So, Dojo Vape are actually the brains behind the Blast kits, with Vaporesso providing their manufacturing and industry expertise to help power the devices.

Well effectively, these are a slimmed down and much more pocket friendly version of the larger Dojo Blast 6000 kits!

Design & Build Quality

Well, I was instantly familiar with the design of this device. It is a cylindrical pen shaped kit in the same shape as a lot of popular disposables on the market!

Measurements wise, the Dojo Blast2000 Go measures 114.5mm x 18mm x 18mm, so it is a fairly slender and sleek bit of kit.

The pod and refill container are both pre-filled with 2ml of e-liquid, giving you 4ml in total, so double what you would get from a disposable. There’s a duck-billed style mouthpiece on the pod, which sits quite nicely on my lips and doesn’t get uncomfortably hot during use.

In terms of the build quality, there’s nothing too fancy here! If you are used to disposables then you will know what to expect with this device!

Quick Start Guide

There’s a really simple set-up process here which I love to see.

Firstly, locate the Red silicone plug inside the device and remove it. Then push the pre-filled pod into the device, and you are good to go!

An auto-draw system is used so you only need to take a puff on the device to get it to fire.

Once you’ve used up the 4ml worth of e-liquid that you get in total, dispose of the pod and refill container. You can actually replace these with new ones which are sold separately.

On the base of the device is a small LED light, which lights up when you take a puff and blinks when it is time to recharge. Below the LED light is the USB-C charging port.

Charging

To charge the Dojo Blast2000 Go device, plug a USB-C cable into the USB-C charging port and ensure that you are connected to a suitable power source.

Charging current is rated at 0.5A, which isn’t the quickest. It has taken me around an hour to fully charge my device up from a flat battery.

Flavours

In total, there are 15 different flavours available: Apple Peach, Blue Razz Lemonade, Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Fizzy Cherry, Kiwi Passionfruit Guava, Lemon Lime, Menthol, Pineapple Ice, Pineapple Sunrise, Pink Lemonade, Raspberry Lime, Strawberry Kiwi, Straw-Rasp Cherry Ice, Triple Mango and Watermelon Ice.

We are looking at three from the range in this review and here are my thoughts on them!

Raspberry Key Lime

Firstly, I pick up on a really strong note of authentic tasting Key Lime flavouring with this blend, very sharp and tart and bursting with authentic flavour.

Raspberry takes more of a back seat to the Key Lime flavouring, which I really don’t mind as the Key Lime is so tasty!

There is a slight cooling sensation present too which I detected at the back of my throat, quite a nice little touch I thought.

I wasn’t expecting the Key Lime flavouring to be so dominant here. I thought it would have been more of an undertone to the raspberry, but how wrong I was!

Apple Peach

Well, I didn’t get that much time to spend with this one before my wife got a sniff of it and spirited it away for her own, uh ‘testing’! I can safely say she was a pretty big fan of this!

Apple is the first flavour that I pick up on and it’s a really crisp and clear apple flavouring, that reminded me of apple juice.

Peach adds a thick juicy texture to the combination and leaves a very sweet taste on my tongue afterwards.

These two flavours combine really well together and have been blended superbly.

Pineapple Orange

I was quite surprised here. I’ve tried a few pineapple and orange combinations in my time and it’s usually the pineapple flavouring that is the more noticeable one.

Not so here, as the orange was the more dominant flavour for me, it’s quite a fresh orange juice styled flavour that becomes quite sharp and a little sour towards the end.

The pineapple flavouring compliments the orange nicely, adding emphasis to the sour notes that I picked up on and quite a syrupy sweet undertone.

This one was my favourite out of the three that I got to try out!

How Does The Dojo Blast2000 Go Perform?

This kit has a fixed airflow and fixed power output, providing a mouth to lung (MTL) vape.

I quite liked the consistency of the vape here. It seemed to stay consistent from a fully charged battery to a flat one, with no detectable variance in power output or flavour.

In terms of battery life, this wouldn’t quite last me through the day, as I do tend to vape quite heavily.

I would start puffing away around 8am and I found that the battery would die off and need charging around 6pm. If I was at work, where I don’t get much of a chance to vape, then it would easily last me through the day.

How Many Puffs Do You Get With A Dojo Blast2000 Go?

As per the name, you can get ‘up to’ 2000 puffs from one Dojo Blast2000 go, with these having a pre-filled 2ml pod and a 2ml refill container.

Puff counts provided by manufacturers are usually obtained in laboratory settings using puffs of one second or under, or in some instances the puff count is just plucked out of thin air.

I like to take quite long and deep inhales on devices like this one, lasting around 3-4 seconds on average, which will reduce my puff count. Your own vaping style will affect how many puffs you get from this kit.

When using the Pineapple Orange kit, I got 524 puffs but I was detecting a burnt taste before I reached that. At 524 puffs it was un-vapeable. There was still e-liquid present though, so I would imagine that if the cotton hadn’t started tasting burnt I would have got more.

With the Raspberry Key Lime, my suspicions were correct, as I managed to vape this one until empty. I got more puffs here, with a total puff count of 696.

Pros

Final Verdict

If you’ve read my previous review on the Dojo Blast 6000 kits, you’ll know I was a pretty big fan of the delicious flavours that I got to try out from that range.

I’m pleased to say that the flavour quality here is pretty spot on as well, I enjoyed some great tasting flavours in a much smaller package.

That is ideal if, like me, you can get bored of flavours reasonably quickly and don’t fancy splashing out on one device that offers thousands upon thousands of puffs of the same flavour.

Plus, these are available in the UK for just under £6 from most of the retailers that I checked out online!

That is very good value for money and puts these kits in the same price range as a disposable vape. But you get more puffs for your money here and the ability to reuse the device too.

What Can We Expect From The Vaporesso Armour G DTL Version?

The Armour G is Vaporesso’s latest high powered ‘pod mod’. It is able to output up to a massive 80W (with variable wattage adjustment) and includes a 3000mAh battery built into the device to keep you vaping all day!

It is smaller than a lot of similar devices on the market. Vaporesso states that the Armour G is around 30% smaller than other kits that have a similar specification.

But don’t let its small size fool you, as Vaporesso are packing plenty into the Armour G!

One of the latest AXON chips powers the Armour G, with an upgraded Neo Pulse mode. This is designed to offer a stable and consistent vaping output from 100% battery right down to 10%. When paired with the COREX technology found in the GTX mesh coils you will get explosive flavour from the first puff right through to the last!

Vaporesso’s excellent GTX coil range is compatible with the Armour G. These coils are compatible with many other Vaporesso kits and feature a mesh coil design and COREX flavour technology for a best-in-class vaping experience. There’s a wide range of different resistances available, catering to every type of vaper.

A built-in battery is found within the Armour G, which Vaporesso have equipped with their patented ‘Mega Batt’ cell technology. Vaporesso Armour GS Device

There’s also an Armour GS device that Vaporesso are releasing together with the Armour G and they also kindly sent over to us.

The spec is virtually identical to the Armour G, however it takes an 18650 battery instead of having a built-in one. As a result, it is slightly larger with dimensions of 126mm x 39mm x 38mm. It comes with 0.15ohm and 0.3ohm GTX mesh coils instead of the 0.4ohm and 0.2ohm coils found in the standard Armour G.

Specific to the French and German markets, there is also an Armour G MTL version that comes with a 5ml pod, 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm GTX Mesh coils and two drip tip options, with DTL and MTL drip tips included.

Design & Build Quality

One of the most startling aspects of this device is that for such a powerful device, this really is a diddly little thing! It measures only 113mm x 38mm x 28mm and given that it can output up to 80W, it definitely punches above its size!

This device is a perfect size for the palm of my hand. Iit uses materials usually found with car seats, making it not only stylish in appearance but also comfortable to hold as well.

I received the Blue kit for review. The Armour G will also be available in Black, Brown, Green, Pink, Red and Silver versions. The Armour GS is available in the same colours – apart from Red?

On the front of the device is where you will find the power button, power output adjustment buttons, locking switch and USB-C charging port. All of these options are located around the large 0.96” TFT screen.

The TFT screen is a real highlight of this device. It displays information such as wattage output, battery life, coil resistance, output mode and a puff count. Plus you can customise the display by choosing from three different themes. At either side of the screen are some cool-looking LED lights which light up as you vape.

Completing the Armour G kit is the Armour G Series DTL pod. It has a 2ml capacity for the TPD version and a 5ml capacity for the non-TPD version. This connects magnetically to the Armour G device, making installation and removal easy.

