From the Rage 200w regulated squonk mod to the Squonky bottom fed, sub ohm mesh tank, the Bulldog tank and the Cut Premium 220w, we’ve definitely seen some innovation and good quality vape gear from these guys.

What Can We Expect From The More Pro by Desire Design?

The More Pro is a pod system made from aluminium with a 1000mAh battery. It’s finish is a “hard prototype oxidation technology” which makes it tough and able to keep up with everyday life without the paint peeling or chipping.

Featuring a 2ml capacity pod which houses a Stainless Steel 1.2ohm coil, will the Desire Designs More Pro fulfil all my pod vaping desires? Let’s find out!

Design and Build Quality

The Desire Design More Pro comes nicely packaged with all the usual bits and bobs you’d expect to find in the box.

I received the red colour which is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful finish.

The aluminium body is really lightweight but has a good solid and sturdy feel to it. It doesn’t feel like I’d dent it or damage it from a simple drop.

The overall look of the kit is super sleek and very pocket friendly in size, being just slightly bigger than an 18650 battery.

The More Pro has one button which is used to fire the mod and to turn the device off and on. The button is encircled by a pretty bright, 3 colour LED.

On the left hand side of the mod you will find the micro USB charge port.

Pods

The pods are secured into the main housing with two fairly strong magnets. I haven’t had the pod dislodge accidentally at any point and it feels really secure.

Each pod will hold 2ml of e-liquid and has a Stainless Steel 1.2 ohm coil.

I really like the shape of the pods as they’re really easy to grip and remove for filling but also very comfortable to vape on.

Each pod also comes with its own little rubber stopper to help prevent any pocket fluff or dirt from collecting inside the mouthpiece. I’m glad it comes with each pod though as I’ve already lost one!

I’ve got zero complaints about how the More Pro looks and feels. It looks great with minimal branding and the overall fit and finish is pretty much perfect.

Quick Start Guide

Basic Operation

• 5 Clicks turns the device on (LED will flash green)
• 5 Clicks turns the device off (LED will flash red)
• Battery Indicator: <30% Red
• 30% – 70% Yellow
• 70% + Green

How To Change the Pod and Refill

• Locate the rubber stopper on the side of your new pod.

• Open the and fill it up with your favourite e-liquid.

• Leave the pod to stand for around 3 – 5 minutes to allow the cotton to fully saturate and prevent your coil from burning out too soon.
• Insert the pod into the device.
• You will see the LED flash 3 times to show the pod has been recognised.
• That’s it. Just press the button to vape!

Charging

• Charging the More Pro is super simple.
• Plug the included micro USB cable into a suitable outlet and then into your device.
• Mine has been taking around an hour to charge from under 30% to full.
• The LED will show red for under 30%, yellow for 70 – 30% and green for 70% + but will turn off completely once the device is fully charged.

How Does the Desire Designs More Pro Perform?

For this review I’ve been using Pacha Mama Salts in Honeydew Melon which is 50/50 VG/PG and 10mg in nicotine strength but I’ve also tried it with some 70/30 VG/PG to see if the pod could handle it.

The Desire Design More Pro is button activated and really simple to use. The position of the button is really comfortable and has a satisfying click when you press it.

For me, this is the perfect Mouth to Lung (MTL) vape. There’s enough restriction to give you the feeling of pulling on a cigarette but not so much that you’re drawing your cheeks together to get any vape from it.

You can, at a push, take short Direct to Lung (DTL) vapes if you want to but in my opinion, it’s more suited to MTL.

Info: The Difference Between MTL and DTL Vaping

The pods wick really well. There’s no over saturation giving you liquid on your tongue and even chain vaping, I’ve yet to have a dry hit. Even when I filled up with 70/30 VG/PG.

Again, no complaints from me on performance. The More Pro has never missed a beat in the time I’ve been using it.

Flavour and Clouds

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the More Pro is the best pod kit for flavour that I’ve tried so far. The Honeydew Melon is smooth and super sweet and even my favourite Apple Jam tasted spot on. I cannot fault the flavour this little guy is chucking out.

Clouds aren’t huge as you’d expect from a pod system but the More Pro provides a respectable amount of vapour that won’t disappoint. I’m sure the trickers amongst you could easily manage to blow few ‘Os’.

Pod Life

Desire Designs say 4 – 6 fills before changing the pod but after 2 weeks of usage and 4 – 5 fills, I’d be inclined to believe you’ll get more than that before this little pod gives up.

