Sigelei are well-known for box mod devices such as the Fog 213, Chronus 200W and the strange looking Top1 mod!

More Details On The Sigelei VPE Kit…

This is an “Extremely” simple starter pod kit – for instance the pods are disposable, you can refill them but you do not have to faff with coil changes etc.

There are 4 pod types to choose from – you get 2 included in the kit:

• 1.2ohm (red base) – included in kit
• 1.4ohm (black base)
• 0.6ohm (blue base) – included in kit
• 0.8ohm (green base)

The pod uses the “Pro-FOCS” flavour technology – which I have no idea about other than Uwell use this for their coils and they usually bang out the flavour! In fact the pods really remind me of the original Uwell Caliburn?

It will hold up to 2ml of your own e-liquid and the mouthpiece comes off to reveal the top fill port.

A liquid window is provided on the side of the mod to help you judge the liquid level.

The device itself has a 1000mAh internal battery which charges via the USB Type C port – but the charge rate or time is not stated.

Sigelei state the output is 8-20W – but I cannot see a way of adjusting this so I assume the device senses the coil installed and adjusts the output to suit.

An LED indicator is located on the base of the mod but I am not sure if this displays battery charge remaining or just lights up when you vape?

A draw activated sensor means you simply inhale on the mouthpiece and the device will fire.

There are 5 colours to choose from: Graphite, Silver, Pacific Blue, Gold and Black.

What Is New On The Sigelei Fog Stick?

As you can see this has large Pod Mod styling in contrast to the large dual battery 213 version.

Inside the mod is a 2000mAh battery which is charged via the USB Type C port at up to 2A charge rate.

A 0.42in OLED screen is mounted on the base to view all of your vaping data.

This has a Variable Wattage operation and you can adjust the output between 5 and 80W.

The body is made from Stainless Steel and leather which I have to say does look beautiful (apart from the horrid colour of the tank which spoils it!)

There are 2 user modes of MANU (which is where you can adjust the output yourself) or AUTO (which selects the correct output for the coil installed).

A magnet secures the pod onto the mod.

Looking at the pod now this has a bottom fill port but the capacity is not specified. However a glance at the 213 kit version the pod is stated as having a 5ml capacity.

The base of the pod features an adjustable airflow ring to control the incoming airflow to suit your preference.

There are 5 coil options to choose from:

What Is New On The Sigelei FOG 213 Kit?

So the “Legend” is back – the new 213 Fog mod is paired with the new “Fog” pod/tank which is also used in the Humvee 80 kit.

The vape mod is pretty similar design wise to its predecessors, with the offset screen and button layout.

You will need 2×18650 batteries to power the device which as usual are not included.

If you need to recharge on the go it is equipped with a USB Type C port which has “Flashtech supercharge” – the charging rate is not stated.

You get a variable wattage adjustment from 5-213W plus a “Smart mode” which apparently sets the power automatically to match the installed coil, plus if you simply remove the tank without changing the coil the previous power setting is remembered.

A colour 0.92in TFT screen located on the front displays all of your vaping data.

The Fog Tank/pod uses the FOG range of coils – there are 3 coils in the range:

• 0.15ohm Mesh (available separately)
• 0.2ohm Mesh (included in kit)
• 0.3ohm Mesh (included in kit)

The pod base houses an adjustable airflow ring and the fill port is located on the underside.

What To Expect From The Sigelei Humvee 80 Kit?

So as you can see the Humvee 80 has taken on a pod mod vibe.

In a similar fashion to the Drag X the pod fits inside the main body and the airflow control is located on the actual mod.

The mod uses a single 18650 battery and there is a “PNP Unidirectional” system – i.e. you can install the battery either way around and the mod will function.

If you need to charge the battery there is a USB Type C port which charges at a 2A rate.

Output wise this will output up to 80W in Variable Wattage mode, you also have bypass mode and a Smart mode (sets the power according to coil installed, and if you only remove the pod the device will remember the previous power setting).

Your vaping data is displayed on the 0.96in colour OLED screen.

The pod is held in magnetically and as mentioned above the adjustable airflow lever is located on the mod body.

This holds up to 5ml of your own e-liquid – (2ml in TPD regulated areas) and is refillable via the bottom refill port.