You can see the e-liquid capacity inside the pod, making it easy to know when it is time to refill. Refilling is easy too, with a leak-proof top filling system – there is no need to remove the pod in order to refill it.

On top of the Armour G Series DTL pod is a top airflow system, featuring two airflow slots and four levels of precise airflow adjustment. The drip tip sits on top of this which you can remove and insert your own drip tip if you so wish.

Overall, I felt that this device looks stylish, feels super comfortable in the hand and the build quality is virtually faultless too.

Quick Start Guide

Filling The Pod

• Open the silicon port filling cover and push it to the side slightly.
• Insert your bottle nozzle into the filling port and fill the pod up. Take care not to overfill this if you have the 2ml capacity version. Which from experience, can be easily done if you aren’t paying attention!

Replacing The Coil

The 0.2ohm GTX coil comes pre-installed in the Armour G Series DTL pod.

• Remove the pod from the device and pull the coil out from the bottom.
• Insert the new coil into the bottom of the pod.
• Fill the pod as described above and replace it on the device.

If you are using a fresh GTX coil, it’s worth priming the coil. This is done by dripping a couple of drops of e-liquid directly onto the coil, then leaving it for five minutes before vaping it to allow e-liquid to saturate the cotton in the coil. This will ensure that the chance of dry / burnt tasting hits is reduced.

Operation

• ON / OFF – Five clicks of the power button will turn on the Armour G device and clicking the power button five times again will turn it off.
• Fire – Push down on the power button to fire and vape on the device.

The AXON chip will smartly detect the resistance of the coil and select the power output accordingly but you can still adjust this to your liking with the power adjustment buttons. You also have the ability to turn off smart mode if you would like to totally control the output yourself.

Above the power adjustment buttons is a locking switch, which allows you to lock the device when not in use simply by sliding the switch.

Menu Options

To access the menu, click the power button three times and you’ll be presented with a range of different options:

• “Pulse” allows you to turn pulse mode on or off. Pulse mode is designed to deliver an optimal and consistent vaping experience with a constant voltage output. But this will cause extra drain on the battery.
• “Eco” is economy mode, which turns off pulse mode and extends the battery life of the device.
• “Watt” lock is wattage lock, allowing you to lock the selected wattage output in place, so you won’t be able to use the adjustment buttons to change it, but you will still be able to press the power button to fire the device.
• Themes allow you to choose between the three different themes for the screen, with ‘General’, ‘Race Car’ and ‘Rim’ options.
• Settings allow you to turn smart wattage output on or off. Also you can check five days’ worth of data for the puff counter and/or reset the puff counter. Here is where you can change the brightness level of the device and turn the animated themes on or off.

There’s also six different safety protections built in, with USB input protection, low battery protection, no-load protection, short-circuit protection, 10 second vaping overtime protection and overheating protection.

Charging

As with pretty much all devices on the market today, the Vaporesso Armour G charges via USB-C. A USB-C charging cable is included with the kit.

However, this does set itself apart from many other devices due to the speed in which it charges. You get DC 5V/2A fast charging here, so the 3000mAh built-in battery charges up very quickly indeed.

When the Armour G is on charge, the screen not only shows the battery percentage but it also tells you how long it will take until it hits 100%, which I find very useful indeed!

How does the Vaporesso Armour G perform?

Included with the kit are 0.2ohm and a 0.4ohm GTX mesh coils, making this very much aimed at people who prefer an airier vape. But this is compatible with the full GTX coil suite, which also features 0.15ohm, 0.3ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm coils.

So, there is something there for all types of vaper, whether you prefer a tight, cigarette-like mouth-to-lung hit or a less restricted one for plenty of vapour.

0.2ohm GTX Mesh Coil

The 0.2ohm GTX mesh coil comes pre-installed with the kit and has a recommended wattage range of 45-60W. Though I had no problem pushing this up to 65-70W.

I did find that 60W was the sweet spot for me, and I have to say that the flavour was truly fantastic. I was picking up on all the flavour notes with each and every puff, which was consistent all the way through. Vapour production was pretty phenomenal too!

This delivers a pretty warm vape as well, which is just how I like to experience my favoured high VG dessert vapes! Now, I will say that this is a very thirsty coil, this gets through the 2ml pod capacity in no time at all, necessitating multiple refills throughout the day. I would have no issue getting through 10-20ml of e-liquid per day!

0.4ohm GTX Mesh Coil

The 0.4ohm coil is recommended for use at a lower wattage range. With 26-32W recommended, I found that 30W was my sweet spot here. This delivers a flavoursome vape, but is cooler than the 0.2ohm coil.

This coil was much better suited to some of my higher strength nicotine salt e-liquids, though vaping 20mg in this for a protracted amount of time would definitely make my head get a bit fuzzy! It is more discrete than the 0.2ohm coil too, with less vapour production.

I found the 0.4ohm coil was far more economical on my e-liquid than the 0.2ohm coil was, I would only refill this one once or twice per day.

Vaporesso Armour GS

I was also able to try out the Vaporesso Armour GS, which takes a single 18650 battery and comes with 0.15ohm and 0.3ohm GTX mesh coils.

These are absolutely perfect for the cloud chasers out there, with both of them delivering some huge clouds! The 0.15ohm coil is recommended for use in the 60-75W range and the 0.3ohm coil is recommended for use in the 32-45W range.

In terms of performance, the 0.15ohm coil is very similar to the 0.2ohm one, but even thirstier and warmer! This is the coil you want to use if you want to get the most out of the wattage output from your Armour G or GS.

The 0.3ohm coil was virtually identical in performance to the 0.4ohm one, it just has a slightly warmer vape but the flavour was pretty much the same.

General Coil Performance

In terms of wicking e-liquid, all of the GTX coils that I got to try out get top marks. These coped perfectly with any type of e-liquid that I threw at them. I tried mix ratios ranging from 50/50 VG/PG to 70/30 VG/PG and I didn’t experience a single dry hit nor any coil flooding or spit-back. The Armour G Series DTL Pod didn’t leak a drop during use either!

Coil Life

Now as with any coil, this will vary depending on variables such as the viscosity of the e-liquid you are using (higher VG e-liquid tends to clog your coils up quicker), how much sweetener is in your e-liquid and whether it contains certain flavourings.

I ran the 0.2ohm coil in the Vaporesso Armour G and the 0.4ohm coil in the Armour GS to test out the lifespan of the included coils. I was using a range of different e-liquids that had mix ratios from 50/50 VG/PG up to 70/30 VG/PG.

During my testing I found that the 0.2ohm coil lasted me five days and the 0.4ohm coil lasted seven days. That is in line with what I would come to expect!

Battery Life

Built into the Vaporesso Armour G is a 3000mAh battery, which is a pretty large size for a small and powerful device like this!

I’ve found that this seems to power me through my day regardless of what GTX coil I am using and whether I am using Eco Mode or not. This makes it a device that I can trust when I am out and about and unlikely to be able to charge it during the day.

You can extend the battery lifespan even more by using Eco mode and turning the themes off. This didn’t exactly prolong battery life significantly enough for me to worry about.

Whilst using the Vaporesso Armour GS, the battery lifespan will be variable depending on the capacity of the batteries that you are using. Plus other factors such as the resistance of your coil and the selected power output.

I used a Molicell 2800mAh 25A battery which had been purchased relatively recently. I would get just shy of a day’s battery life. Using Eco Mode would prolong this ever so slightly so that I could make it all the way through to the end of the day.

Airflow

Just below the drip tip are two large airflow cut-outs on opposite sides to each other. A buttery smooth airflow control ring allows you to fine-tune the airflow as you so wish.

This can be closed down to a tight mouth-to-lung vape, or opened right up to deliver a lung hit that borders on the unrestricted. You can’t however close down a single airflow slot, not that I felt it mattered when using this kit. We tell you what these terms mean in our Guide To Vaping Styles.

In terms of vapour production, this can seriously kick out the clouds, especially with the included 0.2ohm and 0.4ohm GTX coils. Even with the airflow set to half open, this produces dense vapour. When opening the airflow right up and cranking up the power I can borderline fill a room up with vapour in no time at all!

Pros

• Can be easy to overfill the pod
• 0.2ohm coil is extremely thirsty
• No mouth-to-lung coil option out of the box

Final Verdict

Vaporesso have been on a bit of a roll over the past year with the quality of the devices that they have released. So the key question here is do they have another hit on their hands with the Vaporesso Armour G? In my opinion, the answer is unequivocally yes!

