In for review is the rather boxy Moti Duo 9000 disposable vape.

Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet TPD regulations. So only available for readers outside TPD regulated countries.

Moti Duo 9000 disposable vape main imageCreated in 2019, Moti are relatively new to the whole vape scene. But a heck of a lot can happen in four years. They currently own dozens of product lines, employ over a hundred scientists and engineers and have two dedicated manufacturing facilities run by more than a thousand employees.

That’s without 5000+ retail outlets and office locations worldwide.

I’d say it’s been a pretty busy period for Moti. Their products have now reached over 57 countries so their dedication to the vaping industry is highly transparent.

..A bit like todays review really but I digress as usual!

Underpinning everything they do, Moti has a mission statement.

To produce positive change and bring happiness for adult smokers. A dedication to providing safe, reliable, professional and cutting edge vaping products.

Cutting edge, sure – controversial certainly. Take the Moti POP and Moti Beaker 5000 as examples we’ve reviewed here at Ecigclick.

Clearly aesthetics and form factor play a major role in the development of this manufacturer, so what’s the Moti Duo 9000 like?

What Can We Expect From the Moti Duo 9000 Disposable Vape?

If you live outside TPD regulated zones, now is a great time to be a fan of disposable vapes.

moti-duo-9000

I’m talking in terms of E-liquid capacity. I’ve seen it rise from 8ml, 10ml and all the way up to 14ml but now the Moti Duo 9000 is offering 20ml. Yes. 20ml..

In order to get through this mahoosive quantity this disposable is capable of anything up to 9,000 puffs.

You’re not getting through that number of puffs without the need for a recharge or four. We get that from the 850mAh integrated battery.

Moti Duo 9000 850mah integrated battery bannerThere’s no adjustable airflow and we’re relying on the disposable to offer us a decent MTL (Mouth To Lung) vape.

The Moti Duo 9000 also has a couple of tricks up its sleeve. One of which has been successfully adopted elsewhere admittedly but a welcome addition nonetheless.

The ability to gauge remaining E-liquid levels via a three colour LED. Let’s face it, with 20ml of juice sloshing around inside you’re going to want to know!

Moti Duo 9000 e-liquid level indictorsThe second trick is a bit more intriguing.

The dual mesh coils can run in two modes. Normal mode sees a resistance output of 1.2ohm but with the simplest flick of a switch this resistance can be halved to 0.6ohm for a substantial boost in power.

duo-4-boost-mode

But that’s not all. If boost mode isn’t activated the coils are used alternately to extend overall lifespan while keeping flavour consistent.

Moti Duo 9000 dual mesh coil techSo it’s not actually stated on the website but we can assume the e-liquid is of a 50VG/50PG blend. Nicotine strength isn’t mentioned either but the ones I’ve received contain 35mg salt nicotine.

..Could be worse. Could be 50mg!

The Moti Duo 9000 is available in 11 different flavours ranging from fruits to drinks to mint. It goes without saying – there’s bound to be a brain freezing Koolada thrown in there somewhere too.

Moti Duo 9000 Disposable vape – Aesthetics

Large battery + large E-liquid volume = Hefty sized disposable vape. There’s no getting around that so what we get is a device that could easily be mistaken for a pod kit.

I personally think it looks a bit odd. Like it has two images to uphold. The solid body and the transparent alternative, divided straight down the centre.

The Jekyll and Hyde of disposable vapes!

Moti Duo 9000 hand check imageNo doubt it’s a nod to dual power modes but it just ends up looking a little garish in my opinion. And is that an artistic image of a human heart?

Made all the more spooky with a holographic glint under certain lighting conditions.

Anyway, all very steampunk if you ask me but definitely in keeping with Moti’s unique designs.

Type C USB charging has been built into the front of the disposable. Good, good. Makes perfect sense since the device is capable of standing freely on any surface.

The mode select switch sits just above this and the E-liquid/battery level indicators are beneath.

If you have poor eyesight you’ll find it difficult to know what either does since the associated letters and icons aren’t very clear.

Moti Duo 9000 switch and indicators on front
The Moti Duo 9000 disposable in coil boost mode
  • Power switch on left – normal vape mode (1.2ohm resistance)
  • Power switch on right  – boost vape mode (0.6ohm resistance)

The three colour battery/E-liquid level indicators work identically. That’s to say:

  • 100% – 70% Green
  • 69% – 30% Blue
  • 29% or less – Red

Monitor battery levels with the left LED indicator and E-liquid levels with the right LED indicator.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 84.2 x 23.5 x 51.5mm
  • Battery capacity: 850mAh integrated, rechargeable via type C USB cable (not supplied)
  • E-liquid capacity: 20ml
  • Nicotine Strength: 35mg salt nicotine
  • Puffs: Up to 9,000
  • Coil resistance 1.2ohm mesh (normal mode), 0.6ohm mesh (boost mode)
  • Airflow: Fixed
  • Activation: Auto draw
  • Display: 3 Colour LED for battery / E-liquid monitoring

I think on this occasion I’m just as interested in the number of puffs obtainable as I am the flavour.

.. I may be quite a while! lol

Blue Razz Lemonade

Blue Razz LemonadeMoti Says:

A tantalizing blend that combines the sweet and tart flavour of Blue Raspberries with the tangy freshness of homemade Lemonade. Each puff delivers a refreshing, flavourful experience that’s as vibrant and invigorating as a summer day.

I Say:

Quite a refreshing taste. As you might imagine from a disposable, there’s nothing really natural tasting about it but, yeah – still quite refreshing.

And I’m reminded more of a sweets type of flavour profile. There’s definitely a chalky characteristic running through the exhale but the combination between Raspberry and Lemonade is actually nicely done.

It’s an effective enough blending, put it that way.

The vape is more sweet than it is in terms of tart like quality and the Koolada is not too intense. Now that is a relief.

Personally, I’m not really a fan of Raspberry and Lemonade combined because they’re both enjoyable on their own – for their own merits but I can appreciate what Moti have created here.

The flavour pops enough to remain interesting.

Tropical Rainbow Blast

Tropical Rainbow BlastMoti Says:

Tropical Rainbow Blast combines a multitude of Tropical Fruit flavours to create a vaping experience as vibrant and exciting as a Rainbow. Each puff is a burst of exotic flavours that provides a sweet and slightly tangy vaping experience.

I Say:

Oranges, predominantly Oranges are the first thing to spring to mind with Tropical Rainbow Blast.

I’m also convinced of the presence of Grapefruit but that is somewhere further back in the general pecking order.

What else jumps out at me? Pineapple. Yes, I get the distinct tropical vibe of Pineapple or more so as an aroma at times.

It takes a little while but after around thirty minutes of vaping the main ingredients seem to fall together better, the Orange isn’t nearly as pronounced after a short period of time.

There’s a helluva lot of sweetness applied to Tropical Rainbow Blast which takes away some of the enjoyment for me. It doesn’t need it and does act as a bit of a distraction to what is a decent blend of tropical fruits.

Still, the Koolada works well again. Seems Moti know how to correctly administer realistic levels.

Blueberry Ice

Blueberry IceMoti Says:

Blueberry Ice combines the sweet and slightly tart notes of ripe Blueberries with a frosty kick. Each puff delivers a balanced blend of sweet berry notes and a cool icy finish, making it a refreshing treat that is both satisfying and invigorating.

I Say:

Not too bad but again, far too much sweetness to allow me to enjoy much of anything else associated with this flavour.

And this isn’t the best representation of ripe Blueberries, either. It carries that funky after taste that dare I say it, reminds me of Grape of all things.

I don’t like Grape vapes!

The cooling inhale is pleasant enough and kind of betrays the strange flavour that follows. Indeed, I feel there’s just enough Koolada to keep the vape fresh and invigorating.

Unfortunately this is a single flavour profile with little to lure me. It doesn’t bare the characteristics of Blueberry in my opinion. It’s usually subtly presented but let’s face it, disposables aren’t exactly known for subtle nuances, are they?

So the end result is an over sweetened, synthetic tasting fruit that has more in common with Grape as a fruit than Blueberry, unfortunately.

It’s not for me, I’m afraid.

Battery Performance and Number of Puffs

It’s taken an entire week to test the Moti Duo 9000. Kind of expected given the E-liquid capacity. During use the battery and juice LED indicators were solid and reliable. I had no issue and swiftly came to rely on them as to knowing where I was.

OK. So the scores on the doors, then.

I managed approximately 5,600 puffs based on my usual vaping patterns and calculations.

Not exactly anywhere in the region of the figures suggested but I’ve had a good, long think. In the extended space of a week this device has not let me down once.

.. And I’ve hammered it!

One day I tested the battery performance and ran from 5.30 in the morning till bang on midnight before needing to recharge. That’s very efficient battery consumption in my opinion.

