What To Expect From The Suorin Fero?

The Suorin Fero pod kit is marketed as being “Always On” – I am not sure what this actually means as most auto draw pod kits have the same feature!

fero banner 2

I think the slogan is somewhat “lost in translation” as is a lot of the Suorin website.

For instance – see the image below – “Always on, Always you” – doesn’t really make much sense.suorin fero always on

Anyway time to look at the facts!

Inside the mod is a 1000mAh internal battery which you recharge using the USB Type C port at a fast 2A charge rate. Suorin state that it only takes 40 minutes to fully charge.

suorin fero battery

The output is specified as 25W maximum but I am not sure if this can be manually adjusted or whether the device just automatically selects the output according to the pod installed?

It is equipped with a 0.42 inch OLED screen and a pretty RGB light surround which has 5 display modes to choose from.

An airflow adjustment slider allows you to tailor the incoming airflow to suit your vaping style. We tell you all about MTL and RDL in our Guide.

suorin fero airflow

You can either use the fire button to manually fire or rely on the auto draw system which triggers the firing automatically when you inhale on the mouthpiece.

This uses fixed coil pods – meaning when the coil performance has dropped off you simply replace the whole pod rather than messy coil changes. Apparently you should be able to refill up to 10 times before the pod needs replacing. suorin fero pod life

At the moment there are 2 pod options – 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm and both are included in the kit. There is a promise of other options coming in the future.

suorin fero pod range

A side fill port allows you to fill the pod with 3ml (or 2ml in TPD regulated areas) of your own e-liquid.

Anti-leakage systems are in place to help prevent leaks from the pod.

What To Expect From The Suorin SE…

This looks to be a pretty simple affair which should appeal to beginners.

This uses refillable pods which have a fixed coil. Meaning when the coil performance is rubbish you just throw the pod component away and replace with a new one. Ideal for those who don’t want to be messing around changing fiddly coils.

The pod will hold up to 2ml of your own e-liquid and has a side fill port. Suorin also promise the pod will be leak free.

The main device (mod) has a 800mAh battery and USB Type C charging.

The output is not specified but I assume the mod chip detects the pod resistance and adjusts the output automatically to suit the pod.

Four LED indicator lights display the battery charge remaining.

What Can We Expect From The Suorin Air Mini…

As you can see this is another pod kit with a fixed coil pod (cartridge) and a battery section (mod).

suorin air mini components

The mod section comprises of a 430mAh battery which you recharge using the USB Type C port.

Apparently you can charge the battery in only 30 mins so that is good going! This claim will be tested!

suorin air mini charging

An LED indicator displays the device status and it is a breathing (pulsing) style light which shines through a square shaped series of holes on the mod body.

suorin air mini LED

The output is specified as 14W maximum so I am not sure if this is regulated (output stays constant) or is just what the battery will supply (this could decrease as the battery discharges).

There is “Auto draw activation” (i.e. when you inhale the device will automatically fire) so should be super simple to use.

suorin air mini airflow

The pod section is where you add up to 2ml of your e-liquid and the drip tip mouthpiece is removable to access the fill port. Apparently these components are a tight fit to be child resistant and leak resistant.

suorin air mini pod

This has a disposable pod – which means you can’t change the coil. So when the coil performance has deteriorated you swap the pod for a new one and keep the main body.

The pod holds a 1ohm mesh coil which should give good coil life and flavour.

There are 10 colour options to choose from: Mint Green, Silver, Black, Star-Spangled Red, Star-Spangled Blue, Red, Diamond Blue, Light Blue, Rose Gold and Gold.

Suorin Air Mini Design and Build Quality

I received this in the Black colour which is not the most exciting version to be honest.

air mini front view

The packaging was fine and the device arrived in a pristine condition with a bonus silicone mouthpiece cover installed.

I did find the box a bit fiddly to open and trying to lift out the internal tray was a challenge too!