This is a device that I have pretty much been unable to fault during my time with it. It sports an attractive design, plenty of power, is comfortable to hold and has excellent battery life. Most importantly it delivers an exceptional, flavoursome vaping experience too that is up there with the best kits on the market.

Another aspect of this device that I liked is that although it sports plenty of different options to play around with, including the ability to adjust the power output right up to 80W, you really don’t need to mess around with anything if you don’t want to.

You can just throw a coil in the pod, fill it up with e-liquid and push a button to vape if you so wish. The intelligent AXON chipset can automatically detect the resistance of your GTX coil and select the best power output for you. That makes this a really accessible device.

Price and value for money is something that it cannot yet comment on. At the time of writing the Vaporesso Armour G is not available for sale in the UK. However, if this is priced competitively, Vaporesso could have a serious hit on their hands here.

For me, the mark of a quality device is whether it is something that I will continue to use even after I have used the included coils. I can say that this will join the Vaporesso XROS Pro as a daily driver for me! I have already ordered a pack of replacement coils for this kit, so I can definitely see myself using this for months to come!

Honestly I think I am the only person who has never tried an XROS kit!

Also I have this dilemma of how to pronounce the name? I always say “Ex-Ross” whilst apparently some people say it like “Cross”? Let me know in the comments your preference!

What To Expect From The Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano?

The Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano is a pod kit with 2 main components – the main device and the refillable and replaceable pod.

Looking first at the device, it packs a 1350mAh battery which is quite substantial for a device this size. A USB Type C port is provided for charging at a 2A rate in apparently 30 minutes! I will let you know if that boast is true later in the review!

The main stand out feature is the whopping 1.3 inch colour TFT screen – it is probably higher spec than the telly in my bedroom!

You can change the screen theme and there are also optional animations for when you are vaping.

When it comes to the output – this is quite unusual as it depends on the pod you are using.

For the 0.4ohm pod you get a full variable wattage style adjustment.

However for the rest of the pod options you can choose from just 3 modes:

• Eco (economical on battery usage)
• Power (a bit of a power boost)
• Normal (which is erm… normal?)

An operation button is provided to select all your operating options. You can choose between auto draw firing (inhale on the mouthpiece to trigger the automatic firing) or manual button firing – or of course both!

On the side of the mod is an airflow adjustment slider to tailor the incoming airflow to suit the pod installed.

Now talking of pods – this is compatible with ALL – yes ALL – of the previous XROS pods. Perfect! The kit contents depend on the region but you will be getting 2 pods either the 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm or the 0.8ohm and the new 0.4ohm.

The 0.4ohm pod also encompasses the COREX 2.0 technology to prolong pod life and improve the performance.

These have a top fill port which you access by removing the mouthpiece and they will hold 3ml of your own e-liquid as standard. Sadly for us poor buggers in TPD regulated areas that is reduced to 2ml – boo.

Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano Design & Build Quality

I received the Graphite Black version with the 3ml pods. Also Vaporesso kindly sent some of the 0.6ohm pods as well so I will test drive them!

The kit contents vary according to the market. This version is the “Global Kit” version so it included the 0.4ohm and 0.8ohm pods. However with other regions the 0.4ohm is swapped for the 0.6ohm pod. So I have all options now with the extra 0.6ohm pods!

The packaging is very “Vaporesso” – the plain Black packaging which is brightened up with the Neon Green logos.

Inside the box it is split into 2 sections. If you open the top you can access the device with the pod. Open the bottom of the box to access the accessories.

There is very little plastic apart from the wrapping on the mod and the pod container so the majority can be recycled.

Inside the box the device is fully wrapped in a protective plastic cover. There is even a pull tab marked to remove it!

Not only do you get a spare pod, but you also get a USB cable and a good quality lanyard included in the kit. Many kits omit these items to keep prices low.

The instruction manual feels like a newspaper, it is huge! But does cover multiple languages!

Sadly at present there is no online user manual available. I am a bit gutted as the text is really bloody small on the paper version! However keep checking here as I am sure the manual will be uploaded soon.

Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano Mod

This really is a stunning looking device! The shape reminds me of the Lost Vape Ursa Baby Pro, the OXVA Xlim SQ Pro and the Uwell Caliburn GK3 Tenet.

On my version the main frame is a dark shiny Gunmetal colour with Chrome and Black accents – it really does look fabulous! And I am not normally a fan of Black kits!

The front and rear of the device has a slightly matte Black finish panel which curves around to meet the main frame.

Obviously the screen panel takes up the majority of the front panel with a diameter of around 37mm. This is not all screen though, the screen is hidden until it lights up.

At the top of the circular screen panel is the Vaporesso name in a similar colour to the decorative ring around the panel.

On the rear is the Vaporesso logo printed on.

The left side of the device features a small airflow inlet hole and the airflow adjustment slider. This does not protrude far and has a good size knob (ooooh-er) but is slightly stiff. It is better to be that way than loose where it is adjusting itself.

On the opposite side you will find the tiny weeny operation button! It is about 4mm in diameter with a “Record Groove” style texture. It is perfectly clicky and responsive – no issues at all. But might be a bit small if you are using it regularly for button firing – it might take a while to accurately hit the button every time without looking!

Above the operation button is the pretty Chrome accent lanyard hook. This is actually like a bar which sits over a dip in the mod body to allow the lanyard to be easily installed. Actually this was far easier that a lot of similar style mods.

Under the operation button is the USB Type C port which works perfectly well and is nicely recessed to help prevent damage or contamination.

Looking at the base of the mod – this has a strange profile! It is machined in a kind of flattened “U” shape and feels super smooth and you do keep rubbing it!

On here you will find the device name, battery specs and required legal logos etched on in a sort of Beige colour.

The top of the mod houses the pod compartment which has a nice magnetic strength to allow the pod to be removed easily but it is reluctant to fall out too!

The only downside I can find is that the device is a bit heavier than you would expect and with it having a smooth finish you can accidentally let it slip out of your hand quite easily. But that is easily fixed – use the lanyard!

Screen

This is the big impressive part of the Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano and I love it!

As mentioned above the screen is stealth! You will only see it when it lights up. The actual display area is around 30mm x 25mm but is super clear and bright.

The display you see will depend on the theme you have set and the pod installed…

The themes all have different animations which you can turn on and off that appear when you vape. I would love to be able to add more in future – are you listening Vaporesso???

0.4ohm Pod

The screen displays more information with this pod as you get to adjust the output.

You will see the pod resistance in ohms (Ω), output level selected in Watts (W) plus the puff counter and battery charge remaining.

Other Pods

For all other pods you can only choose from 3 user modes – Eco, Power and Normal so all the screens are quite basic.

In all the themes you will see a kind of scale – like a speedo – which displays… well I am not sure what it displays to be honest? It has a padlock at one end and a letter “P” or a spark symbol at the other and never seems to move. There is a needle that points on the Motorcycle view which points to the low end of the scale for ECO, middle for Normal and top for Power.

You also get a battery charge percentage and on the Motorcycle theme you get a battery icon.

XROS Pod

These have been covered in previous reviews but I will just cover the basics here.

These look to be chunky and robust affairs but I do have the 3ml versions!

At the top is the removable Black plastic mouthpiece. This is super comfortable in use.

You have to sort of “Snap off” the mouthpiece to access the fill port. It is not as hard to remove as some other brands but still takes a bit of effort. I have resorted to biting the mouthpiece – but I do have poor grip in my hands.

When you have removed the mouthpiece you will be faced with 3 holes in the top of the pod.

The Red hole is the fill port and it has a valve. When you push the bottle nozzle into this port it will open and allow you to fill.

The centre port is where the vapour comes through so do not add any e-liquid here!

Alongside the centre port is a vent port. This allows air to escape as you fill the pod and prevents airlocks.

The sides of the pod are fully transparent and give a great view of the e-liquid level. Some of the pod is obscured when it is installed on the mod, but you can always tilt the device slightly to see if there is e-liquid present. But as a rule I would refill once you cannot see the e-liquid level above the mod.

In very faint etching you will see the legal logos etched onto one side of the pod and “Vaporesso XROS” on the other.

At the base of the pod the pod resistance is very clearly marked. You will also see the 2 magnets and 2 electrical connections. This means the pod can be inserted either way around.

Quick Start Guide

The kit comes with the 0.4ohm pod installed. Make sure to fill this before removing the isolator sticker at the base of the pod. If you vape before filling this will burn out the coil and the pod will need to be binned.

