As you might expect from an AIO [all in one] device simplicity is key here.

This really is a fill and go vape kit hence the name I guess.

Out of the box neither of the MTL or DTL coils are installed – so depending on what style you vape choose the coil to match.

The 0.5ohm is for sub ohm vaping and obviously the 1.5ohm is for mouth to lung – how they perform I’ll get to in a moment.

The Vaporfi VAIO Go is powered by a very respectable 2000mAH battery and there are no settings or screen to worry about – the chip recognises the resistance of the coil and adjusts automatically.

There’s a very generous airflow that is mirrored on both sides.

At just 3ml capacity sub ohm vapers may find themselves filling often however it’s more than enough for MTL vapers – fill to the unobtrusive max fill line to avoid flooding your tank.

The kit includes x2 drip tips one each for both vaping styles.

Design and Build Quality

Given I’ve reviewed pretty much all of the current VaporFi products you’ll know from past reviews the build quality is 99.999% of the time superb.

The same goes for the VaporFi VAIO GO it really is beautifully machined.

The tank unscrews with butter like threads as does the airflow ring which has just the right amount of resistance and has a stopper.

Design wise – and I use the word stylish a bit too much lol – is shall we say ‘contemporary’ in that it looks bloody gorgeous.

Another thing I say a lot is there’s not much designers can do to make a pen style vape kit stand out from the crowd.

The design here is simple but stunning – clean – elegant and the metallic colours are sharp very modern with a wonderful finish to them.

It really is an eye catcher and I’m loving the subtle green version I’ve received.

There’s also a refreshing lack of over the top branding or fancy logos with the VaporFi name subtly etched into one side and towards the bottom of the battery – like I said very cool and contemporary.

It’s very lightweight to hold and at just 22mm it fits nicely in your pocket or bag – it is rather long though.

How Does the VaporFi VAIO GO Perform?

1.5Ohm Coil

OK I began with the MTL 1.5ohm coil with the black MTL drip tip- smaller bore – the other slightly wider being stainless steel.

The coil was fully primed and had sat in the juice for a good 10 minutes – I was using a 50-50 VG/PG tobacco e-liquid from Black Note and one I use every day so I know the taste very well indeed.

Unlike a few recent MTL tanks I’ve reviewed the break in time for the coil was about half a tank before I got a decent flavour – however the longer I had this coil on the go the flavour improved.

Longevity wise I began using this on New Year’s Day and the coil still has a freshness about it.

Turning the airflow almost closed gave an extremely tight vape and I found a happy medium with it about a third open for my preferred vape.

Not bad at all!

Sub Ohm Vaping On The VAIO Go With The 0.5Ohm Coil

I popped in the 0.5 Ohm with a high VG e-liquid – again a flavour I vape regularly so know very well indeed from Wick Liquor.

With a clean tank I followed the same procedure of priming the coil and leaving it to sit.

First vape was nothing to write home about however after a couple of puffs to get things moving I was very pleased with both the vapour and most importantly the taste.

Whilst the taste wasn’t as crisp and deep as say the Uwell Crown III – and given I rarely, if ever, use stock coils these days – it was more than passable – indeed very good!

The clouds were a surprise too with thick and dense aromatic vapour that hung around a while – excellent stuff.

What I Like

I like the overall design – those colours are stunning – and the simplicity of use – one click is as easy as it gets.

The flavour is very good and as good as any stock coil sub ohm tank I’ve reviewed – saying that it’s not in my top five all timers but certainly good enough for a top ten.

Vapour wise you can’t fault it though I wouldn’t mark this as a cloud chucker it certainly delivers respectable clouds if that’s your kind of thing.

And this is one of those kits that says it can switch between MTL and DTL and actually can – so a great investment that will take you through both styles should you wish too try either/or.

It’s a great price too!

What I Don’t Like

It is a little long – though saying that I was convinced it would tower above the SMOK Stick V8 – but it really is just a touch smaller – must be some kind of optical illusion!

3ml capacity for the tank means that in sub ohm mode you will be re-filling a lot – but us vapers in the UK are used to 2ml – but still when out and about take a bottle with you!

Final Review Verdict

I like the Vaporfi Vaio Go a lot.

The colours are quite lovely as is the contemporary design – it’s certainly a looker especially with the sub ohm stainless steel drip tip on top.

Flavour is excellent as are the clouds and it’s dead easy to use.

This is an ideal kit for a brand new vaper who can try both MTL [similar draw as smoking] and sub ohm vaping without breaking the bank.

I think VaporFi has a real hit on their hands with this one.

Side Fire Bar And Good Looks So How Does the V Grip From Vaporfi Vape?

It might be small but it packs a lot under that stylish exterior with a large clear screen and good menu of options including a full temperature control suite.

The 24mm 510 means it will easily take the industry standard 24mm tanks and attys and is available in both brushed steel and black.

I’ve been fortunate enough to review every mod and tank VaporFi has produced and the Air 2 aside [I gave it a bit of a mauling to say the least] I’ve found them all to be excellent vape devices.

So how does the V Grip stand up against such a stable of vaping superstars? Can it match the best small vape mods on the market?

It’s a compact stealthy mod powered by a single 18650 battery and vapes between 1w and 75w.

It features a spring loaded 510 that sits 24mm attys without any overhang.

This is a side bar fire mod which makes vaping a very comfortable experience left or right handed – front or back facing.

There’s a full temperature control suite that as you might expect from VaporFi performs well and 3 memory settings.

The 3 x 1.5 cm screen is crystal clear and big enough even for my fading old eyes and the menu is as simple as you like to navigate via the up and down buttons.