Mine’s certainly showing no signs of giving up just yet.

Battery Life

Using the Desire More Pro alongside my go-to direct to lung (DTL) 3mg set ups, I can get around 2 days, maybe a little more, before I need to charge it. Very respectable for a pod of its size. And with it only taking about an hour to charge, you can’t really complain.

Final Review Verdict

I tried really, really hard to come up with a con for the Desire Designs More Pro. Even just one little niggly point but I couldn’t.

From its clean and beautiful finish to the fantastic flavour, I just can’t fault it.

Everything about the More Pro feels high quality and it’s quite quickly taken the top spot as my favourite pod system.

If you’re looking for a solid little pod system that’s lightweight, durable and easy on the eye whilst still providing great flavour then I can’t recommend the More Pro any more highly!

Plus at around £20 (at the time of review) and with two pods included, it’s not going to break the bank.

If I lost it tomorrow I’d definitely replace and to be honest, I’m probably going to buy myself another one. Just in case!

Key Features

Apart from the strange shape the key here is what Desire Design is calling the ‘novice mode’ which in effect means the chip recognizes the resistance of the coil and auto sets the wattage accordingly and locks it in.

It’s something we’ve seen before but useful I guess for those new to sub ohm vaping. The company says this means no more coil burn out from setting the wattage too high…
There’s also an advanced mode which means you can set the wattage yourself and the rest of the menu is refreshingly easy to get to.

Once you’ve clicked fast 3 times apart from novice and advanced modes you’ll find:

• Colour – which obviously changes the screen colours
• LED Set – changes the LED colours and lights to off – on or when firing
• Device – puff reset – default setting and version details

And that’s pretty much it – all very simple and very intuitive.

Incidentally the LED Set function controls the light up Desire Design logo below the main screen…I prefer mine off.

The chip also has a raft of safety features including protections for low voltage – short circuit – over charging and many more.

The Bulldog sub ohm tank that comes with the kit has been reviewed in detail by Laura-ann here.

In a nutshell it’s a top fill with 3 and 4.3ml capacity and has three coil options: single – triple and quadruple. The kit comes with the 0.18 ohm triple mesh and the triple 0.2ohm coils.

Design and Build Quality

This is the first Desire Design device I’ve reviewed and I’m pretty impressed with the build quality first and foremost. Everything fits together nicely and the paint finish feels solid with little if any chance of flaking or chipping.

The battery door is secure to say the least and you really need to give it a tug to get it off – strong magnets indeed and definitely no rattle whatsoever – and the battery sled is also very clean and tidy.

OK onto the design and from the photos you might think it’s an uncomfortable mod to hold…far from it. Indeed the shape fits nicely in either the left or right hand and can be thumb or trigger finger fired and it’s pretty light too but maybe a little chunky for your pocket.

The screen is big but not as bright as you might think – maybe due to a smoked finish to the cover but still clear enough to see. However the colours are not the most vibrant – in fact they’re a little dull with that orange more of a muddy pool.

I really like the look and feel of the mod though and whilst it has that edgy contemporary feel to it – it also looks very futuristic and that etched logo on the side looks great and adds a certain understated elegance.

BTW the fire button is raised and in the shape of the Desire Design logo and all the buttons are pleasantly clicky with again no annoying rattle.

As you can see I received the White version which looks very stylish however the back panel and indeed screen are real fingerprint magnets.

One niggly issue I have is the placement of the 510 – it really is tight to one side leaving a ton of room to fit larger tanks and atties. Had they have centred it you’d be able to fit some real big boys on there

So…a good looking kit – simple menu – so how does this one vape?

How Does the Desire Cut Premium Perform?

My puff counter is reading 810 hits which shows just how often I’ve used this kit. The Desire Cut mod is a joy to use and I love love love that menu – so easy with no messing about. As a newbie bonus the novice mode does everything for you – just screw on your tank and vape!

Indeed I’ve used the device with my favourite RDAs and RTAs and nine times out of ten the chip picks the right wattage. Just once with the Kylin 2 I felt I needed more power so switched to advanced mode.

One thing that has impressed me is the ramp up time – super fast indeed even with a couple of hefty coils using a dripper it fired immediately.

Incidentally I didn’t test temperature control but I’m assured by those in the know it passes with flying colours with many reviewers stating the curves option works very well indeed.

So How’s the Included Tank?

As for the Bulldog tank as you can see from Laura-ann’s review she absolutely loved it receiving the same coil as I did in the kit.

