I would like to introduce you to the newest member of the “Feelin” gang – the Nevoks Feelin AR.

feelin ar main imageI have previously reviewed the Nevoks Feelin X, Feelin A1, Feelin AX and Feelin 2 pod kits.

Nevoks were created in 2019 in Shenzhen China.

Thank you to Nevoks for sending over two of the Feelin AR kits and the full range of replaceable pods for review! I will report back honestly on the devices in my possession.

What To Expect From The Nevoks Feelin AR Pod Kit…

The first thing that catches my eye about this kit is the price! At most vendors this is around the same price as 3x disposable vapes (600 puff ones)!

Therefore this kit has more of a “budget” vibe with only 1 pod included but you do get a USB cable!

feelin ar banner

This kit is based on the Feelin A1 kit and uses the same pods.

feelin ar pods

There 4 resistance options of pods to choose from: 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm.

They come with a 3ml capacity as standard and a side fill port, but there are also the 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm top filling 2ml TPD compliant pods as well.

feelin a1 filling styles

The Nevoks Feelin AR kit includes 1x 0.8ohm pod.

Inside the device body is a 1000mAh battery which is charged using the USB Type C port at a 1A charge rate. Nevoks state this will take around 85 minutes.

feelin ar battery

The output is specified as 9-30W and the device will automatically adjust the output to suit the pod installed.

feelin ar features

To make life even more simple this has auto draw firing – so no fiddling about with buttons!

feelin ar draw activated

An LED indicator is provided to display battery charge and device status – we will discuss this further in the Quick Start section.

On the side of the device an airflow adjustment slider is provided to tailor the incoming airflow to your preference.

Nevoks Feelin AR Design and Build Quality

I received the Charcoal Black and Burgundy Red versions.

Feelin AR black red

The box is nice and compact. You open it and pull out the blown plastic tray. Be careful as the paperwork and USB cable are tucked underneath the tray. You will find the device with pod in the top of the tray.

Feelin AR packaging

The instructions are great and massive. You will see one side in the image below, the other side is also in English too so everything is covered.

Feelin AR instructions

I spotted a few errors between the instruction manual and specs on the website. We contacted Nevoks who have sent us corrections. I will be using the updated specs in this review.

There is a downloadable instruction manual for those who prefer to zoom in – click here.

A handy card is included which displays all of the compatible Feelin A1 pods and the suggested power level and nicotine strength for each.

Nevoks Feelin AR Mod

The body colour looks like a brushed metallic finish, but when you actually hold the device it has a rubbery, soft texture! You genuinely would think it was metal!

Feelin AR design front

It is quite a basic design with the front having a slight channel in the middle where the LED indicator and “Nevoks” logo lives.

Feelin AR branding front

The LED indicator is a bit small in proportion to the rest of the mod but it is plenty bright enough.

Feelin AR led indicator light

On the right side of the device you will find the airflow adjustment slider. This has a “rubbery” feel when you slide it. So it isn’t exactly stiff just feels like there is a restriction there. This is a good thing as it stops the blumming airflow adjusting on its own.

Feelin AR airflow side

On the opposite side is the USB type C port which works fine and I have had no issues. It is a bit difficult to charge it standing upright but you could of course prop it against something.Feelin AR usb side

The rear is plain apart from the “Feelin AR” logo etched in. This etching has a shiny finish in contrast to the brushed finish.Feelin AR rear branding

The base is made of a hard Black textured plastic and the legal logos and battery capacity are etched in.

Feelin AR base

We have a very deep pod compartment here, so if you do get any leaks or want to clean the contacts you will need a Cotton Bud / Q-Tip as you won’t be able to reach with just some tissue.

Inside the compartment are 2 spring loaded electrical contacts and 2 magnets. The magnetic pull is strong and if you insert a pod half way the magnets will pull it fully in. But it is not a struggle to remove the pod either so Nevoks have exactly the right balance.

feelin ar pod compartment

One slight down point is that there is limited view of the e-liquid level.

Feelin AR eliquid view
Left = 3ml pod, Right = 2ml pod

On the fully clear 3ml pods around 1/2 of the pod is concealed. With the 2ml pods, there is only a small window to view the e-liquid level due to the Black mouthpiece and the rest of the pod hiding in the mod.

feelin ar pod concealed
The arrows show the area concealed by the mod with the 3ml pod

I have to say the build quality is the best I have seen from Nevoks to date!

Nevoks A1 Pod

The pod is exactly the same as the Nevoks Feelin A1 kit – so I have copied and pasted this part of the review!Feelin AR pod types

I was sent both types of pods – side fill 3ml pods and top fill 2ml pods in all 4 available resistances.

Side Fill 3ml Pod

This for me was the best design. The whole pod is a tinted colour and the top half is perfectly clear. The bottom half has a slight frosting which is a shame.

feeling a1 3ml side view

Even so the e-liquid level is clear to see. However when installed on the mod you will only be able to see half of the pod. Meaning when the e-liquid level has dropped below this point you will have to keep removing the pod to check it.

feeling a1 3ml pod filled

I love the mouthpiece it is wide but slim in thickness and quite square, but extremely comfortable in use.

feeling a1 3ml mouthpiece

On one side the resistance and “Nevoks A1” is clearly marked and both sides have a “min” level line etched in.

feeling a1 3ml front view

The fill port is covered by a Silicone cover with the lift side marked with an arrow and a small indent to allow you to insert a nail to lift the cover.

feeling a1 3ml fill port

The fill port is an oval shape and roughly 5mm by 3.5ml and it was fine for my 30ml and 60ml bottles.

On the base you will find the required legal logos etched in, plus the 4 airflow inlets, 2 electrical contacts and 2 strong magnets.

feeling a1 3ml pod base

Top Fill 2ml Pod

This pod is for us poor buggers in the TPD regulated areas as it will only hold 2ml.

feelin a1 2ml front view

It is the same height as the 3ml pod which surprised me.

feelin a1 2ml v 3ml
Left = 3ml pod, Right = 2ml Pod

This time the top half of the pod is covered by the Black plastic removable mouthpiece. It is not as difficult to remove as some top fill pods I have tried but it does take a bit of budging.

I suggest snapping it off by gripping the pod and mouthpiece. I have added a video in the filling section.

Below that you will find a Silicone lift up cover with an arrow and a cut out to lift with a finger nail.

feelin a1 2ml pod topfeelin a1 2ml port cover

You can then swing the cover out of the way to access the port.

feelin a1 2ml fill port

As with the side fill pod, this has an oval fill port measuring roughly 3.5ml by 5ml and it performed fine with my e-liquid bottles.

With the fill port cover lifted you can also access the vapour outlet path – which should not be used to add e-liquid as this will cause spitting and flooding.

feelin a1 2ml filling

The rest of the pod is the same as the side fill, with the slightly frosted bottom half, the same printing and base.feelin a1 2ml base

The capacity is reduced as the pod does not continue behind the mouthpiece – it has a flat top. This also means the e-liquid level view is reduced too.

feelin a1 2ml mouthpiece removed

Quick Start Guide

The device arrives with the 0.8ohm pod installed.

However there is an isolation sticker on the base of the pod to prevent the mod firing until the pod is full of e-liquid. If you fire the device with an empty pod installed it will damage the pod and render it scrap! Very important to take note of this when you only have 1 pod in the kit.Feelin AR pod isolator sticker

So you will need to fill the pod with e-liquid, remove the isolator sticker and get vaping! I will cover the process below!

feelin ar components updated

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off = This has no on/off function
  • Vaping = Simply inhale on the mouthpiece to trigger the auto draw activation.
  • Battery indicator = When vaping the LED indicator will light up and the colour denotes the battery charge remaining: Green = 60-100%, Blue = 30-60% and Red = less than 30%.feelin ar led indicator
  • Battery indicator when charging = When you first plug in the charger the LED will flash once from Red, Blue to Green. Then the LED indicator will pulse to display the battery charge progress. Red = 0-30%, Blue – 30-70%, Green = 70-90% and a solid Green light = 90-100%. When fully charged the LED will turn off.
  • Airflow = Slide the airflow slider up and down.