The instructions are good and showed everything you would need to be aware of using this kit.

air mini instructions

Oh and a special mention for the ribbon style USB cable – although quite short it is a thing of beauty!

Air mini USB cable

Suorin Air Mini Device

In the Black colourway this is very dull to look at. But it is surprisingly small and cute. It is approximately the same height as a 10ml e-liquid bottle!

suorin air mini size comparison

The body of the mod is a kind of matte Black finish and the pod is a gloss Black.

This has a shape of a very worn bar of soap – with lovely smooth contours and no uncomfortable edges.

air mini side profile

On the front of the device is the square shaped LED indicator which consists of rows of small holes to give the impression of a dot matrix display.

Air Mini blue LED

Also on the front in a Grey print are the “Suorin” and “Air Mini” logos.

air mini front logos

On the rear of the device are the required legal logos in the same Grey print.

suorin air mini rear logo

The base of the device houses the USB Type C port, which does mean the device will have to be laid down to charge.

Air mini base view

The pod feels extremely loose when installing and removing however it does not fall out when shaking the device. But if I did a “fling” motion the pod did come out. I dropped this a few times onto carpet and the pod stayed in place. But when dropped on a hard floor the pod and mod did part company.

Inside the pod port are 2 spring loaded contacts and 2 magnets.

air mini pod port

Suorin Air Mini Pod

This has a dark gloss Black mouthpiece so you will have to remove the pod from the device to check e-liquid levels unfortunately.

air mini pod view

The lower 1/3rd of the pod is clear and features a minimum fill line, Suorin Logo and legal logos.

air mini pod text

You pull off the mouthpiece to access the fill ports, this isn’t too bad to remove – and I always struggle with such methods, so I was happy with this system. My grip is not great so I found using some material to help grip was useful.

air mini mouthpiece removed

On the top of the pod are 3 ports, the two outside ports are for filling and the centre port is the coil output. You would not like the effects if you accidentally added e-liquid to the centre port as it is likely to cause spitting.

air mini fill port

Suorin say to replace the mouthpiece within 5 seconds of filling – which initially confused me. But I found out why!

I removed the mouthpiece to write the description above and I found e-liquid pouring out the base of the pod. So bear that in mind – I was not happy at me and my desk being covered in e-liquid! Lesson learned!

See the photo below for an example – with the mouthpiece removed I had quite a leak just in the time it took to take a couple of photos! Hence why the pod is resting on tissue!

air mini leaking

Also a card gives tips for use and it says to shake the pod after filling and keep an eye on the minimum fill level.

air mini tips cards

Plus the Suorin website provides the video below and it is prominently located at the top of the Air Mini product page – which tells me there have been people having an issue.

The base of the pod features 2 contact points and the rest of the base is metal to attract to the magnets in the mod.

air mini pod base

I am surprised to see that Suorin say to change the pod every 7 days after the first filling? That to me seems wasteful so I would only replace when the coil performance has deteriorated or if a burnt taste appears.

Quick Start Guide

The device comes with a pod cover installed so remove that. You can re-use the cover to keep the mouthpiece clean when not in use.

air mini mouthpiece cover

Also a protective sticker is located on the base of the pod to prevent accidental firing before the pod has been filled. Remove this to start vaping.

air mini isolator sticker

Charge battery, fill pod and away you go!

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: there is no on or off function.
  • Vaping: inhale on the mouthpiece and the device will fire automatically.
  • Battery indicator: Red = 0-40% charge, Blue = 40-75% charge, Green = 75-95% charge, Green stays on = 95-100% charge.air mini LED instructions

Protections

The LED indicator will stay the colour of the battery status but will flash as below in the case of any issues…

  • Battery Low: light will flash 3 times
  • No atomiser: light will flash once – clean pod base and contacts. If this does not rectify use a new pod.
  • Resistance too low: light will flash 5 times – clean pod base and contacts. If this does not rectify use a new pod.
  • Time Over – if vaping for longer than 5 seconds the light will flash 10 times and the fire will cut out.

