VGOD e-liquid is from one of the most recognizable names in the vape industry.

Even if you don’t think you know them, chances are if you have seen a vape trick video on Facebook or Youtube, you’ve watched a VGOD video with their minigun hoops, jellyfish and any number of shapes being made out of vapour.VGOD Vape Juice Review

Blowing a couple of O’s just don’t cut it anymore.

What Can We Expect From These VGOD Liquids?

All of these juices have come in 60ml bottles filled to 50ml and a 70/30 mix. This lets you place a 10ml nic shot in the bottle to bring to a 3mg juice. The bottle nozzle is easily removed to place your nic shot.

As most people will put a nic shot in their juice, I have placed a standard 10ml nic shot in the bottles. You can read more about short fill e-juice here.

The Wotofo Recurve will be used for this review with and Interlock Clapton Coil ohming in at 0.18 ohms. Sitting on top of the Ultroner EOSII running at 80 Watts. Let’s find out if they can beat some of our best rated e-liquids.

These bottles of e-juice have been supplied by NewVaping for the purposes of the review and I will give my honest opinion.

VGOD Apple Bomb

vgod apple bomb review

VGOD says:

Strolling along green grassy rolling hills overlooking the coast, you come upon a lone tree and find solace in its’ shade. It is a perfect time for a refreshingly juicy and crisp Granny Apple, so you reach inside your pack to find your mod. You take a rip of Apple Bomb and it instantly detonates notes of a mesmerizing juicy apple at the fore of the hit.

Throughout the pull you taste a momentary rich sour tartness that bursts through to a captivating savorous candied apple sweetness on the exhale. After a few hits of Apple Bomb you’re erupting with energy and ready to blaze your trail once again!

I say:

Sniffing the bottle you most definitely get a very strong apple smell, the finger taste is very sour apple, like squint your eyes level sour. It was just like drinking an apple concentrate without the water.

The inhale brings a subtle sour that just tickles your tongue, the exhale brings a really nice apple, slightly candied and not overpowering, the water just went into that concentrate.

The apple aftertaste hangs for a short period and this is quite pleasant.

This is probably one of my best experiences with an apple flavoured vape, it’s not too sweet and as VGOD says, they have pretty much nailed the Granny Smith apple with this juice.

VGOD Berry Bomb

vgod berry bomb review

VGOD says:

Hittin sweet freshies all morning, it’s time to lay low on the top deck at the sugar-coated summit watching snow sprinkle like confectionary. A craving arises for something fruity, but candylike. It’s time for VGOD’s Berry Bomb! Drippin it, you can’t hardly wait for the balance of sweetness and tangy sour strawberries.

As you inhale, it’s instantly satisfyingly sublime strawberry zest on the top note! As it hits the back of your throat you taste a lip-smacking tartness middle note, but quickly you’re blasted with candied strawberry as a base note on the exhale. Bursting with Berry Bomb charge you take a couple more pulls and your driven to make your way back to the slopes to blast out fresh tracks!

I say:

The smell from the bottle is exactly like inhaling deeply from a bag of strawberry shoelace sweets, I got VERY excited about that.

The finger test, well, this was stronger than a strawberry concentrate and then came a strange aftertaste. That aftertaste hangs around, it didn’t want to leave.

It was just like an unsteeped juice, very chemical like taste. I did leave it to steep for a few more days before going back to it just to give it a chance.

Four full days later, no change, so onto the vape.

The inhale, gives you a very subtle strawberry taste, with the exhale being a lot more of a candied strawberry. Unfortunately the after taste with this for me, was not pleasant, vaping for an hour took hours to get shot of the aftertaste that was quite frankly interfering with other vapes.

I did go back to this after it was steeping for nearly 2 weeks, there still isn’t any change to the chemical aftertaste, it is possible to be just down to the batch made at the time.

VGOD Baklava

VGOD backlava e-juice review

VGOD says:

VGOD’s Baklava is so sweet and rich just like the pastry you love. VGOD has perfected the combination of fresh filo and finely chopped nuts held together with sweet sticky honey to create a satisfyingly succulent dessert vape!

I say:

Firstly, that is the shortest paragraph that VGOD has against any of its juice.

The initial smell from the bottle you can pick up notes of pastry and honey, the finger taste test initially was a sweet flavour bomb that really opens your eyes with the honey followed by an after taste of nuts.

The inhale definitely gives you a subtle pastry taste, the exhale brings on a type of honey with an after taste of nuts lingering on your tongue after you have finished the breath out.