There’s also a handy new/coil same coil prompt when adding a new tank or rebuildable simply press the + button to set correct resistance.

Within the menu there’s an bypass mode option which simply means the battery will pump full power to the device until it runs down.

There’s also a fire bar lock switch which is on top of the mod which to the left is unlocked and obviously to the right is locked – a very good safety feature indeed.

Design and Build Quality

As always seems to be the case with pretty much all the VaporFi products I’ve reviewed – and there’s been a lot – the build on the V Grip is first class.

The battery door – which doubles as the fire bar – is held on by strong magnets and snaps into place with a very satisfying clunk – keep your fingers clear!

The body has that brushed steel feel about it – I received the silver and a black version is also available – and there’s battery venting ports on the base and the top sides of the mod which also adds to the design element.

As to design it’s very reminiscent of the JacVapour DNA 75 Sandstorm in looks – so a cross over box mod / pen style device.

The battery door becoming the fire bar is a bit of a stroke of genius from the design department and is very clicky indeed without too much pressure needed to fire.

Indeed the whole design is clean – simple and stylish with a lack of garish logos everywhere – indeed the VaporFi name is stamped into the battery door and looks great.

I’ll say it again but that fire bar lock is a nice touch meaning there are no worries of this firing in your pocket or bag.

So first class build – clever fire bar and a stylish design – so how does this one vape?

How Does the VaporFi V Grip Perform?

First up in temperature control mode and like all the other VaporFi mods I’ve reviewed the V Grip passed my simple test with flying colours.

I used a simple stainless steel micro coil on the VaporFi Venom RDA – the one that changes colour – and firing on an almost dry wick left the tiniest line of darker banding.

The menu is refreshingly easy to navigate though I did get into a bit of a mess fiddling with the memory settings – but I guess folks with a brain will handle that far easier than me.

What I can say is the memory feature – something I rarely if ever use – works very well indeed.

But the highlight for me is the side fire bar – it’s an absolute joy to use.

No matter which way the mod is facing it sits beautifully in the hand with the gentlest of squeezing giving an instant fire – so no worries whatsoever on slow ramp up time.

I have to say I’m thoroughly enjoying using the V Grip and it’s on my desk now and I’m using it regularly – and remember I have the new JacVapour Series B DNA75 and the previous DNA75 version and this one holds its own against both!

What I Like

I absolutely adore the side fire bar [how many times have I mentioned that!] – it makes vaping a pleasure and doubling up as the battery door and the addition of the lock is simple but brilliant.

The menu is easy to navigate with just enough options to not faze newcomers and keep more experienced vapers happy.

Being 24mm means it will fit the vape standard sized atties – 24mm seems to be the mean – and I have had half a dozen on there all fitting flush with little or no overhang – however the more bulbous shaped tanks can look a little odd.

I like the battery life too – I have used this both as an MTL and DTL mod and even at the lofty heights of 53.7w I’ve got around 6 hours normal use – 2 days with the 14w Innokin Zenith coil.

Great price too!

What I Don’t Like

Ummm bit of a head scratcher if I’m honest because despite using this for well over a month I really haven’t found any major issues at all.

Whilst I haven’t been unlucky enough to drop it I do find this kind of brushed steel effect a little slippery.

On saying that – and it really is the tiniest of nit-picks lol – I have a feeling it’s quite a durable device that could take a few knocks.

Final Review Verdict

What can I say this a cracking little box mod that has a stylish simple elegance to it and is highly adaptable.

In other words this is great as a go to MTL device or if you want to chuck a few clouds the industry standard sized [24mm] sub ohm tanks sit nicely on board and it has the power!

But I keep coming back to that fire bar – the device fits snugly in the hand and it really is a pleasure to press – lovely throw and click to it – it takes me back to my childhood Scalextric days

It’s a surprisingly low price too so well worth a punt if you’re looking for a good looking great performing stylish mod.

I haven’t vaped on the original version so can’t compare the two performance wise and from what I can see not a lot has changed.

What To Expect From The Vaporfi Air 2

The Air 2 retains the tiny 350mAH battery but has increased the tank capacity a tad from 0.9 mls to 1.4ml.

OK this is a mouth to lung [MTL] kit aimed as brand new vapers and those of us who like a back up compact and no frills device.

So has this one got me ‘walking in the air‘ with a big smile on my face or given me ‘vaper’s wind‘ – is there even such a thing [comments below lol]?

There’s no bells and whistles with this one simply fill up – charge and vape.

You’re looking at a tiny 350mAh internal battery – an equally tiny 1.4ml capacity tank [all in one] and 1.1ohm coils.

It features none adjustable top airflow and as you might expect from such a small battery charge time is extremely fast – as to longevity we’ll look at that shortly.

Design and Build Quality

OK on opening the box my first thought was ‘this looks like a pregnancy testing kit’ – complete with the black line…

Given the colour of the e-liquid I was using being seen sucking on this in my local pub raised more than a few eyebrows – especially as my beer belly can give the impression of an imminent birth…

In all seriousness – it is tiny and extremely light making it ideal to slip into pockets and bags and is about the same size of a decent fountain pen – or over the counter preggers testing kit…

Unlike most VaporFi products which are well built and sturdy – this one is a little shall we say flimsy with the top cap in particular a bit of a snowflake in that if it’s not correctly lined up it refuses to snap on.

I say snap on – there’s no pleasing click telling you it’s attached you just have to trust that it is.

The airflow is minuscule with two tiny pinpricks on the flattened out mouthpiece – think flute – and combined with the tiny battery and 1.1ohm coil makes the Air 2 a very restricted draw.