How To Charge The Battery

  • Insert the small end of the included USB Type C cable into the charge port of the device.Air mini base view
  • Insert the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
  • Leave to charge. The light will pulsate and change colour to indicate what stage charging is at. The Green light will stay solidly lit when fully charged.Air Mini green LED

Charging took under 30 mins every time I charged it – so nice work Suorin!

How To Fill the Pod

Make sure to put the pod on a tissue as there will be a leak when you remove the mouthpiece.

  • Remove the pod from the mod.
  • Pull off the mouthpiece. This can be a bit tricky, I found using some material to grip the pod and mouthpiece helped.
  • Only use the two outer holes for filling, the centre hole is for the coil and filling that will make vaping unpleasant.air mini fill port
  • Fill the pod whilst watching the e-liquid level.air mini filling
  • Replace mouthpiece – this will only fit one way around.
  • Leave pod to stand for 10 minutes to allow the coil to soak up the e-liquid before using.
  • Replace pod into mod – again this will only fit one way around.

Suorin Air Mini Performance

I will be using my own 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid which is based on the IVG Bubblegum Concentrate at a 20% flavour ratio with 6mg Nic salt.

1ohm Pod Performance

This is beautiful. I left the pod to stand for 10 mins after filling as this is a Mesh coil – and a dry hit from a mesh coil is like kissing the devils arse – really.

From the first vape on this pod I was instantly impressed, there was no delay in the flavour coming through strong.

I love the airflow, flavour and heat you get. The flavour is super pure and you still get a good throat hit too. The output of the device seems perfect for the coil resistance.

The vapour output is not huge – as expected with a higher resistance, lower powered kit. But this is not a kit a cloud chaser would even consider.

No complaints at all here – in fact this gets a rare 10/10. Suorin usually nail flavour and they have done it again with this kit.

If you want to know what a perfect MTL vape feels like – then this kit is exactly that. If you wanted to stop smoking the sensation of the airflow and throat hit of this kit would give you a perfect replacement with something which tastes far nicer than a cigarette!

Sadly the firing cuts out after 5 seconds (a safety protection) which does mean sometimes you get a shorter inhale than you would like.

Airflow

This is a very very tight airflow, but this doesn’t cause any issue for the Auto Fire system.

suorin air mini airflow chart
Suorin Air Mini Airflow

I would say on the airflow scale (0=closed, 10=no restriction) this falls around 2-3.

Does It Leak?

When you remove the mouthpiece – even for filling, unless you are super turbo speedy you will start to get e-liquid dripping out of the base of the pod.

I assume there is some kind of pressure increase when you remove the mouthpiece which then pushes e-liquid out of the pod.

Not a huge deal breaker, but it almost makes filling a race against the clock – tick tock – leak o’clock.

Mod Performance

This is such a simple device there should be little to go wrong.

The only weak point could be the auto fire system, but I have not encountered any issues at all and it fires up super quick.

I did find the 5 second cut out annoying as I do take long drags on MTL devices and several times it moaned at me for taking too long.

As the battery depleted the output did not seem to drop, but I had moments when the light was on Red, of the vape being cut off after 2 or 3 seconds with the battery low light signal flashing. So it does seem to be a regulated output and when the battery is too low to supply the power it just cuts the vape off and the light flashes 3 times.

Battery Life

Obviously this varies according to your vaping habits. But I found I got around 3 to 3.5 hours of regular vaping. I am quite a heavy vaper though, so if you were only vaping in short bursts on work breaks etc it will obviously last you longer.

Pros

  • Airflow is a great MTL resistance.
  • Quick and responsive auto draw.
  • Kit is way tinier than you would expect.
  • Easy to use.
  • Lovely feel in the hand.
  • Good battery life indicator – but I didn’t notice it pulsing or tiding. It would stay on solid when vaping and then gradually fade until the light went off.
  • Output is regulated so stays constant until the battery is discharged.
  • Less than 30 minutes to fully charge.