Protections

  • No Atomiser / Resistance too high: If there is no pod installed, an open circuit or the coil resistance is too high – the LED will flash White 5 times and device will stop working. Clean all the pod and device contacts. If not rectified try a new pod. If the fault continues the device may be defective.
  • Low Battery: When the battery voltage drops below 3.3V the Red LED flashes 10 times. The device will shut down and needs to be charged to continue vaping.
  • Short circuit: If there is a short circuit the White LED will stay on for 5 seconds and the device will stop working. Clean all the pod and device contacts. If not rectified try a new pod. If the fault continues the device may be defective.
  • Over time protection: If you inhale for longer than 10 seconds the LED will flash Red 5 times and the fire will cut out. Simply inhale again to continue. This is to prevent accidental firing which could lead to damage or overheating.

How To Charge The Battery

The charging rate is specified as 1A.

  • Using a USB type C cable, connect the small end into the USB port on the mod.Feelin AR charging
  • Connect the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
  • The LED indicator displays the charging progress and turns off when fully charged.

Nevoks state this will take around 85 minutes to charge.

I found this to take around 95 minutes when I charged it so the estimated time is 10 minutes short.

How To Fill the Pod

There are 2 pod styles – the top fill and side fill so I will cover the filling methods for both.

If using a new pod leave to stand for 5-10 minutes after first fill to allow the coil to saturate with e-liquid.

Make sure to fill when the e-liquid level is above the minimum marking on the side of the pod.

Top Fill

  • Push on the mouthpiece to get it to click off. I have recorded how I do it below (excuse my dodgy hands!)
  • Lift up the port cover in the direction of the arrow.feelin a1 2ml port cover
  • Add e-liquid to the oval shaped port. Do not add e-liquid to the centre port as this will cause flooding and spitting.feelin a1 2ml filling
  • Watch the e-liquid level through the side of the pod.feelin a1 2ml e-liquid
  • Replace the fill port cover firmly.
  • Replace the mouthpiece until it clicks.

Side Fill

  • Remove the pod from the mod.
  • Tip the pod on its side and lift up the fill port cover in the direction of the arrow.feeling a1 3ml fill port
  • Rotate the cover out of the way if needed.
  • Add e-liquid to the fill port watching the level through the side of the pod.feeling a1 3ml filling

How Does the Nevoks Feelin AR Perform?

I used my 50% PG / 50% VG Bubblegum e-liquid with 6mg nicotine salt. I mix this myself from the IVG concentrate.

Nevoks recommend an e-liquid ratio of 40%VG up to 60%VG for the pods.

The included tips card also shows the recommended power settings and nicotine strengths for each pod.

The kit does only include the 0.8ohm pod. I have reviewed the rest of the pod range in the Nevoks Feelin A1 kit review but I will pass comment on how they perform in this kit. The pods not included in the kit will not be scored they are for reference only.

If any of these terms are over your head – have a read of our handy guides below!

0.8ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

I really love this pod and for some reason it seems to perform even better with the Feelin AR kit than some of the other devices in the range?

The output power is perfectly matched to the pod.

It doesn’t get too hot whilst also being nice and warm to make sure your flavour shines through.

This really is in harmony with the mod.

I would compare the flavour from this pod to some of the more modern Uwell Caliburn kits – it is that good!

The performance is only slightly below my favourite OXVA Xlim pods – but it is only very marginal!

0.6ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

This is a lovely pod and the Feelin AR seems to have selected the perfect power output for it.

This has a bit more “fierceness” than the 0.8ohm and you can feel the increase in warmth and vapour. A really lovely vape.

0.4ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

For this pod I thought I would change things a bit and use a thicker e-liquid designed for this type of resistance.

So I used the Choppa Vapes Blue Slush e-liquid which has a 64% VG and 36% PG ratio. I have added no nicotine to this.

You can feel how much more powerful the vape is with this pod.

Nevoks recommend between 25-30W for this and I would say the device has selected the sweet spot at around the higher power limit of 30W.

The flavour is banging and nice and warm to bring out more of the finer details of my Blue Slush. Especially the sweet syrupy notes!

A good quantity of vapour is produced too!

Airflow

To help rate how restricted the airflow is, I use a scale – where 0 = fully closed, no airflow up to 10 = breathing fresh air.

The 0.8ohm pod I would say is about 2 when fully closed – you can still get a tight MTL vape but it doesn’t fully close down. Fully open I would say this is around 4 which is bordering on RDL territory.

However the airflow seems to change depending on the pod installed.

For instance, the 0.6ohm and 0.4ohm pods ranged from 2.5 to 4.5 – catering for MTL and RDL vaping.

But the 1.2ohm pod has a much tighter airflow range from 1 to 3.5.

Mod Performance

I have experienced no issues at all in use.

It fires up super quickly with the automatic draw activation!

The power output is pretty consistent until the last 5 or 6 vapes where you can feel the output becoming weaker. But this is pretty normal.

The mod automatically adjusts the output to suit the pod installed and every time it felt spot on. I tried all 4 resistance options of pods and the mod selected the perfect output to get the best flavour.

My only minor whines are that it does take ages to charge. I love the fact it has a great 1000mAh battery, but charging at only 1A means this takes over 1.5 hours to fully charge.

Leaks

Not a dribble!

Battery Life

This is always a variable and will depend on the pod installed, output level selected and your own vaping habits.

Also worth noting that I had the 3ml pod capacity and I am a heavy vaper.

I got around 7-8 hours (roughly 3 refills) with the 0.8ohm pod.

Pros

  • Bargain price – equivalent to 2 or 3 disposable vapes!
  • Great battery capacity – 1000mAh
  • Excellent flavour from the included 0.8ohm pod
  • Simple device which is perfect for beginners – especially with the side fill pod
  • Lovely soft texture to the mod
  • Excellent build quality
  • No leaks or malfunctions
  • Mod selects perfect output automatically
  • 4 different pod resistances to choose from
  • Great airflow adjustment

Cons

  • Only one pod included in the kit – but the price is very low to reflect this
  • E-liquid view is impeded – only half the 3ml pod visible (only 1/4 with the 2ml pod)
  • LED indicator is small but quite bright
  • Top fill pod is a bit awkward to open (but I do suffer with my hand joints)
  • Slow to charge – could do with being a 2A charge rate

Nevoks Feelin AR Final Review Verdict

I have tried many models in the Feelin range and they have been good but never quite reached the level of excellent.

However I’m feel-in (sorry – not sorry) that this version is pretty bloody excellent!

Nevoks have kept improving with each device and they are so close to perfection now!

I have had no quality issues and the flavour from the included 0.8ohm pod is wonderful!

The battery life is perfect and operation wise it ticks all the boxes.

If you are looking for simplicity and great flavour this is well worth adding to your shopping list.

Sadly the ease of use does drop slightly with the 2ml top fill pods which can be awkward to open – but I do have dodgy hands so might be my fault.

I have a few minor niggles such as the slow 1A charging and most of the pod is concealed in the mod so e-liquid view is impeded.

Nevoks state it will charge in 85 minutes, but for me each charge was around 95 minutes – so their estimate is about 10 minutes short.

One other moan could be the fact there is only 1 pod included in the kit – but when you see the price you can totally excuse this. Personally I would rather sacrifice having a USB C cable and have an extra pod instead.

The performance for me with the 0.8ohm pod is comparable to a Uwell Caliburn, at a lot lower price.

I wish great quality kits were this inexpensive when I first started vaping!

Nevoks Feelin AX Design and Build Quality

I received the Pearl White and Aurora Red versions.

On the Pearl White version the body is all White which in some lighting looks a bit metallic.

The Aurora Red has a two tone metallic gradient finish – starting at Red and moving down towards a dark Maroon at the base.feelin ax red finish

On the front and rear are the “Nevoks” and “Feelin AX” logos – printed in Grey on the White kit and a lighter colour on the Red one.

With the screen facing you, the left side features the Airflow Adjustment slider. This is slightly stiff but not difficult to move. This is a bonus as I think it is safe to say it is unlikely to move on its own!

There are 2 magnets and 2 electrical connectors in the depths of this compartment and the pod is held in well with no rattles.

The device is only slightly bigger than my OXVA Xlim Pro yet has 150% the battery capacity at 1500mAh compared to the OXVA at 1000mAh. This means you get a lot more vapes per charge.

The Feelin AX weights 57g (empty) and the Xlim Pro is actually 66g with a smaller battery! So Nevoks have really nailed the design to enable a bigger battery without chunking the device up!