Put it this way after a few puffs on the Air 2 I was literally gasping for air and going a little blue in the face…

In fairness the design isn’t that bad and the white version I received whilst a little clinical looking is clean and crisp.

How Does The VaporFi Air 2 Kit Perform?

OK filling it is as simple as snapping off the mouthpiece – unscrewing the coil housing and filling to the black line.

Leave it to soak in for a good 5 minutes – or have a ‘pregnant pause’ as I put it – on the first fill to let the juice soak into the coil before vaping.

First few puffs and apart from a lot of spit-back and gurgling not a lot more was going on – apart from the air around me turning more than a little blue…

I’m not saying it was like vaping on fresh air – I had a reasonable amount of flavour – but the throat hit I was expecting was nowhere near as good as other starter kits on the market.

Fully charged we’re supposed to be getting 15watts – I have no way of measuring this however up against the Innokin EZ Watt it didn’t feel as powerful…

Vapour wise there’s no billowing airy clouds – more like an airy mist over a garden pond in the autumn.

VaporFi say they have updated the online manual for the Air 2 explaining how to avoid spit-back – however the page [at the time of writing] is not found!

I whipped it a few times – took a few dry puffs and fired without drawing – and it did clear for a wee while – however within a few puffs it spat again.

It isn’t flaming hot lava hitting the back of your throat – the battery isn’t strong enough to heat it that much – but it is uncomfortable and no-one likes e-liquid in their mouth no matter how tasty it vapes!

Whilst charging is super-fast – battery longevity as you may expect is not so good with fully charged to empty lasting me between 3 and 4 hours – so not a device to use as your go to!

What I Like

This is the first VaporFi product I haven’t liked at all.

It looks very clinical in white [a black version is available] and sadly it doesn’t vape very well at all – with muted flavour and not a lot of vapour going on.

I get why they brought this one out – it is compact and extremely cheap to purchase – but as we head into 2018 this feels more like it belongs on the market from 3 or 4 years ago…sorry – like I said I usually love your kits!

What I Don’t Like

The spit back is very bad using both a 50-50 VG PG and a 70-30.

Can’t say I’m enamored with the design either – it really does feel like you’re sucking on a pregnancy kit.

Airy it isn’t the draw is far far too restricted even for me who regularly MTL vapes – and whilst you might expect the tighter draw to increase the intensity of the flavour – it really doesn’t.

Sadly not a lot to recommend about this one.

Final Review Verdict

It has the look and feel of a pod mod about it however the battery capacity is nowhere near as powerful as even some of the worst pod mods out there.

Therefore without that bit of umph the vape is weak to say the least.

I had a quick look at the customer reviews and they seem strangely split with fan-boys and those agreeing with me – so like most things taste is subjective!

At under $20 it’s certainly not going to hurt your wallet – but if you bought this trying to get off the cancer sticks it might have you reaching for your Marlboro after a few puffs which sadly says it all.

The VaporFi Rebel 3 is the latest sub ohm pen style kit from the company and obviously an upgrade from the previous version.

I haven’t had the pleasure of using any of the other Rebel kits so can’t compare them.

This is marketed as a vaping ‘starter kit’ though I’d add sub ohm to that description given it’s pumping out 70watts when fully charged using the supplied 0.25 ohm coil – more thoughts on that later.

I seem to say simplicity is the key feature a lot these days and once again that’s the case!

This is about as simple as you can get when it comes to sub ohm devices.

Incidentally Vaporfi are marketing this as a ‘starter kit’ but this is definitely a sub ohm starter kit – more on that later.

OK the tank is a bottom fill – which means you’ll need to take it off the battery turn it upside down and fill from the bottom – once you remove the base obviously!

The fact it’s a 5.8ml tank is excellent – and if you’re shipping it into Europe be careful that customs don’t take a peek and either confiscate it or charge you a fortune in customs fees – I was that vaper – or should I say Jonny was lol.

Anyway on with the features.

Powerful Battery And Simple To Use

There are two very generous airflow slots on the base of the tank and the two large glass viewing windows allow you to see your juice levels.

The battery is a respectable 3000mAH pumping out between 30 and 70watts and despite using the supplied 0.25ohm coil I was surprised on the battery longevity getting a very decent 5 to 7 hours.

You can indeed vape on this whilst it’s charging [pass through] which on any internal battery device is a big bonus.

There’s a tiny pin prick sized battery LED light that blinks slowly when you’re fully charged and rapidly when it needs to be charged.

The device is a simple 5 clicks on 5 clicks off and click and hold the fire button to vape – easy!

BTW there’s a nice safety feature built in too – if the fire button is held for 10 seconds the device shuts off.

Design and Build Quality

Another VaporFi product and yet another device that is to say the least solidly built!

I don’t have scales but this is on the heavy side and feels solid and comfortable in the hand.

The designers have moved away from elongated pen style and made this fatter and chunkier – bit like me really lol.

The overall effect is actually very pleasing both to the eye [the kit not me] and handling the kit – like I said this is a chunky piece of kit made from a solid chunk of metal!

Design wise I really like it looking like a cross between a box mod and vape pen style and not at all dissimilar to a mech mod.

So how does the VaporFi Rebel 3 vape?

First up a real word of caution!

You REALLY need to prime the supplied coil and leave it sitting for at least 15 minutes – even longer – trust me!

Given there’s only one coil in the box I received – this is important as it seems to take an absolute age to wick – even 3 tanks later whilst I never once received a dry hit – chain vaping on this feels as though it’s about to if you catch my drift.

Those juice ports are tiny!

If you’re new to sub ohm vaping I suggest buying extra coils with your order just in case you burn yours out before the cotton is soaked!