You will need to fill, charge and set up the device to get going – I will guide you through the steps below!

Basic Operation

• Power On/Off = Press the operation button 5 times to turn on or off.
• Vaping = Simply inhale on the mouthpiece to vape or if manual firing is turned on you can press the button to fire.
• Battery indicator = The screen displays the battery charge remaining when you vape or press the operation button.
• Battery indicator when charging = The charge percentage and countdown timer will be displayed on the screen. When fully charged the screen will show “100%”.
• Lock / unlock operation button = Press the button 4 times to lock or unlock. If you try to operate the button when it is locked, the screen will prompt you to press the button 4 times to continue! When the button is locked this is auto draw firing only. When it is unlocked you can use both methods.
• Settings menu = Press the operation button twice to enter the settings menu.
• Screen theme / animation = When in the settings menu press the button to scroll through options. You can choose between Motorcycle, Universe or Flower. Or you can turn the animation off completely.
• Adjust output (0.4ohm pod) = Press the button 3 times to enter adjustment mode. The current power output figure will flash. Press the button to increase the power until the power you require is displayed. Once you have reached the maximum power it will return to the minimum so you can start again. Wait 3 seconds or inhale on the mouthpiece to confirm the power level selected.
• Adjust output (other pods) = Press the button 3 times to choose from the 3 power level options – Normal, Eco or Power. Press the button to switch between them and leave the device to stand once the one you require is displayed. The screen will return to the home screen.
• Puff counter reset = Press the operation button twice to enter the settings menu. Use the button to scroll down to “Puff Clear” and press to confirm.
• Adjust airflow = move the slide switch on the side of the mod to increase / decrease the incoming airflow to your preference.

  

Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano Protections

• Low battery – The screen will display “Battery Low” and the device will stop firing. To rectify charge the battery.
• Short circuit / too low resistance – The screen will display “Low Resistance” and the device will stop firing. To rectify clean all pod and device contacts. If still not working try a new pod. After that if the issue persists the device may be faulty.
• Open circuit / no pod installed – The screen will display “Check Atomizer” and the device will stop firing. To rectify make sure a pod is installed. Clean all pod and device contacts. If still not working try a new pod. After that if the issue persists the device may be faulty.
• Over time – if you vape for longer than 8 seconds the screen will display “Over Time” and the device will stop firing. To rectify simply inhale on the mouthpiece or press fire again.
• High temperature – The Screen will display “Over Heat” and the device will stop firing. Wait until the device has cooled down and continue vaping.

How To Charge The Battery

The charging rate is specified as 2A.

• Using the included USB type C cable, connect the small end into the USB port on the mod.
• Connect the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
• The screen will display the charge time remaining. Once fully charged the screen will display “100%” and the screen will stay on.

I found it took around 35 minutes to charge. That is slightly above the 30 minute boast of Vaporesso but I am happy with that!

How To Fill the Pod

If using a new pod leave to stand for 5-10 minutes after the first fill to allow the coil to saturate with e-liquid.

• You do not need to remove the pod for filling.
• Snap off the mouthpiece by pushing it to the side.
• Push down on the Red port with e-liquid nozzle.
• Fill whilst observing the e-liquid level through the side of the pod.
• Replace mouthpiece.

How Does The Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano Perform?

As there are different types of pod here, I will use different e-liquid to suit each.

0.8ohm Pod

For this pod, I used my own e-liquid mix which is 50/50 PG/VG made from IVG Bubblegum Concentrate at 20% ratio. This is quite high a flavour ratio as I prefer plenty of flavour, but sadly this means it can be a coil killer sometimes.

I add nic salt to approx 6mg strength.

As mentioned above apart from the 0.4ohm pod, the device will only let you choose 3 power settings.

I did try them all but my favourite was actually “Normal”! In Eco mode it is still a good vape but slightly muted. Power mode gave a bit more heat and I found I took shorter vapes.

There is such a beautiful flavour and smooth vape to the Normal mode – that it is my preference.

Not to mention the impressive amount of vapour, which seems thicker than with the same e-liquid in different kits.

This is obviously why people love the XROS kits – this pod is excellent!

So far after 450 puffs and 7 x 3ml refills the flavour is still epic!

0.4ohm Pod

For this pod I used a higher VG e-liquid – the Ruthless Energy Drank at 70% VG / 30% PG. I have added no nicotine to this as I love a stronger flavour!

The recommended wattage for this pod is 25W and the mod automatically set itself to this! Saved me a job!

Straight off the flavour was incredible – even down to being able to catch the fizz in the background of this e-liquid. In fact this is the best device I have ever tried this e-liquid in!

Wow absolutely amazing.

It is a bit warm and I do think the airflow is slightly too restrictive for this power level and thus I didn’t want to increase the output any further.

I thoroughly recommend this pod for your higher VG e-liquids as it just brings the flavour to life!

10/10 all day long! I have had bigger kits with sub ohm tanks that can’t match this for flavour!

0.6ohm Pod

As Vaporesso kindly sent me a pack of these in addition to the kit I will add what I think!

For this pod I used the same e-liquid as the 0.8ohm pod.

Airflow

I use a rating system for airflow – 0= fully closed and 10= like breathing unrestricted fresh air!

For the 0.8ohm pod I would say it is around 1 when fully closed – you can still get it to fire. Fully open I would rate the airflow at around 5. So it should suit MTL and RDL vapers!

With the 0.4ohm pod I do think the airflow is slightly too restrictive. Even fully open it is around 5 on my scale. This means that the extra vapour and warmth seems to have nowhere to go when you are inhaling and it gets a bit warm. This does need slightly more open airflow to be able to get the best performance from this pod – but as it stands it is still pretty good. As with the 0.8ohm pod fully closed the airflow is around a 1.

Leaks?

Sadly I did get a lot of leaking with the 0.8ohm pod, but the 0.4ohm pod was perfect.

I am not sure if it was something I was doing wrong, but the 0.8ohm pod really did not like me.

Every time I filled it I would get a mouthful of e-liquid and it would also leak into the pod compartment. Also it actually came out through the airflow slider too.

If you do get this issue, I suggest…

• Remove the pod from the device and wrap the pod base with tissue. Blow down the mouthpiece until you can hear all the e-liquid has escaped.
• Dry the pod compartment with a tissue or Cotton Bud. If there is still some e-liquid trapped I would fully open the airflow adjustment inlet hole and blow through it. Mop up any remaining e-liquid in the pod compartment.

I am used to the sometimes leaky pods of the OXVA Xlim but this seemed to be worse.

Perhaps I am filling it wrong somehow? But the pod does have a great venting system so I shouldn’t be getting airlocks which push out the e-liquid? Am a bit stumped.

Mod Performance

This is super responsive, even at the higher output with the 0.4ohm pod.

The auto draw kicks in quickly regardless of the airflow setting.

Even when the battery level is in the Red (under 20%) I found virtually no drop in actual power. So it does seem to regulate the output really well.

One slight area of concern for me is the battery life. Considering this has a larger battery than similar mods, it does seem to discharge a bit quicker. Are the screen and the animation draining it? I will talk all about that more in the next section.

Battery Life

This will always rely on your own vaping habits and the pod selected. I am a very heavy vaper so this must be considered.

Plus there are other variables at play here. There are 3 animated screen themes and you can turn them off too – so will that impact the battery charge life?

I examined whether the animations did impact battery life with the 0.8ohm pod. With the animation on Motorcycle and the mode set to Normal, I got 6 hours – 203 puffs. I turned the animation off and got 6.5 hours and 209 puffs. This difference could also be down to how long the puffs I took were – so it is by no means a scientific method!

Personally I would turn the animation off, you can’t see it when you are vaping anyway! The screen still displays the theme.

I tend to compare the XROS 4 Nano with the OXVA Xlim SQ Pro. They are very similar. With the 0.8ohm pod on the OXVA I got around 7 hours and 300 puffs which is a bit more from a slightly smaller (1200mAh) battery.

With the 0.4ohm pod at 25W I got around 4 hours and 149 puffs.

Pros

• Instruction manual text is very very small and no online manual
• Leaks from 0.8ohm pod
• Battery life was shorter than similar devices with smaller batteries?
• Airflow slightly too restrictive for the 0.4ohm pod
• Only 3 power modes available for anything other than 0.4ohm pod

Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano Final Review Verdict

So did my first XROS experience impress me? Has it overtaken or been added to my favourite daily vape the OXVA Xlim range or my second favourite the Caliburn Range?