It’s certainly a chunky tank to look at and has an easy top fill slide design. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by drippers and RTAs but personally I found the flavour whilst decent not amazing. It also took a couple of fills before I found I was getting the best flavour too – which from what I remember is about the norm for stock coils.

As a side note I much preferred the vape from the mesh coil finding 80w the sweet spot.

Final Review Verdict

The photos online don’t do justice to just how comfortable this mod is to hold – think a Wismec Reuleaux on comfy steroids and you’ll get the idea.

Design wise its understated yet elegant which is bang on my idea of a mod especially as you can turn off that LED logo lol.

Most impressive is the ramp up time – no matter what you pop on top the Cut Premium fires it up without a murmur – very good indeed.

As for the tank it’s not for me as I’m more into rebuildables however the flavour is certainly passable especially on the included mesh coil of which I got over two weeks vaping – so good longevity too.

My little brother is after a new mod and hopefully when he gets his hands on this one we might get him away from SMOK lol – because as dual battery mods go the Desire Cut Premium is one of the best I’ve seen all year…

So the Squonky Tank is a regular 2ml sub ohm tank that you can refill from the top cap. Or you can attach it to a device with a squonk bottle and extend the capacity to more or less anything that you’d like, but the average is anywhere between 5-10ml.

The Desire Design Squonky Tank is currently available in black and stainless steel finishes and a price was not available at the time of writing.

Build Quality & Design

I’m looking at the stainless steel version today, so lets have a look from the top down!

The Drip Tip:

The drip tip is made from a honeycomb resin and is 510 sized. It attaches to the top cap via two o-rings located on the base of the drip tip.

The Top Fill Port:

The top-side fill port is accessed by turning the heavily knurled portion at the top of the tank.

There’s even ‘open’ and ‘close’ and what direction you need to turn the top cap etched into the top, just incase you randomly forget what way you have to turn it.Filling is as easy as pie too!

Tank Glass/Centre section:

The tank glass is an integral part of the tank and cannot be removed or replaced when broken. Well… Not from what I can see anyway. So just be careful with this one!There’s also some nice Desire Design etching to the metal in the centre too!

The Airflow & Base:

The airflow comes in the form of dual cyclops holes.

The airflow control ring is very easy to move and has some simple knurling to aid in gripping the tank. It turns with relative ease, but not enough to budge whilst you’re using it.

At the base of the tank we have the usual branding by Desire Design.

In the base of the tank, there is a small hole in the o-ring which aligns with the tube that squonks directly into the tank.

How Does The Desire Design Squonky Tank Perform?

With the Squonky Tank, you get two coils, the 0.4ohm mesh coil and a 0.8ohm ceramic coil. Lets take them for a toot!

0.4ohm Mesh Coil (25-40w)

The flavour on this coil isn’t anything to write home about in all honesty… I have tried it at all wattages within the “best” range as well as the overall range, and couldn’t find a sweet spot.The best I could get this coil to perform was at 38w, and still I got a metallic, old-coil taste at all times.

Personally, I think that this coil is a great disappointment especially considering previous Desire Design products have been great quality! Nevertheless, the coil life has been quite good with this tank at around 12 days.

Pros

Final Review Verdict

So, the Desire Design Squonky Tank is probably one of a few stock coil squonking tanks on the market. Does this tank have a specific place in the scene?

Unfortunately not. I really hate to say this, but it just doesn’t function as it should. If you bring out a tank that is refillable by squonking into it, it should do exactly that.

When you squonk into the tank, you have to have the top fill open, to let the pressure out. And even when you do this, the tank fills, but then what you’ve just squonked into the tank gets sucked out again.

So you might as well use this as a completely stock coil tank. And yes, I have made sure that everything is aligned properly and nothing is blocking the tubes etc, and it still performs the same. I have also checked out other reviews on the product on YouTube and they are all experiencing the same problems.

One thing that I do have to give props to Desire Design for is actually trying. Pushing the boundaries slightly and seeing what can be done.

I had the extreme pleasure of sampling the brand’s Rage Squonker, a collab with public figure, Ohm Boy OC, earlier this year and it remains my favourite squonk mod on the market.

Also drawing rave reviews for Desire design currently are the Mad Mod and X-mini mod, which look simply breathtaking and, apparently, perform just as well…i need to get my paws on those.

With the Rage, the brand’s attention to aesthetics and the outstanding quality of build astounded me and, with the Bulldog sub ohm tank, my sentiments are exactly the same.

My god…this tank is beautiful.