There is something with the honey though, it makes me think of parma violet sweets and you pick up that very fragrant smell during your exhale.

This is not a bad representation of the middle eastern pastry, I just can’t quite put my finger on the flavour that comes with the honey.

An enjoyable sweet after diner vape, wouldn’t be able to vape it all day long though.

Final Review Verdict

So, this is my first experience with VGOD e-liquid and I have to say, it’s really not all that bad.

VGOD Apple Bomb could, and probably will, become one of my all day vapes. Out of the three this was definitely my favourite.

I’ve tried a number of apple vapes in the past and this is ranked up right at the top, VGOD took their time to get that apple flavour just right.

The Baklava dessert flavour, it’s a nice vape and it is pretty close to the profiles of an actual baklava but that additional flavour profile that is in there, throws it off from being a completely accurate representation.

A strange and unique choice to launch a dessert range with, but good for them to go for something a bit different, I feel it has paid off.

The Berry Bomb is the only real disappointment in all this, and I really do hope it was just a problem with that particular batch.

That aftertaste will put you off it, I was tasting it for hours after I finished vaping it, no amount of toothpaste was getting rid of it.

I will definitely be trying more from the VGOD range in the future.

Do you vape VGOD E-Liquid? We would love to hear your thoughts and flavour recommendations in the comments below.

There’s no doubt that VGOD are a prominent figure in the vaping scene with their backwards-snapback-wearing, jellyfish-making, hoop pushing tricksters! They have also branched out into the hardware scene with their Elite Series of devices and tanks, STIG Pods and their Pro Series too! And this is where this device falls into place, the Pro 200 Kit.

The VGOD Pro 200 Kit consists of the Pro 200 Mod which is a 200w, dual 18650 device with modes including Wattage, Temp Control, Pro Mode (Power Curve) and Mech Mode.VGOD-Pro-200-Front-Side

On top of the Pro 200 Mod sits the VGOD Pro Sub-Tank, aka “The No Bullshit Tank” which has been marketed as “No weird confusing names or fillers, just good coils and great flavour” …*chuckles*VGOD-Pro-SubTank-Side

The Pro Sub-Tank has a 5ml e-liquid capacity and is 24mm in diameter. You have a choice of a 0.2 and 0.4 Shotgun Coil which are both included in the kit, as well as an optional RBA deck which is available to purchase separately.

Design and Build Quality

Pro Sub-Tank

Drip Tip/Top Cap:

The drip tip is a proprietary and screws onto the top of the tank with threading on the inside.VGOD-Pro-SubTank-Drip-Tip

Top Fill Port:

After you unscrew the drip tip, it reveals the rubber grommet which ‘seals’ in the e-liquid.VGOD-Pro-SubTank-Top-Fill

Unfortunately it seals in the air as well, making it hard for it to escape thus making filing a rather messy task…VGOD-Pro-SubTank-FillingVGOD-Pro-SubTank-Drip

This can be fixed by removing said grommet and filling it like any normal top-fill tank.VGOD-Pro-SubTank-GasketVGOD-Pro-SubTank-Filling2

Just remember to reinsert the grommet afterwards otherwise you’ll be getting wet pockets!

The Airflow Base:

At the base of the tank you have two large holes for airflow. The airflow control ring moves rather nicely, so no complaints about that. You’ve also got a lot of airflow to play with, so it should cover most DTL vapers!VGOD-Pro-SubTank-Airflow

At the base there is the usual VGOD branding and a rather nicely protruding gold plated 510 pin.VGOD-Pro-SubTank-Base

VGOD Pro Sub-Tank – Overall:

Overall, the construction of the tank is pretty damn solid! The only annoying bits would be the proprietary drip tip and the dodgy top-fill grommet. These could both be fixed by releasing a drip tip with the grommet built into the base of the drip. Whether VGOD will do that or not is a completely different matter.