Cons

  • E-liquid level not visible when pod is installed.
  • Pod leaks when you remove mouthpiece.
  • 5 second cut off is too short – especially if you are someone who takes long drags.
  • Needs frequent refilling to keep above minimum liquid level – minimum level is around 0.5ml of the full capacity – so in real terms you only get 1.5ml each time you top up.
  • Minimum liquid level is not very clearly marked on the pod.
  • Pod feels loose in the mod body and can fall out.
  • Only 1 pod included in kit – which is a shame as a new vaper may damage a pod by accident.

Suorin Air Mini – Final Review Verdict

The flavour and ease of use of this kit score big points for me.

However there are flaws – not being able to see the e-liquid level and the vape cutting out after 5 seconds are bloody annoying.

Also refilling is very messy I have to make sure I have some tissue around – so not very convenient if you are out and about.

A few tweaks could really elevate this kit to 10/10 scores.

As it stands – it would be OK for a new vaper, but I worry the leaking may put someone new off. Also they may not remember to keep checking the e-liquid level. Which is very important with this kit as it needs frequent top ups.

To one battery charge cycle I needed to top up 4 times. Plus you need to make sure it doesn’t drop below the “minimum” level on the pod – which is not that easy to see. So really you only have about 1.5ml capacity as you can’t let the level drop to the last 1/4 (0.5ml) of a pod.

Such a shame these annoying little grumbles spoil what could be a wonderful simple little pod kit.

In for review today is the Suorin Drop 2 pod kit.

Suorin may not be a manufacturer you’ve heard of, but they’re certainly worth taking note of, specifically if you’re interested in small pod systems that perform well.

One thing I like about Suorin is that they take risks. Their packaging may not be the most fancy and the names of their devices may be a little obvious but their styling is unusual and certainly eye catching.

Known mainly for smaller systems with internal batteries, but have also produced a few single 18650 devices. They were making pod kits before they even became a “thing”!

The Suorin Ace has by far been my favourite pod system by Suorin. Kind of Uwell Koko styled with an excellent battery capacity and a wonderful flavourful vape. I was very impressed with the Ace.

So let’s hope this water drip shaped Drop 2 Pod System performs up to my expectations.

What Can We Expect From the Drop 2 by Suorin?

A little comparison first. The original Drop had a 300mAh internal battery, came with a 2ml 1.3Ω pod and was 73mm x 49mm x 12mm in dimensions.

The Drop 2 houses a battery over 3 times bigger, at 1000mAH along with a 3.7ml 1.0Ω pod and is slightly larger at 78mm x 52mm x 17mm.

So it’s fair to say everything has been put on steroids a little bit!

The device itself can also fire up to 14 watts, has a small on/off button on the side and also a 4-cell LED indicator.

There are 6 colour options to choose from: Sky Blue, The Scream, Black, Yellow Amber, Red Amber and Peacock Plume.

suorin drop 2 colours

So let’s crack on with the review and see what the Suorin Drop 2 is all about.

This kit was sent to me free of charge for the purpose of review.

All views and opinions are solely those of my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of others.

Design and Build Quality

Let’s get the obvious out the way. Yes – it looks like a rain drop, especially in this Sky-Blue colour. Which is very unusual but certainly eye catching.

Generally speaking, the faded blue finish is super reflective and a hell of a finger print magnet. Suorin claim “The In-Mould Labelling (IML) protects the device from scratches and keeps the colours vibrant.” I have to say, although I haven’t thrown this around the floor, it’s certainly still looking vibrant and scratch free after a fair few days of use.

Circling the main body of the Suorin Drop 2 is a polished chrome finish where you find a number of small airflow holes, a lanyard position along with 4 small LED indicators and an on/off button. Also at the base of the device is the USB-C port for charging and the Drop 2 can charge at a maximum of 1A from my testing.