Well – yes and no…

Flavour wise this is up there with the Xlim – absolute perfection from the 0.8ohm and 0.4ohm pods.

But sadly I have had to drop a couple of points for the 0.8ohm pod leaking and instruction manual being very small text. It might just be a rogue pod that caused the leaking or even my own error? A couple of other little whinges are shown above in the “Cons” section – including the lower than expected battery charge life and not enough airflow for the 0.4ohm pod.

If these issues were ironed out – this kit would get 10/10 in all aspects! I am so taken with the absolutely delicious vape experience I keep wanting to use it despite the issues.

The 0.8ohm pod was super happy with 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid and the 0.4ohm pod really shone with a 70/30 VG/PG. This kit can happily do both.

So if you are an XROS fan and want to upgrade – there are a lot of nice features on the XROS 4 Nano.

I am unsure if I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The leaking is a big issue – however this only occurred with the 0.8ohm pod – no issues with 0.4ohm. But I am still torn as the flavour is just flipping epic. The build quality in general is also incredible.

Vaporesso are a huge name in vaping circles and have been super successful with pod kits. Their XROS devices have become a staple for many vapers who want flavour!

What To Expect From The Vaporesso Eco Nano 2?

The original Eco Nano was praised by many vapers as being an inexpensive and simple replacement for Disposable Vapes. So what has changed for the Eco Nano 2?

Visually there is not a huge difference, both devices are the same size and have the same size battery.

But one of the most noticeable differences is the LED indicator. The original had a single LED indicator whereas the new version has a 4 step LED indicator to inform of battery charge remaining.

The battery is charged through the USB Type C port at a 1A charge rate – same as the original.

The output is not specified but the device should automatically adjust to suit the pod installed.

This will be performed by the excellent AXON chip found in other Vaporesso kits. It will also pulse the output to enhance the vaporisation – similar to the Pulse Mode found on the Vaporesso Box Mods.

There are no buttons or adjustments so it should be pretty simple to fill and get vaping!

This is compatible with the previous Eco Nano pods with a new 0.6ohm pod released in tandem with the Eco Nano 2.

The pods use the COREX technology to ensure longer coil life and smoother flavour.

Vaporesso state that each pod should last around 18000 puffs!

The kit includes the new 0.6ohm pod but you can also purchase the 0.8ohm or 1.2ohm versions separately.

Each pod will hold up to 6ml of your own e-liquid and are filled through the bottom fill port. Sadly for us in TPD regulated areas this capacity will be reduced to 2ml.

Design & Build Quality

When I first took the Deliciu Mate out of the box, I was really surprised at just how diddy this pod system is!

Dimensions wise, it is 13.66mm x 23.69mm x 98.9mm, making it one of the smaller pod systems out there.

If you are already familiar with the XROS range from Vaporesso, then you will be right at home with this as it sports a similar sort of look and profile.

It just doesn’t have a screen or a power button, but there is a four level LED battery life indicator located just above the Deliciu logo on the front of the device.

This is very lightweight as well, I hardly notice it in my pocket. It is nice to hold in the hand and easy to grip.

Pods connect to the Deliciu device via a magnetic connection and slot in place snugly. They have a frosted black finish, but it is still quite easy to see how much e-liquid you have remaining in the pod.

Quick Start Guide

This is one of the easiest kits to get to grips with!

• Remove the pod from the packaging, take the sticker off from the base of it and pull out the Red silicon plug from the mouthpiece.
• Insert the pod into the Deliciu Mate device.

Once done, simply take a puff on it to get vaping!

There’s no power button present on the device, it features a full auto draw system.

When you finish off a pod, simply discard it and replace it with a new one. It’s as easy as that.

On the front, there is a four level battery life indicator which tells you how much battery life is remaining at a glance.

Charging the device is as simple as plugging a USB-C cable into the charging port located on the side of the Deliciu Mate.

The Deliciu Mate charges at a 5V/0.5A rate, so it isn’t one of the quickest devices at charging.

Not only can the Deliciu Mate work with the Deliciu pre-filled pods, but you can also take advantage of the refillable XROS pods with the 0.8ohm, 1.0ohm and 1.2ohm ones recommended for use.

That means you can use your own e-liquids if you fancy, just grab a refillable XROS pod.

Also, if you already own a Vaporesso XROS pod system, such as the XROS Pro or XROS 4, you can use the pre-filled pods too. I’ve been using the pre-filled pods quite happily with the XROS Pro!

Each pre-filled pod has been engineered by the same team behind the XROS system. So you get to take advantage of the COREX 2.0 coil heating technology with a high quality mesh coil. And each pod is pre-filled with 2ml of Deliciu e-liquid.

You’ve got 15 flavours in total to pick from when it comes to the pre-filled pods, and I’ll be taking a look at 13 of these below.

The only ones that I didn’t get sent over for review were the Pineapple Orange flavour and the Apple & Pear.

How Does The Deliciu Mate Perform?

Lemon Lime

​When I tried out the Deliciu e-liquid range for the first time, I was impressed with just how authentic tasting the lemon and lime flavours were. And this pre-filled pod version is no different, it hits the same high notes!

The inhale brings zesty and authentic lemon and lime flavours. Tasting much like a blend of the actual fruits rather than a lemon lime soda/ice pop style flavouring. It is quite a sharp little flavour! Imagine the tang you get from sucking on an actual slice of lemon or lime and it is followed up by a small hint of an icy sensation at the end.

A superbly mixed lemon and lime flavour, hats off to the Deliciu team for this one!

Fizzy Cherry

I don’t know what magic Vaporesso weave into their cherry flavouring, but this is one of the most realistic cherry flavours that I have had the pleasure of trying.

It is rich, bold and has a thick mouthfeel to it, with a strong note of ripe cherry. Honestly it could be like having a mouth full of delicious cherries! The profile with this one is absolutely spot on.

When I take a really deep draw on this, I get a little tingle in my mouth which could well be a hint of fizz coming through.

Menthol

This is exactly how a menthol vape should be presented!

I get a sharp, crisp mint flavouring that also is underpinned by a sweet layer, with a nice and crisp chill to round it off. This isn’t an artificial menthol, but more of a take on an actual icy mint flavour.

A straightforward and timeless e-liquid flavour that is one of the best representations of true menthol you can get.

Watermelon Ice

​Watermelon always leaves me with a sense of trepidation, as it is really not an e-liquid flavour that I am a fan of. This is primarily in part to the majority of watermelon flavoured e-liquids tasting too artificial. I like the actual fruit however!

This Deliciu version is a little different. I get a more realistic tasting watermelon flavour here, with quite a surprising amount of depth to it. The ice element making this feel like a cold slice of watermelon straight out of the fridge.

It’s only let down by the flavour just tasting ever so slightly on the weak side to me. I can’t believe I’m wishing for more watermelon flavour!

It’s quite different to the vast majority of watermelon ice flavours that are on the market, especially with the authenticity of it!

Pink Lemonade

On the inhale I get a zesty lemon that subsequently gives way to a sweet and sour raspberry flavouring. I felt that this has quite a strong sour element to this one, whereas a lot of other pink lemonade e-liquids taste very sweet – probably because of the large amount of sweetener used in the blend!

This is much more ‘fruity’ than the average pink lemonade flavour on the market. The reduced level of sweetener allows the fruit flavours to take centre stage with this one.

It’s not particularly fizzy and seems to lack a bit of a soda element to it, but it’s not a bad flavour overall.

Pineapple Ice

Much like the Deliciu e-liquid version, I maintain that this is one of the most realistic tasting pineapple flavourings on the market!

This honestly is like a slice of actual pineapple fruit, just with the sourness toned down thanks to a hint of menthol at the end. There’s a good bit of natural bite and sweetness to it however.

The exhale brings a subtle cooling sensation that I would have liked to have been just a touch stronger for my tastes.

Blueberry Sour Raspberry

I felt this had quite a dense flavour profile to it, which reminded me of a blueberry and raspberry jam type of flavour.

On the inhale, I get the authentic tasting blueberry and raspberry flavours, which bring sweet and sour flavour notes. The sourness is quite pronounced here and it does linger around on the tip of my tongue!

Allowing the natural flavourings to shine through here delivers one of the best tasting blueberry sour raspberry combinations that I have tried.

Strawberry Kiwi

I really loved the strawberry flavouring in this one, so much so that I think Vaporesso should bring out a stand alone strawberry flavour in the Deliciu range!

This captures the authentic taste of an actual strawberry, right down to the texture and mouthfeel.

