The Oumier Wasp range mainly consists of RDA’s (Wasp Nano S RDA, Wasp King RDA, Wasp Nano RDA Pro), RTA’s (Wasp Nano RTA, Wasp Nano RTA V2, Wasp Nano RTA Max) and there has also been a Squonk mod and a pod kit version!

What To Expect From The Oumier Wasp Nano RDA Plus…

Well the Oumier website is not exactly a “hive” (so sorry – I couldn’t help myself) of information – so I will tell you what I do know!

Down to basics, this is a 24mm diameter RDA with an “Easy Build” 4 post dual coil deck.

Airflow wise this is adjustable by rotating the barrel to open or close the side airflow inlets. There are many options including holes, slots and a stepped larger slot.

There are two sets of airflow inlets on either side of the barrel so should allow air to hit the coils from all directions.

This comes with a solid 510 pin installed to use this as a dripper. However the kit also includes a hollow BF (Bottom Feed) Squonk pin, so you can change it over to use on a squonk mod.

Apart from e-liquid, the kit contents mean you can get started straight away as it contains a screwdriver, cotton and 2X 0.28ohm coils.

The Oumier Wasp branding has been applied to many different vape products from the Wasp Nano RTA, RDA, Stick mod and even a Squonk kit!

More Details On The Oumier Wasp Nano Pod…

Sadly the Oumier website is not exactly encyclopaedic when it comes to details on their products – so there might be some vague info here!

But the basics are – the device has a 950mAh internal battery and the USB Type C port will allow charging at up to 1A charge rate.

The output is not specified but there are mentions of “adjustable power”. As this has no screen I assume you can select different power levels, but with no downloadable user manual and little info on the website I can’t be sure.

On the side of the device is an adjustable airflow slider to tailor the incoming air flow to your preference.

A series of LED indicators are located on the front along with the “power button”. The specifications state “auto power” so I am not sure if this means auto draw activation or whether the device will adjust its own power.

Also “LED light tips” are listed in the specifications – I have no idea what that means!

The pods are refillable with up to 2ml of your own e-liquid via the side fill port.

Inside the pod is the fixed coil, so you don’t have the hassle of changing the coil – you simply dispose of the pod component when performance has decreased.

You get two different pod resistances included in the kit – 0.6ohm and 1ohm.

This takes the format of a traditional RDA with some nice extra features.

Basically the deck is designed for Single Coil builds with easy to use double clamps. The excess coil leg can be easily trimmed with the coil installed.

The side of the deck features multiple slot airflow outlets to surround the coil with the incoming air.

These outlets then align with the airflow cap adjustment system.

By rotating the cap you can choose from combinations of slots and honeycomb hole arrangements which give different airflow speeds and directions.

Plus you can close or open the amount of incoming air to suit the restriction you prefer.

The kit even includes a coil and cotton to get you started.

A Bottom Feed (BF) Hollow 510 pin is included so you can use the RDA on Squonk mods.

The drip tip is an 810 fitting so this can easily be changed – especially as you get a spare in the kit too!

What To Expect From The Oumier Wasp Nano RTA-Max?

Well as the name implies this is a RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomiser) which is designed for single or dual wire coil builds.

As the tank has a 26mm diameter there should be plenty of room on the build deck!

This is a postless deck with 4 securing clamps and channels for the wicking to pass through.

A 4ml straight glass is supplied but you can also swap this for the 5ml bubble glass also included in the kit.

Filling is easy – simply unscrew the top cap to access the fill ports.

The airflow inlets are around the same height as the coils and have a stepped adjustment.

There are 4 colours to choose from: SS, Black, Rainbow and Gold.

The original Wasp Nano RDA was a success and this enabled the creation of the Wasp Nano RDTA, Wasp Nano Squonk Kit, Wasp Nano RTA, Wasp Nano RTA V2 and the MTL RTA version.

What Is New For The Oumier Wasp Nano RDA V2?

This to me looks very similar to the original Wasp Nano but with a few sneaky little tweaks!

The first main update is the ability to use either a single or dual wire coil build in here.

The original Wasp Nano was a single coil setup only but this version has two different top caps to allow single or dual coil builds. Both caps are included in the kit!