When it comes to construction, the Drop 2 feels solidly built with no creaks when gripping and no wobble from internal parts. The frame is made from Zinc-Alloy and it feels like the 2 rounded panels are plastic to me.

The Drop 2 Pod

The Suorin Drop 2 Kit comes with just one pod, but it’s a 1.0Ω mesh coil which is non-replaceable within the pod.

It can hold 3.7ml of e-liquid in the Non-TPD version.

The pod itself is of PCTG construction and it’s a little on the tinted side, but not too dark so you can quite easily see your e-liquid level.

On either side of the pod is some information on the pod including its capacity, but unusually no information on the coil type or resistance.

At the base of the pod are a number of contacts and magnets along with a tiny square bung which has to be lifted up to fill the pod with e-liquid, it’s a little on the small side but fits nice and tightly into the pod.

The pod is connected to the device via magnets and clicks nicely into the device. Removing the pod is another story as the curved to a point mouthpiece shape means it can be a little slippy to grip and remove.

Suorin Drop 2 In the Hand

The Drop 2 is so small and oddly shaped that it can be held however you see fit. I tend to hold it in the same way I would hold a business card before I pass it to a customer, with all my fingers on the underside and my thumb on top.

With no firing button to worry about, there is no ‘correct way’ to hold this device. The auto-fire function is all you have and it works responsively and trustworthy.

The Drop 2 feels solid in the hand and very well made, maybe a little on the slippy side thanks to the glossy panels and polished frame. There is a nice weight to it thanks to the 1000mAh battery which really makes this feel fairly substantial for such a small system.

The finger print-ness of this device kind of bugs me though. Looking beautiful out of the box but after a minute, it’s blemished and I’m constantly having to wipe this device over.

How To Fill the Suorin Drop 2 Pod.

Here’s how to fill the pod with e-liquid:

  • Remove the pod from the device
  • Lift the rubber bung via the small flap
  • Fill with your desired e-liquid
  • Re-fit the rubber bung
  • Leave the pod to sit for 5 minutes to allow the e-liquid to saturate the coil.

Suorin Drop 2 Functions

The Suorin Drop 2 has very little to worry about when it comes to functions. The small button on the side of the device will allow you to turn it on and off with 5 clicks and you get a nice little dance from the 4 LED indicators when you do so.

The power button does not act as a fire button so this is purely an Auto-Draw system.

When charging the LED indicators will glow white and when fully charged all 4 LED’s will glow solid white.

How Does the Suorin Drop 2 Perform?

For the Suorin Drop 2 system, I went with a 20mg Nic Salt by IVG called Vanilla Biscuit. And it’s pretty much what it says on the tin. It’s also a 50VG 50PG mix.

If any of these terms are over your head – have a read of our handy guides below!

Suorin Drop 2 – 1.0Ω Pod

The device offers up to 14 watts worth of power, but with no option to adjust this, you’re stuck with whatever the device feels is best for the 1.0Ω coil.

How this device is set up, the vape is slightly warm and fairly intense.

I’d say the power output is about what I like from this style of system and the flavour is very good.

It reminds me in ways of the Suorin Ace pod system for flavour, very competitive with most simple pod systems on the market.

Airflow

With the Suorin Drop 2 not having an airflow adjustment method, you’re pretty much stuck with how it is, unless you decide to block up some of the airflow holes with sellotape or something.

But how it comes standard is just fine, the airflow is quiet and smooth and the draw is fairly tight. I suppose it’s similar to the majority of disposable devices we see on the market, if not a little tighter which for me, is better.

Battery Life & Charging

The 1000mAh internal battery offers excellent battery life. I’ve easily managed 2 days without having to pop this on charge and the 1A charge means it’ll charge within an hour.

My timer finished at 57 minutes however that could have been a few minutes less as when I was charging, I had to deal with the kids and forgot to keep an eye on it after minute 49. Oops.