One of the reasons that this review is a little late in coming is that the brand alleges a 70% longer lifespan off their coils and cotton in the Bulldog tank. I decided to put this to the test.

Luckily I received 2 Bulldog tanks, so I was able to review both included coils options over the course of a month. I am still vaping on the same coils, which, for me, is unheard of since I’m an extremely heavy vaper…I’m sold. Claims verified!

Build Quality & Design

I can’t describe how lucky I felt when I opened up that DHL vape mail to find not one but two Desire Bulldog tanks, one in blue and one in red.

Opening up the boxes, I instantly recognised the quality of material, aesthetic and finish which blew me away with the Rage sqounker. The brand uses a unique sandblasted finish on the coloured parts (aluminium components) of the tank, along with the perfect proportions, lines and details of their designs, make for some sexy sexy stuff, let me tell you.

The attention to detail is obvious, right down to the way their bulb glass and spare glass tubes are finished. The edges are gently rounded and smoothed…checking their glass against other spares from popular tanks, I can actually see the difference. Everything is is just….perfect and pleasing.

The Coil Heads:

I want to start with a description of the coil heads, because they’re the component that’s claimed, by the brand, to have a 70% longer lifespan. Not only is the cotton extremely high quality Xingjian cotton but the coiling wire is actually dry resistant, eliminating carbon deposit and build up and extending the lifespan of these heads.

I was instantly impressed by the massive holes around the sides of both included heads.

Usually such huge holes…these should make for a smooth vape and…having never seen holes quite so big around a coil head, I imagine the effect on flavour will be pronounced,

Also, the cotton is clearly high quality and raw, as I can see the fibres sticking out here and there, long fibres, curly fibres. The cotton is nicely packed, dense but with a bit of give so there’s space for juice in there and there’s a hang of a lot of cotton wrapped around those coils.

The Tank:

The tank is stainless steel, with the coloured components (the sliding top cap and the airflow ring) being aviation grade aluminium.

The 25mm base has a neat 510 connection.

The base consists of a coloured airflow ring, with a thin band of stainless steel below it and a slightly thicker one above.

Movement of the ring offers perfect resistance and is smooth, smooth smooth.

There are 6 neat notches on the ring as knurling, along with 2 remarkably thick, long airflow slots…20mm long each and over 3mm wide.

Bubble glass has been fitted, through which that beefy, flavour absorbing, pre-installed mesh coil head is visible.

Above that is the top cap…split into a fixed SS band, with a seam around the middle and two SS lips on either side…and a textured and tapered sliding top cap, for easy top fill.

The top cap mechanism is flawless and the tapers either side give the tank a unique and beautiful look.

Those tapers are functional…at least one is. The side that you push to open the cap is textured and the taper, when you are filling, will cause any spilled juice to roll back down into the hole. Neat and perfect, wow.

The drip tip is easy to remove, perfectly fitted and it is, hands down, the most beautiful drip tip you’ll get included with a tank…if you ask me.

The drip tip has a stainless steel band at the bottom and that band is the only place you’ll see branding anywhere oil the piece.

The resin on the blue tank is silver and blue, while then red tank had a magnificent multicolour tip. These are drip tips I would pay big money for…they are absolutely beautiful, wounded out in the tube and around the edges…super comfortable on the lips.

One thing, although they are 810’s, people with larger lips might find them a little small. For me, they are perfect.

How Does The Desire Design Bulldog Tank Perform?

From start to finish the Desire Bulldog is a winner. Ease of use and build quality are the first things you’ll notice, then comes the outstanding airflow which is smooth as dreams and variable from an insanely open to a stunning restricted airflow vape.

I’ve really put both my Bulldog tanks through STRESS, extended periods of vaping at the top of the wattage for the included coils. Heat distribution is excellent and while the tank can get hot when really pushed, it cools down exceptionally fast.

Break down is extremely smooth and all the moving parts are excellently machined and smooth functioning.

The tank blows my mind, performance wise and, along with the Rage squonker, has made me a serious fan of Desire Design…I am now watching this brand hard and am determined to own as much of their gear as possible.

I have quite a large friendship group and, since I’m SA based, where vaping isn’t as big a thing yet, necessarily, I tend to spend a lot of time passing my vape around and taking in the comments. I lost count of the times that friends hit on this big guy and said…”shit, that’s the best one yet.” Or something to that effect.

It’s smooth, it’s flavourful, it chucks clouds and it looks gorgeous while doing it.