Also the deck design is very different from the original with 4 posts to allow for up to 2 coils.

The airflow has been updated to 4 airflow inlet slots – one pair each side – I am not sure if this is still adjustable? I would imagine rotating the top cap should open / close the airflow slots as required.

Following the tradition this is able to function as a standard Dripper RDA or if you install the included Bottom Feed hollow 510 pin you can also use this as a squonker.

There are 6 colours to choose from: Black, Gold, Stainless Steel, Blue, Red and Green.

A versatile single coil 24mm RDA along with an intriguing airflow system, this RDA also allows for two different styles of coil.

Oumier was founded in 2013 and is based in Shenzhen, China.

They have bought us many products over the years like the lightweight 222w Flash VT-1, Wasp Nano Squonk kit or the Rudder 200W Mod, but certainly most people associate Oumier with rebuildable atomizers like Wasp Nano RDTA, Wasp Nano RTA, Wasp Nano MTL RTA, Wasp Nano RDA and with other RDA’s like the Armadillo RDA.

So What Can We Expect From the Oumier Wasp King RDA?

I keep saying and will always say I love using RDA’s for the sheer quality of vapour and flavour they can produce, add in DIY coils makes the use of RDA’s cost effectiveness a no brainer!

The Wasp King RDA is the latest in the series of “Wasp” toppers from Oumier, we could treat this one loosely as an update to their Wasp Nano RDA.

Oumier promise this RDA is something special! It has a swirl adjustable airflow and dual slotted airflow control to allow for fine tuning.

The RDA takes advantage of either wire coils or mesh strips, the Wasp King is also compatible for squonking with the included BF Pin.

Oumier have released the Wasp King RDA in 3 colours, Silver, Gold and Black.

This RDA was sent to me for the purpose of review.

As always my thoughts and views are my own after an extensive testing period.

Design and Build Quality

I’m impressed with the high manufacturing quality of the Oumier Wasp King RDA, it is made completely from quality Stainless Steel and topped off with a delrin 810 mouth piece.

The Wasp King RDA is presented in a card box with a paper over sleeve; the kit comes with a generous amount of extras.

Oumier Wasp King RDA – Overview

Measuring in at approx 35mm tall, and with a diameter of 24mm, the Wasp King RDA is preinstalled with a black delrin 810 wide bore mouthpiece.

The Wasp King dismantles into 4 parts; the 510 connection pin is replaceable with the BF pin should you wish to use this RDA on a squonk mod.

The base posts are removable from the liquid well for easy cleaning.

Oumier Wasp King RDA – Component Parts

From the top, the preinstalled black 810 delrin mouthpiece has a 15mm bore tapering to around 10mm.

The airflow ring/cap has a lined striation decoration on the upper part it has a flat top with an embedded O-ring to hold the 510 mouthpiece in place

The body of the airflow ring has 4 slot airflow holes on each side that are angled to the right; the body has an O-ring that has been embedded to insure smooth operation within the barrel.

Inside the airflow ring/cap it has a beveled dome effect so that any stray liquid will drop back down to the coils.

Oumier Wasp King RDA – Barrel

The external airflow comprises of 2 wide slots, one on each side of the barrel.

And has been printed twice with “Wasp King”, these are located off centre to the airflow slots.

The barrel simply slips over the base/build deck, and has a shallow rail inside to stop the deck from slipping in too far.

Oumeir Wasp King RDA – Base/Build Deck

On at the bottom of the base you will see all the usual information.

This RDA comes preinstalled with a gold plated 510 connection pin, which can be swapped out for the bottom fed squonk pin.

The connection threading has been turned well and the pin sticks out just enough to be used with a hybrid connection.

Looking at the sides of the deck you will see a single screw on each side that operates the wire slots, along with 2 embedded O-rings for the barrel to slip over.

The posts themselves are chunky blocks with a single wire slot/clamp within each; at each end of the posts you will see the bf squonk inlet valves.

The top of the block posts include the internal airflow that protrude proudly from the deck, the airflow has 3 large holes on each block.

Looking at the build deck, the juice well looks to be fairly deep, however the posts take up a lot of space, and as a guess I would say the liquid capacity is only about 1ml.

The design of the Wasp King RDA is good, in fact this is a very easy RDA to dismantle for maintenance.