After the strawberry I get a subtle kiwi flavouring entering the blend, adding a bit of a sharp note to it.

The kiwi flavour note was just a little weak tasting for me and I felt that it was overpowered by the strawberry. I needed to take a good hard pull on the pod to detect the kiwi element to this blend.

Grape

I really enjoy a good, authentic tasting grape e-liquid, unfortunately those can be quite hard to find on the market! I find that most grape e-liquids are too artificial for me and I can’t get on with the candied flavours.

Fortunately, the Deliciu range aims for authentic taste and that is exactly what is delivered here.

The flavour of a grape is captured perfectly, encompassing the sweet tang that you get from the fruit.

It’s well rounded and absolutely bursting with authentic grape flavouring.

Delicious stuff, a pod of this did not last me the whole day!

Blackberry Lime

One of the more unique flavours from the Deliciu range and it was one of my favourites when I reviewed the Deliciu e-liquid range!

It’s quite close to the original experience I had when reviewing the e-liquid range. Although with the Deliciu Mate it’s a slightly weaker vape compared to a refillable pod system such as the XROS Pro.

There’s a delicious contrast between the sweet blackberry flavouring and the sharp lime. With the authentic blackberry flavour coming in first and bringing plenty of natural sweet flavour, before the zesty lime flavouring comes in and leaves me with a tang on the tip of my tongue.

Switching the pod into my XROS Pro really bought out the flavour further though, thanks to the additional power at my disposal!

Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava

This flavour blend is one of the more popular ones on the disposable market. But usually, with disposable Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava flavour, it can be very artificially sweet and strong flavoured.

Which is not what you get here. It’s an authentic blend of kiwi, passionfruit and guava and that much is clear right from the get go.

Kiwi provides more of an undertone here, with the tropical sweet passionfruit and guava flavours being the most dominant ones here.

The natural flavourings are allowed to shine, showing that when blended properly they don’t need an absolute bucketful of sweetener!

Raspberry Key Lime

Now here’s one that I didn’t experience when reviewing the Deliciu e-liquid range. I believe that it was released (in bottled form) shortly after the range came out.

But it’s available here for the Deliciu Mate right from the get go!

And this one quite possibly is my pick of the bunch from this great range.

I get a delicious, authentic sour raspberry flavouring that blends in with the key lime flavouring. The key lime tastes much like what you would expect to find in a Key Lime Pie. And it blends in really well with the raspberry.

Seriously tasty stuff, this is quite happily an all day vape for me.

Strawberry Raspberry Cherry Ice

This one has quite a thick, sticky and syrupy feel to it, as well as a bit of a chill. Almost like the strawberry, raspberry and cherry have been liquidised in a blender, stuck in the fridge for a bit then poured down my throat!

On the inhale, I get a blend of strawberry and raspberry coming in, before the cherry flavouring and a hint of menthol come in on the exhale. I just couldn’t get over how thick and dense the flavouring felt, a little too much for my tastebuds!

If you like thick and syrupy flavour profiles, this one is for you!

Device Performance

Vape wise, I get a very smooth mouth to lung draw from this that is perfect for long and deep inhales to really enjoy those tasty Deliciu flavours. It kicks out a pretty decent level of vapour too!

The airflow is fixed however, so there is no way to adjust this. You will be stuck using a mouth to lung vape which will be fine for the majority of people considering a device such as this. It’s comparable to most popular disposable vapes, but just a little airier.

Battery life is a great selling point with this kit. An 800mAh battery is built into the device which is larger than many other competitors and you should get a good couple of days from this with average use.

If it lasts me through a day then I’m happy, and this certainly did the job there!

Puff Count

Unlike a lot of other manufacturers out there, there’s no big claims made by Vaporesso as to how many puffs you can get out of a single pod.

As to how many puffs you will get from each one, this will differ due to factors such as how frequently you take a puff and how long you take a draw on it.

I did test out a pod though and made a count as to how many puffs I got from the Raspberry Key Lime one. It came out at a very respectable 467 puffs.

I vape quite frequently, so I can easily get through a whole pod in under a day! Most regular users will probably get a little more than that. For example my wife vapes less frequently than I do and she will get a day and a half to two days out of a single pod.

Pros

• Excellent alternative to disposable vapes
• Very clean and tasty flavours
• Easy to use starter kit
• Compatible with XROS series of pods
• Good battery life

Cons

• Might be a little under-powered for more experienced users
• Fixed airflow
• Charging is a little slow

Final Verdict

Thanks to the pods being pre-filled with Deliciu e-liquid, you’ll find the flavours on offer here are a cut above many pre-filled pods out there.

They truly are excellent, authentic tasting fruity flavours that just taste natural rather than over-flavoured and over-sweetened.

These definitely aren’t your usual incredibly sweet disposable style flavours here, this is all about authenticity!

If you are using disposable vapes, then do yourself a favour and pick up one of these instead.

Not only are the flavours better and the device is reusable over and over again, but you also have yourself a device that is compatible with the XROS series of refillable pods. So you can have the option of trying out endless different flavours with different e-liquids.

I can’t impress enough on you just how clean and tasty the flavours are, you’ll just have to get out there and try them for yourself! And as these will be available for under £12 in the UK, you can give one a go at a real bargain price.

Of course Vaporesso are no strangers to mod and tank kits, we have recently seen the Armour Max plus earlier kits such as the Gen 200 and Target 200.

More Details On The Vaporesso Gen Max / SE Kits…

The kit consists of the new Vaporesso Gen Max / SE box mod and the iTank T Sub Ohm tank.

The Gen Max mod is the larger of the two using 2x 18650 removable batteries. Whereas the Gen SE is smaller and uses only 1x 18650. The batteries of course are not included.

Although there are some differences I will cover both models in this preview.

Looking at the basics now and as you would imagine the power output is different between the two variants. The Gen Max will output 5-220W and the Gen SE is 5-80W.

Both devices have USB Type C ports for charging at a 2A charge rate.

On the Gen Max you will find a circular colour 0.96 inch TFT screen which has different screen themes with animated graphics to choose from. An LED indicator is there to give you information at a quick glance.

The fire button rotates to provide the means of adjustment. There is also a lock button to prevent accidental firing.

On the Gen SE, the 0.96 inch screen is a standard rectangular shape. Adjustment is via the up and down buttons located below the screen.

Inside the mods is the popular AXON chip which is found on a lot of Vaporesso box mods which gives you plenty of user mode options including:

• F(t) – is a flavour boosting mode
• PUL – Pulse mode – the power output is pulsed to provide a more stable output
• ECO – Eco mode – which is a standard Variable Wattage mode
• VV – Variable Voltage
• SMART – In this mode the mod will automatically set the output to match the coil installed

Both kits include the iTank T which is compatible with the GTi coil platform used on a lot of Vaporesso devices.

You get the 0.2ohm and 0.4ohm coils included in the kit.

With the Gen Max kit the tank capacity is 6ml and is 3ml for the Gen SE. Sadly this is reduced to 2ml for TPD regulated areas. You fill by sliding the top cap to reveal the fill port.

To help prevent leaks the airflow inlets are at the top of the tank. The incoming airflow is also adjustable.

Another measure to prevent leaking is the e-liquid recycling system which re-uses any condensation or e-liquid lying in the base of the tank by drawing it back up through the coil.

There are 7 colours to choose from for both models: Storm Blue, Dark Black, Arctic Silver, Ice Blue, Gradient Purple, Platinum Gold and Hot Pink.

The Luxe range has more recently stuck to pod kits, including the Luxe Q2, Luxe X Pro, Luxe XR Max, Luxe QS and Luxe X.

What To Expect From The Vaporesso Luxe X2?

This is a pod kit consisting of the mod (or battery section) and the pod (tank).

However this is more advanced than a lot of pods kits – let me tell you what it has to offer!

Inside the device is a 2000mAh battery – a lot bigger capacity than you usually would get in a compact kit.

It charges using the USB Type C port at a 1.5A charge rate – which is a bit slow considering most kits have a 2A charge rate.

Output wise it says it will go up to 40W maximum. There does not appear to be any way of manually adjusting the output or power levels. I assume the AXON chipset automatically selects the output according to the pod resistance?

You can adjust the airflow to suit your own preference and this makes the device more versatile considering the pod options available.

When it comes to operation you can either use the button to fire manually or select the auto draw mode (just inhale on the mouthpiece).

An LED indicator is provided to indicate the battery charge remaining and device status.