  • Battery indicator = The screen will display the battery charge remaining.
  • Battery indicator when charging = The screen will display the battery charge progress and turn off when fully charged.
  • Airflow = Slide the airflow slider up and down. Up = more restricted airflow, down = less airflow restriction.

    feelin ax airflow slider
Left = fully closed, Right = fully open
  • Adjust output = With the device switched on press the fire button 3 times and the wattage value will flash. Press the fire button to increase the output by 1W at a time. Or you can hold down the button to cycle through the output levels quicker. Once you have reached 30W the next press will return to 5W. When you have reached the desired output leave the device and it will return to the home screen.
  • Lock the button = Press the fire button 4 times to lock or unlock the fire button. When the fire button is locked you can still use the auto draw firing. You can still turn the device off and enter the wattage adjustment mode. A padlock symbol on the display indicates if the button is locked or unlocked.
  • Reset = To reset the device (I assume this means puff counter too?) turn the device off. Press the button 3 times and the screen will show the firmware version for 10 seconds.
  • “Measure” = When you insert a pod the screen will display “Measure” whilst it reads the coil resistance. The output available is matched to the pod – i.e. 5-25W for the 0.6ohm pod and 5-18W for the 0.8ohm pod. This is to prevent the output being set too high and burning the coil out.

Protections

  • No Atomiser / Resistance too high: If there is no pod installed, an open circuit or the coil resistance is above 3.5ohm the screen will display “No Atomiser”. Clean all the pod and device contacts. If not rectified try a new pod. If the fault continues the device may be defective.
  • Low Battery: When the battery voltage drops below 3.3V the screen will display “Low Volt”. After the third time of this warning the device will shut down and needs to be charged to continue vaping.
  • Short circuit: If there is a short circuit or the coil resistance is below 0.25ohm the screen will display “Shorted”. Clean all the pod and device contacts. If not rectified try a new pod. If the fault continues the device may be defective.
  • Over time protection: If you inhale or hold down the fire button for longer than 10 seconds the screen will display “Time Out” and the fire will cut out. Simply inhale or press the fire button again to continue. This is to prevent accidental firing which could lead to damage or overheating.
  • Overheat protection: If the control board reaches 85°C the screen will display “Too Hot”. Wait for the device to cool before using.

How To Charge The Battery

The charging rate is specified as 2A.

This does have “pass through” charging – meaning you can vape on it whilst charging.

  • Using a USB type C cable, connect the small end into the USB port on the mod.feelin ax charging
  • Connect the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
  • The screen will display the charging progress and turn off when fully charged.

I found this to take around 45 minutes to charge from empty. Nevoks state it will take 60 minutes to charge on the instructions so this is a rare occasion where a vape manufacturer is actually being humble! However the website states 30 minute charge time to 80% capacity.

How Does the Nevoks Feelin AX Perform?

I used my 50% PG / 50% VG Bubblegum e-liquid with 6mg nicotine salt. I mix this myself from the IVG concentrate.

Nevoks recommend an e-liquid ratio of 40%VG up to 60%VG for the 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm pods. If you are using the 1.2ohm pod the ratio recommended is 30-70% VG.

The included tips card also shows the recommended power settings and nicotine strengths for each pod.

If any of these terms are over your head – have a read of our handy guides below!

0.8ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

The recommended power limits for this pod are 13-16W.

I am very impressed with this pod. I started at 16W as this is what I usually use my OXVA Xlim 0.8ohm pods at.

However the vape was slightly dry so I dropped down to 15W.

I have to say the flavour is really good – not up there with an OXVA Xlim or Uwell Caliburn, but a very close competitor!

My Bubblegum e-liquid is giving the flavour I love and just dropping the 1W means the slightly dry cotton taste has disappeared!

Very impressive!

After 10 refills the flavour is still going strong!

0.6ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

The recommended power limits for this pod are 17-22W.

I ran this at 21W which gave me the best flavour and warmth for my own vaping preference.

It was quite unimpressive for the first pod full (3ml) however suddenly the flavour really perked up and I found myself enjoying this a lot.

The Bubblegum is coming through in a bright and clear way and it is very succulent in this pod.

At 21W this is warm but not hot, so you can get a good long inhale plus you get a good quantity of vapour!

So persevere with this pod – the first 3ml was not great, but it soon wakes up and makes you smile!

Airflow

To help rate how restricted the airflow is, I use a scale – where 0 = fully closed, no airflow up to 10 = breathing fresh air.

For the 0.6ohm pod this ranged from 1 fully closed up to around 7 when fully open so quite a wide range of adjustment. Which is excellent as this pod is on the boundary of being MTL, DTL and RDL!

The 0.8ohm pod was 1.5 when airflow fully closed – you could still get an MTL vape as there is a small airflow hole. It is not as tight as some kits which have no airflow in the minimum setting – in fact the 0.6ohm pod has tighter airflow when fully closed which is odd! When fully open I would rate this around 5 – so it is possible for a good MTL (not the tightest) and a good RDL inhale!

Mod Performance

In general the output of the mod is very consistent and feels accurate.

There is a slight drop in power when the battery indicator is only showing 1 bar left. This is pretty normal and you often experience this with vape devices.

Leaks

Not a drop. Very happy!

Battery Life

This is always a variable and will depend on the pod installed, output level selected and your own vaping habits.

Also worth noting that I had the 3ml pod capacity.

With the 0.6ohm pod I got 7-8 hours (260 puffs) at 21W. This equated to around 3-4 refills per charge

I got around 10-11 hours (roughly 500 puffs and 4-5 refills) with the 0.8ohm pod at 15W. Epic battery life!

Pros

  • Draw and button fire provided – sometimes over time the auto draw firing can fail on a device so it is great to have the back up of a fire button.
  • Both pods give great flavour!
  • A great range of pods to suit all vaping styles
  • Large range of airflow adjustment from MTL to RDL
  • Feels nice and smooth in the hand
  • I love the 1500mAh battery capacity – great battery life!
  • Only 45 minutes to charge
  • Lockable fire button means less chance of accidental activation
  • Variable wattage – means you can experiment with power levels and different pod resistances
  • No leaks at all

Cons

  • Can only see half of the pod when installed on the mod – so you have to keep removing the pod to check e-liquid level.

Nevoks Feelin AX Final Review Verdict

This little kit did impress me.

Firstly the large battery capacity means you will be vaping longer between charges. And even if you need a charge – it only takes 45 minutes.

The performance is great too – both pods chucked out some lovely flavour. With the 0.8ohm pod in particular, it was also economical on battery and e-liquid usage.

Design lost a point due to the fact you can’t see the e-liquid level when the pod is below half full. You have to keep removing the pod or tipping the device upside down to see how much e-liquid is left.

Usually I would rate a kit on “Value for money” but sadly at the time of writing the price is not showing on any vendor websites – so I cannot judge that.

If you are an RDL or MTL vaper you should be very happy with the airflow and pod performance.

I wouldn’t replace my OXVA Xlim or Caliburn Kits with the Nevoks Feelin AX, but it would be 3rd in line! Considering how amazing the other two are – this is a strong competitor and a real step up for Nevoks to be in that category!

I have reviewed the Feelin A1 and Feelin 2 which were decent kits but slightly missed the mark. However the Feelin AX kit is a huge improvement.

Well done Nevoks – you are evolving and improving with every kit!

What To Expect From The Nevoks Feelin 2 Pod Kit…

As the name suggests this is an update to the original Feelin kit.

feelin 2 components

The first update is to the battery capacity, it is now 1100mAh compared to the original which only had 1000mAh. When it comes to charging it is now 2A compared to the slightly slower 1.5A of the first version. Both are USB Type C though!

feelin 2 battery

The output has been increased from 22W (max) to 30W (max) for the V2. You have 3 power levels to choose from and the actual output for each level will depend on the coil installed.

feelin 2 output

Talking of coils, this uses the same coils as the original – the SP10 mesh coils. They are also compatible with the Feelin X, Pagee, Feelin C1 and the Feelin Mini.

feelin 2 sp-10 coils

You get the 0.8ohm and 0.6ohm coils included in the kit, but you can also purchase the 0.4ohm or 1ohm coils separately.

Featuring a side fill port the pod will hold up to 3ml of your own e-liquid. There is a 2ml version mentioned for TPD regulated areas too.

feelin 2 design

You also get an airflow adjustment slider plus this will operate as a button fire (manual) or auto draw firing device.