The VGOD Pro 200 Mod:

510 Connector:

At the top of the VGOD Pro 200 is the 510 connector which is offset towards the front of the device. It has a stainless steel surround and a gold plated springy 510 pin.VGOD-Pro-200-510-Close

Also at the top we have the fire button. It is flush mounted and has a rather spongy click to it. Definitely not tickling my pickle here.VGOD-Pro-200-510

The Front & Back of the Device

On the front of the device there is a rather nice LED colour screen! It has all the information you need on there including your fire profile, resistance, wattage, voltage and battery levels.VGOD-Pro-200-Wattage

Below that are the +/- buttons which are nice and clicky as well as the micro USB port for charging. Although you can charge through this port, I would always recommend that you charge via a suitable external charger.VGOD-Pro-200-Screen-Off

On the back there is the VGOD logo laser etched into the paintwork.VGOD-Pro-200-Back

The Sides:

On the sides of the VGOD Pro 200 you have a waffle-like rubber grip.VGOD-Pro-200-Side

And on the battery door side there is a VGOD shield.VGOD-Pro-200-Logo

The Battery Bay:

The battery bay is pretty damn tidy! Nice gold plated contacts and clearly marked polarity symbols as well as a ribbon for removal.VGOD-Pro-200-Battery-Bay1VGOD-Pro-200-Battery-Bay2

At the top and the bottom there are some rather strong magnets that cling onto the door a little too much, and sometimes batteries get stuck on there when you are inserting/removing them. Can magnets ever be too strong? I dunno… But despite the strong magnets and two locating lugs, the battery door still manages to move about whilst in the hand.

VGOD Pro 200 Mod – Overall:

Overall, the mod is cumbersome, heavy, weirdly shaped and doesn’t fit comfortably in the hand. It’s comparable to a smashed up house brick.

From how they display it on the VGOD website, you have to hold it with your finger on the fire button rather than your thumb. Nah, not for me. But, the screen is nice and easy to read and navigate, and it fires on the button. The power delivery is nice and consistent too!

Another thing I would like to add, is that this device arrived to me with only Ti TC mode enabled, so I had to go through the menu system to remove that and add wattage.VGOD-Pro-200-Watt-Off

I think that is should come with wattage on as standard, or even all modes and then allow you to switch off specific ones if you don’t use them.

How Does The VGOD Pro Sub-Tank Perform?

Coil Performance

0.2Ω Shotgun Coil (30-100w)VGOD-Pro-SubTank-02-Coil

So, as you can see this coil has a MASSIVE ‘usable’ wattage range. 30W?!? Challenge accepted. Aaaand, it is just TERRIBLE! Flavour – 0 Clouds – 0.1.

Let’s skip to 60w as this is where it is recommended to be ‘best’… Pfft. Nothing special. Yes, it is better, but nothing I would shout from the hilltops about.

80w – Now this is where things are getting better and more pleasurable. A nice warm vape. The flavour has picked up to an almighty 1 or 2 out of 10! Clouds are amazeballs though. So good for the people who like to throw some phat O’s whilst impressing the grannies at the bus stop.

100w – We’ve reached the peak of this coils recommended wattage. The heat has increased a little bit compared to 80w and the flavour has remained around the same. The clouds – Well, if you’re a DJ and have one of those ‘smoke’ machines, you may have found your new replacement. #CloudsForDayyyyyyys

0.4Ω Shotgun Coil (30-70w)VGOD-Pro-SubTank-04-Coil

So, let’s try this at 30w which is the minimum… Just as disappointing as the 0.2 version. No. Just no.

45w (Recommended ‘Best’) – It’s still strugging. Flavour is a 1. Clouds are a 1 as well.

56w – The vapour production has picked up nicely and the flavour has hit about a 2 out of 10.

70w – Again, the clouds are getting better, maybe a 5/10 The flavour is pretty much the same.

I think I’m going to push this coil a little further to see what it can comfortably do…

76w – NOW we are getting somewhere. The coil has sprung into life! No laggy ramp up, the flavour has picked up and so has the clouds

80w – The coil is now struggling. I’m getting a slightly dry and tingly taste. It can’t handle two 0.7sec puffs one after another.

Pros

VGOD Pro 200 Mod

  • Nice screen
  • Fires on the button
  • Solid feel

VGOD Pro Sub-Tank

  • Great clouds!
  • Nice feeling adjustable airflow
  • A good looking tank

Cons

VGOD Pro 200 Mod

  • Awkward shape
  • Heavy
  • Too strong magnets
  • Weirdly located fire button
  • No Micro USB cable included

VGOD Pro Sub-Tank

  • 0.2 Coil has little to no flavour throughout the wattage range
  • 0.4 Coil isn’t suited for any of the recommended wattage range
  • 30w lowest rating on the 0.2 is FAR too low. Should be 60-100w
  • Top fill ports don’t allow air to escape

Final Review Verdict

Well. What can I say… This is the first VGOD product I have tried and I am not impressed at all.

We’ll start with the VGOD Pro 200 mod and the pros. It fires well and the screen is nicely laid out, and that is pretty much all it has going for it. On the flipside it is heavy, and feels extremely awkward in the hand.

