Micro-USB — Must be Type-C, or it won’t last long.
Sub-ohm coils — Must offer 1.0+ohm for a good throat hit and flavor.
Leaking — Sick of juice puddles in my pocket. Need it to hold thin, 70% PG juice.
Flavorless and loose draw — Need an intense, warm hit for low mg juices. Too much air kills the taste.
Low quality battery — Need it to last more than a couple of months
Button fires too easy — Nothing like the taste of burnt coil! Yum yum.
Price – For non-replaceable batteries I expect to pay less than $40
Coils hard to find – Must be available locally. Shipping may not be an option soon.

I’d also like to see the pens put to some hard tests. For example, can you taste any flavor using a weak, berry-flavored juice? Do you get any throat-hit from a 3mg juice on a 0.8ohm coil? Did the DTL device produce any clouds on a 0.4ohm coil, and how did it compare to similar priced box mods?

Sounds like you have burnt the cotton.. This is usually due the cotton drying out. The coil (the part that heats up) sits inside the cotton and if any point that cotton has dry spots it will burn. This, unfortunately sounds like what has happened.

With a device like this that works at high wattage it can work through e-liquid quickly. So if you only filled it, just covering the holes, then had to rotate to try and soak the cotton it’s likely not enough e-liquid was soaking right the way through the cotton.

To make matters worse, once you have that burnt cotton taste coming through the coil is pretty much done for, you will need to replace.

Not a device I’d necessarily recommend to a beginner. Having said that if you enjoy it (when not leaking and burning) then that’s all good.

For the leaking, this could have been a few things.

E-liquids with a higher VG content are recommended as opposed to say 50PG/50VG which is a ‘thinner’ e-liquid. Although it sounds like you may have possibly had a coil issue if the leaking was rectified with the replacement..

Just be sure to fill the tank next time around, ensure your juice is 70VG or 80VG and you should be good.

My husband bought me a Smok Stick Prince a few weeks ago. This is my first vape pen ever! From the very beginning, it leaked if it wasn’t standing perfectly upright, but it wasn’t a lot, so I didn’t really worry about it.

I did finally get tired of it leaking, so hubby took it apart, made sure everything looked right, put it back together. It leaked worse! So I took it apart yesterday and changed out the atomizer for the extra one in the box. No leaks! Yay! However, now it has a terrible burnt smell to it every time I try to use it.

When I changed out the atomizer, I filled the tank with a small amount of e-liquid (didn’t want to waste any more if it was going to leak), making sure that at least the bottom holes were covered. I let it sit like that for about 4 hours, coming and rotating it a bit every so often to make sure all the holes got covered. It still smells!!! I’m a newbie, so did I do something wrong??? And is this the best pen for me since I’m brand new to this???

I to wanted such a setup and have settled on an endura T20s battery with a berserker mini rta on top.

Works perfectly with 0.8-1.2 ohm builds.

Just Incase anyone wants to try a similar setup.