To view your power levels, charge status and any fault conditions a multi-colour RGB LED is provided.

There are 6 colour options to choose from: Ice Green, Midnight Black, Royal Purple, Misty Grey, Punch Pink and Crimson Red.

Nevoks Feelin 2 Design and Build Quality

I received the Crimson Red and Royal Purple kits in the 3ml versions.

feelin 2 box both colours

To unbox you will need something to cut the shrink wrap plastic, there is no pull tab to open it. The outer box sleeve is a lovely design with a textured holographic stripey finish.

feelin 2 box design

Then you slide the inner box from the outer sleeve. On the top you get a small envelope which holds the great instructions and a really handy card which guides you on coil types and airflow settings.

Nevoks feelin 2 instructions

The device sits in a plastic tray which you lift up to reveal another box.

feelin 2 packaging

Inside this box you will find both coils, the Lanyard and a USB cable which really isn’t long enough to be of much use.

feelin 2 usb cable

On the box there is a scratch off verification panel. You input the code that is revealed into the box on the bottom of the page on the Nevoks website here. This will tell you if you have an authentic version of the kit.

The Lanyard is great, but it is a bit of a puzzle as to where to position the band on the mod. Wherever you position it, it is covering something! Obviously you want to avoid the fire button and airflow inlet!

feelin 2 lanyard

Nevoks Feelin 2 Mod

The device design is a kind of hybrid between the original Feelin and the Feelin X.

Nevoks Feelin kits

This is a bar shaped mod with a beautiful matte metallic spray finish which catches the light in a very pretty way.

The Royal Purple kit has a lovely fading paint effect, starting with a light Lilac colour at the base and increasing in intensity to a darker Purple at the top of the mod.

Nevoks feelin 2 finish

The Crimson Red version is just one solid colour but still has the lovely metallic spray effect.

On the front of the mod you will find the fire button which is slightly concave and has a “Record Groove” style texture. It is nice and clicky and because it does not protrude from the body of the device it should be difficult to accidentally activate in a bag or pocket etc.

Nevoks feelin 2 front view

Below that is a vertical strip RGB LED indicator. This is split in half – although you won’t see this until it lights up.

Nevoks feelin 2 led indicator colours

The top half displays the charge status and the bottom half displays the power level selected. I really like this! It is not immediately obvious for instance when you have a full battery and the high power level selected as both halves are Green. But if you change the power level or the charge drops you will see both colours blend into each other which is a lovely effect.

Below the indicator the Nevoks text is printed in a dark Grey colour.

feelin2 front branding

The rear is completely plain apart from the “Feelin 2” text printed in the same colour as the Nevoks logo on the front.

Nevoks feelin 2 rear view

On the base are 2 screw heads, “Made in China” and the required legal logos. All the printing is crisp and clear.Nevoks feelin 2 bottom view

Looking at the left side of the device you will find the airflow adjustment slider. This only protrudes around 1mm from the device body so should not catch on bags or pockets.

Nevoks feelin 2 airflow adjuster
Airflow adjustment – Left = fully closed, Right = fully open

The first slide of this is very stiff, but after that it moves smoothly but there is quite a bit of restriction, which should prevent accidental adjustment.

On the opposite side is the USB Type C port, above this is the text “5V 2A” to let you know the charging specifications. The port is nicely recessed which should help prevent it getting damaged.

Nevoks feelin 2 usb port

It will stand up vertically easily, but you may find it is wobbly when charging as the USB port is quite high up.

Inside the pod compartment you will find 4 – yes 4 – magnets, this ensures the pod stays connected firmly and you only need to insert it around half of the way into the mod before the magnets snap it into position. Even with 4 magnets it is still easy to pull out.

Nevoks feelin 2 pod compartment

You will also see 2 spring loaded Gold coloured electrical connectors and the airflow sensor tube.

It is an excellent design and I think the two tone paintwork version looks really amazing.

Nevoks Feelin 2 Pod

The most noticeable thing about this pod is the mouthpiece, it is actually made from a Rubber like material, which does feel strange. But because this material is wrapped around a hard plastic it does not collapse or squash.

feelin2 mouthpiece

It does feel strange on the lips at first but is still miles better than a metal mouthpiece (one of my pet hates)! You get used to it quickly and I sometimes wonder if all pods should have this feature!

The mouthpiece covers around a third of the pod, with the top section in Rubbery stuff and the lower part just plain gloss Black plastic. This does mean you cannot see the e-liquid level in the mouthpiece area.

feelin2 pod views

The other 2/3rds of the pod are clear, but the bottom third is a frosted finish.

A small portion of the clear section of the pod is visible when it is in the mod which works OK, but at lower e-liquid levels you might need to move or tip the device to see the level.

On the one side of the frosted area the pod details are printed on in a kind of Beige text. It has the “Feelin 2” logo, minimum e-liquid level marking and the required legal logos.

feelin2 pod front view

Inside the base of the pod is where the coil lives. It is a push in and pull out coil design and the coil seals well. There is a bit of resistance to pulling the coil out due to the O-ring, but this shows the O-ring is doing its job.

feelin 2 coil removed

Also on the base are 4 magnets which mate with the ones in the mod.

A side fill port is provided and you get a chunky fill port cover. There is a slight cut out to help you wedge a nail under the edge with the arrow and small tab to open it.

feelin2 fill port

Once open you will see the 5×3.5mm oval fill port. This works well – there is plenty of space around the e-liquid bottle nozzle to allow air to escape.

Unfortunately it is so difficult to identify the coils. The writing on the tiny coils is so small you can hardly see it. Yes there is a colour coding to the O-rings (Red = 0.6ohm or 1ohm and Blue = 0.4ohm or 0.8ohm). This is not too much of an issue if you only have the included kit coils as there is one of each colour. But if you purchase any of the other coil options you could end up confused. It would be good if Nevoks could print or etch the resistance on to the coil base?

Quick Start Guide

The device arrives with no coil installed. So you can choose your coil, fill with e-liquid and get vaping! Never fear I will guide you through the process below!

Basic Operation

The LED is split in half – the top section shows the battery charge remaining and the bottom half displays the power level selected.

  • Power On/Off = Press the fire button 5 times to turn on and off.
  • Vaping = Hold down the fire button to vape or simply inhale on the mouthpiece to trigger the auto draw activation.
  • Battery indicator (top half of LED) = The LED will show Green for 60-100% charge remaining, Blue for 30-60% and Red for 0-30%. If you vape for longer than 2.5 seconds the LED will enter the multi-colour display sequence.
  • Battery indicator when charging = The LED will cycle through the above colours and turn off when fully charged.
  • Airflow = Slide the airflow slider up and down.
  • Adjust output = Press the fire button 3 times. Every time you press the fire button 3 times the bottom half of the LED will change colour to indicate the mode selected – Green (high – 3.5-3.6V), Blue (medium 3.4V) and Red (low 3.2V). When you are satisfied with the level displayed leave the device and it will go back into standby mode. The video below shows me adjusting the output.
  • Auto Button lock = if the device is not used for 1 minute the button lock will automatically kick in. To continue vaping simply inhale on the mouthpiece. This will unlock the fire button. When the lock is on you can still use the auto-draw inhale.

Protections

  • No Atomiser / Resistance too high: If the resistance is over 3.5ohm or there is an open circuit the LED will flash White for 15 seconds. Check the pod is installed correctly, clean contacts or replace with a new pod.
  • Low Battery: If the battery voltage is below 3.3V the Red LED will flash 15 times and the device will stop working until it is recharged.
  • Short circuit: If the resistance is less than 0.25ohm or there is a short circuit, the LED indicator will light up White for 5 seconds. Check the pod is installed correctly, clean contacts or replace with a new pod.
  • Over time protection: If vaping for longer than 10 seconds the fire will cut out and the White LED will flash 5 times. Restart vaping as usual.
  • Overheat protection: If the circuit board is hotter than 85°C the White LED will flash 3 times and the device will not work until it has cooled down.
  • Pod installed: White LED will flash.

How To Charge The Battery

The charging rate is specified as 2A.

This does have “pass through” charging – meaning you can vape on it whilst charging.

  • Using a USB type C cable, connect the small end into the USB port on the mod.Nevoks feelin 2 on charge
  • Connect the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
  • The LED will cycle through the colours and turn off when fully charged.

I found this to take around 45 to 50 minutes to charge from empty.