You’ll also get a good few hours use when the battery dips into Red LED territory. And such was the consistency of flavour, I barely had time to notice E-liquid levels dropping from Green to Blue to Red.

Again, even when juice levels were in the Red, I still had quite a few hours’ worth of vaping left to do.

That’s without mentioning recharging times. It’s fast type C USB charging all the way and takes bang on one hour to revive a tired battery. You can even vape if you’re desperate.

Final Review Verdict

OK let’s address the elephant in the room… Dual use mesh coils…

I’m here to let you know it works extremely effectively with the Moti Duo 9000 disposable vape.

All it takes is a flick of that switch and the difference in power output is instant. Moti have nailed their tech. All I would suggest is that you try both early on because once you get used to one or the other in terms of power, you’re likely to stick with it since the difference is so stark.

Running the coil at 0.6ohm was just too much for me with the 35mg salt nicotine content. The flavour is definitely enhanced though so it’s down to personal preference.

Despite the mouthpiece opening looking suspiciously large, you’ll get a decent MTL vape. Cloud production is suitably stealthy – thin and wispy, perfectly emulating cigarette smoke.

Today I’m taking a look at the MOTI BOX 6000 disposable vape.

Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet the TPD requirements. So only available for readers outside of TPD regulated countries.

MOTI Box 6000 product main imageOne word springs to mind when perusing the MOTI website. Motivation.

These guys certainly aren’t short on motivation, boasting a comprehensive range of devices specifically designed for the new or casual vaper.

They’ve TPD products such as the MOTI POP, disposables in the form of the MOTI BEAKER 5000, pod systems like the MOTI ONE 4000 and not forgetting refillable pod mods.

The MOTI Vaporesso X Mini being one such example.

So the MOTI BOX 6000 falls in the disposable bracket.

How motivated am I by the flavour, vapour production, battery life and number of puffs?

Visit MotiPlanet for more details!

What Can We Expect From the MOTI BOX 6000 Disposable Vapes?

We’re not going to see the MOTI BOX 6000 gracing the shelves of vape shops in the UK or any EU based outlet, come to that.

It’s not TPD compliant. So only available for our non TPD restricted readers.

It contains a whopping 14ml of e-liquid. You’re not getting through that with a single charge of the 400mAh integrated battery so the disposable is fully rechargeable via a type C USB port.

MOTI BOX 6000 image 2The MOTI BOX 6000 as the name suggests is built to last for up to 6000 puffs. I’ll be the judge of that. No doubt it’ll take a few days use to find out.

Surprisingly for its size there’s no airflow adjustability. It’s been designed strictly as a MTL (mouth to lung) device.

MOTI BOX 6000 image 3I’ve got the 50mg salt nicotine version for the purposes of review but a more ‘sensible’ alternative in the form of 20mg is also available.

It comes in ten different flavours ranging from fruits, sweets and beverages.

MOTO BOX 6000 – Design and Build Quality

It’s big, it’s plastic and that means a whole lotta waste. That just happens to be the first thing that springs to mind. So it’s not exactly environmentally friendly.

MOTI BOX 6000 hand check imageHowever it is extremely lightweight and easily cupped by my hand. (Big hands!). The outer shell feels soft to the touch and the contouring means it’s comfortable when grasped.

The actual design is quite stylish with a modern bent. The MOTI logo is discreetly placed high up and the colours generally match the flavour profiles.

The mouthpiece is comprised of a clear silicone for added comfort although it’s going to attract condensate in next to no time.

MOTI BOX 6000 mouthpieceA Type C USB port is situated on the base so no vertical charging this time. That’s a shame because the MOTI BOX 6000 has no problem standing on any type of surface.

MOTI BOX 6000 USB port and LED indicatorFixed airflow is also directed to the coil from beneath and a small blue LED lights up during auto draw.

moti box 6000 specs

Unfortunately I couldn’t find out what type of coil is included, its resistance or if the cotton is organic or otherwise..

No flavour descriptions are provided on the official MOTI site so I’m going in for blind flavour testing today. Bare with me lol. Please also remember that flavour is subjective. Your overall experiences may differ from mine.

Use my thoughts as a guiding beacon and nothing more.

MOTI BOX 6000 – Honeydew Pineapple Orange

Moti box 6000 Honeydew Pineapple OrangeI Say:

Quite a complex mix to contend with from a disposable vape! I guess I was asking too much to assume the omission of Coolada, but..

That’s no bad thing, really. Admittedly the 50mg salt nicotine gives me something of a head rush but the cooling sensation is quite effective here.

It’s quite intense though. On my ‘stinging’ gauge I’d place it 9/10. Be aware of that. It’s going to be felt throughout the entire vape (and beyond).

Honeydew Pineapple Orange isn’t overloaded with sweetener – I favour that. The Melon is relatively natural tasting but does have a habit of eclipsing the Pineapple. I’m not picking up its usual raspy bite on the exhale.

The Orange content is refreshing enough. It interlaces with the Melon. I’m still inclined to suggest the powdered, vending machine type so it’s not exactly authentic tasting.

I would happily score this one a ten in terms of originality from a disposable. It’s a nice try but I don’t think the coil has the necessary oomph to handle such complexity.

MOTI BOX 6000 – Peach Mango Raspberry

Moti Box 6000 Peach Mango RaspberryI Say:

Now this is interesting. It’s definitely been blended and mixed well. The first fruit to tumble from the exhale is Mango. It doesn’t stick around very long, morphing into a sweet punchy Peach.

Any sweetener is held back towards the end of the vape which is a little weird but acts as a surprise late entry. It’s noticeable on the palate but doesn’t provide the sugar lips syndrome some folks like.

There’s a fragrant, floral like quality to the vape and I contribute that to the Raspberry element. It does struggle a bit but I can definitely make out some of the woody notes associated.

As much as the cooling agent helps to attenuate the fruits by keeping things refreshing, it’s high on the sting factor again.

Still. Out of the three tested, Peach Mango Raspberry is the most effective and combining fruits into one vape. For a disposable, it’s a dynamic vape for a change.

MOTI BOX 6000 – Orange Strawberry Pineapple

Moti box 6000 Orange Strawberry PineappleI Say:

Not that I ever used to drink the stuff much but the aroma reminds me of that grand ‘ole Tennessee mash, Southern Comfort! What’s it like to vape?

Very different (Secretly disappointed lol). The first vape spills the beans on the Strawberry which is highly artificial in content. It only takes a further few puffs for the flavour to start blending, the e-juice settling into the heat of the coil.

Pineapple intermixes with the Strawberry and is more in focus than Honeydew Pineapple Orange. Some of the fizziness and tart like qualities pull through.

Again, MOTI have done a fine job with the level of sweetener. It’s not a sickly vape but it does still lack in the Orange department. There’s very little in the way of juiciness.

So this time it takes a back seat and Orange Strawberry Pineapple turns out to be more of a dual layered experience, in my opinion.

You’ll also get the ‘sting’ factor with the cooling agent. It holds up way beyond the vape itself. So I rate that it an 8/10 for that.

Battery Performance, Recharging and Number of Puffs

I managed ten and a half hours from the factory charge. For a casual vaper that’s pushing maybe two days of use. Using my usual vaping pattern it equates to around 750 puffs.

Not too shabby for a 400mAh integrated battery.

In total I amassed 50.5 hrs use from the disposable. That was after 5 full recharges. An equivalent of 3,650 puffs. Not even approaching the 6,000 MOTI claim.

Fast type C USB charging did its job. It took exactly one hour to recharge the MOTI BOX 6000. During the charge cycle the blue LED remains lit and turns off when complete.

The blue LED flashes three times when the disposable is removed from the wall socket.

If an hour seems a long time to wait it’s possible to vape while the device is charging.

Final Review Verdict

You’ve got to like your Coolada with these three. It plays a dominant role throughout. For this reason I had plenty of water on hand – my throat dried very quickly.

None of the flavours are natural tasting which is pretty much par for the course with disposables. They’ll be fine for the newer, casual vaper that’s equally as reliant on a nicotine hit, though.

It’s a beast in terms of size – not what I prefer. We can put that down to the non TPD compliant volume of e-liquid swishing around inside. I wish I had more info on the coil type because it’s powerful enough to push out plenty of flavour.

For a 50mg nicotine strength the range wasn’t too intense on my throat either. In fact they were quite smooth on the inhale. Cloud production was very satisfying with maybe a little more density than most disposables.

So am I MOTI-vated by the flavour, cloud production, performance and number of puffs?

Up time is good. So is fast one hour charging. Flavour blending makes a pleasant change for a disposable system. You don’t often see this kind of ambition.

I guess I’m motivated to an extent but we need to keep in mind the MOTI BOX 6000 isn’t available to UK or EU audiences.