When it comes to the pods, this is compatible with the previous Luxe X fixed coil pods or the Luxe XR replaceable coil pods which use the wide range of GTX coils!

Included in the kit are the 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm pods.

These have a 5ml e-liquid capacity (or 2ml for TPD regulated areas) with a fill port located on the base.

The coil technology has been upgraded to “COREX 2.0” which apparently increases the output and pod lifespan.

You can choose from 8 colours: Avocado Green, Light Pink, Wasp Yellow, Night Black, Ruby White, White Silver, Light Purple and Navy Blue.

Will the XROS 4 follow in the footsteps of the XROS Pro? Let’s dive in and have a look…

What Can We Expect From The Vaporesso XROS 4?

The Vaporesso XROS 4 is a pod system that offers a simple, user-friendly experience.

It has 3 power output modes plus true Mouth To Lung (MTL) and Restricted Direct Lung (RDL) vaping. We tell you what these terms mean in our Guide To Vape Styles.

This is compatible with the full range of XROS pods, aside from the ones specifically designed for the XROS Pro.

The included 0.4ohm XROS pod features upgraded COREX 2.0 technology! This upgraded COREX 2.0 technology builds on the original and offers increased flavour and vapour production, with an even better pod lifespan!

Refined adjustments to the mesh grid within the coil ensures that the temperature matching is optimised. Which enables faster coil heating and even better taste. The cotton within the coil has also been upgraded, to make for better wicking and prevention of burnt hits.

An easy top filling system is found on the XROS pods. These have a 2ml capacity in TPD regulated areas and a 3ml capacity outside of this.

AXON pulse technology means that power is consistently boosted by the chipset. This ensures you have a regular and consistent vaping experience regardless of the current battery level. So your first puff should taste just as good as the last one!

There’s three power modes to choose from on the XROS 4 to suit your preferred style of vaping. It is easy to switch between the three different settings with single button operation.

A 1000mAh battery is built into the device, which fast charges in just 30 minutes via USB Type C.

Design & Build Quality

I received the Purple and Bloody Mary colour options for review. Let me tell you – these are definitely lookers! The colours really stand out and make for a very attractive looking pod system.

The build quality is rock solid, these really do feel robustly made. The XROS 4 features an all Aluminium Alloy unibody design and this really looks and feels like a premium product.

It measures in at 120.8mm x 24mm x 14mm, making it actually a touch taller than the XROS Pro, but it is slightly thinner and feels lighter too.

It has smooth rounded edges which sit nicely in hand making it comfortable to hold and to operate.

A magnetic connection is used for the XROS pods, which connect with a satisfying click and are held in place nicely. A large viewing window is present on the pods, allowing you to easily check the e-liquid level and an easy to use top filling system is present.

On the body of the XROS 4 device is an LED display, which shows the current battery level, selected power output and has the power button at the bottom of the screen.

On the opposite side is the airflow adjustment slider, which features smooth travel and enables easy adjustment of the airflow on the fly.

There’s also a USB-C charging port located on the side of the XROS 4.

Quick Start Guide

How To Fill The XROS 4 Pod

Firstly, you’ll want to fill up the pod, to do so simply:

• Pop off the Black mouthpiece from the top of the pod
• Locate the Red filling port
• Stick the bottle nozzle into the filling port and fill it up.

After doing this, replace the mouthpiece and let the e-liquid sit in the pod for at least five minutes to allow the e-liquid to fully saturate the cotton. This will reduce the risk of dry hits and prolong the lifespan of the pods.

Operation

Next up, click the power button five times to turn the XROS 4 on. The screen should light up and cycle through a few different LED colours.

Airflow can be adjusted by simply popping your thumb on the airflow slider and sliding it right to close the airflow down, and left to open it up.

To cycle through the three different power settings, click the power button twice in two seconds to change the setting.

I’m no fan of fire buttons on pod systems, so after selecting my preferred power setting I locked it immediately by clicking the power button three times in two seconds!

If you haven’t locked the fire button, you can hold it down to fire the XROS 4, or simply take a draw on it. Auto draw mode will still be available regardless of whether the power button is locked.

Battery level is indicated via a coloured LED on the screen, Green means that there is 70-100% charge left, Blue is 30-70% and Red is 30%.

Charging

2A fast charging is supported by the XROS 4 meaning that you can get a full charge in just 30 minutes via USB-C.

A USB-C cable is included in the box, which slots into the charging port on the side of the device.

How Does The Vaporesso XROS 4 Perform?

You have a 0.4ohm XROS pod and a 0.8ohm XROS pod included in the kit, with the 0.4ohm pod boasting the upgraded COREX 2.0 technology.

Interestingly the Bloody Mary kit that I received for review actually featured a 0.6ohm XROS pod as well as the 0.8ohm one… But when I look online I can only see this being sold with the 0.4ohm and 0.8ohm pods, go figure!

I received the 3ml XROS pod editions for review, but these will have a 2ml capacity if purchased within a region covered by the Tobacco Products Directive, such as the UK.

Having previously tried out the 0.4ohm XROS pods with the XROS Pro, which are designed for restricted direct lung vaping, I was blown away with how good the performance of these were, with market leading performance in the flavour and vapour department.

And this is no different here, that same absolutely outstanding flavour delivery is very much present and correct!

These really do get the absolute most out of your e-liquids, allowing you to really enjoy all the flavour notes present in them and massively punch above their weight for a pod!

I hadn’t tried out the 0.6ohm pods before but I was very pleased with the performance of these as well.

Like the 0.4ohm pods, they are best suited for restricted direct lung vaping, offering a slightly cooler and less intense vape than the 0.4ohm pod but still packing plenty in the flavour and vapour departments.

The 0.8ohm coil is suited to a loose mouth to lung draw, so you’ll want to dial down the airflow when using this one. Flavour is still very good with this pod but the 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm versions win out for me here, as they are more suited to my style of vaping.

The 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm pods are pretty thirsty when it comes to e-liquid, I could easily refill one of these three times a day!

Leaking?

I also don’t have any issues with leaks from them either, aside from a very small bit of condensation build up at the base that I need to wipe away from time to time.

Lifespan

Lifespan is excellent, I’ve been using these pods daily for over the past week and they are still going strong with no degradation of flavour.

Airflow

Adjusting the airflow gives you the option of a loose restricted lung hit when set fully open. Right down to a tight mouth to lung draw when closed down, with everything in-between.

The XROS 4 can kick out some pretty decent clouds with the airflow wide open.

Mod Performance

As well as adjusting the airflow, you can select from three different power output settings. To be honest I just stuck with the most powerful setting and left it at that as I found the other two settings too weak for my style of vaping. I quite enjoy a powerful vape!

Built into the XROS 4 is a 1000mAh battery, which will struggle to last a day with heavy usage. Fast charging is a bonus, but I’ve found that I have needed to take this out alongside another device if I’m going to be spending a while away from a plug socket!

Pros

• Outstanding flavour from the XROS pods
• Solid build quality

• Great looks
• 2A fast charging is pretty rapid

Cons

• Screen is hard to see in daylight and bright light conditions

• 0.4ohm XROS pod is pretty thirsty

Final Verdict

If you have read my Vaporesso XROS Pro review, you will know that I was a big fan of that, so I was really keen to try out the XROS 4.

And I’ve been left really impressed by this great bit of kit. You get absolutely excellent flavour from the XROS pods! Honestly amongst the absolute best in the pod market at the moment and they don’t slouch when it comes to kicking out the vapour too.

Build quality is absolutely great and there’s a wide range of different colours to pick from. The screen is bold and clear – as long as you aren’t in bright light!

It certainly won’t supplant my XROS Pro, but it will be an absolutely rock solid back up to it.

I can see this being a great option for people that are looking for a top performing pod system as a back up to their main device. Or for someone that just wants a very simple pod system that vapes fantastically well.

I would certainly recommend switching to something like this if you are still using disposable vapes!

If you don’t want to muck around with adjusting the power output and want a really simple plug and play option that has compatibility with the same excellent XROS pods at a cheaper price, then it is also worth considering the Vaporesso XROS 4 Mini.

What Can We Expect From The Vaporesso Coss Click?

This is not to be confused with the Vaporesso Coss which is a completely different device.

Unfortunately due to the TPD regulations the maximum capacity of a vape tank in applicable areas (such as the UK) is 2ml. This means that disposable vapes are very wasteful – having to be discarded when the 2ml of e-liquid runs out.

The Coss Click is a new style of disposable vape similar to the Zap Instafill, where an emphasis is placed on getting more out of your disposable vape compared to your usual 2ml one.