Does the Suorin Drop 2 Leak?

Considering this is a bottom-filling system, I’ve been very impressed with the lack of leakage from this pod.

Sure if you don’t pop the rubber bung in tightly enough or you decide to blow into the pod, you may notice a build-up of condensation after a while. But generally speaking, this is a leak free system

Pros

  • Very good battery life
  • Decent flavour
  • A nice tight draw
  • Looks very unusual
  • Well constructed and feels solid
  • Decent charge time
  • Responsive Auto-Draw

Cons

  • Only one pod in the kit
  • Small filling bung at base of pod is fiddly
  • Pod can be slippy to remove at times
  • No airflow adjustment option
  • A massive fingerprint magnet

Final Review Verdict

The Suorin Drop 2 device is so small and simple it’s a little bit tricky to know what to say about it.

It’s small, simple and cute but performs like one of the best pod systems in this category and although the style won’t suit everyone, I’m sure there are some folks out there that would adore this unique water drop-shaped device.

Would this device be long lasting and still work 3, 6 or even 12 months from now?

Although I have concerns over the pod availability in the UK, I have no concerns over the device itself. The massive 1000mAh battery is plenty to last you a long time and even considering the deterioration of batteries, even a year down the line I imagine this will still hold at least a days worth of life.

Does this device deliver the flavour, vapour and general experience I require, in order to be enjoyed?

The lack of airflow adjustment may be a flaw to some, but personally I have had no issue with how the airflow is as standard. The coil performs excellently and offers very good flavour and a nice cloud to boot.

Is this device versatile to suit a new vaper and an experienced one alike?

I’d be very confident in recommending this device to a new vaper, especially due to its simplicity and just not looking like your regular pod system. Its unusual style makes it look more like a modern car key fob or a paperweight rather than an e-cigarette.

An experienced vaper may not be too interested in picking this up, unless they’re a bit fan of the style. But nonetheless, if they’re looking for a simple pod system for walking the dog or for a discreet vape, the Suorin Drop 2 would be well worth considering.

Have you bought the Suorin Drop 2 kit?

Suorin were making pod kits before anyone else with the Air and the Drop back in 2017 and continue with the Drop 2, Air Mod, Air Pro and Trio 85.

More Details On The Suorin SPCE Kit…

As mentioned above this is a pod kit but it seems to be packed with a lot more features than your basic kit!

suorin spce components

The two immediate stand out features are the two turn buttons – one controls the airflow and the other is a fire button / adjustment.

spce rotate

The fire button can be pressed to fire the device or make selections, plus you can rotate it to make adjustments. You can also lock the button completely to prevent accidental adjustments.

spce adjustment

A 0.63in OLED screen displays your vaping data and you can adjust the wattage from 5-40W.

spce screen

The top turn screw is the airflow adjustment so you can adjust the incoming airflow to your preference.

Inside the device is a 1500mAh battery which is charged in around 1.5 hours using the USB type C port at up to 1A charge rate. I haven’t seen a mention of a USB cable being included in the kit though.

spce battery

The pod will hold up to 3ml of your own e-liquid and is filled by a handy side fill port.

spce filling

You get 2 coils in the kit, both Mesh – 0.6ohm and 1ohm.

suorin air mod banner

So far we have had the original Suorin Air, followed by the Air Plus and recently the Air Pro, so what is different about the Air Mod?

What To Expect From The Suorin Air Mod…

Sadly this kit is not showing on the official Suorin website just yet – so I am sorry if there are a few details missing.

suorin air mod components

The styling is sort of recognisable as a Suorin air – with the pod being only 14mm thick – but this time the body is made from recycled PCTG and Zinc alloy to give a modern appearance.

suorin air mod design

Unlike the previous versions this has a 0.96in TFT display screen and also variable wattage control between 5-40W.

suorin air mod screen

Inside the device is the 1500mAh battery which recharges via the USB Type C port in 2 hours at a 1A charge rate.

suorin air mod battery

You can either use the fire button or the draw activation sensor mechanism to operate the mod.