Let’s have a smaller version with a 2ml juice capacity with 10 or 20mg nic salt hitting 600 puffs.

That’s more likely to motivate me..

Today I’m taking a look at the MOTI PIIN 2+ disposable vape.

Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet the TPD requirements. So only available for readers outside of TPD regulated countries.

Moti piin 2+ disposable main image

As the name would suggest this is another disposable vape in the MOTI PIIN range. We’ve also got the original PIIN, PIIN C4000 and the PIIN 2.

We have reviewed a few Moti devices including the Moti One 4000, Moti/Vaporesso X Mini and Moti Beaker 5000.

The PIIN 2+ has over twice the battery capacity of its predecessor, can hold three times as much e-juice and drastically increases the total number of puffs.

Let’s have a gander, shall we?

Visit MotiPlanet for more details!

What Can We Expect From the MOTI PIIN 2+ Disposable Vape?

With a height of 105mm and a circumference of 20mm it’s by no means the smallest disposable vape on the market. But that doesn’t make it less pocket friendly. It’s comprised of Stainless Steel and Poly Carbon (PC), so light as a feather.

Moti piin 2+ hand check imageThe coloured poly carbon makes up the restricted MTL mouthpiece and surrounding area which boasts a dimple effect that’s quite eye catching. It’s also present on the base of the disposable.

Underside of Moti piin 2+ disposableThe colours are designed to reflect the included flavour of which there are a total of 10 to choose from.

Although it’s alleged the MOTI PIIN 2+ is capable of 2000 puffs the 950mAh integrated battery is non rechargeable. It’s going to be interesting to see how long it holds out. Not to mention the actual number of puffs obtainable.

Moti Piin 2+ batteryIt’s available in salt nicotine strengths of 2% or 5%.

The MOTI PIIN 2+ contains 6ml of e-liquid and is vapable via the 1.6ohm round wire coil using organic cotton to deliver the goods.

Due to this capacity this device does not meet TPD regulations and will not be available in the UK. So only for those readers outside of TPD zones.

Moti Piin 2+ stylish designSpeaking of delivering the goods, it’s time to see what this disposable is like. We’re checking it for flavour, vapour production, battery life and total number of puffs.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 105 x 20mm
  • Material: Stainless Steel/PC
  • Battery capacity: 950mAh
  • Nicotine strength: Salt nicotine 2% or 5%
  • E-liquid capacity: 6ml
  • Output power: 8.5W
  • Coil: 1.6ohm round wire
  • Puffs: 2000

Moti Piin 2+ dimensionsAt the time of writing there were no flavour descriptions available from the MOTI site. I’m going in blindfolded. Look upon my views and opinions as a mere guiding light. Please remember that taste is subjective.

NB: The original line up included Creamy Strawberry but that turned out to be DOA so I’ve replaced it with Rainbow Fizz.

MOTI PIIN 2+ – Cool Mint

Moti piin 2+ Cool Mint

I Say:

I have to say that the cooling agent used with Cool Mint is on par. It hasn’t been overused and that was my initial concern.

It soothes the throat rather than searing it which is pretty ‘cool’..

The spearmint is all too ready to escape the inhale and is plentiful on the way out. This is a no nonsense flavour profile and pitched perfectly towards the new or casual vaper.

Cool Mint provides a very refreshing and highly appealing taste.

As a welcoming change, the sweetener is put on the back burner. You won’t be receiving any sweet, sickly sugar lips with this one. It’s still in there but accompanies the main ingredient instead of overwhelming the whole experience.

I would even suggest Cool Mint to ex Menthol smokers out there because I feel it’s a worthy enough substitute.

As a palate cleanser between flavours and to prevent the dreaded vapers tongue syndrome?

Hell yeah!

MOTI PIIN 2+ – Rainbow Fizz

Moti piin 2+ Rainbow FizzI Say:

On the initial inhale a soothing, cooling effect is created. It finds a spot on the back of the throat and develops rapidly during exhale to linger post vape. It’s a dominant player in Rainbow Fizz.

It doesn’t stop the exhale from producing some creamy, subtle flavour blending.

Keep an eye out for Orange and Lemon as a partnership. For flavour, these are the two that stand out the most for me. This is quite a reserved duo of fruits and provide something of a candy like edge.

It’s not an ‘in your face’ creation. It lacks the juiciness and citrus elements of the fruit. The exhale carries more of a powdered sweetie texture – something akin to the old school Love Hearts sweets.

That apparent creamy texture softens the sweeter side of the vape. Overall, Rainbow Fizz is a drier exhale than the others and certainly not as intense or concentrated in flavour.

MOTI PIIN 2+ – Lush Ice

Moti piin 2+ Lush IceI Say:

Working on past experiences of flavours known as ‘Lush Ice’ I have to say I’m somewhat surprised.

Then again it could be my particular taste buds.

There is a very fresh Watermelon taste but I’m also convinced of the presence of a ripe garden variety Apple. Since we have no flavour description to go by, I’m sure MOTI can set the record straight.

There’s a very nice blending of the two fruits but the sweetness factor is ramped up this time. It’s going to leave its mark on the lips post exhale. The inhale provides that same soothing cooling effect initially but it will open out and loiter at the back of the throat post vape so it’s worth mentioning.

The flavour is very consistent from start to finish and what we get is a very smooth as a MTL vape.

I’m not entirely sure whether I’ve actually had a flavour combination like this before. All I can say is, I very much like it. Lush Ice will make the perfect Summer vape and with that icy cold blast at the start? What better way of cooling down.

I’m impressed with this one.

Battery Life, Performance and Number of Puffs

Spread out over the course of a few days I got 22.5 hours use from the 950mAh rated disposable battery. Using my usual vaping patterns (moderate to heavy use) the Moti PIIN 2+ gave me a total of 1,620puffs. So it does fall short of suggested.

However, to the newer or casual vaper they’re still getting good value for money. That’s because the device is likely to last them five, maybe six days.

In terms of performance it’s pretty flawless. I had no issues with auto draw functionality, the vape remained consistent and flavoursome and vapour production was satisfactory throughout the entire test period.

Final Review Verdict

The Moti PIIN 2+ offers a very good MTL vaping experience. In my opinion the restriction is set just right. It’s not so tight that you’re pulling faces yet not so loose that you’re losing vapour during the inhale. Good stuff!

MOTI state that the PIIN 2+ provides an effective throat hit. I didn’t get that. I found the 5% nicotine salt to actually be much, much smoother than I anticipated. Nicotine strength this high can sometimes literally take my breath away.

Not so with this disposable.

To this end I could quite easily believe I was vaping 2%. Either way there’s no argument from me. Both inhale and exhale was a highly enjoyable experience.

As a chain vaper, almost 24 hours use was more than acceptable. The 950mAh battery held out quite well.

So overall the Moti PIIN 2+ pretty much does perform like a cannon and I like it.

Moti Pop disposable vapesIt seems that MOTI are developing a trend. It’s a trend most responsible vapers will be deeply concerned about. Especially so given that (for right or wrong) disposables vapes are extremely popular among certain age groups.

I’ve already expressed my own feelings about novelty shaped vapes with the MOTI Beaker 5000 review so I won’t go into further detail, suffice to say the design I find questionable.

The MOTI POP follows the same path as the MOTI PIIN 2 and MOTI S LITE in that it has TPD compliant variants which are available inside and outside of the EU.

Let’s have a quick look around it then concentrate on the flavour, vapour production, battery life and number of puffs, eh?

Visit MotiPlanet for more details!

What Can We Expect From the MOTI POP Disposable Vape?

As alluded to, MOTI are covering all bases with the MOTI POP disposable. It’s available in 20mg and 50mg salt nicotine strengths.

The POP contains 2ml of e-liquid (TPD) or 5ml (Non EU) and is powered by a 650mAh integrated battery. It’s designed to last for up to 800 puffs with the 2ml version and 1200 for the non EU edition.

Image of the Moti Pop disposable vape

The MOTI POP measures 106mm in height, has a width of 38mm and is 15mm thick.

It’s comprised of Poly Carbon (PC) and the ‘stick’ is made from Silicone. A single white LED illuminates behind it when auto drawing. There are two pin hole airflow inlets either side of the stick.

Mouthpiece on the Moti pop disposable

These assist the restrictive mouthpiece opening on top of the ‘lolly’.

A premium polymer cotton is used in conjunction with the round wire coil. It pumps out a constant 8W throughout the life span of the disposable. Unfortunately I was unable to discover the resistance of said coil..

The MOTI POP is currently available in 13 different flavours. These range from desserts, drinks, tobacco, fruits and mint. More are on the way to bring the number up to 20.

moti pop specs

I’ve received the 2ml version of the MOTI POP for the purposes of review.