I’m apparently an ‘experienced vaper’ [lol] and came close to ruining the only coil I had to review this kit so be aware!

For the record I was using a 70-30 VG PG mix and found a 50-50 mix [later on] much much better for wicking purposes.

OK flavour off this is just OK with the first few fills – however after the coil has broken in [for me 3 fills] AND after dropping the PG/VG ratio to 50-50 the flavour went up a couple of notches – especially closing the airflow half way.

BTW wide open and you really do get a very muted flavour – tasty but even fully charged my taste buds were ‘reaching for it’.

Vapour production with the generous airflow fully open was very good and even over half closed I was getting a decent lung full and reasonable clouds.

I wouldn’t call this a cloud chucker by any stretch of the imagination – but it certainly holds its own – though definitely not in the same league as the Smok Stick V8 Kit.

All in all if you’re coming into the sub ohm vaping this isn’t a bad little kit to start you off on your journey.

BTW with the airflow almost closed off I got a more than passable mouth to lung vape.

Incidentally there’s also a 0.5ohm coil that can be purchased separately that by closing down the airflow might give a better MTL vape…

What I Like

I really like the chunky design on the Rebel 3 – drop this and you’ll crack the pavement!

Battery life is very good for a sub ohm device and whilst you have to fiddle about with the right e-liquid ratio and airflow the flavour isn’t that bad – not great but not bad.

One positive thing is if you have a 30mm tank or rebuildable then it will sit on the battery perfectly – it’s a big bugger!

It’s definitely ease of use that gets the biggest thumbs up and the pass through vaping option is excellent.

What I Don’t Like

The coil is a bugger to ‘bed in’ and I recommend dropping to a 50:50 VG PG mix unless you’re patient and can wait for a higher ratio to soak in.

I definitely don’t like seeing only one coil in the kit that’s a little bit stingy to say the least and I do recommend buying a spare pack – just in case!

It’s a proprietary drip tip too – slightly bigger than a 510 and smaller than an 810 – though I did find the ULTEM drip tip from my Kaees Solomon fitted with a little help from an O Ring.

The supplied drip tip is OK but a little restrictive for my sub ohm preference – plus we all like our own drip tips right!

Another niggle is the choice of colours – at the time of writing just black and stainless steel – which is keeping it simple I guess but more choices might make this ping out a bit more.

Final Review Verdict

A couple of weeks in and the Vaporfi Rebel 3 is still on my desk and I do reach for it now and then but it certainly hasn’t dazzled me.

The flavour is reasonable as is the vapour and I do like the way it looks.

Wicking can be an issue with higher VG e-liquids – in my case at least and only supplying one coil is a bit stingy!

We’re spoiled for choice these days and to really stand out from the crowd of sub ohm kits you need to be something very special indeed.

Whilst the Rebel 3 is a good solid sub ohm starter kit that’s perfect for beginners to the style – more experienced DTL vapers might find it a little underwhelming.

BTW the battery and tank can both be purchased separately.

The Vaporfi Vaio Mini is from the US based brand well known for their tasty e-liquids and well built, well designed vape kits and devices and it’s fair to say are one of the most popular and reliable vaping brands out there.

The VAIO Mini is the latest in the trio – there’s the VAIO 80w and the VAIO 75w which I reviewed and one I found to be a solid device.

As the name suggests the Mini version is way smaller and a whole lot lighter but with a 1000mAH internal battery it’s no slouch in the power department.

It’s specifically designed as a Mouth To Lung [MTL] device and whilst labelled as a starter kit it’s also aimed at regular MTL vapers looking for either a go to or back up vape kit.

OK I have always been impressed with VaporFi e-liquids and products – so will the VAIO MINI let me down?

This was sent to me for the purpose of this review direct from VaporFi and as always my thoughts and opinions are my own.

Key features

First up the size – this is tiny!

But don’t let that fool you, underneath the small body is a decent 1000mAH battery that packs a punch and lasts all day pumping out a respectable constant 3.7v.

It’s not a pod mod – more an AIO [all in one] with a long atomizer tube attached to the 1.0 ohm MTL coil.

This makes the device very easy to fill and indeed swap out the coils – and it can be done whilst the tank is pretty full.

Filling the device is side on – simply use the sliding button to open up the fill port – don’t forget to close it!

Speaking of the tank VaporFi doesn’t mention the capacity but I’m guessing 2ml – that’s a guess as I don’t have a syringe!

You also get four LED lights letting you know the state of the internal battery – which really is fast charging and lasted me a good 8 hours.

Design and Build Quality

OK this is designed rather well with a nifty slide up and down juice fill switch with the overall look similar to the Joyetech CuBox AIO and the Eleaf iCare 2.

It’s also tiny and light as a feather so perfect for your pocket – purse – bag or to leave in your office desk or car.

The body has that kind of heat resistant rubberized silicone feel to it and feels good in the hand.

As you’d expect from VaporFi all the moving parts – the mouthpiece – atomizer tube – coil and the juice fill slide up switch are well made and move- come together and apart well.

Overall it’s a dinky stealthy little device with a good range of colours: black – purple – red – blue and pink.

How Does the Vaporfi VAIO MINI Perform?

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much when I first unboxed it – however I was more than a little pleasantly surprised after a few puffs.

Whilst it’s not the hardest hitting MTL device I’ve ever used – and I’ve used a lot – it’s certainly not a shrinking violet – this little cutie has a kick to it!

Flavour wise I was extremely impressed with my go to tobacco e-liquid tasting as I expected – not as deep and rich as say a purpose built MTL tank – but very good as a go to back up.