How To Fill the Pod

If using a new pod leave to stand for 5-10 minutes after first fill to allow the coil to saturate with e-liquid.

  • Remove the pod from the mod.
  • Tip the pod on its side and lift up the fill port cover in the direction of the arrow.feelin2 fill port
  • Rotate the cover out of the way if needed.
  • Add e-liquid to the fill port watching the level through the side of the pod.feelin2 filling
  • Replace the fill port cover firmly.

How To Install / Replace Coil

I would recommend emptying the pod before changing the coil. If this is not possible make sure to have plenty of absorbent material around to soak up the e-liquid which will escape when you remove the coil.

  • Remove the pod from the mod.
  • Tip the pod upside down.
  • If a coil is already installed, use a fingernail to prise it out from the pod base. There will be a slight resistance – do not worry – this is the sealing O-rings doing their job!feelin 2 prise out coil
  • Pull the coil out from the pod.feelin 2 coil removed
  • Push a new coil into the pod base and make sure to push it firmly so it is fully sealed.feelin 2 coil installed
  • Fill the pod and leave to stand for 5-10 minutes.

How Does the Nevoks Feelin 2 Perform?

As there are different styles of pod included in the kit, I will choose different types of e-liquid to suit.

The power settings for each coil resistance are different, I will include the power level options with each coil – they are also summarised on the graphic below.

feelin 2 power levels

If any of these terms used in the review are over your head – have a read of our handy guides below!

0.8ohm Nevoks SP-10 Coil

The power outputs for this coil are..

  • Low = 14W
  • Medium = 15W
  • High = 16W

Take 1

This was the first coil I tried – and it didn’t go well.

I found even in the highest power setting the flavour was poor and there was a very “cottony” taste. I decided to persevere as sometimes flavour improves during the first pod fill.

Anyway it actually deteriorated to the point of dry hits before I even emptied the pod and I could not carry on testing that coil. It is weird as I am using 50/50 e-liquid which should be plenty thin enough and I left the pod filled for several days before I started vaping.

Take 2

I have plenty of spare 0.8ohm coils so I tried another and this time only set it to the medium power level.

This time within about 4 or 5 vapes the vapour was much tastier and I got the sweetness from my Bubblegum. This coil was from a pack that were supplied separately to the device. The faulty coil that burnt out was one that came with the kit – so is there a quality issue with the kit coil?

The vapour production is immense, thicker clouds than you would expect for this power output, coil resistance and 50/50 e-liquid!

I found I used this coil with the airflow set in the mid position for the best flavour.

I am very impressed indeed!

After 7 refills (3ml each) there is still no drop in performance.

0.6ohm Nevoks SP-10 Coil

The power outputs for this coil are..

  • Low = 18W
  • Medium = 19W
  • High = 20W

On the low power level this was a bit “meh” but upping the power to the medium setting did wake up the flavour a bit.

I did find the highest power setting still felt under-powered, I believe another Watt or two would make this coil shine.

The Nevoks website recommends between 18 and 25W for this coil and our Neil C enjoyed this in the Feelin X kit at 22W.

Sadly the highest output in the Feelin 2 for this coil is only 20W – hence why it feels so under-powered. Therefore the power limits are preventing this coil from reaching its optimum which is a huge shame. Considering the kit can output up to 30W this really should be easily fixed by Nevoks.

This means that the performance is really only average, it is not terrible, but it is lacking flavour and warmth. You do get plenty of vapour though!

I did only manage 4 refills of this (3ml each) and the flavour did not improve during this time unfortunately.

Additional Coils

As I was also sent the 0.4ohm and 1ohm coils I thought I would add how they performed.

I will not be adding these to the scores at the end as these are just optional extras!

0.4ohm Nevoks SP-10 Coil

The power outputs for this coil are..

  • Low = 25W
  • Medium = 27W
  • High = 29W

I used a different e-liquid for this coil as it is a lower resistance than you would usually use for MTL vaping. Therefore I decided the Ruthless Energy Drank Shortfill which is 70% VG and 30% PG with no nicotine added would be worth a bash.

These coils are very small so I have been a bit concerned as to whether this thicker e-liquid will be able to wick properly. There is only 1 way to find out!

I would suggest leaving this to stand for a good 5-10 minutes after filling before vaping as this e-liquid is thicker and will need longer to absorb into the cotton in the coil.

This coil is a very nice surprise, even at the lowest power level the flavour is banging!

At the medium power level the warmth ramps up and so does the amount of vapour!

On the highest power level the sweetness really starts to sing and this kicks out more clouds than you would expect.

I would give this coil 10/10 and the power settings of the mod match it perfectly.

1ohm Nevoks SP-10 Coil

The power outputs for this coil are..

  • Low = 11W
  • Medium = 12W
  • High = 13W

I used my normal 50/50 Bubblegum e-liquid with this coil (same as the 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm).

If you use higher nicotine strengths (10mg+) and find the 0.8ohm coil is still a bit harsh then the 1ohm coil should be the answer.

This will be quite a low output but it is designed to allow for stronger nicotine e-liquid without making your throat hurt!

On the lowest power setting, there is a bit of vapour, the vape is very cool and not much flavour. Moving up to medium power means things get slightly warmer and a bit more vapour.

On the highest power setting things have improved and this is a very mellow and smooth vape. It is not punchy enough in flavour for me, but it is ideal for higher nicotine vapers.

This performs better with the airflow more restricted.

Airflow

To rate how restricted the airflow is, I use a scale – where 0 = fully closed, no airflow – up to 10 = breathing fresh air.

For the 0.8ohm coil – with the airflow adjustment fully closed it is around 1, it’s virtually shut off but there is just enough to get the device to auto draw fire. With the airflow adjustment fully open this is very airy indeed – I would rate it around a 5.5. So this should be suitable for MTL and RDL vapers. However the auto draw is not very reliable with the airflow fully open.

Using the 0.6ohm coil with the airflow fully closed it was around 1 on the airflow scale again. But the fully open airflow setting was slightly less restricted at about a 6.5. So this coil is still great for MTL vapers and should also keep RDL vapers happy too!

Mod Performance

The auto draw can be very stuttery with the airflow open above half way – it can stop and start whilst inhaling.

Plus with the airflow fully open the device does not always fire, or it is a bit unreliable. This was more of an issue with the 0.8ohm coil than the 0.6ohm. I tried both coils in both devices and the auto draw was the same.

When the battery indicator turns Red I have found the vape to be quite weak, but this is pretty common on most kits.

Leaks

No leaks at all, but there was a slight misting of condensation around the sides of the pod. Nothing serious though!

Battery Life

This is always a variable and will depend on the pod installed, output level selected and your own vaping habits.

With the 0.8ohm coil on the medium power level (Blue) I got 5.5 to 7.5 hours of vaping.

I used the 0.6ohm coil on the high power level (Green) and I got around 5 to 6 hours.

Pros

  • Love the LED indicator – very clever!
  • The Rubbery mouthpiece is weird at first but it is so comfortable when you get used to it
  • Device feels sturdy
  • Great looking mod, the two tone paintwork is stunning
  • Auto lock function on fire button prevents accidental firing when in bag or pocket
  • Included coils are suitable for MTL and RDL vapers due to the wide range of airflow adjustment
  • Comfortable in the hand
  • Different power levels to tailor the output to your preference
  • 4 coil resistances to choose from and they are compatible with other Nevoks kits
  • Auto draw and button fire – button fire ideal as a back-up if auto draw fails
  • Very efficient on e-liquid usage
  • 0.4ohm coil (available separately) and 0.8ohm coil (included in kit) are brilliant

Cons

  • Stuttery auto draw activation when airflow fully open
  • 1st 0.8ohm coil burnt out before I even got through 3ml of e-liquid
  • Slightly overpriced in comparison with other quality pod kits
  • The power settings for the 0.6ohm coil are too low and prevent it excelling
  • Auto lock function might annoy some, if the device has been resting you will need to inhale to wake it up again, the fire button will lock until you do.
  • Hard to see the coil resistance as the coils are so small with tiny writing.

Nevoks Feelin 2 Final Review Verdict

There are plenty of things to like about this kit, look at the long list of “Pros” above!

In general the design is ace, the LED indicator is clever, plenty of coil options, auto draw and button firing and 3 power levels.