There were no flavour descriptions on the official MOTI site so I’m going in blind folded.

MOTI POP – Arabic Apple

Moti pop Arabic AppleI Say:

I’ve no idea what Arabic Apple is supposed to taste like. If it’s anything like a delicious ripe green variety then I’m more than happy.

That’s what we’re getting here. The good news is that it’s not overly sweet but it does have a very sharp snap on the exhale. It reminds me of the acidic content of the fruit.

Yes, it does taste juicy and combines with a lot of sourness to provide a pretty good replication of Adam’s favourite fruit.

I would say that the iciness of the inhale is a little overboard. It hits the roof of the mouth and then seems to become more intense after wards.

It’s the ‘stinging’ factor as I refer to it. That includes how long it hangs around. In the case of Arabic Apple I’d give it an 8/10. Unnecessarily intense and does take away some of the enjoyment of the vape.

MOTI POP – Lemon tart

Moti Pop Lemon TartI Say:

Oh dear! What a crying shame. More Coolada used! It’s not too intense but still ruins what should have been a classic bakery style vape.

What I get instead is a mixture of ice and sweetness. Even the Lemon content has been subdued. There’s a pastry base struggling to get out but it’s never fully realised.

Some of the cause could be put down to the inherent power of the coil. Then again, I’ve had successful recreations of this profile from other disposables. They simply omit the icy cold blast.

It doesn’t even attempt to replicate an ice cream topping and simply interferes with the enjoyment of the vape. The overall taste suffers, I’m afraid.

MOTI POP – Red Storm

Moti pop Red StormI Say:

I’ve got to be honest. I didn’t like the aroma Red Storm was giving off once released from its vacuum sealed baggie.

The resulting exhale was an altogether different experience and one I liked! This is your classic number one Scottish beverage in all its Irn tasting glory.

So that’s kind of odd, really because I wouldn’t associate the light Blue colour of the ‘lolly’ with this popular beverage.

The flavour is very intense but also highly consistent throughout the exhale. That candy, sweet texture is on show and really makes Red Storm a tasty vape.

The icy sting is in full effect throughout but on this occasion works to keep it refreshing and invigorating.

MOTI POP – Rich Tobacco

Moti pop Rich TobaccoI Say:

Now this one is quite well done. It actually has a slight throat kick on the inhale. It’s also pleasing to note the absence of any cooling effect. (That would be a silly move).

We’ve got a Virginian tobacco of sorts and if the colour of the disposable is anything to go by it’s likely to be the Brown variety as opposed to Gold or Red.

Rich Tobacco isn’t the strongest of flavours but I had enjoyment with quick successive pulls. They were satisfying and took me back to my early days of vaping.

It’s a rather dry vaping experience and does lack some of the sweeter elements of other Tobacco strains but it gets the job done.

So it’s a flavour I could recommend to any new vaper. I’d like to think Rich Tobacco is the kind of vape that helps to make that all important transition.

MOTI POP – Strawberry Ice Cream

Moti Pop Strawberry Ice CreamI Say:

I more or less knew what to expect from the smell of the mouthpiece. The aroma was quite strong.

Some might think the sweetener is overdone but I would disagree. Everything comes together quite brilliantly with Strawberry Ice Cream.

The icy cold blast that introduces the vape is just what’s needed to replicate the experience of a brow cooling Ice Cream mid Summer. It’s accompanied by a rich, creamy Strawberry that while not entirely natural tasting seems to fit the bill here to a tee.

It’s not creamy enough to create a yoghurt style vape but more in keeping with Strawberry Pavlova. No bad thing since I’m partial to a spoonful or four!

The sugar lips effect after the exhale is just the ‘icing’ on this particular vape. I’m impressed – it has a bit more complexity than others in the range.

MOTI POP – Tropical Mango

Moti pop Tropical MangoI Say:

This is certainly a tropical inspired vape, without doubt. The Mango is very refreshing and tasty. The only thing missing is the juicier element of the fruit.

More emphasis has been placed on the sweeter properties but that’s not say Tropical Mango is sickly in any way. The flavour is bright and popping, acting as a worthy thirst quencher for the long, hot Summer months.

This is a no nonsense kind of vape. A single fruity, tropical taste to stimulate the taste buds. It does that quite well, I found.

The cooling agent also helps to liven the vape. It will remain dominant but doesn’t destroy any of the enjoyment.

Tropical Mango is a vape that’s sure to appeal to the masses. It’s not pretending to be something it isn’t.

MOTI POP – Cola Fizz

Moti Pop Cola FizzI Say:

It’s as much about the icy cold blast as it is the flavour with Cola Fizz.

It’s a fifty-fifty split – straight down the line and it creates a well balanced vape in this respect. The vape is light, cool and refreshing as a result.

The Cola, rather understandably under such wattage constraints is rather flat. So don’t expect any of the fizz mentioned in the name. It’s not there. In all honesty I’ve yet to experience a fizz from any vape. At least not in the kind generally associated from the canned beverage variety.

So think Cola Cube instead. The reason I say this is because it contains the same syrupy sweetness. However, and rather thankfully it’s not of the sickly, face pulling variety.

I’m not once reminded of a beverage style vape – it’s more in keeping with the sweets category.

If that’s more your bag then I’m sure you’ll find Cola Fizz enjoyable.

Battery Performance and Number of Puffs

I vaped the MOTI POP disposable for 11 hours continuous. Based on my own vaping habits this meant I achieved a grand total of 792 puffs.

More or less precisely what MOTI claims. Good work!

The battery will fail before the 2ml of juice runs out so there’s no worry of dry hitting to contend with.

Overall the disposable was extremely reliable, delivering a consistently good vape throughout the test period.

MOTI POP – Final Review Verdict

One thing I have to note about the disposables is that although they arrived in vacuum sealed bags there were no stickers covering the airflow inlets. The silicone plug usually inserted into the mouthpiece was also absent.

The MOTI POP gives off a very good MTL vape. The auto draw is flawless and vapour production is suitably stealthy so expect to be able to throw out a few inconspicuous vapes now and then.

Flavour holds up well although it will degrade as the battery reaches its last hour or so. I think that’s par for the course, to be honest.

As far as vaping on a day to day basis? No real issues at all. It’s lightweight and slim enough for a trouser or shirt pocket. It can also be concealed by most of the hand for those slightly embarrassed by the form factor.

Let’s face it. It is going to be a talking point!

..Now if I can only stop accidentally vaping from the ‘stick’ end.

Let’s take a look at the highly unorthodox MOTI Beaker 5000 disposable vape.

Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet the TPD requirements. So only available for readers outside of TPD regulated countries.

Moti beaker 5000 product check

MOTI have a mission to bring positive change and happiness to ex smokers and those wishing to quit. Their Beaker 5000 disposable vape may bring a few chuckles as well as the inevitable barrage of furrowed brows.

We have reviewed a few Moti products including the Moti One 4000 and the Moti/Vaporesso X Mini.

Let’s get the controversy out of the way. In no way can I endorse this product on the grounds of design. It’s not reaching when I state the product heavily resembles a tiny tot’s beaker.

That’s potential bad news and does nothing to enhance the positive image of vaping.

moti beaker banner

Just wanted to clear that up. I think MOTI should know better and the product scores an emphatic zero on design.

Ok. Let’s lighten the mood and get on with the review. We’re all about the flavour, cloud production, reliability, battery life and number of puffs here.

Visit MotiPlanet for more details!

What Can We Expect From the MOTI Beaker 5000 Disposable Vape?

With a 50mg nicotine salt content don’t expect to find it on the shelves of any reputable UK vape outlet. It’s not TPD compliant. At the time of writing there isn’t a 20mg strength alternative either.

moti beaker capacity

The MOTI Beaker 5000 disposable vape is said to last for anything up to 5000 puffs. That’s one hell of a figure and may be pushing things given there’s a 12ml juice capacity.

The integrated 650mAh battery is therefore rechargeable via Type C USB on the base. Although there’s more than enough space in the extravagant looking box, you don’t get the cable.

Type C USB charging port and battery venting on the underside of the Moti beaker 5000 disposableAt the heart of the disposable there’s a 1.1ohm mesh coil complete with pure organic cotton for wicking.

Being of beaker design there’s some heavy tapering going on. At the top it measures 29mm and at the base 48mm.

Moti beaker 5000 design and taperingIt has a depth of 30mm and the mouthpiece is restricted to 5mm for that all important MTL (mouth to lung) vape.

..Please don’t try to direct lung (DTL) 50mg salt nicotine. You’ll thank me in the long run! lol. We tell you what the terms MTL and DTL mean in our Guide To Vapes Styles.

MTL mouthpiece of the moti beaker 5000It’s nice to see that MOTI have included adequate battery venting on the underside of the disposable.