Vapour wise and again with my 50:50 PG/VG e-liquid the amount I was getting certainly raised my eyebrows – whilst obviously you couldn’t call this a cloud chucker it still manages more than a mist to say the least!

As I’ve already stated I was able to charge this in just over an hour or so and managed a full 8 hours vaping – no complaints there.

Two weeks in and I’m still using the same coil with little if any drop in flavour.

So all in all a cracking little kit – simple enough for absolute beginners and those of us who need a backup compact MTL device.

What I Like

Simplicity is the key here – this is an absolute doddle to use with no bells or whistles to worry about – just fill up and vape.

I do like the side filling feature too – simply slide the button down to open and up to close – easy!

Despite having largish hands [OK a bit girly lol] and despite the VAIO MINI being on the small side – I do like its compactness slipping nicely into my pocket.

I can’t complain about charge time or battery capacity either – full marks on both of those!

BTW and despite being a ‘leaky old fellah’ I haven’t had one leak as yet – bonus!

So yeah this a super little starter /backup kit at a price that’s extremely reasonable too.

What I Don’t Like

Had to think long and hard about this – I can’t find any faults per se’ but maybe one suggestion on the next one if VaporFi bring out an update.

And that is add a little extra mAH with the option of a lower resistance coil for the DTL vapers – I’m not the most technical bloke out there but I do think that option would work!

Otherwise I can’t fault it – it is what it is a solid starter kit perfect for MTL vaping and definitely one for beginners to consider.

Final Review Verdict

I think you can tell I’m impressed by the VAIO Mini – and rightly so.

It’s compact – stealthy – packs a nice punch – delivers good flavour and impressive clouds.

When I say ‘packs a nice punch’ I’m using a 50:50 PG/VG high nic e-liquid and the throat hit is right up there with some of the MTL tanks I use.

For such a little guy that’s remarkable and just what any brand new vaper will be looking for.

So would I buy the Vaporfi Vaio Mini if I lost or damaged it?

At the price and knowing the performance – most definitely!

VaporFi and the very cool boxes their five new e-liquid’s come in.

Relax – this isn’t one of Ecigclick’s vape awards that you forgot to vote in – just my humble opinion after opening up my vape mail recently!

I’ve been lucky enough to taste a few VaporFi e liquid flavours over the years (Check out my Vaporfi Grand Reserve review here) and haven’t found one I haven’t liked yet – so are the latest offerings as good as they look?

UPDATE: VaporFi has very kindly sent me three flavours that were missing from the original review and these are the first you’ll see – BTW VaporFi has bought these out in 60ml bottles with snazzy new packaging.

There’s also 3 BRAND NEW flavours not in the VaporFi RSRV collection – Joosy Licious – Key Lime Cookie and Fried Apple Pie.

It seems VaporFi sent two of the key lime cookies rather than a fried apple [as stated on the packing note] lol – the review for these is at the end!

Let’s put them through the taste test.

All the juices I tested were 3mg nicotine [other levels are available] – Acetyl Propionyl-Free / Diacetyl-Free – in 30ml bottles [60mls are available]and classed as ‘Max VG.’

I used a separate coil for each flavour on both the Innokin Slipstream Tank and Aspire Atlantis Evo.

Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Crafted by Cosmic Fog

Vaporfi say:

This vape juice throws it back with a juicy strawberry front note resting upon a delicate bed of cool ice cream.

I say:

The blending here is almost perfect – particularly the creamy ice cream which is not too sweet and not overpoweringly vanilla.

The strawberry is ripe and fresh and that biscuit/cookie/cake taste is divine.

This is an e-liquid made for an all-day vape and the clouds as you might expect from Cosmic Fog are awesome.

Bites Vanilla Caramel Swirl

Vaporfi say:

I Say:

Looking just like a tub of cinema treats the smell coming from this e-liquid was extremely strong.

I have a sweet tooth but this left my mouth crying out for water – it is extremely thick and sweet!

Somewhere in there after half a tank of vaping my taste-buds began to adjust and I could pick out a hint of toffee [caramel] and ice cream – but blimey did I need plenty of water to wash away the sweetness – talk about sugar lips I’m licking them now just thinking about it!

One for the real and I mean real sweet treat lovers.

Raspberry Mocha Vape Juice

Vaporfi say:

Just wanting a plain and simple ‘cup of Joe’ seems to be ‘uncool’ with them eventually giving up and mumbling something about an Americano.

However from now on I shall join the hip set and be asking for a Raspberry Mocha because if it tastes anything like this e-liquid I shall be ordering it by the gallon!

A pleasingly strong coffee taste with the merest hint of chocolate before the sweet tartness of the fruit clears the palate – absolutely delicious!

Very Berry Slushie Vape Juice

Grandma’s Dutch Apple Pie Crafted by Cosmic Fog

OK as I’ve already stated by accident I didn’t receive the Fried Apple Pie – though I have to say it does sound an interesting one!

These juices come in wonderful 100ml bottles – makes a real change from the 10mls – though do be careful if ordering from outside the US – unless of course you opt for zero nicotine.

If you’re a fruit fan I highly recommend this one – very refreshing – extremely fruity and available in 100ml bottles in various nic strengths – what’s not to like a great all day vape!

VaporFi Key Lime Cookie

Final Review Verdict

I shall call the latest e-liquids from VaporFi ‘The Fab Five Seven’ because these truly are premium e-liquids that taste amazing – vape like a dream and are so moreish it’s untrue.

As you might expect the collaboration with Cosmic Fog has produced two sensational cloud chasing and great tasting juices – but VaporFi’s e liquids certainly hold their own and then some.

The packaging is fun with the Mocha and Slushie coming in re-usable ‘cups’ – and pricewise they are superb value.