I am not sure if there is a quality issue with the coils supplied in the kit? One 0.8ohm coil failed before I had even vaped 3ml of e-liquid. However I replaced it with one that came in a box of 5 coils supplied separately from the device and that was very impressive.

The maximum output for the 0.6ohm coil is only 20W, which is too low in my opinion and results in a lacklustre performance from this coil. This has impacted the score for the 0.6ohm coil even though the device was the problem – not the coil.

The airflow has a great range of adjustment to suit MTL and RDL vapers, but when the airflow is fully open this can result in an unreliable auto draw which can be overcome by using the button to fire.

This is more expensive than some of the Uwell Caliburn A and G kits and a similar price to the OXVA Xlim Pro – which is my favourite kit ever. So in this instance I think it is slightly overpriced. If I had to spend £25 of my own money on a pod kit, I would buy the Uwell or OXVA to be honest.

Saying that, it is still a great kit which is super easy to use with a lot of features. If you bought it you would not be disappointed but there are slightly better options out there in the same or lower price bracket.

Time for a pod kit from a brand I am not familiar with – the Nevoks Feelin A1!

Nevoks Feelin A1 Main

However we at Ecigclick became acquainted with the brand in 2022 when we reviewed the Nevoks Feelin X pod kit.

Nevoks were created in 2019 in Shenzhen China. Their mission is to…

“build a non-tobacco and healthy world. To achieve this, we offer innovative stylish products, exceptional user experience, and reliable pre-sales and after-sales service.”

nevoks logo

The Feelin range began in 2020 with the original Feelin Pod Kit, then the Feelin Mini in 2021 and the above mentioned Feelin X and Feelin C1 were the next in the series. They also created the Pagee and APX ranges.

nevoks products

Thank you to Nevoks for sending these over for review! I will report back honestly on the devices in my possession.

What To Expect From The Nevoks Feelin A1 Pod Kit…

This does give off the impression of being a very “back to basics” starter pod kit – but it does have some more advanced features!

feelin a1 components

Firstly the body conceals a 1000mAh battery which is charged using the USB Type C port at a 1A charge rate.

feelin a1 battery

The output is specified as 10-30W, but the device will recognise the pod installed and then allow you 3 output levels to suit the coil resistance.

feelin a1 output

You can either use the manual fire button or simply inhale on the mouthpiece to trigger the auto draw firing.

feelin a1 features

An LED is provided to view the device status, battery level and power level.

On the rear of the device an airflow adjustment slider is provided to tailor the incoming airflow to your preference.

feelin a1 airflow

Looking at the pods, these have a fixed coil – so you will discard the pod section when the coil performance drops.

There are quite a few pod options to choose from – 0.4ohm, 0.6ohm, 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm. The 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm are included in the kit.

feelin a1 pod options

Also there are two styles of pod – a 3ml standard version with a side fill port or a 2ml TPD pod which has a removable mouthpiece to access the top fill port.

feelin a1 filling styles

Nevoks promise a faster firing and increased airflow due to the 4 airflow inlets on the base of the coil which should result in better flavour too!

feelin a1 pod features

There are 7 colour options to choose from: Grey, Red, Blue, Pink, Gold, Purple and Black.

Nevoks Feelin A1 Design and Build Quality

I received the Black, Grey and Blue versions.

feelin a1 in hand

The packaging was classy with a cardboard over-sleeve which uncovered a cardboard tray with a foam cut out to house the device and a smaller cardboard box for the rest of the kit.

feelin a1 packaging

The instructions are some of the best I have seen in a while. Yes they are tiny but there are 10 pages in one language only. Plus there was a card with more details about the different pod options.

nevoks a1 instructions

Sadly there are no online instructions – I often find it useful to view them online or download PDF if the writing is very small.

Nevoks also kindly sent me a carry case and various different pods in different resistances / fill methods / capacities.

feelin a1 casefeelin a1 extra pods

Nevoks Feelin A1 Mod

The design does remind me a bit of the Uwell Caliburn G / G2 with the textured panel and circular fire button.

feeling a1 front views

The body is mainly a metal shell made of Aluminium Alloy which makes it nice and light – even with a full pod. It has a matte metallic finish in the colour of your choice.

Looking first at the front of the mod, at the top is a cute “e-liquid viewing window” which has a nice design and also you can clearly see the “minimum” level marking on the pod. But as it is only cut out on the front, the window is quite dark so not a total success.

feeling a1 min mark

Moving down and the centre area of the front has a textured panel in an oval shape which features the tiny LED indicator. The LED is bright but could do with being a bit bigger.

feeling a1 LED

Below that is the 9mm diameter circular fire button which has a “record groove” texture which feels good and is easy to locate. It is nice and clicky and quick to respond to the multiple presses required to access some features.

feeling a1 fire button

Towards the bottom of the front is the “Nevoks” logo printed vertically – the colour of the text varies according to the device colour.

feeling a1 branding

Each side of the device has a shiny mirror finish panel and on the USB Type C port side it also has the text “5V 1A” and “3.7V 3.7Wh” etched in.

feeling a1 USB Side

On the rear you will find the airflow adjustment slider. This is very effective but is quite loose to slide, so you may find it moves accidentally. My only gripe with the design is the location of this slider as I often blocked the incoming airflow as the inlet is where I would grip the mod.

feeling a1 airflow adjuster
Top = Fully closed, Bottom = Fully open

The base features the required legal logos and appears to be made from Black plastic with a grooved texture.

feeling a1 base

At the top is the pod compartment, this is very deep so might not be that easy to access for cleaning etc, but as I have so far had no leaks I don’t see an issue.

feelin a1 pod compartment

Inside the pod compartment are 2 spring loaded connectors and 2 magnets which match up with the magnets on the pod base. The pod is held in firmly with no wobbly wobbly!

Auto Lock

When you don’t use A1 for 1 minute, the button will lock, you need to auto-draw to start it again. If you want to turn off this feature, 3-click while the device is switched off.

Nevoks A1 Pod

I was supplied with both styles of pod…

Side Fill 3ml Pod

This for me was the best design. The whole pod is a tinted colour and the top half is perfectly clear. The bottom half has a slight frosting which is a shame.

feeling a1 3ml side view

Even so the e-liquid level is clear to see.

feeling a1 3ml pod filled

Left = 3ml pod, Right = 2ml Pod

Quick Start Guide

The device arrives with no pod installed. So you can choose your pod, fill with e-liquid and get vaping! I will cover the process below!

Nevoks recommend an e-liquid ratio of 50%VG up to 70%VG for all of the pods. The included tips card also shows the recommended airflow settings for each pod.

nevoks feelin a1 tips card

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off = Press the fire button 5 times to turn on and off.
  • Vaping = Hold down the fire button to vape or simply inhale on the mouthpiece to trigger the auto draw activation.feelin a1 activation
  • Battery indicator = The LED will show Green for 60-100% charge remaining, Blue for 30-60% and Red for 0-30%.
  • Battery indicator when charging = The LED will cycle through the above colours and turn off when fully charged.
  • Airflow: Slide the airflow slider up and down. Up = more restricted airflow, down = less airflow restriction.
  • Adjust output = Press the fire button 3 times. Every time you press the fire button 3 times the LED will change colour to indicate the mode selected – Green (high – 3.5-3.6V), Blue (medium 3.4V) and Red (low 3.2V). When the satisfied with the level displayed leave the device and it will go back into standby mode.feelin a1 power modes

  • Over time protection: If vaping for longer than 10 seconds the fire will cut out and the LED will flash 5 times. Restart vaping as usual.
  • Overheat protection: If the circuit board is hotter than 85°C the White LED will flash 3 times and the device will not work until it has cooled down.
  • Pod installed: White LED will flash.

How To Charge The Battery

The charging rate is specified as 1A.

This does have “pass through” charging – meaning you can vape on it whilst charging.

  • Using a USB type C cable, connect the small end into the USB port on the mod.feeling a1 charging
  • Connect the large end of the cable into a suitable USB outlet.
  • The LED will cycle through the colours and turn off when fully charged.

I found this to take around an hour to charge from empty.

  • Replace the fill port cover firmly.

How Does the Nevoks Feelin A1 Perform?

As there are different styles of pod included in the kit, I will choose different types of e-liquid to suit.

If any of these terms are over your head – have a read of our handy guides below!

0.4ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

The power outputs for this pod are..