There is a mention of airflow control but it is a bit difficult to make out how this operates on the marketing images.

This version has replaceable coils – there are two coil options to choose from and both are in the kit:

  • 0.6ohm Mesh (25-32W)
  • 0.8ohm Mesh (16-22W)
coils

The pod will hold up to 3ml (Standard) of your own e-liquid which is reduced to 2ml for TPD regulated areas. Apparently there is a side fill port on the pod but again this is not shown on the marketing images.

There are 8 colour options to choose from: Clear Silver, Clear Blue, Clear Green, Clear Red, Gunmetal, Black, Sunglow Red and Rainbow.

The Suorin Trident Kit is a new pod mod release from Suorin.

Suorin Trident

Suorin were making pod kits before they even became a big trend with the original range including the Suorin Air and Suorin Drop.

What To Expect From The Suorin Trident Kit?

As you can see the Trident is more of a modern intermediate pod kit with plenty of user features.

Suorin Trident components

This uses a removable battery – a 18650 in fact which as usual is not included in the kit.trident battery

A USB Type C port is provided which can charge at up to a 1A charge rate.

Output wise this has a Variable Wattage output from 5-85W, the Boost converter allows the higher output from a single battery.trident boost converter

Controlling the mod is the advance ORI chipset which boasts a super fast firing speed of 0.006 seconds.Suorin Trident speed

The mod also houses the airflow adjustment ring which you turn to adjust the incoming airflow to your preference. There is also a mention of an airflow control located in the coil – but I am unsure as to how this works or if it is adjustable independently?Suorin Trident airflow

A 0.96in colour TFT screen displays all of your vaping data.Suorin Trident screen

Now looking at the Trident pod – this has removable / replaceable coils and is refillable. However the filling port is not shown on the Suorin website so I am not sure whereabouts it actually lives!trident pod

In standard format the pod will hold up to 4.4ml capacity and has a clear view of your e-liquid. So far I have not seen a TPD compliant 2ml version mentioned?

This uses the TRI range of coils which are also compatible with the Trio 85 kit. There are 5 coils to choose from:

  • Single coil RBA (Available separately)
  • Triple Mesh 0.2ohm (65-75W) (Included in kit)
  • Single Mesh 0.2ohm (55-65W) (Available separately)
  • Single Mesh 0.4ohm (50-60W) (Included in kit)
  • Single Mesh 0.6ohm (28-38W) (Available separately)

  • Pods: Refillable, replaceable coil
  • Coils: TRI range including RBA

I have to say I love the looks of this kit, plus the range of coils including RBA look great!

So what does the Air Pro have to offer above the original models? Let’s have a closer look!

More Details On The Suorin Air Pro…

Firstly as you can see the slim “credit card” style design is still provided with a 930mAh internal battery (same as the Air Plus but larger than the original Air with its 500mAh battery).air pro styling

Worldwide Shipping – Save 10% With Code ECC

Charging has been updated with this version – it still uses a USB charger but also a dock (Pogo Charging) will be available in the future. Sadly the type of USB port is not mentioned but a 1A charge rate is stated.air pro pogo charging

The output is actually lower on the Pro version at 18W but I think this is down to the fact there is only one pod/coil option at present.air pro battery

An LED indicator is provided – but seems to only a single LED mounted on the fire button as opposed to the 5 LEDs which appeared on the Plus version.

Firing is achieved either through draw activation or by manually pressing the fire button.air pro firing

The pods are refillable but they appear to have fixed coils. Suorin state each pod can be refilled 6 times before the output drops. Bear in mind the cartridge capacity is 4.9ml in standard form. If this is marketed in TPD Regulated Areas this capacity will have to be reduced to 2ml.air pro pods

Inside the pod is a 1ohm Pro Mesh coil and Suorin promise more coil options will be available soon.