The MOTI Beaker 5000 disposable is available in 10 flavours. These are mostly fruity types with a dose of cooling agent thrown in. I did notice that it appears the Peach Ice (under review) has been swapped for Aloe Grape on the official Moti site.

With no quoted flavour descriptions I’m vaping solo today.

Specifications

  • Battery capacity: 650mAh rechargeable
  • E-liquid capacity: 12ml
  • Nicotine strength: 50mg salt nicotine

MOTI Beaker 5000 – Citric Berries

Moti beaker 5000 Citric Berries

I Say:

This is a very fruity vape and there seems to be a fair bit going on. Predominant is the taste of Raspberry which is encapsulated in copious levels of sweetness.

The early hit of cooling ice on the rear of the throat isn’t over pronounced although it will still bounce around on the palate as an after effect to the vape.

I can pick out some background hints of Strawberry but these are of the sweetie, generic variety oft associated with disposable vapes. Designed for the masses not the connoisseur.

It took a while to wrap my head around it but the general underlying theme is one of bitterness and sourness. I may be reaching when I state this but I’m convinced of the presence of Lemon and Orange.

Both seem to lunge out around midway through the exhale and would certainly suggest the citric nature of the vape.

Citric Berries is a little too artificial and pungent for my liking. That’s not to say it won’t have its fans. Some folk prefer an ‘in your face’ flavour.

MOTI Beaker 5000 – Lemon Ice Cream

Moti beaker 5000 lemon ice creamI Say:

I’ve been looking forwards to this one so did Lemon Ice Cream live up to expectation?

Yes and very much so. This is a fantastic rendition of the fruit. The vape simply oozes flavour and on a very consistent level from inhale to the after taste finale.

I do have to make it clear though. This isn’t your average freshly squeezed lemon – that would be odd when combined with cream. Instead what we get is a pureed version that falls delicately into the hands of a well mastered mix of milk and cream.

So the exhale is silky smooth, flavoursome and with just the right amount of sweetness. In my opinion this elevates Lemon Ice Cream to the status of a true dessert style vape.

What’s more, because the dairy content is so pronounced, the cooling agent really does give the impression of.. well.. Ice Cream.

I rarely find dessert content this appealing from a disposable vape but MOTI have well and truly nailed it. Excellent work – I can’t fault it.

MOTI Beaker 5000 – Peach Ice

Moti beaker 5000 peach iceI Say:

Instantly identifiable and there’s an incredible amount of sweetness drawn up during the MTL inhale. That does put me off because it zaps the juiciness usually associated with Peach.

The flavour created is too intense for my liking and carries a lot of acidity which contributes to the sickly sweet sensation I get. This version of the fruit is more about the sourness than the Peach itself.

As a consequence, the inhale is over powering and a weird reaction occurs when sourness clashes with an icy cold blast.

Admittedly there’s no mistaking Peach as the key player but (as is often the case with disposables) it’s synthetic and chemical tasting. Those are the two culprits required to turn an approachable vape into a cringeworthy one.

I’m sure many vapers will disagree with my thoughts but I’m afraid I’ve been here too many times. I’d like to see some originality and inspiration brought to a fruit that in reality is succulent and mouth wateringly tasty.

So unfortunately there’s very little chance of me recharging the battery for Peach Ice.

Battery performance, Charging and Total Number of Puffs

Ok. It’s taken a lot longer than expected in coming up with a few simple observations. To be honest, I was seriously beginning to question my own sanity! lol

It took a grand total of six vaping sessions, spread out over four days to reach my conclusions. I managed 24 hrs vaping from the factory charge and the same after plugging into a wall socket.

When the Moti Beaker 5000 needs charging, the LED will flash 10 times. While charging the LED remains lit and after 90 minutes (when the battery is fully charged), turns off.

Working on my own vaping patterns the disposable produced a total of 3,456 puffs. So despite how long it takes to get through the 12ml of e-juice it’s still falling short of the suggested number of puffs.

Final Review Verdict

The MOTI Beaker 5000 disposable vape will provide a very decent MTL vape. The restriction is pitch perfect. The vapour production is suitably thin, wispy and stealth like.

It weighs next to nothing and despite the odd build conforms perfectly to the shape of the hand when held. In other words, it’s very easy to conceal. That’s in case you were concerned about odd looks. Trust me, I got my fair share! lol

It also took a few hours to register how comfortable the material feels. It seems to have a thin rubberised outer coating that’s quite sensual to the touch.

..What does that tell you about me?! lol

When it comes to flavour it does deliver but baring Lemon Ice Cream the MOTI Beaker 5000 suffers the same fate as many other disposables. Too much sweetness combined with artificial tasting fruits and an incessant need to add ice to everything.

Of course the newer or casual vaper won’t be concerned by that. There’s enough flavour intensity in the range to hold their attention and hopefully keep them off the cigs.

Yes, it’s not offering the full 5000 puffs promised but given that the Moti Beaker 5000 is likely to last for anything up to a week and perform consistently well throughout, I have to recommend it on value for money alone.

Today I’m taking a look at the MOTI ONE 4000 vape kit.

Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet the TPD requirements. So only available for readers outside of TPD regulated countries.

MOTI ONE 4000 hand check picIt’s certainly different from what I was expecting.

The team at MOTI have been leading e-cigarette trends since their inception back in 2018. With a mission to bring positive change and happiness to ex-smokers their status has swiftly elevated them to 2nd best e-cigarette brand in China.

moti brand specs

Known in over 57 countries they’ve notched up 16 international design awards. Catering to new and seasoned vapers alike, MOTI are currently pushing strong in the disposable vape arena.

Speaking of designs, The MOTI ONE 4000 might just increase their awards tally to 17..

We have reviewed kits from them in the past including the Moti/Vaporesso X Mini and the Moti Pod kit.

Visit MotiPlanet for more details!

What Can We Expect From the MOTI One 4000?

As I said, expect something completely different!

This kit is kind of a hybrid of a disposable vape and a closed (non refillable) pod kit!

moti one 4000 banner

Let’s go for ‘replaceable’ vape kit. Insofar as we have a removable cartridge and a separate battery section. The cartridge is powered by a 1.0ohm mesh coil and designed to function for anything up to 4000 puffs. The 600mAh battery can be recharged via type C USB. (charging cable not included).

Each flavour cartridge holds 10ml of 20mg salt nicotine. It’s not stated on the MOTI site but I’m guessing the e-liquid ratio is 50VG/50PG.

10ml flavour cartridge of the MOTI ONE 4000At 106mm in height it’s about the norm for a disposable vape. It may lose appeal to some with its bloated circumference of 26mm.

However, this little bad boy has airflow adjustability in the form of a serrated ring where the cartridge meets the battery section. It has to be said that the turning tolerances are spot on – we’ll find out how effective the airflow is later on.

Adjustable airflow ring on the MOTI ONE 4000
Light bulb, anyone!

The battery section doesn’t use magnets and simply snaps into the cartridge. It’s a strong connection too because the device passed numerous drop tests on the hardest of surfaces.

Coil contacts and airflow structure of the MOTI ONE 4000The cartridge is disposable once the e-juice runs out but then it’s simply a case of attaching another thereafter. That’s good for swapping flavours mid charge I guess but it doesn’t look like they’re being sold separately. Unless that’s in the pipeline.

moti one 4000 specs

I wasn’t able to glean any flavour descriptions from the official MOTI site so I’m going in blindfolded. Don’t forget that flavour is subjective. Use my thoughts and opinions as a guiding light.

MOTI ONE 4000 – Blue Storm

Moti 4000 - Blue Storm

I Say:

Blueberry is the order of the day, as expected. It packs some clout too. It doesn’t take long for the cooling agent to kick in on the inhale and has a habit of clinging to the rear of the throat post vape. I’ve said this before – some will take to that, others won’t because it can become obtrusive. Quickly.

The sweetness may also put some folk off. I’ve become used to it now and kind of expect it as de rigueur for this kind of vape.

This is your average, generic candy style Blueberry so don’t expect a natural authentic fruit atomising around the old taste buds. However it’s still very punchy and lively and most certainly doesn’t lack in the flavour stakes.

Blue Storm will probably go down a.. er storm with the less discerning vaper.

MOTI ONE 4000 – Creamy Strawberry

Moti 4000 Creamy StrawberriesI Say:

Wow! This is a tasty one. It also makes good use of the sweeter properties of the vape. During the inhale it’s not as noticeable as some in the range. There’s more of a tendency for it to pull through mid exhale and really does bolster that candy inspired Strawberry content.

There is a smoothness to the exhale and that’s created by the creamier quality. It blends in quite well with the Summer fruit. I wouldn’t class this as a Strawberry ice cream type vape even though that’s what I was kind of expecting.