How Does the Oumier Wasp King RDA Perform?

Is it gonna cause a sting or a buzz? Let’s find out…

For this review I am taking a step back to 2019, and using this RDA with my Oumier Flash VT-1, with the round wire coil included with the kit.

Later I’ll change out the BF Pin for use with my Wotofo Profile Squonk Mod, for use with a mesh build.

The e-liquid I will use in both is a new liquid to me from KwikVape “Bread & Butter Pudding”, catch-up at the end of the review for my opinion on it!

How to prepare the Oumier Wasp King RDA for use!

Building for either dripper or squonk RDAs are basically the same… just switch pins for squonking.

Round wire build

• Make your coil in the normal way or use the one that come with the kit.
• Pulse and strum the coil.
• Load your cotton into the coil – comb trim and tuck the cotton into the deck!
• Dampen the coil and cotton with liquid.

Mesh Build

In the extras baggy is a metal rod for bending your mesh, use this and slot the mesh into the wire slots then follow my guide above.

Reassemble the Wasp King RDA, and enjoy on a mod of your choice.

Oumier the Wasp King RDA in use

Building the Wasp King RDA is extremely easy, however be careful with the post screws they have springs under them and it’s easy to lose them, as they spring away just like they did with me the first time I put a build in lol.

In the main I have been using the fused 0.34Ω coil that came with the kit, I have no idea what metal the coil is made from as this is not given, but as I have had no adverse reaction I would suggest it is Kanthal.

Oumier the Wasp King RDA as a standard RDA

I have been using wattage around 40 to 65w as a direct to lung vape depending on my mood.

I have to say this is a very airy RDA, which sadly doesn’t fit my style, I prefer a much more restricted airflow.

Even with the airflow turned down to its lowest setting its still to airy for me.

Talking of the airflow it’s quite noisy, however I was still able to get very decent clouds of vapour, while the flavour production is OK but not what I would call stellar.

What did annoy me with this RDA was having to re wet the cotton every few puffs!

Use on a squonk mod 30 to 55w

For me this is where the Oumier Wasp King RDA comes into its own, with the 0.15Ω mesh strips, while still an airy draw, the flavour was a wee bit better the extra amount of cotton used allowed me more draws before re squonking!

I’ve only had one leak with the Wasp King RDA in squonk mode and this was down to over exuberance on my part lol.

KV Bread and Butter Pudding, cooked up in collaboration with Riot Squad, it has a delicious taste of raisins with a hint of cinnamon/nutmeg layered in bread and butter, after putting my nic shot in I left the bottle too steep for a couple of days, the liquid turned a most wonderful amber colour and was much stronger than my initial taste test, really bringing out the flavour of a truly classic dessert!

Final Review Verdict

In the time I have been using this RDA, it has given me fair flavour with excellent vapour quality, while the airflow is noisy and very airy, I can live with those 2 points because of the amount of vapour produced.

The deck is easy to build upon but do take care with the spring loaded post screws!

I personally prefer to use the Wasp King as a squonk RDA with mesh strips, the extra cotton used allows for more soakage and therefore more toots per squonk!

Would I recommend the Oumier the Wasp King RDA?

Yes I would, to those with experience with building, it’s a nice little RDA that gives good coverage of clouds with a fair flavour quality!

Would I buy this RDA again due loss or damage?

No not really, while I like the whole over presentation of the Wasp King I prefer a tighter vape than this RDA can supply me.

Oumier is a relatively small player in the world of vaping, founded in 2013 it tends to stick to just a few different models at a time.

The Wasp Nano range has been quite a winner for them.

We’ve reviewed the RDTA and the RTA, both of which scored perfect 10’s! So there’s some big expectations going into this.

What Can We Expect From the Oumier Wasp Nano Stick?

If you’ve ever seen a Wasp Nano RDA, then you know pretty much what to expect at the top of this kit.

The Oumier Wasp Nano Stick is a single coil dripper, with a plastic top cap.

What’s more unusual is that Oumier has married this to a rechargeable battery to make an AIO – I’m honestly not sure I’ve ever seen a dripper/AIO like this before!

Not only that, but it has some pretty loud graphics, and if that’s not enough to get you noticed, the whole thing lights up like a glow stick as well.