There are 3 mesh coil options – which are compatible with other tanks/pods in the “Fog” range:

Despite being named after a rugged Military Off-road vehicle – the Humvee doesn’t appear to follow in the Aegis trend of being water, dust and shock proof sadly. Or at least I have seen no mention of this.

Sigelei say the Humvee is made from Zinc Alloy, Aluminium Alloy and resin to be sturdy and solid.

The mod uses 2×18650 batteries which are not included and has a maximum power output of 215W.

You can choose from Variable Wattage, Temperature Control (Ni, SS, Ti), TCR or TFR user modes.

The screen is weirdly mounted on the side at an angle and it is an 0.66 inch OLED screen.

As I said above the design is very Aegis-esque with the soft grip area and metal shell.

There is a USB Type C port which apparently will allow you to recharge the batteries at 2.5A – but as usual is it recommended to use a separate charger to charge the batteries.

There are 4 colours to choose from: Space Grey, Red Rum, Camouflage Blue and Camouflage Khaki.

I don’t have had a great deal of experience with Sigelei although I do have a couple of their early mods in my collection, the Sigelei 100w+, Sigelei 150 and the Sigelei Mini 30w . Most of which never really floated my boat in the past!

What Can We Expect From the Sigelei Chronus Kit?

The Sigelei Chronus Kit is a 200w device. An interesting and elegant, if somewhat basic, budget dual battery vape mod that comes along with the Shikra Tank as a topper.To be honest this is one of those kits I would normally have overlooked, but my eyes kept being drawn to the sleek looking body with its strange little joystick and washing machine like screen.

So what do we really think of the Chronus kit? Let’s dive down and take a detailed look.

Design and Build Quality

The Kit comes presented nicely in a card box with a paper over sleeve, as you can see I have two kits Champagne and Onyx.

Shikra 2ml Tank

The tank is 24mm and made of stainless steel, aluminium, Pyrex and polished resin, the tank dismantles into 7 parts (including the coil) for easy cleaning.

Base and Coils, Airflow

The bottom of the base has all the normal info laser printed and a non adjustable gold plated connection pin. The 510 threading is well turned. The base features an aluminium airflow ring that has 2 cylon slots that are fully adjustable.

This tank uses the Sigelei MS coils, two of which are included in the kit. The two coils feature the following:

• MS-H coil (Pre-installed) is rated at 0.2Ω and recommended for use between 60W-120w. It utilises a Stainless Steel coil build.
• MS coil is rated at 0.25Ω for use between 40W-80W. Both coils are round wire builds.

Glass Tank and Coil cover

The kit comes with 2 Pyrex tanks that have a capacity of 2ml. There is a removeable coil cover and the coil can then screw directly into the top cap enabling you an extra 1ml of liquid. This works ok but I have noticed a bit of seepage from the AF.

Fill Port and Top Cap

The top cap is made of aluminium and has a child lock feature in the form of a spring “push down and unscrew”. Removing the cap (which is crunchy) will reveal the Fill Port which is made of SS and consists of one kidney shaped slot for liquid intake.

MouthPiece

There is only one Drip tip in the kit. This is made of a highly polished resin, the fitment is 510.

The Shikra tank is of fair quality, as for me, is the design. The manufacture is ok even if it feels a little on the cheap side.

Chronus Mod

Made of Zinc and Aluminium Alloy Construction the Chronus is one sexy looking little beast measuring in at 140mm high with a tank diameter of 26mm and weighing in at 152g without batteries installed.Taking a look around the body the mod you will note it has black highlights top and bottom, the top of the mod has a spring loaded gold plated pin, the connection plate is SS, the top of the mod is held by 4 hatch screws.The base of the device has a hinged battery door, with battery venting as well as the normal FC and CE marks.The door has battery marks inside that are very clear.With a plastic battery sled.When you close the door it does sit a little proud of the mounting nothing to worry about I thought it worth mentioning for the OCD crew amongst us. The 4 corners of the device are flat for a very comfortable feel in the hand.One side holds the fire button which is almost flush with the body the fire button has a plastic feel to it but is nice and clicky.The face of the mod has a round TFT colour screen. The five point joystick control operates most of the functions.There is also a micro USB point that is for charging only. All in all Sigelei have done a good job with this mod; the quality and design is good as is the manufacturing.

How Does The Sigelei Chronus Kit Perform?