Despite the inclusion of an icy cold blast Creamy Strawberry leans more towards a beverage based profile. Yet it doesn’t try to copy any of the more popular milky drinks and has something of a unique taste of its own.

On this occasion I think the icy cold blast that accompanies the exhale is slightly overplayed. It certainly catches the throat post exhale and sticks around longer than necessary.

In terms of flavour reproduction on its own, Creamy Strawberry is very satisfying.

MOTI ONE 4000 – Crispy Apple

Moti 4000 Crispy ApplesI Say:

When ripping the device from the vacuum sealed bag I got a strong aroma from the mouthpiece. The sweetness of the vape gets drawn up during the inhale just prior to an icy cold blast on the way out.

This is indeed a crisp, clean Granny Smith’s variety of Apple, except the juicy quality is replaced by that sweetener. Because this is a strong tasting vape it holds up well for the duration of the exhale.

It’s certainly not lacking in flavour property and the cooling agent helps to ignite the vape (metaphorically speaking, of course). It keeps things nice and refreshing so this is an ideal Summer vape in my opinion.

Crisp Apple is a flavour that the new or seasoned vaper will appreciate. Sometimes the simplest creations are the best.

MOTI ONE 4000 – Mixed Berries

Moti 4000 mixed berriesI Say:

The aroma of this one kind of lets the cat out of the bag. As a creation, Mixed Berries has to be one of the best I’ve tried. It simply oozes the flavour factor. I’ve often stated in the past that they’re very hit and miss – at worst resembling vaping warm hairspray!

I know, but that’s the only way I can describe it lol.

Flavour explodes at the moment of exhale and it’s a heavenly fusion of dark Summer fruits. There’s a complexity to Mixed Berries and if I had to state order of dominance it would be very tricky.

Personally I get Blueberry and Raspberry at the forefront and towards the end the sweetness of Blackcurrant punches through. It’s a very pleasant vaping experience from start to finish.

Again the cooling agent takes up at least 50% of the overall vaping experience but with flavour this good do I really care?

Nope..

MOTI ONE 4000 – Pina Colada

Moti 4000 Pina ColadaI Say:

This is the smoothest, tastiest vape of the range thus tested. It still has that significant cooling effect on the throat but is balanced by a silky smooth exhale.

The sweetness permeates throughout and tickles the taste buds on the after taste. I’d have to say the ratio of cooling to sweetness is pitched just about right and works a treat as a backdrop to the key ingredients.

The Pineapple used in Pina Colada is heavenly. It carries a distinct tartness and no doubt is where much of the sweetness originates. So we instantly receive that tropical vibe associated with the drink.

Much of the smoothness can be attributed to the Coconut and there is a woody, creaminess that blends perfectly with the fruit.

If I have to be picky there’s not much in the way of Rum. That would have really completed this awesome vape. As things stand Pina Colada is still packed with flavour and has the most complexity out of all tested so far.

I’m finding it very moreish and as a consequence is my current favourite.

MOTI ONE 4000 – Spearmint

Moti 4000 SpearmintI Say:

A good one to finish the line up with. In more ways than one. Firstly it’s acting as a great palate cleanser and secondly the Spearmint isn’t too intense.

Many versions of Spearmint can lean towards and remind me more of toothpaste or chewing gum. This take is a bit different. I’m not sure if that’s because of the additional sweetness of the vape but it’s more akin to the type used in, say a Mojito.

Because Spearmint has its own level of associated sweetness I do still think Moti have gone a little overboard by piling more on top. It comes across very concentrated and maybe creates a slightly sickly after taste.

To this effect the Spearmint plays less of a role and combined with the cooling agent tends to create a head rush.

It’s certainly not lacking for flavour but I’m finding Spearmint too intense for everyday vaping. I think it’s one I would come back to now and again and will be effective for the palate cleansing properties I’ve mentioned above.

Battery Performance, Number of Puffs and Charging

One word. Phenomenal. For a 600mAh rated battery the MOTI ONE 4000 held out for an incredible 15 hours! It wasn’t as if I was vaping regularly either. At times I was chain vaping.

However. The device showed signs of an empty cartridge after just one charge. Dry hits became noticeable after the first five or six puffs. The flavour had certainly taken a turn for the worst.

So this begs the question. How relevant is the rechargeable battery? On the subject of charging it took 90 minutes to rejuvenate. During the charge cycle the blue LED remains lit and switches off when complete. It blinks three times when removing from the charger.

Charging the 600mAh battery of the moti one 4000 kit
Christmas tree decoration, anyone?

As a general estimate I think I got around 1,200 puffs from the MOTI ONE 4000. It doesn’t even approach what’s being suggested. It also looks like I’d vaped the entire 10ml e-juice in just one sitting.

..Not so surprising given the 15 hours of continuous usage.

Final Review Verdict

The MOTI ONE 4000 offers an original take on design and build quality in my opinion. I do find it somewhat confusing to describe. It falls between the cracks of a disposable vape and a pod kit.

That’s because of the removable, replaceable nature of pod systems and the intense sweetness and flavour commonly associated with disposable vapes.

I get that it needs to be bigger to house 10ml of e-juice but it has the presence of a pod kit and the styling of a disposable.

The adjustable airflow ring works but only if set to mid position. You’re not going to get much versatility when it comes to restriction. I also don’t think it’s necessary because the MOTI ONE 4000 will provide a very decent MTL (mouth to lung) vape in its widest position.

So I’ve uncovered a few teething issues with functionality but when it comes to flavour and vapour production it’s a cracking little set up.

Although I only managed a single charge it was reliable and consistently delivered the goods. The auto draw was flawless too.

Today it’s the turn of the Moti – Vaporesso X Mini Pod Kit for review.

Moti X Mini Pod Kit hand check picThe founder of Moti, simply know as MG, joined the vaping industry in 2010. He went on to join forces with the Vaporesso brand of Smoore so I’m assuming that’s a key influence for this collaboration.

Details are sketchy at the time of writing and there’s nothing on either manufacturer website to back up why they’ve joined forces with this pod kit.

Most folk are familiar with Vaporesso but what about Moti?

As a vape manufacturer, Moti are based in Las Vegas over in the US. As well as integrating R&D with distribution they have over 5000 retail stores employing over 1000 members of staff.

They currently supply vaping products to over 30 countries across the globe.

Moti constantly strive for cigarette alternatives and they achieve this through diverse vape product lines. These are often unusual in design, creating different aesthetics.

One only needs to take a quick glance at the X Mini Pod kit for proof of that!

What Can We Expect From The Moti Vaporesso X Mini Pod Kit?

The original Moti Pod Kit was reviewed back in 2019. It had a traditional look and feel with its disposable and replaceable pods. The Moti X Pod Mod kit was completely different with its chunky appearance, colour screen and UV disinfection cap.

moti x mini banner

The Moti Vaporesso X Mini bears no similarity to the Moti X although it does fall within the same ‘innovator series’.

There are no bells or whistles with the kit. Hit the fire button and away you vape!

The PC material weaves its magic to display the ‘visible circuit design’

The review pod holds 4ml of e-liquid but there is a 2ml TPD compliant one for those in the UK or EU.

Adjustable airflow is controlled by spinning the pod inside the battery section. It’s an effective technique and it’s been used many times before.

The pod kit doesn’t use a screen and there’s no wattage control. Moti relies on APC (adaptive power control) to make the most of current battery charge.

The built in MCU chip is capable of distinguishing between different vape scenarios. For example, chain vaping and extended inhales are taken into account. The chip then adapts to these habits by providing an appropriate power output.

Pretty clever stuff if you ask me!

I’ve been provided with the galaxy silver colour scheme for the purposes of review. There’s also Gunmetal Grey, Aegean Blue, Mystic Purple, Aurora Cream and Space Grey to choose from.

Moti Vaporesso X Mini Pod Kit – Inside the Box

It comes in a slip case with the instruction manual sitting on top of the contents. The battery section nestles inside foam protection with thumb cut outs and a lift tab. Very thoughtful for impatient buggers like me! lol

Removing the foam layer reveals a carton of extras.

Moti Vaporesso X Mini Pod Kit – Design and Build Quality

The Battery Section

As mentioned the poly carbon material comes in very useful, its transparency being put to good use with the kit. It has a very tough and durable finish too, capable of withstanding everyday knocks.

Moti X Mini pod kit showing chip and battery transparency image

The upper third is comprised of a spray coated aluminium alloy which helps to keep the overall weight down.

The battery has a circumference of around 26mm which makes it very portable and pocket friendly.

The dual fixed airflow ports measure around 10mm in width, allowing for plenty of airflow.