There are 11 colours to choose from: Ice Blue, Lively Green, Sunglow Gold, Lavender Purple, Rainbow, Silver, Black, Faded Skeleton, Gunmetal, Star-Spangled Red and Star-Spangled Blue.

coloursKit Includes

It is worth noting that it is not mentioned if the pod cartridge is included in the main kit?

  • Suorin Air Pro
  • USB Cable
  • User manual

  • 1A charging – port type not specified
  • Charging dock available soon
  • Pods: Refillable, fixed coil pods
  • Pod options: 1ohm Mesh
  • Auto draw or button activated

specsWith the original version being such a legend let’s hope the Pro version is worthy of continuing the “Air” branding.

suorin trio 85 banner

As you can see it is another pod mod in the style of the Voopoo Drag X / iJoy Jupiter

What To Expect From The Suorin Trio 85 Kit?

There are 2 main parts to this device – the main mod body and the pod – we will examine each in turn…

trio 85 components

The main body houses a 0.96in colour TFT display which displays all your settings and vaping data.trio 85 view

Output wise you can vary the wattage from 5-85W to suit the coil you have installed.trio 85 power

To power the device you will need a single 18650 battery which is not included. A USB Type C port is provided for charging in emergencies at a max 1A charge rate.

A new chip has been created – the Suorin ORI chip which also has a boost converter to provide a steady output.trio 85 chip

The pod is refillable with up to 5ml of your own e-liquid via the bottom fill port.trio 85 pod

You can also replace the coil – there are lots of coil options to choose from:trio 85 coils

  • TRI Triple Mesh – 0.2ohm
  • TRI RBA – build your own coil

On the base of the coil is the airflow adjustment ring.

  • Coil options: TRI coil range including RBA
  • Bottom pod fill port
  • Airflow adjustment on coil base
  • ORI chipset
  • Type C USB – 1A charge rate

trio 85 specsThis looks a handy little kit with plenty of coil options and even an RBA to play with. One thing I think that is missing is a 510 adaptor to allow the mod to be used with any atomiser.

The Suorin Ace Kit is a tiny little pod kit which should be a nice set up for new vapers.

It kind of reminds me of the Drag Nano / Lost Vape Prana styling wise…

What Is New On The Suorin Ace Kit?

So this kit is designed to be small but easy to use for beginners.

suorin ace components

For instance the pod is refillable but the coils are fixed. Ideal for those who are scared of or can’t be bothered faffing around with coil changes. Simply discard the pod and replace with a new one when the coil has past it’s best.

ace red

The pod is also compatible with the Suorin Shine – but the Ace pods have had a few upgrades…ace pod compatible

Suorin have redesigned the mouthpiece on the pod for the Ace, changed the airflow intake to the base of the pod and a few changes to improve the flow of e-liquid through the pod.

ace pods

There is only one pod option – which is a 1ohm resistance but the coil material or type is not stated.

The pod simply pops into the device body and to refill you simply add up to 2ml of e-liquid through the side port located on the pod.ace battery

Inside the body is an internal 1000mAh battery which is a really good capacity for the size of the device. You charge the battery via the USB Type C port at up to 1A charging rate.ace charging

A LED is provided on the fire button but the Suorin site does not mention if this displays the battery capacity remaining.

There are 12 colours to choose from: Prism Blue, Green, Diamond Blue, Red, Starry Sky, White, Woodland Camo, Urban Camo, Ocean Camo, Desert Camo, Black and Silver.

Kit Includes

  • Suorin Ace mod
  • Pod

  • Pods: Refillable, fixed coil
  • Coil options: 1ohm (Also Compatible with Suorin Shine Cartridges)
  • Side fill port
  • Type C USB – 1A charge rate (60mins for full charge)

ace specsI like the looks and battery capacity of this kit – be nice if the LED does inform of battery capacity remaining and I think a few more coil options would be good?