How To Fill

• Push the top cap away from the side with grip texturing
• Fill through the ample slot

How To Change the Coil

• Unscrew the glass from the base
• Unscrew the coil head from its seating
• Replace

Bulldog Tank Stock Coil Performance

Claims such as 70% longer lifespan have that ‘water off a duck’s back’ effect on most of us. We don’t believe them, period. With this tank and these coil heads…I decided it was worth staying the course and really seeing whether there’s truth to the claim. I’m overjoyed to inform you that, in my experience, the claim is entirely justified.

With your average, let’s say, Smok coil of a similar range, I can guarantee you that the way I vaped on these guys, those coil heads would have been finished over a week ago but both the mesh and the triple are vaping beautifully after almost a month, with barely any colour change on the cotton.

What’s more, washing this cotton off under a tap will be even more effective than normal, due to those massive intake holes around the coil head.

0.18Ohm Mesh Coil

Starting with the 0.18 ohm mesh coil, which has a massive 50-110W range. You couldn’t ask for more from a coil. pronounced, massive flavour and cloud…I enjoy this coil the most around 80W but it performs phenomenally throughout its range.

The 0.2 Ohm Triple coil will surprise you. The intensity of flavour for a non-mesh coil is something to write home about and, for a change, a coil that can sit for days at the top of its high wattage range without complaining. This one has an 80-130W range and delivers even more flavour than the mesh, with a beautiful, warm 110W this baby, if you’re not a sub-homer yet, you will now become one.

This sub-ohm winner from Desire Design is my new go-to tank for medium to high wattage vaping and is now the standard by which I, as a reviewer, will judge the sub-ohm tanks I sample.

I can’t recommend a sub-ohm tank more highly than I do the Desire Design Bulldog.
And..

Would I buy the Desire Design Bulldog tank if I lost/broke the device? 100 million percent, yes!

The Desire Mad Mod is a little different but also gives a sense of familiarity which I think most people will like.

This kit is trying to offer something different to their other products to meet other parts of the vaping market and by the end of this review hopefully you will be able to judge if these differences are for the better or worse.

Design and Build Quality

The design of the Desire Mad Mod isn’t too different however it does break the norm.

Deasire Design have decided to go thin and long which isn’t noticeable until you hold it or stand it next to another single battery mod.

The benefits of this design along with it being easy to hold is it can use 18650, 20700 and 21700 batteries. It appears more mods are looking to be universal with battery types.

The 510 connection is located right in the middle of the mod which allows for tanks upto 25mm with no overhang. The tank that comes in this kit is in fact 25mm and looks very natural with no overhang and no gaps. The overall quality and hand feel is top notch.

M Tank

The tanks design is pretty standard however the filling slot is opened by pushing the top cap to one side which is cool and efficient.

Over time this filling push slot did get looser and now it has got to the stage it opens with the smallest push, I did put this tank through its paces. The only odd thing about the top of the mods design is it shows the fixing screws and its sometimes can look good but in this case it does not.

Screen

Lets now talk about the screen. It’s a little bit busy and doesn’t have a great layout. To its credit it is bright enough even in the sun and shows all the information you need.

If I could change one thing it would be to make the voltage display smaller to make everything else fit a little better. The menu system is a simple three clicks of the fire button and plus and minus buttons to scroll through the options, simple and to the point which every vaper new or old need.

How Does The Desire Mad Mod Kit Perform?

The performance matches that of the X-Mini which I reviewed recently. When using a 21700 the mod can go up to 108 watts which is more than enough for most sub ohm tanks, I personally vape around 80 watts on most tanks.

Its basic design and functions are refreshing as I found it effortless to use and it was an easy pick when deciding on a mod to take out for the day.

M Tank

0.4ohm coil (Preinstalled)

This coil is very average, ok flavour and clouds but in today’s market it is shadowed by it competitors. I’ve been running this coil at 60-80 watts and found it had decent performance but nothing special, the life of the coil I found to last 3 weeks with moderate usage. I would even rate the smok coils over this one due to them delivering more flavour.

0.15ohm Mesh Coil

This one is a massive improvement to the 0.4ohm. First the flavour is elevated and you can pick up on nites lost in the last coil. I also found other improvements in vapour product and coil life. I believe the coil should last around 1 month. Mesh coils have become very popular over the last few months and even though this one is good it’s not the best. The title still goes to the Freemax Mesh Pro tank.