As for the Pro Sub-Tank, the only redeeming quality is the cloud production. The flavour is just absolutely abysmal on both coils. So if you’re looking for flavour from this ‘No Bullshit Tank’ I would recommend going elsewhere. This is all clouds and no flavour from the offset.

So would I recommend you buying this VGOD Pro 200 Kit with your hard earned cash? No. Not at all. All the cons outweigh the pros and overall it makes this kit most probably one of the worst dual battery kits I have used/reviewed in 2018.

As for the price. Originally this was up on the VGOD website for $119.95 (£94.47) and has been reduced in the sale to $65. So that’s around £50 over here in the UK. Is it worth that price? I’ll let you decide. But there must be a reason why it has been reduced by 46%…

vgod stig main

They truly are one of vaping’s most popular kids on the block, with a reputation for building gear that is pretty much untarnished and supporting the wonderful world of tricking.

Yup, VGOD is one of those rarities among brands, that pretty much never suffers a fail and, with award-winning products like their Elite Mech, their Pro Mech and their incredible Pro R2 RDTA, there as a testament to their immaculate design prowess, it’s easy to understand why

So…I wondered…why the hell are they releasing this weird little disposable pod system and how does it fit in with the rest of their gear?

It seems so out of place amongst their lineup and indeed, the VGOD Stig pod system can’t even be found on the brand’s website. Hmmmm….it didn’t take me too long to see the beauty in these Stig pods, with a little help from some friends who just can’t get the hang of vaping.

Build Quality & Design

The VGOD Stig is as simple a device as you’ll ever lay hands on. It looks like a USB stick and it’s the same size.

Black plastic, with the STIG brand on one side and the flavour brand on the other. The 72 x 10 mm pod tapers on one end to accommodate your lips comfortably.stig vgod pod

There is an 8.5 x 1.5 mm opening through which you draw on that same end.

On the other end of the Stig, there is a tiny hole which acts as restricted mouth to lung (MTL) airflow hole and a port for the blue LED light which lights up when you fire (draw activated) and flashes when your battery is flat.

That is that, honestly…you can’t open it, charge it or fill it because it is, indeed, a disposable pod!

How Does The Vgod STIG Disposable Pod Perform?

First up, if you’ve never heard of nic-salts….let me explain. Cigarettes contain a number of chemicals which are there solely to speed up your body’s nicotine uptake. Many heavy smokers, who try to use vaping to stop, fail because during a nicotine vape, the nicotine hits you slow and steady, in a very different way to the way it does when you smoke…which is quick as hell.

So, the bright minds of vaping managed to come up with a delivery method that gets that nic into your bloodstream as fast as fags do…without the struggling to breathe and eventually, possibly dying of lung cancer or emphysema part.

For a full lowdown check out our guide that answers the question: What are nicotine salts?

As a very limited nicotine user (usually 0-3mg) the nic salt, 60mg experience came as quite a shock to my system.SAtig VGOD mouthpiece

The very restricted airflow, together with the draw activation and intense nic-salt throat hit on this device, for the first few hours actually activated my guilt reflex….my subconscious was convinced I was smoking fags.

Let’s just say, nic-salts are powerful and the Stig is one great way to deliver them.

I only received the Lush Ice flavour, which is a cooling watermelon and in spite of the intensity of the nicotine hit, the flavour comes through strong and clear with a nice coolant on the tongue and the essence of watermelon singing with tongue-tip sweetness and through your nostrils.

It took me a total of about 6 hours to get addicted to the Stig, I’m not going to lie. I quickly went online to check out where I could find these in my part of the world and how much they cost. This is not so much a testament to their actual performance on the vape front as it is to the high quality of their nic-salt juice.

I’ve tried numerous cigalikes and pod mod vapes…scores of MTL devices that claim to mimic the sensation of smoking a cigarette but I’ve never tried one that worked so well that it made me feel a subconscious pang of guilt… as if I had relapsed into smoking cancer sticks.

My first thoughts were…damn, this is the ultimate cessation device and my second thought was…damn, I gotta test this theory on some actual smokers.Vgod stig box

I took the Stig on an outing with a couple of friends who I just can’t get to kick the habit.

As much as I’ve tried to push my vapes onto them they don’t take the bait…they claim that vaping can’t give them the kick that their cigarettes do. They are both heavy smokers and I always smell like a soggy, cider-drenched ashtray after a ladies night out with the pair! Lol!