  • Low = 25W
  • Medium = 29W
  • High = 30W

For this pod I will be using the Choppa Vapes Blue Slush shortfill e-liquid as it is designed for lower resistance coils with a ratio of 64%VG / 36%PG.

I have not added nicotine as I like the full flavour!

I basically stuck with the high power level as this was just epic.

The flavour and vapour are extremely good – with thick plumes when you exhale!

I get all the sweet syrupy notes of my e-liquid and it is a beautiful vape indeed. It feels way more powerful than it actually is!

The airflow felt best at 3/4 open for me – more of a restricted direct lung. But of course you can fully open it and push out the clouds!

After 4 refills (of 3ml – approx 12ml) the flavour was still banging!

0.6ohm Nevoks A1 Pod

The power outputs for this pod are..

  • Low = 17W
  • Medium = 19W
  • High = 22W

For this pod I used my 50% PG / 50% VG Bubblegum e-liquid with 6mg nicotine salt. I mix this myself from the IVG concentrate.

One thing that really surprised me was the volume of vapour – bloody hell was not expecting that at all!

The flavour is decent – not the best I have ever tried but still a lot better than some kits. I am finding a lack of throat hit – I expected this to be quite fierce with a 0.6ohm pod and nic salts but it is still very smooth.

I found I used this pod with the airflow half open to get the best combo of flavour and vapour.

Overall an above average pod and I have refilled this 7 times (this is the 3ml pod so 21ml roughly) and the flavour has not dipped at all.

Additional Pods

As I was also sent the 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm pods I thought I would add how they performed.

I will not be adding these to the ratings at the end as these are just optional extras!

0.8ohm Pod

0.8ohm is my usual “go-to” when it comes to MTL vaping as it is the pod I prefer in my OXVA Xlim kits. For this pod I used the same 50/50 Bubblegum e-liquid as I used in the 0.6ohm pod.

I found this to be an OK performer, not quite as flavourful as other kits with 0.8ohm coils / pods. Where this did have a huge benefit was with the battery life. The battery charge lasted around 7 hours and around 4 refills (12ml) on the high power mode.

It is an average vape, the flavour is there, but not bursting like the 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm pods.

There is a nice warmth and plenty of vapour though.

1.2ohm Pod

For this pod I used an e-liquid with a bit more “oomph”. I chose the Unreal Berries Blackcurrant & Strawberry 50/50 e-liquid with a 20mg Nicotine Salt strength.

I really like this pod! Usually the high resistance pods can lack a bit of flavour and throat hit. However using this on the high power setting it is way better than I was expecting.

I found the airflow was best at the mid-way point and this was a perfect MTL vape!

Airflow

To help rate how restricted the airflow is, I use a scale – where 0 = fully closed, no airflow up to 10 = breathing fresh air.

For the 0.6ohm pod this ranged from 1 fully closed up to around 7 when fully open so quite a wide range of adjustment – which is excellent as this pod is on the boundary of being MTL, DTL and RDL!

With the 0.4ohm pod this again started at 1 when fully closed and I would say roughly 7 when fully open. So you will be able to comfortably use RDL and DTL vaping styles.

The 0.8ohm pod was 1 when airflow fully closed and around 5 when fully open – so quite a bit more airflow restriction.

With the 1.2ohm pod I found it rated 1 fully closed and again around 5 fully open.

Mod Performance

The auto draw fire was very responsive even with the airflow fully open – which can cause misfiring or stuttering on some kits. The Nevoks Feelin A1 had no issues at all!

The output seemed well regulated and I only noticed a drop in output on the last 4 or 5 vapes before the battery conked out.

It does take a full hour to charge which is OK when you consider it has a 1000mAh battery, but it is only 1A charge rate. If that was increased to a quicker 2A charge rate it would be a great upgrade.

Leaks

Not a single drop – totally leak free and bizarrely there is barely any condensation either! Extremely well designed pods (apart from the top fill obviously!)

Battery Life

This is always a variable and will depend on the pod installed, output level selected and your own vaping habits.

With the 0.6ohm pod I got nearly 5 hours on the medium power output and 4.5 hours on the high power output. This equated to around 2-3 refills per charge (6-9ml)

I used the 0.4ohm pod at the high power level and the battery life was very much impacted at around 2.5 hours and 2 refills (6ml). It is worth noting that I was not using nicotine in the e-liquid so I was really hammering the vaping!

I got around 7 hours and around 4 refills (12ml) on the high power mode with the 0.8ohm pod.

Pros

  • Classy looking kit
  • Draw and button fire provided – sometimes over time the auto draw firing can fail on a device so it is great to have the back up of a fire button.
  • A lot of features for what first appears to be a basic pod kit!
  • A great range of pods to suit all vaping styles
  • Large range of airflow adjustment
  • Flavour on both included pods was great
  • Feels and performs way better than the price tag would imply
  • The 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm pods give exceptional battery life
  • Zero leaks from any of the 4 pods I tried!

Cons

  • I do have concerns as to whether the replacement pods will be widely available as this brand is not one of the main ones usually stocked by all retailers. But if you purchase your supplies online you should be fine.
  • Position of Airflow slider / inlet does mean I accidentally cover it when vaping
  • 1A instead of 2A charge rate – but it still does only take an hour to charge.
  • Top fill pods are a bit fiddly to open to refill
  • The e-liquid viewing window is a bit dark – could do with having cut-outs on both sides of mod.

Nevoks Feelin A1 Final Review Verdict

The initial appearance of being a “no frills” pod kit does this an injustice! There are features which you get such as airflow adjustment and power level choices which make this into a slightly more advanced kit.

Also the good range of pods means this should satisfy most vapers and the large range of airflow adjustment seems to be able to match that claim.

It is not the most exciting kit to look at but it does remind me of the Caliburn kits, which look plain but really perform well.

Overall I was impressed as it outperformed my expectations – however it has not done enough to replace the Xlim’s and Caliburn’s as being my favourite pod kits. Plus they are a similar price to the Feelin A1 and superior in performance.

If you buy the Nevoks Feelin A1 kit and find the pod which suits you – you will not be disappointed as it is a good performer and at below £20, it is better than some kits with a higher price tag!

In for review is the Nevoks FEELIN X pod kit.

Nevoks Feelin X pod kit hand check imageEstablished back in March 2019, Nevoks are a Shenzhen based vaping manufacturer on a mission.

They already have outlets in over ten countries, producing high quality open pod kits designed to create a healthier lifestyle. Nevoks aim is to become the most trusted and reputable creators in the industry.

It’s the same bold claim all companies tend to employ but Nevoks are certainly having an impact. Well, in Malaysia at least because they won the 2020 award for best pod kit at the regions international vape summit.

As well as the FEELIN range Nevoks are also responsible for the Veego, Veego 80 and Pagee box style pod kits.

The FEELIN X goes down the more traditional path in terms of design and build quality.

We’ll take a look at that shortly..

What Can We Expect From The Nevoks FEELIN X Pod Kit?

It’s an upgrade to the original FEELIN pod kit and there are a few differences. It doubles the power capabilities, holds more juice, uses adjustable airflow and ditches three step voltage control in favour of variable wattage.

feelin x banner

Yet two things remain unchanged. The design and form factor together with the ability to use the same range of proprietary SPL10 coils. So although only two are included with the kit there are others available including a MTL (Mouth To Lung) coil. We tell you what the terms MTL and DTL (Direct To Lung) mean in our Guide to Vape Styles.

Made from Kanthal mesh they’ve been upgraded too, supporting Insta-fire for a denser, richer flavour.

Nevoks FEELIN X pod kit SPL mesh coil range card

Thanks to an increase in battery capacity the Nevoks FEELIN X can now power up to 40W. All relevant information is displayed on the 0.49in monochrome screen and seven safety features have been built into the NX chip.

The cartridge or pod is fully transparent and can hold up to 5ml of e-liquid or 2ml where TPD regulations apply.

A side filling system makes things easy when in a hurry. The mouthpiece has been designed for comfort and made from a “TPE” material? Which stands for ThermoPlastic Elastomers apparently. Don’t ask me! lol ! Chances are it distributes heat more evenly to prevent hot lips.

Instead of the fixed airflow of the original FEELIN an adjustment slider is now incorporated into the side of the battery section.

The Nevoks FEELIN X gives the user the choice of either manual (button activated) or auto draw for added convenience.