Overall I wasn’t 100% impressed with the tank and found it average flavour and cloud production. It’s certainly a usable tank but it wouldn’t enter into my top 10 sub ohm tanks of all time. The airflow was smooth enough and did provide plenty of air for running coils at high wattage without getting too hot.

Also another part to mention which is overlooked is the drip tip which is comfortable and allows you to vape without any issues such as getting too hot or not the right size.

The battery life lasted an impressive about of time considering it only holds one battery. It lasted a day when using a 20700 or 21700, with an 18650 it did struggle to last the day at high wattage but that is to be expected.

Final thoughts

The Desire Mad Mod kit is solid and will offer everything you need for a beginner from reliability to ok flavour. Experienced vapers who are into RTAs and Drippers might enjoy the mod for its basic design and easy to use functionality. However the tank would last 5 min compared to their everyday RDA.

This kit is for the vaper who wants something reliable, simple and doesn’t have LED’s. The Mad Mod takes me back to the original mox mods but this one is slim and can fit the new era batteries. The tank does let down the kit down a little bit, not due to its faults but more due to it not living up to its rivals.

In conclusion Desire continue to make great mods which are high quality and work well, this is no exception.

Design and Build Quality

If you are familiar with Desire Designs products you would know that their build quality is extremely high. Flawless paint finish through out, strong quality metals used and with zero wiggle or rattle adds up to one high end mod.

The luxury quality metals used makes for a sturdy mod that looks and feels amazing but unfortunately makes it heavier then a cheap plastic alternative. The buttons used are solid and very clicky, which will satisfy most users and are reassuring to last a long time.

The design follows on from the X-Mod with its unusual T-Bone shape. Surprisingly it is more comfortable to hold than expected and it can be fired with thumb or index fingers.

In my opinion thumb firing with this mod if far more comfortable but even then its not the most ergonomic. It also includes a light in the middle of the mod in the shape of the companies logo which gets brighter the longer you hold down the fire button.

Whats special about this particular mod is the different types of batteries it can fit, the Desire X Mini can hold an 18650 with an adapter, 20700 or a 21700 which is an insane amount of battery options for one mod. I personally have been using a 20700 and been loving the life and power it gives me, I would defiantly recommend this battery type over the 18650 if you are looking at buying this mod.

The screen is basic but informative to everything you need to know. Its bright and can be seen in direct sunlight which cant be said for many new mods hitting. It seems like a small detail but being able to see and change your output in direct sunlight is a must have to some people. Even though the screen didnt blow me away with anything flashing or pretty colours,I still very much like it.
The overall look reminds me of the Marvel hero ‘Iron Man’ which has the resemblance of Iron Man having a light in the center of his chest. I don’t believe this is on purpose however it is the first thing that came to my mind.

Everything about it shows quality and with its only set backs being its weight and the max tank size it can support without overhang is 26mm, so if you have anything bigger this might not be the tank for you.

How Does The Desire X Mini Perform?

In 2018 most new mods perform exactly how you expect them to. The current craze in mods it to have a super fast response time on the fire button, this unfortunately isn’t a feature of the Desire X mini.

The ramp up speed by today’s standards is slow however with curve mode you can select a high spike in power to start and then drop down.

All other features have been tested and work better than could be expected. Temperature control works perfectly with all the popular materials, the functionality on the temperature mode can be considered lacking but it gets the job done.

When compared to a similar mod like the Vaporesso Armour Pro ,which can use the same batteries, the Armour pro has additional features like 2.5amp quick charging and adjustable voltage modes it seems to be the better choice. The vaporesso mod is not only packed with more features it is also much lighter and smaller.

Menu Operation

The menu is very simplistic and easy to use. Simply pressing 3 times on the fire button will highlight the mod you are in and give you the ability to switch through the options listed below.

Battery Life

This depends on what batteries you are looking to use. A single 18650 should last you the day with moderate use but to be safe I recommend a 20700 or 21700 which will last you the day and give you all the power you need.

Final Thoughts

Can you get smaller, lighter mods that do more… yes, yes you can. However I’m always finding myself picking it up. Do not underestimate the cool factor of a mod, it you don’t like the way your mod looks and feels you wont use it as much as you would like. This mod is super cool and does everything you need to a very high degree.

The biggest competition for this mod is the Vaporesso Armour Pro and if I had to choose between these two I would pick the Armour Pro. This does not mean it isn’t as good choice, its the features and the size of the Pro that won me over but I will still be using the X Mini to impress my friends.

I would 100% recommend this vape mod to anyone who wants something flashy but elegant, simple but capable of any vaping task.