Moti X Mini Pod Kit wide airflow port and raised fire button imageA type C USB charging port is built into the base of the battery section. Although it’s flattened off, don’t expect the pod kit to stand vertically for very long.

Moti X Mini Pod Kit type C USB charging port imageLooking down inside the battery, two gold plated and spring loaded coil contacts are visible. There’s also a magnetised ring to ensure good contact with the pod itself.

Moti X Mini Pod Kit spring loaded coil contact points inside the battery sectionThe protruding orange coloured fire button bridges the alloy and PC material and is extremely quiet when pressed. Oddly enough, it doesn’t illuminate.

That’s left to the bright blue LED positioned at the base of the battery.

This blue LED is responsible for a multitude of safety precautions so while we’re on the subject let’s go through those.

LED Prompts

  • Long blue light – Atomiser functioning
  • Blue light flashes three times – No pod detected / high resistance
  • Blue light flashes once – Low resistance / short circuit protection
  • Long blue light (half brightness) – Low battery
  • Blue light flashes 8 times – Overheat protection
  • Blue light flashes 10 times – Over vape protection
  • Continuous flashing blue light – Battery is charging

Once the battery is fully charged the LED stops flashing.

It will come as no surprise to learn it’s the usual five click to power the device on or off.

The Pod Section

It’s made of the usual PCTG material and is perfectly clear. That’s a massive bonus given the majority of pod vapes distance themselves from glass tanks by using a smoked or tinted effect.

Moti X Mini Pod Kit pod image with X35 mesh coil shown insideFrom the top of the mouthpiece to the base, the pod measures approximately 40mm. Its width is exactly 22mm.

The moulded (non removable) mouthpiece has an opening of 7mm making it ideally suited for a direct lung vape.

On the underside, three magnetic contacts are strategically placed to co align with the ring inside the battery section.

The pod spins around inside the battery section to provide adjustable airflow.

Moti X Mini Pod Kit magnetic contacts on underside of pod image

The silicone stopper of the fill port is easy to use. It can also be swung round making the fill process much easier. As always with me – it’s the little things..

This sounds like an ideal time to run through the filling procedure.

How To Fill The Pod

The X35 mesh coil is plug and play so it’s simply a case of pushing it up inside the pod. There’s no wrong way of doing this but remember to make sure it’s firmly seated.

  • Pull the silicone plug out of the pod and swing it clear of the opening
  • Gently squeeze e-liquid into the pod chamber, making sure not to overfill
  • Moti X Mini Pod Kit filling the pod imageReplace the plug back into the pod ensuring a snug fit
  • Snap the pod into the battery section and leave the e-liquid to soak into the cotton for around five minutes

A minimum fill level has been stamped on the side of the pod. As long as juice doesn’t fall below the wicking ports there shouldn’t be any issues.

Moti Vaporesso X Mini Pod Kit – How Does It Perform?

I carried out my first test of the X35 mesh coil using IVG Strawberry Jam Yoghurt, a 70VG/30PG juice ratio with freebase nicotine applied to the short fill.

If any of these terms are over your head – have a read of our handy guides below!

Moti X Mini Pod Kit X35 mesh PNP coil image 2The vape from a freshly charged battery is quite strong. Extended draws work a treat with airflow wide open and there’s no sign of dry hitting.

I got a fullness in the mouth usually associated with higher powered sub ohm devices. This was adequate proof the mesh was responding well. As a consequence, vapour production was thick with plenty of volume.

As for that all important flavour? It was more than adequate, producing some impressive dairy notes. The creaminess of the Yoghurt was consistent with every exhale and the fruity notes were sweet and tasty as well.

Flavour distribution is good and best with airflow left wide open. The 0.35ohm mesh coil seems to favour that setting. It’s still good when restricted but the pod does start to warm up a touch.

I didn’t notice any turbulence either and the vape was smooth with minimal noise generated during inhale. Further restriction reduces noise levels further still

50VG/50PG Juice Ratio

Even when testing various degrees of airflow restriction the vapour production is surprisingly good for a thinner juice ratio. It’s certainly dense enough and the room soon fills with a thin layer of hovering vapour!

Moti X Mini Pod Kit X35 mesh PNP coil image 1For flavour testing I used Original C Very Berry with a 3mg freebase nic content. The dark fruits did pull through but were somewhat flat during exhale. They came across as a bit wishy washy but still good enough for those less picky.

The berries just weren’t as bright, vibrant or popping in the way I expected – regardless of airflow settings.

I think the coil favours the thicker juice ratio out of the two tested. More so in terms of flavour texture, tone and richness. However in either case leakage still occurs from the O-rings of the PNP coil.

Expect the battery to last the duration of a pods worth of e-liquid (4ml).

Airflow Performance

I got a good semi restrictive direct lung vape with the airflow wide open. That’s where the vape is at its loudest but it never becomes annoying. As already stated there’s nothing in the way of turbulence either.

Air bubbles collide and rise to the surface of the pod – indicative of efficient wicking.

The pod needs to be rotated around two thirds before there’s any noticeable difference to airflow. In doing so it creates a restrictive lung vape but doesn’t intensify flavour properties to any great extent.

Battery Performance

To be honest it’s a bit of a let down. At best, with standard vaping patterns (not chain vaping) I harvested around three and a half hours. I found that somewhat disappointing from a 1150mAh battery.

During the last hour of available charge the flavour and vapour production also began to suffer. That’s compounded by not actually knowing how much battery life is left. The LED remains a resolute blue colour throughout all stages of drain.

It simply flashes five times and switches off. Time for fast type C charging to do its job.

A pulsing blue LED indicates a charging battery which takes around 80 minutes to complete. If you’re desperate for a vape, pass through charging is an option.

Pros

  • Lightweight and pocket friendly
  • Decent direct lung vape with good vapour production
  • Blue LED visible in direct sunlight
  • Quick and easy to fill on the go
  • Easy to view remaining e-juice levels through the clear PCTG pod

Cons

  • Prone to leaking
  • Won’t stand upright and can’t be charged in a vertical position
  • Only a blue LED indicator for all eventualities
  • Poor battery life
  • Adaptive power control – unable to manually alter power settings (subjective)
  • Omission of auto draw (subjective)
  • No battery indicator

Moti Vaporesso X Mini Pod Kit – Final Review verdict

There’s absolutely no way of ascertaining the level of power being supplied to the mesh coil. It’s also odd that there’s only a single colour LED to indicate everything that’s going on.

How do we know when the battery is reaching the end of its current charge? The green/blue/red LED system always works well so why change it?

For such a portable and convenient design I’d liked to have seen an auto draw feature included. Having said that, the raised fire button is easy enough to locate without looking. It’s also responsive enough.

As far as adaptive power control is concerned, it’s difficult to say. The vape seemed as powerful and consistent until around the last hour of battery drain. That’s when flavour properties began to degrade – so don’t expect miracles..

The Moti Vaporesso X Mini won’t suit a new vaper in my opinion. The airflow is more suited to a direct lung (DTL) vape. So it will be ideal for someone who’s familiar with sub ohm tanks tanks but looking for a more pocket friendly alternative.

The flavour is good, the vapour production better but the thing that impressed me the most was its tiny, pocket friendly design.

Oh and I know it’s purely aesthetic but I really dig the visible circuit design.

MOTI is based in Las Vegas USA and has been around some time but have only just begun releasing pod system kits, so have they hit the jackpot with this particular set-up?

The company has the MOTI pod system I’m reviewing here, and also the disposable MOJO device, which as you’ll see in my final thoughts, has had, shall we say, some technical issues.

moti pod kit review

Founded by two former smokers, MOTI’s mission was to:

…create and conceive a device that was both quality and affordable.

The obvious question is after years of development, have they pulled that off?

What Can We Expect From The MOTI Pod Kit?

It’s a stylish device to look at and comes in an array of eye-catching colours.

There’s a 500mAH internal battery and the retail kit comes with an open pod which means it can be refilled with your favourite e juice. MOTI is also in the process of producing closed flavoured pods and they’ve kindly sent me 5 to put to the taste test.

For the record, MOTI sent me two devices and a packet of open coils free of charge – thank you – and it goes without saying freebies in no way influence my thoughts and opinions.

Right, let’s see if they’ve created a device that will give smokers a satisfying experience and the MOTIvation to quit?

Inside the Box

moti pod kit box

No frills packaging and inside you’ll find:

  • 1 x Moti Vape Device
  • 1 x Moti Refillable Pod Cartridge
  • 1 x Micro USB Charger
  • User Manual

moti contents

Please Note: open and closed flavoured pods can also be bought in packs of 4 and I’ll look at the flavours later.