Note: Due to UK laws (Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1989) if buying from a UK based store it’s likely that you will receive just the bottle and not the outer packaging. Yep.. I know… More crazy regs

The Vaporfi Orbit is a dry herb vaporizer that as the name suggests is likely to send the user into a ‘spacey state’ depending of course on what you put in it.

If the use of certain dry herb offends you or more importantly is illegal in your country or state – then obviously this review is not for you and most importantly neither are we promoting its use.

However, and given many parts of the world are relaxing their attitudes towards Mary Jane and in some cases legalizing its use and given these vaporizers exist – it naturally follows as a vaping website we’d take a look.

This is the second VaporFi dry herb vaporizer I’ve used – the first being the Vaporfi Atom – and I have to say off the bat this is definitely my favourite of the two.

So what is it about the Orbit that’s made me a very happy dude?

And for those who read my last dry herb vaporizer review I’m sure you want to know if I had yet another deep and meaningful conversation with my imaginary hamster?

Let’s take a closer look.

VaporFi Orbit Quick Start Guide

For obvious reasons everything is kept refreshingly simple:

• Snap off mouthpiece to reveal heating chamber
• Fill with loosely packed ‘herb’ of your choice and attach mouthpiece
• Hit fire button x5 quickly to turn device on and it begins heating
• To change baking temp:
• Mid heat – wait 90 seconds until light turns red = 360F
• High heat – wait 120 seconds until light turns blue = 420F [I see what they did there lol]
• Take slow steady puffs [no need to press anything!]

Key Features

The obvious thing here is just how easy this dry herb vaporizer is to use.

It’s a simple matter of filling up the oven – turning it on and waiting – the length of time you wait depends on the temp you bake your herb!

The Orbit can handle temps of 360F and 420F taking about 2 minutes to fully warm up.

There’s no worries about leaving it on if your mind wanders either as after 10 minutes the device switches off automatically.

It can be charged via the USB port or by buying a separate wall charger and charge up to time is fast and given this is a 2200mAH internal battery you will get plenty of use out of it between charging.

Design and Build Quality

As I keep saying VaporFi’s devices are built extremely well and the Orbit dry herb vaporizer is no different.

The device comes in red or black which is the one I received and it’s very well put together.

Design wise it looks great is extremely light and fits nicely in the hand.

The oven is deep and roomy and if things get a little too warm there’s a couple of extra silicone mouthpiece covers to dissipate the heat – or to offer to your friend if you’re sharing a bowl.

The device has that lovely rubbery feel to it with a bright LED light and a very clicky and smart looking fire button.

There’s the VaporFi logo on the front whilst on the rear if a really nice cut-out pattern.

I have to say and despite this one being slightly cheaper than the Atom – I do prefer the overall look and feel of the Orbit.

So I like the looks – but how does it bake ‘n vape?

How Does The VaporFi Orbit Perform?

Using my preferred ‘filling’ I used the grinder leaving a consistency similar to the herbs you find in supermarket pots.

I packed ‘loosely’ in other words and as Mr Marley would say you don’t want to be jamming it in just let all fill naturally to allow the air to circulate giving a nice even bake.

There’s more of a baking smell coming from this one compared to the Atom which was very pleasant.

However, at the lower temp the taste was extremely muted – good but not earthy or deep enough for me.

Unlike the Atom the Orbit gives off a little more vapor too which was a nice surprise.

However, on the highest temp the flavor was absolutely wonderful warm – rich – earthy and a really crisp yet smooth vape too.

On a full oven I was able to vape for a good twenty minutes before things started to both cool down considerably and the flavor began to dim.

This doesn’t necessarily mean you need to empty your bowl/oven because I was able to reheat a couple of times before I knew it was time to re-fill – you can be the judge on when it’s time for a fresh load

Compared to the slightly more expensive Atom I have to say I do prefer the vape off this one – though that could be down to the freshness of the ‘filling’.

For fun I did try the same strain in the Atom the following evening but still felt the Orbit gave a better overall experience.

How To Clean the Orbit

VaporFi recommends changing the filter after 5 uses – there’s x5 in the kit and others can be bought separately.

It’s a good idea to clean the device out after each use too and there’s a handy little brush included – which if used upside down makes a decent packing tool too.

As to my imaginary hamster paying a visit for a chat – sadly he was nowhere to be seen.

However the pigeon that landed on my windowsill was – and I’m convinced about this – trying his hardest to impart some kind of deep – meaningful spiritual wisdom.

Sadly I was too spaced out to understand and just sat there giggling like a school kid wondering why his feathers shone like a rainbow…

He showed his disgust BTW by leaving a rather large deposit on said windowsill which made me laugh even more.

What I Like

It has to be a mix of both looks and ease of use with this little ganja gizmo – it’s about as simple as it gets to both fill and operate.

Given the Atom’s oven is in the base and it’s a longer device whilst the Orbit is shorter with the oven next to the mouthpiece it makes sense to me I’m getting a much richer flavor off this one.

And like I said of the two the Orbit wins on the design and looks and it feels great to hold with that grippy rubberized finish really useful if you find things – such as your reality – ‘slipping’.

What I Don’t Like

Not a lot – but at a push I’d said there’s only two baking temperatures – medium and high.

Given this is slightly cheaper than the larger Atom I can understand why so it’s not really a negative as I really enjoyed toking without smoking on this!

Final Review Verdict

I absolutely love the Vaporfi Orbit vaporizer and yeah it’s perfect for those of us who like a certain type of dry herb occasionally.

It’s stylish – compact and very simple to use and is the perfect choice for a first time dry herb vaporizer user.