For this review I have filled the Shikra tank with butterscotch custard from IVG e-liquids.

I will be using the pre installed 0.2Ω coil.

Basic Guide for setup and use of the kit

How To Fill The Sigelei Shikra Tank and Change The Coil

I would recommend you empty your tank before changing coils or you could make a mess.

1. Decide which coil you want to use, unscrew the tank base and replace the coil, don’t forget to pre wick the coil, screw the base back into position.

2. Push down on the top cap and unscrew, fill the tank through the kidney fill port with your bottle nose. I recommend angling your bottle or you might get some splash back.

3. Reassemble the tank and place it on your Chronus mod

Getting the mod up and running

1. Place 2 x 18650 batteries into the mod – noting battery orientation

2. To turn the device on and off hit the fire button 5 times

3. The first thing you will note about the Chronus is after the welcome screen you will be asked for a 4 numeral password! This will happen every time you change your batteries, you will find the basic code within the paperwork.

Menu System Basics

• Click the fire button 3 times to lock the joystick

• Pressing and holding the joystick will enter the system

• Mode – this is where you can set your wire preferences, press the joystick to enter and flick it up or down for; Ni, Ti, SS and User

• Set – to change the look of your screen 2 options
• Exit
• Set the Watts and TC with an up and down flick of the joystick
• Long flick right to check the resistance of your coil

• Short flick left for battery guide graphic

• Long flick left to choose puff strength

• Short flick right to change the screen brightness

Safety Protections

Five Protections are listed as –

• High wattage protection
• Low wattage protection
• Short protection
• High temperature protection
• Reverse battery protection

The device will recognise a non married pair of batteries.

Chronus 200w Mod

The Chronus supports an instant firing system of 0.001 seconds! This is great and works every time.

The joystick scroll function, while not the fastest, will scroll from 10w in 0.1 increments until 50w and then will scroll in 0.5 increments up to 100w then up to 200w in 1w increments.

Shikra Tank

I’ll say is straight up, I’m not a big fan of this tank.The volume of liquid is not enough for a sub ohm tank. Not the fault of Sigelei, that’s the TPD for you unfortunately.

Although, for a couple of quid this can be solved by replacing the glass tank! I managed to acquire the Sobra 5ml glass!

The highest I have taken the wattage with the pair is 110w the result was a lot of vapour, too much for my micro lungs lol but then flavour was weak so I got no enjoyment from it.

Heat Transfer

They say on the Sigelei website

“The newly-designed airflow channel effectively reduces heat by up to 50%! This allows the tank to stay cool during use”.

What a load of old horse hockey LOL. It does no such thing.

If my tests are to be believed chain vaping this tank at 80w results in a very hot tank and a lot of heat transfer to the mod! So much so I was unable to touch the tank with bare hands until it had cooled!

Flavour/Vapour

The flavour, while not stellar, was quite good at 50 to 60w as was the amount of vapour production. While not a big temp control user these days at 420f it works well enough with the supplied coil.

I tested my Hellvape Passage RDA with a 0.13Ω Kanthal coil on the Chronus. Chain vaping at 80w was no problem, in fact I regularly vape this RDA and mod at 100w without a problem.

Batteries

The Sigelei Chronus takes two 18650 batteries, I’ve been using Sony VTC 5a’s.

I used a pair of unmarried Sony VTC 4’s (my mistake) the unit recognised that the power difference between the pair was different and locked the mod until I changed batteries.

With VTC 5a’s I can expect up to 4hrs at 50 to 60w using the Shikra Tank.

Final Review Verdict

This kit is another case of good mod shame about the tank.

The only thing about the Sigelei Chronus Mod I hate is the password protection. Bit of a pain every time I go to change the batteries.

The tank is a non starter as far as I am concerned I’d much rather use another atomiser as I did with the Passage RDA.

This kit is the budget version of the limited edition Shikra Kit which includes updateable firmware, a clock and a few other bits not present with the Chronus kit. While not a lot of difference the quality of the Chronus feels far cheaper, you can feel this if both kits are side by side.

Would I buy the Sigelei Chronus kit again due to loss or damage? It’s a “YES” for the Chronus but a no for the Shikra Tank.

The Etiny Plus kit includes the new Etiny Plus Mod and the Etiny 2 tank.