MOTI Pod Kit Specs

  • Draw Activated
  • 500mAh internal battery
  • 1.2 to 1.5ohm pods/coils
  • Magnet connection to battery
  • LED light indicator
  • Dimensions: 115mm x 20mm x 10mm
  • Various safety protections
  • 1.8mL juice capacity
  • Resistance range: 1.2Ω – 1.5Ω
  • Honeycomb Ceramic Core
  • Top-fill with dual fill ports
  • Currently available in 8 colours

Key Features

The MOTI is obviously a pod kit and has a relatively smallish 500mAH internal battery and is available with re-fillable 1.8ml pods or a variety of closed flavoured ones.

motio pod kit reviewed

The coil is honeycomb ceramic – similar to the FEELM – and according to MOTI is “6th generation” with a resistance between 1.2 to 1.5ohm.

moti pod and battery

There’s no fire button as this one’s draw-activated, however, the LED light does have some functions:

  • Brightens whilst vaping
  • Flickers when the device is at low power
  • Solid light whilst charging
  • Flashes x3 and shuts off when fully charged

moti pod filling

The pre-filled pods are self-explanatory – simply snap them onto the pod and the magnets take hold – whilst those you can fill are refreshingly simple to use:

  • Pull off the black top cap from the pod
  • Remove the silicone bung
  • Fill via either of the two fill ports – NOT the centre hole!
  • Replace bung
  • Replace top cap
  • Vape!

moti pod stopper

All very simple and ideal for a brand new vaper.

Design and Build Quality

Straight off the bat, the MOTI pod kit is a stylish looking set-up, think flattened out pen-style very similar to the SMOK Infinix 2 but not as angular – it certainly won’t roll off your desk.

the MOTI logo seems to be different on the various colours – I received x2, the gun-metal and the white, the latter having the LED behind the letter O in the logo, whilst the former has the name on the bottom of the device.

moti pod kit design

The pods all have the same black top-cap and the flavoured pre-filled ones have a coloured cover on the base you need to remove before vaping.

The build isn’t bad, however, I have noticed a couple of dinks – marks and scratches – particularly on the white one. I’m guessing this is from pulling in and out of my pocket where I keep my keys, saying that the paint job isn’t that bad and it does feel solidly made and still lightweight.

The pods only fit in one way and are held tight and snug by pretty strong magnets and there’s no rattle whatsoever.

moti pod connections

So, looks good, not a bad build, and of course, the million-dollar question is, how does the MOTI pod kit vape?

How Does the MOTI Pod Kit Perform?

I’ll start with the open or refillable pod set-up as that’s the kit you get retail.

I found filling to be an absolute cinch – but do keep an eye on that stopper under the top-cap – it does have a tendency to bounce off your desk!

The pods are clear so you can see your juice level and once filled I left it to stand for 10 minutes. Incidentally, those fill ports are quite small and I did find a couple of nozzles were a tight fit so you might want to decant some juice into bottles with smaller of needle ones.

moti pod fill ports

I used x2 types of juice – a tobacco flavoured vape juice with a 50/50 VG and PG blend and also a 70/30 mix to see how the MOTI pods handled different viscosity.

BTW MOTI recommends this pod kit for nicotine salts – sadly I’m all out so couldn’t put those to the test!

Charge time was a little slow at 50 minutes and there’s pass-thru so you can vape whilst the device is charging.

Using each of the pod kits separately I was getting about 6 to 8 hours vape time before needing to recharge – so not bad battery life. BTW the company reckons you can get 24 hours vaping from one charge…

50:50 VG PG

No problems filling as the nozzle was thin enough to fit in no bother.

I let the coil prime for a good ten minutes and to be honest wasn’t that impressed by the first hit.

Patience is a virtue they tell me and once that coil broke in – after around half a fill vaped – the flavour whilst not popping was on the better side of good with decent clouds too.

Chain vaping saw no dry hits so the wicking is very good indeed.

Over three weeks in and so far I’ve had no leaks from the runnier 50:50 VG/PG juice whatsoever, and as I’ve said they’ve been out and about in my pocket a lot.

Good vapour too.

moti pod kit in hand

70:30 VG PG

Just a slight issue with filling as the nozzle from the 12 Monkeys Origins Papio was a little large but I got there in the end.

The flavour was obviously nowhere near a dripper or tank or come to that those pod kits using the FEELM system. But to give a bit of credit where it’s due, the flavour was just a tad over the better side of good, especially once half a fill in and the coil settled.

Again and despite being 70/30 VG PG, the coil kept up with wicking without breaking a sweat and no hint of a dry hit.

I do have to say this is probably better with 50/50 blends and obviously with nic salts.

Very good vapour too but no way can you really get even the most restricted lung hit.

How Tight A Draw Is the MOTI Pod Kit?

Now this is where they’ve absolutely nailed it and then some!

This is an extremely tight vape – but not uncomfortably so.

There’s no airflow control so you get what you get and if you like a very restricted Mouth to Lung (MTL) vape then this pod is for you.

moti pod tight draw

I do prefer a more airy vape even on MTL devices, however even if this one is around the 9/10 mark with 10 being the tightest, I still quite enjoyed it.

I’d definitely say this is one for smokers looking to start vaping as the draw is very reminiscent of a lit cigarette.

Pre-Filled Pods

The website is a little confusing as there’s no listing of the flavoured filled pods anywhere I can see!

They do exist as I’ve found them online lol. Again I’m not sure how many there actually is, I’ve received x5 so lets put them to the taste test.

The flavoured pods are 20mg nic salt-based and are 1.8ml capacity.

Watermelon Ice

watermelon ice

Nope, I don’t do menthol and trust me if you do this one is ice for your brain!

Love the watermelon flavour that comes in on the inhale, but a split second later that brain freeze hits!

Too icy for me, but real menthol lovers will love it.

Lemon Tea

lemon tea

Lemon is one of my go-to e-liquid flavours and the smell off this pod is divine.

Wow is all I can say talk about a lemon face – this one is tart!

No sweeteners whatsoever and trust me after a few draws you get used to it.

Palate cleansing – fresh and extremely refreshing – love this one!

Menthol

menthol

Yikes, yet another brain freeze!

As I always say I don’t do menthol vapes at all and could only manage a couple of hits off this one!

Another one for the brain freeze vaping freaks out there lol.

Mango Ice

mango ice

Again lovely split-second fruity inhale before that bloody ice takes over!

Not more to say really – apart from the obvious – I don’t do menthol lol.

I have a feeling the lovers of strong menthol fruity vapes will love the ones MOTI has mixed 😉

Tobacco

tobacco

Ah, more on my flavour profile.

If like me you like a full-bodied almost harsh tobacco flavoured e-liquid that comes with a hint of sweetness, you’ll love this one!

Despite being nic salt based this has a very good throat hit – actually made me cough a couple of times!

Love this one!

Mung Bean

mung bean

Say WHAT?

Anyone who watched the US Office will know that Creed grew these under his desk filling the place with the smell of ‘old men’ lol.

Sprouting mung beans can and do stink the place out so I was a little nervous trying this one!

Whilst nowhere near smelling as bad there is a weird aroma off this one that I can’t put my finger on.

It’s quite sweet if a little cloying with a coolada effect from the exhale to the inhale.

Leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I do not like this one at all.

Weird is the word!

Pros

  • Tight draw!
  • Good vapour
  • Flavour OK
  • Nice design
  • Reasonably well built
  • Simple to use
  • Quick charge
  • Decent battery life
  • Pods last well
  • Open or closed pods
  • Good price-point
  • Good braided USB cable

Cons

  • Fill ports could be larger
  • Flavour could be tweaked a little
  • White device marks easy
  • Lanyard only available separately
  • Pre-filled pods a little pricey

Final Review Verdict

Let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way first.

MOTI is the company behind the disposable MOJO device that has had reports of over-heating issues.

mojo disposable vape

I received a couple of MOJO devices before these were reported, and have used them out and about until empty with no issues at all.

The company says they’ve ironed out the problems from the earlier batch of the MOJO. However, I won’t be reviewing them as I was just sent them for my thoughts which will be winging their way to the company.

OK back to the MOTI pod kit – which has NOT had any such overheating issues.

Look, it’s yet another pod kit, with nothing really innovative going on at all, apart from that 6th Generation Honeycomb ceramic coil I suppose.

Like most out there, it’s simple to use and it’s good you can choose either open or closed pods.

It’s certainly good looking and lightweight so ideal for out and about or as a back-up, particularly with nic salts.

Flavour whilst slightly on the better side of good in the open pods certainly hasn’t made my taste buds dance with joy. It is fair to say the flavours in the closed pods are most definitely strong – those ice and menthol ones, in particular, are impressively potent lol.

As for that mung bean? *shudders* lol.

I said earlier the tightness of the draw is a key factor here, it’s very tight and I guess if you’re a smoker looking for MOTIvation to quit, this one might be one to consider.