An RBA mode has also been included – this allows full output adjustment. The Nevoks Veego 80 pod mod uses the SP12 RBA section. If it is indeed compatible you’ll need to build within sensible wattage parameters.

The FEELIN X comes in an assortment of colours. Choose from Grey, Red, Rose Pink, Green, Ocean Blue, Blue and Black (under review).

Nevoks FEELIN X Pod Kit – Design and Build Quality

At 61.5g the device is nice and light weight. It may be a little too tall and bulky for a shirt but will certainly fit inside a trouser pocket no problem.

The Pod

The pod is well designed with some decent contouring around the mouthpiece. There’s a visible difference between the PCTG and TPE material.

Fill tab and TPE material of the Nevoks Feelin X pod It’s cool that the viewing window is totally transparent. You’ll still need to check those e-liquid levels though as half is hidden inside the battery section.

The silicone stopper is positioned on the side of the pod – thankfully it’s one of the easier ones to use. The pod can be attached to the battery either way round via four strong magnets.

The Battery Section

Unlike the original Nevoks FEELIN pod kit the upgrade now incorporates a monochrome LED screen. This means power (wattage) can be controlled between 5 – 40W. It’s really as simple as that.

The screen displays a current battery strength icon, whether locked or unlocked, wattage, puff duration, coil resistance and number of puffs. That’s not too bad given the small amount of space available.

Also new to the upgrade is the ability to adjust the airflow. A slider is incorporated into the side of the battery and has an opening of around 9mm. This should allow for a direct lung vape when fully open and a restrictive one when altered.

On the opposite side of the battery the type C USB charging port has been positioned quite high up. No bad thing because that assists with stability when plugging in and standing in a vertical position. It’s also heavily recessed which makes it less prone to damage.

Installing A Coil and Filling The Pod

All the coils in the Nevoks SPL10 range are plug and play. There are no flat edges so there’s no wrong way of installing them either.

  • Remove the pod from the battery section
  • Push the coil up inside the pod chamber ensuring a firm sealReplacing a coil on the Nevoks Feelin X pod
  • Lift the fill tab on the side of the pod
  • Gently pour e-liquid into the opening ensuring the cotton wicks are submerged
  • How to fill the Nevoks Feelin x podReturn the fill tab to its closed position ensuring a good seal
  • Drop the pod back into the battery section

Let the e-liquid soak into the cotton for around five minutes before vaping.

How To Operate the Nevoks FEELIN X Pod Kit

This device has been designed with a new pod user in mind. It’s very simple and straight forward to operate.

  • Press the fire button rapidly five times to turn the device on or off
  • Press the fire button rapidly three times to lock or unlock the device

When the device is locked the menu buttons will not function and neither will the fire button. Auto draw vaping is still possible.

  • Hold the up and down menu buttons together to lock the current wattage.

The ‘K’ letter indicates the device is in wattage locked mode. It’s replaced with ‘R’ when in RBA mode

When wattage is locked the menu buttons will not function but it’s still possible to vape, either manually or auto drawn.

  • Hold the fire and up button together to enter RBA mode.
  • Press the fire and down button together to reset the puff counter

The NX chip is capable of automatically detecting minimum and maximum power setting for the installed coil.

  • Use the up and down menu buttons to manually adjust power in single watt increments. Hold either button down to increase the speed.

The screen will time out after 20 seconds of inactivity.

The NX chip comes with a host of safety features built in. These include over vaping, short circuit, low voltage and over charge protection among others.

How Does The Nevoks FEELIN X Pod Kit Perform?

For more information on terms used see the following guides…

0.3ohm Kanthal mesh SPL10 coil (30-40W)

I started off by using the 0.3ohm Kanthal mesh SPL10 coil.

Clotted Dreams Strawberry Jam and clotted cream, a 70VG/30PG juice ratio was used to test flavour and cloud production.

Nevoks SPL10 0.3ohm kanthal mesh coil

The coil is capable of running between 30-40W. To begin with, airflow was left wide open.

Although this coil affords more airflow over the 0.6ohm there was still around 25% restriction. However, I didn’t notice any turbulence and the inhale was smooth and quiet.

Vapour production was incredibly good with dense white clouds tumbling out into the ether. That was a very satisfying vape experience.

As for flavour replication? Around average if I’m honest. The coil wasn’t producing enough punch to the fruit and any creaminess was pretty much absent.

Some of the sweetness of the Strawberry pulled through but I still sensed that this was something of a dry and somewhat bland tasting vape.

At 35W the coil was sufficiently heating the e-liquid which allowed some of the dairy notes to express themselves but it still had no impact on the fruit.

The coil can definitely handle a maximum of 40W but I suggest leaving airflow wide open while vaping on this setting. The vape becomes warmer but that’s about it. There’s not much to be gained by the additional power in terms of flavour replication.

I preferred vaping the 0.3ohm coil with the airflow slider wide open at 35W.

0.6ohm Kanthal mesh SPL10 coil (18-25W)

This coil was used to test airflow adjustment sensitivity as well as overall flavour and cloud performance. I used Cuttwood Blueberry Smoothie, a 70VG/30PG blend and ran the coil at 22W throughout.

Nevoks SPL10 0.6ohm kanthal mesh coil

The Blueberry literally jumped out at me with the airflow slider wide open. The overall sweetness of the vape came along for the ride instead of being left as an after taste on the tongue.

This was a clear indication that the coil was wicking the e-liquid perfectly. The flavour experience was replicating that of an RTA. Further indication came in the form of a turbulent free, smooth and relatively quiet inhale.

Admittedly the vapour production was slightly less than the 0.3ohm coil but still satisfying enough.

Mid Airflow Restriction

When the airflow slider is left wide open, the restriction is at around 40%. This semi restrictive direct lung vape becomes much more supressed when the slider is set mid position. I’d say restriction is around 60% and that’s my ideal vaping style.

Yet the mouthpiece still doesn’t produce the hot lips experience found with the more powerful 0.3ohm coil. Even during extended inhales. This restrictive direct lung (RDL) vape warmed the vape and helped to bring out more of the creamy, dairy sub notes of the e-liquid.

The fruit content is still kicking proverbial butt while the sweeter elements are working in perfect harmony during the exhale. Not too wet, not too dry.

Further Airflow Restriction

This demonstrates the effectiveness of the adjustable airflow slider. The increased restriction means that a direct lung vape is a little too tight to be comfortable while a mouth to lung (MTL) vape is also out of the question. That’s because it’s too loose to be effective.

Flavour reproduction remains very good and cloud production doesn’t suffer too much.

This coil worked best for me with the slider set around two thirds open.

Battery Performance, Number of Puffs and Charging

I got a respectable 7 hours use when using the 0.3ohm coil at a constant 35W. During this period I puffed around 180 times and vaped a pods worth (5ml) of e-liquid.

The 0.6ohm coil lasted for 9.5 hours when vaping at 22W. I managed 250 puffs while getting through a pods worth of e-liquid.

Fast type C charging did its job – it took exactly one hour to revive an exhausted battery.

Pros

  • Great flavour and cloud production from the 0.6ohm SPL10 mesh coil
  • Effective airflow slider
  • Fully transparent e-liquid viewing window
  • Light weight and pocket friendly
  • Can be charged in a vertical position
  • NX chip automatically detects the coil parameters

 Cons

  • Average flavour from the 0.3ohm SPL10 mesh coil
  • Both coils prone to weeping from their base
  • The TPE mouthpiece doesn’t prevent hot lips syndrome
  • Lack of battery venting

Final Review Verdict

I’m a bit confused about the auto coil detection of the NX chip. It does set the recommended parameters which is cool but doesn’t automatically set best wattage when inserting the pod. This would have been useful to a newer vaper.

Despite the inclusion of TPE on the mouthpiece I still suffered hot lip syndrome. It was nothing major but showed the material wasn’t really doing what it was claiming to.

I was really hoping the 0.3ohm SPL10 mesh coil would deliver the goods with a dessert based e-liquid. The coil is more than capable of generating the heat to force out all that creamy, fruity goodness. Yet flavour clarity, intensity and presence just really wasn’t quite there for me.

Both coils are set up for either a direct or semi restrictive lung vape. If you’re looking for a comfortable MTL vape I should imagine the 1.0ohm SPL10 coil will be the one to try.

The auto draw feature works well enough. If lung capacity is an issue I would recommend using the fire button – especially when the airflow slider is set wide open.