The Vgod Stig was an instant hit, such a hit in fact, that I hardly got draw in for the first hour, until I finally put my foot down and said “buy your own, bitches”…both girls claiming that they found a hit of the Stig provided more of a kick, with the same hand and draw feel as their beloved fags. I now know what to get them for Christmas…birthdays or both.

I received 3 Stigs of the same flavour in a box and was sceptical when I read the claim of ‘approximately equivalent to 60 cigarettes’ printed on the back of the black box packaging.

I would say that we got approximately 220 draws on the first Stig (yes, I did make an effort to keep count)…enough to get me very keen to open my second, despite the fact that most of the device was shared with my two, now Stig craving buddies.

On the second day…I opened my second Stig with SERIOUS anticipation. Sadly, the power on the second device felt diminished, the draws felt slightly less effective and all in all, I counted 180 draws.

I grabbed a brick from the yard and bashed the exhausted Stig…extracting the Lithium Ion battery and juice tank. About a third of the liquid was left behind, there must have been a drain on the battery somewhere along the line, to my dismay, causing the battery to fail slightly before the tank was finished.Stig VGOD battery

I can’t deny the fact that I (and my die-hard-smoker friends) enjoyed the Stig experience deeply. It’s soooo small, soooo discreet, can easily be vaped in a cinema without anyone even noticing (hahaha, yes, I did it!) and yet it delivers a potent nicotine kick that will keep you satisfied and even make you feel slightly queasy if you have too many draws in a row!

This is an effective stealth device and, I’m sure of it, and an even more effective quitting aid. We’re not necessarily supposed to call vapes quitting aids and yet I must proclaim that, based on my own experience with the VGOD Stig, I can’t think of a better cessation device for a person with a serious cigarette-nicotine habit.

As a device for people who are already vapers…there’s a place for it, as a fall back and stealth device or as a quick nicotine fix when you are tricking with a zero nic liquid for hours on end and in need of a pick-me-up.

Can I afford it, personally? Based on the rate at which I ploughed through its nicotine rushy deliciousness, no…I cannot. Can you, maybe! I am South African, so I’m pretty much always broke. At least, I think that’s because I’m South African, lol.

How To Fill

Sorry…the Stig is a disposable device! That means, no filling!

Stock Coil Performance

The Stig has a tiny little open coil and wick inside its 1.2ml juice tank. It provides very much the same amount of vapour as a cigarette provides smoke. The coil fires when you take a draw on the device. The coil’s resistance is unknown but the actual dimensions of the coil and wick combined are roughly 8mm by 2.5 mm…so I’d imagine the resistance is fairly high.

Battery Life

With intermittent use, the pre-charged battery should give you anywhere between 1 and 2 days power. I did notice a large discrepancy between devices in my single pack. Also…it’s recommended that you use your pods within 3 months as the batteries do degrade or drain.

Pros

  • Extremely compact
  • Restricted draw mimics cigarettes perfectly
  • Draw activated fire also fools the brain into thinking this is a cigarette!
  • Incredibly powerful, quick action nicotine fix
  • Awesome, full flavour with a solid as HELL throat hit

Cons

  • Batteries can be inconsistent and sometimes die before the juice runs out
  • Disposable batteries not so great for the environment

Final Review Verdict

The Vgod Stig is a very high nicotine device, I’m not gonna lie. 60 MG will have anyone with addictive tendencies climbing the walls as soon as the device runs dry (Like me, right now, no lie).

A very effective nic-salt delivery system with exceptional flavour. Perfect for transitioning from cigarettes with and also perfect for stealthy kicks at work, in the mall, in the cinema and when you’re tricking with zero nic liquids all day.

I must warn you to exercise temperance when toking on this little rocket as it is bloody strong!!!! I must admit…I’m not totally supportive of such readily disposable batteries as that does pose some serious environmental issues but if it’s a fix you’re after, the Stig will have your back, no two ways about it.

I do like the soft touch design of this mod, really makes it stand out.

However I do get a flash of “Ann-Summers” when I look at this mod? Perhaps I’m just weird.

Anyway this is a pricey kit really, but usually with mech mods there is little to go wrong apart from wear and tear and some maintenance so this should be worth it.

Is the VGOD tickling your fancy? Let me know in the comments below!

The VGOD Elite 200 Steel is a limited edition mod featuring a matte black aluminium body with brushed stainless steel features.