Looking at the Etiny Plus Mod first this looks like a nice simple, small vape mod. There is a 800mAh internal battery so no faffing with removing batteries – simply plug into a USB outlet to charge.

You get a fire button plus 2 adjustment buttons – up and down – to select between the 3 power levels – High, Medium and Low.

You can buy the Etiny 2 tank in the full kit or it is for sale on its own – the package contents will vary.

To make life easier the Etiny tank has a push in / pull out coil design.

Also you get a wide range of airflow adjustment with 5 airflow inlets which you can expose to either fully open or half open and any adjustment in-between.

I have just written a preview for the iJoy Shogun JR kit – and like a lot of vape manufacturers there seems to be a market for mini internal battery versions of larger kits.

The Chronus Baby mod has the same Joystick control as the larger version and a 0.91in OLED screen. 

You can also set a PIN number to lock the mod from children or other people.

The mod will output up to 80W and you get the usual user modes of Variable Wattage, Variable Voltage, Temperature Control, Custom Curves and 5 memory spaces to store your own configurations.

The full kit included the Sigelei Shikra Tank Baby which looks to be pretty versatile in the coils it can use.

Apparently you can use the coils from the Snowwolf Wolf Mini Tank (WF Coils) and the Sigelei MS coil range used in the Sobra Mini tank. You get two coils included in the kit – but I am not sure which as one part says you get WF coils and further down the page it says you get MS Mesh coils…

There is also a lot of choice of tank glass you can use to customise the capacity – the Moonshot 120, Wolf tank and Sobra mini glasses seem to be compatible.

I’ve really been enjoying their products lately!

I had good fun researching the brand, especially since their ‘about’ page reads like a page from some sort of religious text. The founder of the brand claims divine inspiration for Sigelei as…after hearing 4 loud thunders while trying to come up with the name, he landed on Si ge lei, which actually means 4 thunders!!!! Fabulous.

I’m so excited about the vape mod I’m reviewing for you today, another hard hitting mod from Sigelei. Now, I’ve had the pleasure of vaping on a few items from them lately…including the Fuchai 213 Squonk Mod and the over the top Snowwolf V-feng but this mod is is no squonker, just a regular 230W mod that runs on dual 18650s and looks particularly good while doing it.

Build Quality & Design

I had the wrong idea about Sigelei’s first round screened mod. Having seen it numerous times in advertising, I’d somehow picked up the idea that it was a lightweight pile of plastic, with nought but a massive screen to make it look good.

On receiving the neat TIN package, I was shown what for as I lifted the heavy, solid and absolutely beautiful mod out of its snug seating.

Damn, is this mod ergonomically perfect…and truly beautiful.

Designed with a car theme in mind, the flattened-gear-shift shape is adorned with a massive 1.3” screen, framed in chrome on my black version but the finish depends on which colour you choose.

Below the screen is a little, elongated depression, containing + and – adjust buttons, one above the other, clicky and finished to match your screen frame, fire button and other trimmings.

Below the buttons is a micro USB port for charging and upgrade…although we always recommend you charge externally for your own safety and the safety of your mod.

The lower, narrower part of the ‘gear shift’ has carbon fibre grips either side which extend around the mod and onto the wider sides, so that they are visible no matter which way you look at the mod. These grip sections are also framed in that shiny metallic finish that depends on which colour you chose and damn…are they aesthetically pleasing.

When looking at the screen from the front, the grip pad on your left has a contoured section above it which serves as leverage for your thumb when holding the mod and firing with the forefinger. Turn the mod around and it’s leverage for your forefinger, while you fire with your thumb. It’s a small feature that some might barely notice but for me, it speaks of absolute genius in ergonomic design and I love it.

The grip pad on the side opposite has the thumbprint shaped fire button above it, also in the same metallic finish.

The mod is a matte finished, heavyweight zinc alloy, with the decorative framing on thin, metallic finished zinc alloy.

Back of Mod

The back of the mod is where the branding sits and it’s also quite spectacular looking. A huge shield, also with a metallic and matte 2 tone finish of its own which depends on the colour you chose. The shield is decorated with staggered stripes  and says both Top1 and Sigelei inside. It looks the bizznezzz.

On the base of the mod you’ll find 5 little battery ventilation holes on a hinged battery door which locks and unlocks with a satisfying but inaudible click.