It kicks out 1000mAH and comes with 2.0ohm coils so as I go into later it really is the gentlest of introductions to vaping.

How To Fill the Vaporfi Pro 3 Tank

• Unscrew the top cap
• Squirt juice against the side of the tank – avoid central chimney
• Leave for a few minutes for coil to soak up – vape!

How To Change the VaporFi Pro 3 Coil

When you first open the box you will need to prime your coil – this means drizzling no more than 5 drips of e-liquid into the centre of the atomizer.

Whilst it’s important to prime all the coils you’ll use in any tank – it is an absolute imperative you do it with the Pro 3.

It’s a very very long coil and there’s a lot of cotton in there and it will take time to soak in – after priming and half filling the tank it was almost empty by the time it had all soaked in!

OK first up to get at the coil you’ll need to remove the tank from the battery.

• Turn upside down and unscrew the bottom cap
• Grab the coil by the bottom pin and remove and prime as shown above
• Slot the coil back, lining up between the two posts
• Screw on the bottom cap and put back on the battery
• Vape!

The coil can be swapped out with e-liquid still in the tank

Key Features

Not a whole lot to talk about here as this really is as simple as vaping starter kits get – so absolutely ideal for a gentle introduction to vaping and getting off those cigarettes – more on that later.

It’s as easy as it gets to both fill the tank and swap out the coil with no need to lose any e-liquid.

Five clicks on and off and press fire to vape so it’s an absolute cinch to operate.

Charging time is super-fast and you can still vape whilst it’s charging – technical term is ‘pass through vaping’ – so perfect if you’re at your desk.

Safety features include auto shut down if fire button is pressed 7 times – short circuit protection – over discharge protection – low voltage warning and overheat protection.

I like as well the battery shuts off if the fire button is held down for 7 seconds – no chance of this going off in your bag or pocket.

And it comes in a variety of colours – I received the blue.

Choose from: black – pink – red – purple – green – silver – teal.

All colours can be mixed and matched which is a nice touch.

Design and Build Quality

Look this isn’t the best made device VaporFi has in its stable – it is what it is an easy as you like starter kit.

That’s not to say it’s cheaply made – far from it – the threads are all good and everything fits together well and it feels robust.

Design wise it looks good and is certainly compact enough for your pockets and bags and feels light but solid in your hand.

How Does the VaporFi Pro 3 Kit Perform?

I said earlier this is the perfect ‘gentle’ introduction to vaping – I say gentle because the coils are 2.0 ohms and given the battery is just 1000mAH are almost getting the exact same sensation as you would smoking a cancer stick.

Obviously this will depend on the strength of nicotine in your e-liquid but as I’m a bit old school with MTL [mouth to lung ] vaping – I vape 18mg nic in the mornings and I was getting that satisfying throat hit.

Flavour wise I was impressed and I used both a 50-50 VG PG mix and a 70-30 and the coil wicked well with both so no need to worry about having to exclusively use thinner e-liquids as it seems to cope with the thicker ones.

Vapour wise and for a 2.0 ohm coil it wasn’t that bad – look this isn’t a sub-ohm tank so you ain’t gonna win no cloud chucking competitions.

The Pro 3 is back to the vaping basics – you know giving up cigarettes!

Charging was very good going from flat to fully charged in just short of an hour and I was able to vape on this for 8 hours – two mornings running – without the need to re-charge so it’s ideal to take out and about.

I reckon this is an ideal kit to use to quit the cigs and it would be a great gift to someone you want to encourage to pack up those stinkies.

What I Like

It’s a no fuss no frills vape device that’s easy to use and gives decent flavour.

You’ll get a days work out of the battery and of course it charges quick and can be vaped whilst charging.

As for coil life – I have had this for 2 weeks and have used it every morning for a couple of hours and it’s still tastes fresh so no worries there!

I like the choice of colours too though the blue one I received is more of Royal Blue which I don’t think does the device justice – but hey colour preference aside it’s a great little starter kit.

BTW you can mix and match the colours of the tank and battery – so make sure when you’re buying the kit you chose the colour of the tank and then the colour of the battery that you want !

What I Don’t Like

Apart from the colour I received – I don’t like the stainless steel drip-tip but I’m on record saying that every time lol.

Some starter kits I’ve reviewed recently come with a delrin or plastic option and it would have been nice if VaporFi had popped one in the box – however they do sell them separate so a good marketing ploy!

And maybe another coil option – a 1.05 or 1.0 ohm coil would be a good move just to give a choice of what hit you’re gonna be getting.

Obviously this would affect the battery life a little – but I still think it would be a good move by VaporFi.

Final Review Verdict

The Vaporfi Pro 3 is what is is – a very basic vaping starter kit that may help smokers get off that horrible and deadly habit.

So to that end I can’t and won’t knock it – it’s a nice little device.

It’s simple to fill and swap coils is packed with safety features and gives a decent – not great – but decent flavour profile.

It’s in the same league as the JacVapour Series S [the new versions] – the 1000mAH Innokin Endura T20 and to some extent the Aspire K2 kit – all great little set-ups that hopefully will get folks off the filthy deadly smoking habit.

So don’t expect to win any cloud competitions – treat this as exactly what it is and you’ll be good to go.

This is basically a little oven inside a vape device and obviously designed for use only with dry herbs – oregano – basil – marjoram – whatever floats your boat.

Personally I used it with a little bag of herb from ‘Dodgy Dave’ who floats around our local pub with a permanent dreamy look on his face – but the choice of what you use is yours.

Vaporfi Atom Quick Start Guide

For obvious reasons dry herb atomizers need to be kept as simple as possible.