VGOD Elite steel viewsThis is a clever mod which has a power output of up to 200W. But this also can be used in Mechanical Mod mode (unregulated) and will output 4.2V continuous.

There are also the standard VW and Temperature control modes on this.

A power curve mode adds more options for customisation.

A large customisable display measuring 23x12mm adds to the beauty of this.

The VGOD badge on the side is just the icing on the beautiful cake!

VGOD Elite 200 side viewThis takes 2x18650 batteries which are not included so make sure to buy some good quality batteries and an external charger before this arrives!

A “first look” video is shown on the VGOD YouTube page – so have a nosey yourself as it’s included below.

Hopefully being released on 1st December this will be a limited edition – however I am unsure as to how “limited”. The video says there will only be 3000 units with serial numbers.

You can upgrade the firmware on this and already as stated in the video there will be a firmware upgrade for the fire button delay.

Kit Includes

  • VGOD Elite 200 Steel Mod
  • User manual

This is a REALLY expensive device. The limited edition status will obviously add to the price. Plus the good quality materials used in the construction will hopefully make this more robust and worth the money.

There are so many features on the mod it should provide more than enough functions for most vapers and many you won’t even use.

Do you think this is worth the premium price? Let me know in the comments below!

Design and Build Quality

When I looked at both these products within their packing materials I was overwhelmed at how good both these items were presented!Vgod Pro Mech Pro Drip side on

The VGod Pro Mech I own is a black Billet Aluminium construction. I consider it to be of excellent build quality and design, it also comes with a high quality hard carry case.

The 24mm Vgod Pro Drip RDA on review is the Stainless Steel version, again, excellent build quality and while the design is good it did have me scratching my head somewhat.

Reason being, the RDA has a Kennedy style airflow and two velocity style posts, the top cap has protrusions that marry up with notches on the base (more about this later).

I did not find any machine oil within the RDA however out of habit I gave the RDA a good wash with warm water before use, all threads operate smoothly for both items.

A quick guide to installing battery, coils and wicking

Important for your safety: This is a hybrid mechanical mod therefore before you operate this device please ensure you have sufficient knowledge of Ohm’s law and battery safety.

Pro Drip

  • Take off the top cap and install your coils
  • Pass your cotton through your coils and tuck into the liquid well
  • Wet your cotton with an e liquid of your choice and fill the juice well
  • Replace the cap, lining up the protrusions with the notches on the base
  • Screw the RDA on to the hybrid connection on your Mech.

Vgod Pro Drip RDA wicked

Pro Mech

Unscrew the battery switch and insert your battery we recommend the use of Sony VTC5A or similar quality batteries.Vgod Pro Mech button

Tip: always make sure with any hybrid mech mod that you always put the RDA on first before you insert any battery.

Also check that the connection pin on your RDA sticks out at least 1mm or more, if not do not use the RDA on the hybrid Mech!

The Pro Drip is made to complement the Pro Mech so is perfectly safe.

How Does the Vgod Pro Drip and Vgod Pro Mech Perform?

The Vgod Pro Drip disassembles into 3 parts:

  • Top cap
  • Build Deck
  • Delrin mouthpieceVgod Pro Drip RDA pieces

The Vgod Pro Mech has 2 parts:

  • The barrel or body of the mech
  • The battery switchVgod Pro Mech button

Pro DripVgod Pro Drip RDA cap and base

Top cap/ mouthpiece

Has VGOD engraved on one side above one of the two cap protrusions; the top of the cap is flat with threads for the screw on delrin mouth piece.

The build deck base

The RDA features a dual velocity style post which make coiling very easy even for novice vapers.Vgod Pro Drip RDA internal

The grub screws are flat screwdriver type. In the spares bag you have a mixture of flats and Allen grub screws.

The positive post sits on a thin insulator while the internal airflow is handled by 2 post airflow rather like the Kennedy, your coils sit over these.

There is a deep liquid well for cotton and e liquid.

On the base of the build deck you have your Kennedy style bottom airflow and on the base we have a gold plated connection pin and the words printed faintly “Official VGOD USA RDA” and what looks to me like a reverse USA flag. Vgod Pro Drip RDA bottomVgod Pro Drip RDA connection base

Pro Mech

The Barrel or the body of the mech is (on the version I have) made of Billet Aluminium.

The black, hardwearing coating is smooth but not so smooth that you’d be in danger of the mech slipping from your hand.Vgod Pro Mech button parts 1

On one side of the mech body you have the word “VGOD” deeply engraved into the black covering, on the reverse side you have 5 battery vent holes.