On the inside of the battery door are clear markings and the chamber itself is snug, with prominent, gold plated connects.

The top of the mod has a nice centralized 510 seating in brushed SS, with a deep and springy, leakproof 510 connection. The top of the mod has a slight down-tapering edge and on either narrower side a small screw is visible.

The taper doesn’t, however, influence the mod’s ability to hold up to a 30mm RDA or tank with no overhang, thanks to the beautiful, centralized design.

With a couple of Samsung 2500 inserted, this mod weighs a hefty 286g so it’s not lightweight. Besides a fire button that is SO clicky it almost has a rattle, this mod is as solid as Jessica Biel’s bottom.

Its top-wide design and carbon fibre grip with thumb or forefinger leverage contouring makes it one of the most ergonomically pleasing mods I’ve held…with looks not far behind.

I have to say that pictures just don’t do this mod justice…it really feels like quality.

How Does The Sigelei Top 1 Perform?

I do really like the screen on this mod, I like the fact that I have 3 different layout options for the screen but would certainly have liked to see a few more colourful options.

Also…as cool as the Speedometer layout is, I feel that more info could have been included, such as Volts and readings for both batteries.

Dual battery reading is available, but on a separate screen, which seems unnecessary…unless of course, Sigelei were trying purposefully to keep it simple. If that’s the case, they succeeded.

I think the colourful clock that appears when you press a button on the powered down mod is an excellent touch, however…why not use this colour scheme in one of the GUI options.

I think the User Interface is super and the backgrounds really cool looking as well.

There is a slight delay on the screen, so no matter what you press, you’ll wait about 0.5 seconds for it to register on screen. This is, however, not true with the fire function.

Ramp Time

Beyond the superficial aspects of the Sigelei Top 1 mod, its ergonomic perfection and beautiful looks, it’s actually a Top performer too.

The 0.0008 second ramp time is noticeably better than a good many dual 18650 mods and I found the wattage performance to feel very much on point throughout the range of the device.

Having tested it on everything from a 0.8 to a 0.10 Ohm coil, I’m confident that this baby hits hard, just like she’s meant to…at least within the sub-ohm range.

I may have noticed a slight shyness, when hitting wattages above 160.

Preheat functions are effective…I particularly like the Hard setting and find this takes care of any shyness that the mod might have when hitting low resistances in the upper wattage ranges.

I find that the mod’s new coil and resistance readings are very sensitive and accurate.

Temperature Control

As far as the TC modes go…you cannot adjust wattage in TC mode, which is somewhat frustrating.

I like the fact that you can still see your wattage on the speedometer when in TC node but…why can’t I scroll the screen and adjust the wattage? Grrrrr.

I’ve read one or two reports of the performance being ‘muted’ in TC modes on the Top 1 but in my experience, this is not the case.

I think the chip performs a charm and temperature readings feel true. I tested on SS316 and Ni200 and had no issues or ‘muted’ vaping experiences whatsoever.

I actually have a tendency to use this mod in Temp Control mode more than I usually do as I find the TC performance really great and I get a solid and satisfying high temp vape on this, yum.

I did have one instance, when I turned the mod on at one point, of the screen saying ‘Update’ and just not letting me do a damn thing. There were no updates available…I eventually had to take the batteries out and reinsert, after which all was well.

This is odd and, I guess, a little worrying.

Battery Life

You’d think that a big, bright colour screen like this would suck the life out of your batteries but that’s just not the case. I get a good 8-9 hours vaping, at an average of 70W on a 0.15 Ohm coil with 2 x Samsung 2500s. I’m happy with that!

Final Review Verdict

When I saw this mod in pictures, it looked somewhat tacky to me but on receiving it in 3D, I realized that I couldn’t have been more wrong. This mod truly does have flawless, if very unique aesthetics. Moreover, it has one of the most comfortable handfeels I’ve felt in ages, whether you are firing left or right handed, with your thumb or forefinger.

The screen is phenomenally bright and the interface intuitive. Ramp time is outstanding and, in my experience, performance is good throughout the range and in TC mode. I recommend the Sigelei Top 1 for mid wattage vapers (50-120W) who are after something with reliable features and a tight handfeel and aesthetic.

And..

Would I buy the Sigelei Top 1 if I lost/broke the device? I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on the wild looking rainbow option, whether or not I lose this one.