Definitely an interesting one! Is it all flash and no substance though? Only one way to find out!

Design and Build Quality

The Oumier Wasp Nano Stick comes in three colours: Gold, Stainless Steel, and Black (which I received)

As you can see, the different colours also mean you get a different design on the main tube. Either a tiger (I think?) a flaming skull, or the word “Stick” (which rather oddly has a pencil on it as well…)

It cycles through several colours when vaping, lighting up the whole of the tube.

Very edgy…

Oumier Wasp Nano Stick Body

The main tube of the body is 24mm, it’s made out of a clear plastic, with an internal white plastic that will be housing the battery.

This combination of clear on the outside, with black printing, and an internal white tube, helps everything “light up” when you’re vaping.

The base has your expected regulatory marks, the name of the device, and a small battery venting hole.

Moving to the top of the tube there’s a metal collar with some decoration. On one side of this is your fire button, and on the reverse is your USB C charge port.

Interestingly you can see that although the tube is 24mm, the dripper itself looks to be 22mm (like the wasp RDA that it is based on) so there’s a bit of a shoulder at the top.

Oumier Wasp Nano Stick Controls

Although the fire button looks to be all of a piece, it actually has two transparent windows at the top for the fire button LED to shine through.

This is used to communicate the status of your battery.

• Green – 70%+
• Blue – 30-70%
• Red – 30%-
• Flashing Red x5 – Low battery

However it also pulls double duty as a way of being able to adjust your output.

Press the fire button three times when it’s on and the light will flash to tell you which mode it’s in.

• Green – 3.9-4.2V
• Blue – 3.6-3.9V,
• Red – 3.3-3.6V

Finally you can switch on/off the device with a standard 5x press of the fire button, and happily you can disable the “breathing” LEDs by a 4x press.

Oumier Wasp Nano Stick the Dripper

Anyone that has played with a Wasp Nano RDA will instantly know what to expect with this.

It’s a single coil deck with side airflow, two flat head screws hold the legs of your coil in place, and you have plenty of room to trim them.

Over the top of the deck you place the top cap which is also your drip tip.

And you rotate that to line up with the airflow slots that are positioned level with your coil.

Sadly it doesn’t have a 510 as the whole kit is one piece, despite the fact it looks like they just took a Nano RDA and stuck it on the top.

Building the Oumier Wasp Nano Stick

• Unscrew the deck screws with a flat headed screwdriver

• Place your coil and tighten down the screws to hold it in place

• Snip the ends of the legs, you’ve got plenty of space to do this, but also it’s not vital to have them cut super close as it has a plastic top cap

• Straighten your coil with a screwdriver or coiling rod

• Feed your wick through the coil

• And trim the tails so it will rest in the top

• Place your wick tails into the top of the deck

• And prime it with e-liquid

• Then just replace your top cap, and you’re good to go!

How Does the Oumier Wasp Nano Stick Perform?

I’ve been using the Nano Stick for a few weeks now, and it’s an unusual bit of kit.

You have limited control over it’s power (3 options) so you should know your Ohms Law to make sure you build a coil that suits you.

It’s also really disconcerting building on a device where you can’t check the wattage before putting power through it.

Although it’s not nearly as worrying as doing this on a mech mod might be (due to low resistance protection) it still feels a bit weird!

First things first, I absolutely loathe the light show this thing puts on!

I don’t mind mods that light up so much, but when they’re cycling through colours whilst you’re vaping it just seems unnecessary.

Happily you can turn this off with an easy 4x press of the firing button!

Oumier Wasp Nano Stick Flavour

Flavour from this RDA is really strong and punchy, if you’ve ever used a Wasp Nano RDA you know what to expect.

Personally I feel like this shines with strong simple flavours, I tried out some more delicate and complicated creations I had made with Dripper Labs, and whilst it was OK, it didn’t seem to have much separation of the flavours.

By contrast, using a liquid like Green Energy by Fizzle, and it smacked you round the face with a great flavour.

Airflow and Cloud Production

There’s plenty of airflow on this little thing.

The really wide bore mouthpiece means there’s plenty of room, and fully open it’s an 8.5 on the 1 to 10 scale, where 1 is fully closed and 10 is fully open.