The hybrid connection threads are smooth to use with the hybrid cap also including the words “Official VGOD USA PRO Mech”, and what looks to me again like a reverse USA flag printed.

The battery switch

The switch can be taken apart. The contact is copper and the switch houses a insulating self adjustment ring so there is no need to adjust this mech to stop battery rattle.Vgod Pro Mech button parts 2

The spring is gold plated and of an excellent quality. In fact it looks like they have used 2 springs in one. The button is also aerospace grade carbon fibre encrusted.Vgod Pro and e liquid

I have been using the VGOD Pro Mech and Drip RDA combo for nearly a month now and in that time have had several builds in the RDA.

For this review I used a dual kanthal setup of 22g on a 3.5mm bit. The resistance worked out to 0.2 and I used Anarchist red e liquid.

I have to say the Pro Mech is a delight to use.

The throw on the switch is just right, not to deep and not to shallow, even with my hands the device fires every time.

The Pro Drip RDA is super easy to build on as is the case with all velocity style posts.

The airflow, while not the swishiest, is good and allows you a goodly amount of vapour, I have found that the closer to the internal airflow your coils are situated the better the flavour you get.

See The VGOD Pro Drip RDA in Action With My Video Review

What I Like

Vgod Pro Mech – the non slip durable hardwearing covering is excellent, the carbon fibre button is a delight that feels very nice under your finger. As a bonus Vgod have included a high quality hard carry case which is something I’ve never personally experienced before when buying a Mech Mod.

Vgod Pro Drip RDA – both the flavour and the vapour quality from this RDA is excellent with the right coils loaded the vapour can be super thick.

What I Didn’t Like

The only things I found I didn’t like about the Pro Drip RDA is the placement of the posts.

They are a little too far apart in my opinion, making it a little harder to perfectly centre your coils over the internal airflow.

There is also a little plate that is almost level with the airflow, I like to splurge my liquid from the top through the mouth piece!

Too much liquid this way will result in leakage from the bottom airflow; also the airflow is a little tight for my liking but not a deal breaker.

Final Review Verdict

While I am not a vape trickster I can see the appeal to those that like to blow O’s, I own quite a few mechanical hybrid mods and can safely say that this combo is most definitely my favourite so far.

The quality and presentation of both the VGOD Pro Mech and Pro Drip RDA are much better than I have experience in the past with other company’s.

Would I buy the VGOD Pro mech mod and Drip RDA if I lost or damaged either one?

Oh yes!

In fact, I’ve already spoken to the Vapour Room about ordering the copper and red coloured version.

The Pro Mech is not a beginner’s device and is intended for those with experience with such products!

Important for your safety: before operating any mechanical mod please make sure you have sufficient knowledge of Ohm’s law and Battery safety.

Pros

  • The build quality of both the Pro Mech and the Pro Drip RDA are excellent
  • Great vapour production from the RDA and the flavour was excellent
  • The RDA is very easy to coil ideal for those new to coiling
  • The Mech feels very nice in the hand and is quite light even with a battery installed
  • As a bonus you get a hard carry case
  • The button switch is easy to operate, the spring is just the right tension

Cons

  • No real big cons with either of these Vgod products
  • if pressed I would say that the posts in the Pro Drip are a little to far apart

VGOD have been around the vaping scene for a while, their brand clearly embracing (and sponsoring) cloud chasing and vape tricks.

As well as a line of E-Liquids and merchandise they have been producing hardware with the aim of fitting that niche of the market.vgod tricktank

The VGod Tricktank is their attempt at a pre-built sub-ohm tank, alongside their RDTA and mods, to cater to the vape trickster without using an RDA.

To do this they have teamed up with CoilArt who started business producing higher performance coils for existing sub-ohm tanks.

So have VGod produced a tank capable of supporting the vape trick community?

In The Box

The packaging is a normal box affair, much simpler and understated than some of the packaging we see from other manufacturers.vgod tricktank box

On the rear we find the usual marketing blurb along with contents list, obligatory warnings and authenticity scratch panel.

Inside we find the following:

  • VGod Tricktank
  • 0.5 Ohm parallel kanthal coil (Pre Fitted)
  • 0.2 Ohm parallel Kanthal coil
  • Spare Pyrex tank glass

There are no other spares such as seals/O-rings included.

Build Quality & Design

The tank is made from an unspecified stainless steel, with a Delrin mouthpiece top and Pyrex tank glass. The body is 24mm wide and 30mm high to the base of the mouthpiece.