It aims to bridge the gap between a disposable and a pod kit.

There’s a link to the Deliciu range here, as each of the Coss Click disposables come with a 10ml cartridge filled with tasty Deliciu liquid that has 20mg nicotine salt.

Note: this is not compatible with standard 10ml e-liquid bottles!

You simply slot this into the Coss Click device, click the button, invert it and voila – the 2ml reservoir in the device fills with liquid ready to vape!

An auto draw system is present which delivers a mouth to lung (MTL) vape by simply inhaling on the mouthpiece.

There is a built in Vaporesso Corex coil quickly firing up and evenly heating the e-liquid to maximise flavour delivery. And Vaporesso state you’ll get up to 6000 puffs from each Coss Click!

A ‘coil-liquid’ separation system combined with the Corex heating technology ensures that the wick stays fresh, lasts longer and minimizes wastage by ensuring that the cotton wick isn’t pre-soaked in e-liquid, reducing its lifespan.

Getting 6000 puffs out of each one will save vapers money in the long run, as these will retail for £12.99 (at the time of writing). Purchasing the equivalent in single use disposable vapes would set you back in the region of £20.

A 600mAh battery is built into the Coss Click, which can be recharged via USB-C, seeing you through the lifespan of each 10ml bottle.

An LED light indicator displays the current battery level and gives you a visual guide as to when it is time to recharge.

Finally, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to flavours, as there is a large range of 15 to pick from!

Design & Build Quality

The Vaporesso Coss Click is quite lightweight in the hand and doesn’t feel too bulky when in my pocket. It has been ergonomically designed so it feels quite nice to hold as well.

There’s a few different colour schemes on the devices depending on which Coss Click flavour you opt for and the selected flavour is printed on the bottom of the e-liquid cartridge.

The slot to insert the 10ml Deliciu e-liquid cartridge is located at the base and the cartridges slide in smoothly and lock firmly into the device.

At the top of the Coss Click is the fixed mouthpiece. The reservoir filling button is located next to this. It is of a good size and easy to push down with a satisfying click.

Underneath the mouthpiece is the 2ml reservoir for the pod and it is easy to see how much e-liquid you have left in there.

The 2ml capacity pod at the top has a fixed coil, which uses Vaporesso’s patented Corex coil technology to improve flavour delivery and coil lifespan.

The side of the device features a transparent cut out, so you can see how much e-liquid you have left in the 10ml e-liquid cartridge. You’ll also be able to check battery life as this allows you to see the LED light indicator.

At the base is the USB-C charging port, used to recharge the built in 600mAh capacity battery. It does not come supplied with a USB-C charging cable so you’ll need to use one of your own.

Overall, these do feel quite robustly made and a step up from your usual 2ml disposable vapes.

Quick Start

• First off, you need to remove the Deliciu e-liquid cartridge from the wrapper and slide it into the device until you hear a click.
• You don’t need to remove the foil from the top of the cartridge, just go ahead and push it right in!

• Once the cartridge has been inserted, hold down the large filling button and invert the Coss Click until the 2ml pod reservoir has filled up.
• Once that is done, let it sit for three minutes so that the cotton can absorb the e-liquid, then puff away simply by drawing on the device.
• When the 2ml reservoir has emptied out simply repeat the filling process to refill it.

The transparent cut out at the side of the device as well as the transparent e-liquid cartridge allows you to see a coloured LED. This displays a Green colour when there is 100-70% battery life left, Blue when there is 70-30% left and Red when there is 30-0% left.

From experience, once it is Red it is time to plug it in and charge as the vape will be quite weak by this point!

How Does The Vaporesso Coss Click Perform?

Paradise Fusion

They say…

“A punchy blend of Dark Grape, sweet Strawberry and citrusy Orange notes.”

We say…

This is punchy indeed, with some very bold flavour present! Paradise Fusion is a flavour combination that absolutely delivers some great flavours.

I felt that the Dark Grape flavouring takes centre stage here, which subsequently gives way to a Strawberry undertone and a citrus note on the exhale. The exhale also features an icy cooling note, which blends in well with these three flavours.

Vaporesso have got the blending spot on with Paradise Fusion, a tremendously enjoyable vape that doesn’t need to rely on an abundance of sweetener.

Fizzy Cherry

They say…

“A classic fusion of fizzy soda notes with the sweet flavour of Cherry.”

We say…

So this one is very similar to the Fizzy Cherry flavour I reviewed in the Deliciu e-liquid range review! In fact it is pretty much identical with the only difference being that I am vaping it in a slightly lower powered Coss Click compared to the Vaporesso XROS Pro!

I get a bold, realistic tasting Cherry flavour which is comparable to a Cherry juice drink.

This seems to have a thicker fuller mouth feel to it when compared to the Deliciu e-liquid version! Almost tasting syrupy in the Coss Click and coating my mouth in flavour. I’m still not picking up any fizz though!

Berry Ice

They say…

“A mixed berry medley of Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry plays between sweet and sour before an icy twist takes over.”

We say…

Berry Ice really does coat my mouth in an abundance of flavour. Disposables are known for packing a flavour punch and Berry Ice takes this up a notch with a mix of authentic tasting berry flavours finished off with a cooling note.

Again, Vaporesso have hit the nail on the head when it comes to delivering authentic tasting fruit flavours. The Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry notes are all present and identifiable individually and entwine with each other wonderfully.

It’s like having an actual mouthful of the fruits themselves!

Puff Count

Vaporesso state that you can get up to 6000 puffs out of a single Coss Click device, which will last the average vaper quite some time indeed!

As with any disposable your mileage may vary however. Lifespan varies depending on variables such as how often you take a puff and how long you inhale for.

And I didn’t get far off at all with one of these kits, which was quite impressive. With the Paradise Fusion one, I counted 5921 puffs before the e-liquid ran out! Which is an impressive amount of vaping for the money!

From start to finish, flavour delivery was consistent. It never once tasted like the coil was reaching the end of its lifespan before the 10ml bottle of e-liquid ran out.

Another aspect to note is that I would get a full day’s worth of vaping off of a single charge from the built in 600mAh battery. It would last me from when I took it off charge in the morning to popping it back on for a charge at night.

Pros

• 10ml of e-liquid keeps you going for a while!
• Saves money over purchasing five separate 2ml disposables
• Some of the best tasting flavours on the disposable market
• Very easy to use
• Battery lasts all day
• Recharges quickly

Cons

• No ability to purchase new e-liquid cartridges or replacement coils
• Large waste footprint as need to throw the whole device away once the e-liquid is finished
• Mouth to lung draw is quite tight
• No adjustable airflow

Final Verdict

Honestly, I was blown away with the quality of the flavours from each of the Vaporesso Coss Click devices! These have got to be amongst the best that I have tried as a disposable vape. I only wish I got to try out even more!

You have the quality of the Deliciu range to thank here. The R&D (Research & Development) of their e-liquid range has been ported over to the e-liquid found within these. And this makes for a truly tasty experience in an easy to use format.

Performance wise, these have been absolutely spot on. Having no issues with e-liquid flooding the coil or spitback, no dry hits and excellent flavour from start to finish. Plus the battery is sufficient to last through a whole days’ worth of vaping.

These are well made little disposable devices. Although one of my only major complaints is that these aren’t really truly reusable as once the e-liquid is finished. You need to throw the whole device away! Even if you refilled the bottle the coil would eventually wear out and cannot be replaced.

You get good value for money with a Coss Click device. These will retail for £12.99 compared to having to spend £20 on disposables for the equivalent amount of puffs.

More Details On The Vaporesso XROS Cube…

This is a pod kit and as the “XROS” name badge suggests this is compatible with previous XROS replaceable pods.

There are quite a few pods available in this range, you get the 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm mesh pods included in the kit. You can also purchase 0.6ohm, 0.7ohm and 1ohm pods if you wish.

The pod component is disposable, you will discard it when the coil performance is poor – this will happen over time. There is no messy coil change to contend with!

In standard form the pod will hold 3ml of your own e-liquid via the side fill port. However for TPD regulated areas the capacity is reduced to 2ml and you remove the mouthpiece to access the top fill port.

Inside the mod is a 900mAh battery which is charged using the USB Type C port at a fast 2A rate.

The output is not specified, but you do not need to worry as the device will select the correct output automatically to match the pod installed.

An LED indicator is provided which changes colour to indicate the battery charge remaining and will also display any faults. It is designed to shine through the whole device.