Closing it down and you can make it considerably more restrictive. I found there was a little boost to flavour once you began to close it down, but not my much.

It’s quite a noisy airflow, the plastic cap I think is amplifying this! But very smooth and little turbulence.

Pros

• Easy to build
• Great flavour
• Tried and tested RDA

Cons

• Stuck with the tube for the life of the device
• Flashing light (though you can switch them off)

Final Review Verdict

So that was the Wasp Nano Stick from Oumier!

It’s a really interesting one, because the top of it is tried and tested as the Nano RDA, and just like it’s other iterations it delivers on the goods.

I’m less convinced by the idea of sticking it on top of a semi regulated tube, and making it so that it’s all one piece.

I’d be able to recommend this a lot more highly if it had a normal 510 and you could move on from the tube in the future.

As it is, you’ve got a cracking little RDA, permanently attached to a tube that has some control. Probably not enough for people that prefer a regulated mod, and not as simple as something like a mechanical (or even semi-mech).

I also can’t quite get over my natural dislike of building on something where I can’t check the resistance of my coil first.

I know that I’m not like to have any accidents due to the regulation, and whilst I feel like I’m a decent enough builder who can hit the resistance I aim for fairly accurately, I do like to know what resistance my coil is.

I’m honestly not sure what type of person this is targeted at?

The Wasp range have been very popular – the original Wasp Nano RDA was a teeny little flavour chucker which was followed by the Wasp Nano RDTA, Wasp Nano Squonk Kit and the Wasp Nano MTL RTA.

What Is New About The Oumier Wasp Nano RTA V2?

I will mainly look at what is new for the V2 compared to the original.

For a start the diameter has increased from 23mm to 24mm which should give a bit more room on the single coil build deck.

The original deck had only 2 clamps, whereas the V2 has 4 clamps so it can accommodate clockwise or anti-clockwise wound coils.

The capacity with the straight glass is the same at 2ml but there is also a bubble glass to take this up to 3.8ml.

Another noticeable change is the drip tip – this was originally part of the top cap – but on the V2 this is a standard 810 fitment and is replaceable.

As with the original the airflow is on the tank base and is adjustable with 3 airflow inlets.

Filling is taken care of by removing the screw off top cap to access the fill ports.

There are plenty of supplies in the kit to get you up and running quickly with 2x 0.28ohm Fused coils and even the cotton to wick it with!

There are 4 colours to choose from: Stainless Steel, Black, Rainbow and Gold.

Other Oumier box mods include the Rudder and the VT-1 but they are better known for atomisers such as the Wasp Nano S and the Bulk RTA.

What To Expect From The Oumier Blade 200W Box Mod…

The main reason why this mod is clumsy-proof is all the protections built into the design.

It is apparently Waterproof, Dustproof and Shock-resistant so should be able to handle everyday life.

Another great feature is the lovely 1.3in colour screen which has touch controls and is integrated into the front of the device.

It is powered using 2×18650 batteries which are of course not included and a USB Type C port is included for emergency charging.

The output is 5-200W / 0.1-8.4V plus you have plenty of user modes to play with including Variable Wattage, Bypass, Temperature Control, TCR and VPC (which I assume is a type of Custom Curve mode).

The main mod body is made from Zinc Alloy and has a curved shape for a more comfortable grip.

Recently the brand released the Voocean 40 kit – the 80 version is its big brother!

What To Expect From The Oumier Voocean 80 Kit?

I know you are sighing with “pod mod fatigue” but this one is definitely worth a look.

At the mod end of things the power is provided by a removable 18650 battery which is not included.

You can charge in an emergency with the Micro USB port at a 1A charging rate.

The output is variable between 5-80W and your vaping data is displayed on the screen but sadly the screen size and type is not stated.

At the top of the mod is the magnetic pod connector – which connects to the supplied pod (stating the obvious huh!).

But this also can function as a standard 510 connector using the supplied adaptor to allow any atomiser to be connected to the mod. Therefore this is a pod kit and a box mod all in one!

Looking now at the pod – this is removable and refillable via the bottom fill port.

The coils are replaceable and 2 coils are included in the kit – these are also compatible with the Voocean 40 kit…

You can adjust the incoming airflow by rotating the pod.