The Delrin mouthpiece/shield is removable and both it and the stainless cap beneath will accept a standard 510 drip tip.VGod Tricktank review

The top cap unscrews to permit refilling in the style of the Aspire Cleito and others, meaning that there is no frame holding the glass in place, simply friction between the glass and the base silicone seal.

The base bears the Tricktank name and three wide airflow holes belying its intended cloudy trick intention. These airflow holes are non-adjustable.vgod tricktank reviewed

The bottom bears the VGod Logo engraving with TrickLyfe slogan along with the US Flag.

The 510 centre pin is gold plated but non-adjustable and does not stand particularly proud of the thread which may be a safety concern if used on a hybrid style mod.vgod trick tank base

How Does The VGod Trictank Perform?

The 3ml tank is easy to fill although the threads were initially a little tight, as was the seal to remove the glass to change the coil.

The latter is probably a good thing bearing in mind this is the only thing holding that in place.

What you do need to bear in mind when refilling is to block the airflow and as you perform the final few turns to secure the top invert the device to prevent juice leakage.

Not a particularly easy task.

The 0.5 Ohm coil is rated between 30 and 70W, the 0.2 Ohm coil between 30 and 80W, with pretty capacious juice holes, wide open base and very wide internal chimney.vgod-tricktank-coil

Changing the coils requires removal of the glass, the seal for which is quite tight and took some effort to remove.

When re-fitting the glass you need to take care not to damage the seal as there’s no spare.

When re-fitting the coils you’ll need to make sure that they’re screwed down tightly enough to prevent them coming unscrewed at filling and dumping juice through the air vents.

Juicing Up The Coils

Juiced up I started both coils at 30W, which unsurprisingly for such a wide airflow and high power tank produced little in the way of clouds or flavour.fill-vgod-trick-tank

The airflow is a bit noisy so this isn’t one to use if you’re watching a movie.

At 45W flavour and vapour begin to kick in, however at 55W things definitely improve, the vape a little warmer but certainly more satisfying.

Despite the wide-open flow the flavour is pretty good, with the CoilArt coils playing no small part in this.

However, as is common with wide vertical coils there is some mild spitting which does increase a little as we creep up the wattage’s.

Both coils performed well at their maximum ratings, delivering good amounts of fairly dense vapour.

However, there is a caveat to this. At higher wattages you’re using a LOT of juice, and wicking takes time.

For that reason, VGOD & CoilArt recommend that you do not draw for more than 5 seconds and that you let the device rest between vapes to prevent dry hits and burning.

Pushing the envelope a little, I took the 0.5 Ohm coil up to 100W and following the instructions regarding wicking found no issues. The vape was warmer, approaching hot and the vape was dense.

The 0.2Ohm coil made it up to 130W. This is pretty impressive given the wicking limitations and dimensions of the tank.

That said you wouldn’t want to stay at that wattage for long as the tank empties pretty quickly and you do lose some flavour.

The body of the tank didn’t get particularly hot in use, and unlike many RDTA/RDA devices there was little condensation visible around the base.

Final Review Verdict

First, the VGod Tricktank is a capable prebuilt coil tank, performs well for its size and generates good quantities of vapour, it wouldn’t make a bad backup for an avid vaper.

However, the device has its flaws. As with the SMY TC 75 mini kit and many other Cleito styled tanks, the design itself does not lend itself to leak or stress free use.

As the seals wear the chances of dislodging the glass at filling increase and the coils can become unscrewed when opening. Given the criticality of that base seal I’m very surprised to see no spare in the box as it’s not a standard O-ring.

No air flow control limits the options for the tank, it’s clouds or nothing. It also means that refilling becomes more difficult than it needs to be.

The mouthpiece/heat-shield works fine, it’s just a shame that if you remove it you’re left with that awkward O-ring adorned tube which looks stupid, as does another drip tip stuck into the top of the mouthpiece.

Those aren’t the killer however.

The price of the tank puts it very close to things like the GeekVape Eagle TopFlow, the Steamcrave RDTA (which also has prebuilt coils available) and others.

It’s also not miles from the price of a lot of RDTAs.

In short, it’s a good sub ohm tank but there are some kinks and far too much marketing spin.

Yes, it’s good but it’s not going to beat a good RDA or RDTA.

Pros

  • Nicely styled
  • Good, capable coils
  • Good vapour production

Cons

  • No Adjustable 510 pin
  • No air flow control
  • No spare seals
  • No TC coils offered
  • Ugly 510 option