Or as I like to put it: K I S S = Keep It Simple Stoner.

In other words if you’re enjoying a particularly good strain of dry herb your mind tends to wander so having to press a ton of buttons whilst staring vacantly at a screen to take a toke just ain’t gonna work dude.

OK VaporFi has kept is extremely simple:

• Remove the base which is held on by magnets.
• After grinding your dry herb fill the oven chamber – don’t pack too tight which I’ll go into later
• Close the chamber
• One click turns the atomizer on and off
• Select baking temp by holding fire button for two seconds then hitting the fire button to lock that temp in – it’s all colours man – all colours.
• The LED lights up showing these temps:
• Purple Light: Heating
• Blue Light: 360°F
• Yellow Light: 410°F
• Red Light: 464°F
• White Light: Prepared for Use
• Green Light – vape that herb!

Key Features

Apart from the range of baking temperatures there are a couple of nifty features on the Atom vaporizer.

The Motion Sensing Technology is a fancy name for shaking it baby.

Shaking the device lights up the LED screen and the colour tells you how much juice is left in your battery with:

• Green: Full Battery
• Yellow: Partial Battery
• Red: Low Battery

Given this is a huge 3000mAH battery and maxing out at a lowly 15 watts you are going to get a ton of use out of this between charges [via the USB port].

I’ve used this pretty much every evening [I know I know lol] for two weeks and its only just hit yellow – charging took a little over an hour from an almost dead battery.

It’s a slim pocket and bag friendly device and light as a feather.

VaporFi do sell extra tools including the mouthpiece.

And the safety features again need to be first class and after 30 seconds the device will switch off automatically – useful lol – there’s also circuit – over voltage and overload protection.

Design and Build Quality

As we’ve come to expect from VaporFi devices the build quality on the Atom Dry Herb Vaporizer is first rate.

The oven door is kind of hinged so press one end and it pops out and the magnets are strong enough.

Design wise it looks OK if a little dare I say plain and functional – I did receive the black version so that might be why I think that.

It also comes in rose gold – silver and gold.

Look it’s not going to win any design competitions but it does what it’s supposed to do!

How Does the VaporFi Atom Perform?

OK first up the packing of the dry herb.

First up you don’t need to grind your herb into almost dust indeed I found a much better experience and flavour by keeping it around the same consistency as oregano in those herb pots you get from the supermarket – pun intended.

Secondly it’s an extremely big oven chamber so there’s no need to cram tons in – just let it fill up naturally without stuffing as much in as you can – I tried that way and cooking was very uneven.

The vape on this is tight – very tight – tighter than some MTL [mouth to lung] tanks.

You will instinctively puff on it like a pipe – particularly as the vapour is pretty none existent – like me it make take a little while to get used to that.

What I mean is I instinctively looked for the throat hit and vapour you would get from a rolled cigarette – it’s just not there.

And trust me I puffed away merrily half a dozen times before realizing I was indeed getting a ‘hit’ – the words pink elephants come to mind when I realized lol.

Incidentally a word about the aroma – anyone who’s smoked certain dry herb will know the smell gets everywhere.

With the Atom I found I get a muted but pleasant smell whilst it’s baking however when vaping whilst the aroma was there it certainly wasn’t as pungent as you would normally get.

If you are worried about the smell then do what us old ‘uns do and light a jostick – patchouli is good

OK let’s take a look at the different temperatures:

• 360°F: good vape flavour was reasonable not much vapour
• 410°F: great vapour and superb flavour warmer vape barely any clouds
• 464°F: superb vape intense flavour barely any clouds and just perfect temperature wise

I guess it’s the same as how people prefer to vape juice on coils – it’s a personal thing.

For me all three temps were good – but for pure intense flavour the higher setting hit the spot dude – I mean really hit that spot!

What I really liked about the vape on this was after about a dozen deep draws rather than a sense of burning taste I could just tell the flavour was dropping – I kept on for another half a dozen draws and instinctively knew when it was time to empty and re-pack.

In other words I reckon a full oven will give you – depending on how strong you rolled – at least 2 of the old 3 Rizla.

However I didn’t use any tobacco whatsoever and as you can imagine its potent stuff without anything calming it down.

So unless you’re used to taking it ‘raw’ and like me you don’t want to add tobacco – then take it easy tiger – not sure what I had but I did find myself talking to a hamster at one point [I don’t own a hamster].

All in all the Atom is all good man…all good.

What I Like

Obviously the simplicity of the device – you don’t need bells and whistles when you are vaping dry herb.

It’s a good sized oven and if packed right it cooks or should I say bakes evenly giving off a great flavour.

It’s light and extremely pocket and bag friendly.

What I Don’t Like

I have to be honest and say I don’t like the mouthpiece at all.

There are two versions – a straight and curved – the latter is the one I received and VaporFi say this is the restrictive version or a much tighter draw than the straight one.

My box says I should have had the straight one – however I have the curved version.

I like an airy vape so I would most definitely have opted for the straight version because trust me the curved mouthpiece is for me bordering on the too tight.

Final Review Verdict

This is the first dry herb vaporizer I’ve used so I don’t have any comparisons – I have another to review soon.

What I can say it’s simple to use – solidly built – a generous oven and the battery lasts forever.

Once I got used to the lack of a throat hit [again could be down to my mouthpiece] and barely any vapour I soon got to love it.

The flavour was superb and the lack of burning means you are getting all the goodies without the baddies.

So yeah dude – it’s all good…all good.

So if I was vaping away listening to a bit of Pink Floyd and this device was stolen by my none existent hamster would I replace it?

Totally and I mean totally dude and quicker than you can count to 420
