I have to admit I am struggling to find out much about the “Inhale” brand?

However Augvape are not newbies when it comes to making a good rebuildable. There was the Druga RDA followed by the Druga 2 RDA, Druga S, BTFC and the Druga RTA.

What Is New For The Augvape Alexa S24 RDA?

The name tells you a lot about this RDA – the “S24” means it is 24mm in diameter and the “RDA” tells you what type of atomiser it is – a Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser!

At first glance the main striking feature is how short it is. This is not only a nice RDA to look at but the height means the vapour coming off the coil is already pretty close to the mouthpiece ideal for more flavour!

The deck looks really funky and futuristic with the branding and colour coding.

There are 4 clamp screws which secure the clamp brackets which should mean you can install plenty of different variants of a single coil in here. Plus the deck being 24mm means you are less limited with coil size too!

The airflow is adjustable with the trusty old “rotating barrel” which opens and closes the airflow inlet on the base of the RDA. This airflow then is channelled to each side of the coil to give a good all round airflow.

Included in the kit are a solid 510 pin (for dripping) or you can install the Bottom Feed (BF) hollow 510 pin for use on a Squonk mod.

The drip tip is an 810 type but the kit does include an adaptor so you can use a 510 tip on here as well.

There are 3 colour options to choose from – Matt Black, Black Chrome and Stainless Steel.

So far the Augvape Foxy range includes the Foxy Mod and Foxy One Mod so adding a pod kit version seems to make sense!

What To Expect From The Augvape Foxy Pod Kit…

As you can see this is a pod kit which is designed to be super simple to use.

Sadly the Augvape website is not exactly bursting with information so I will try my best to tell you what I know!

Firstly inside the pod is a 500mAh battery which is charged via the USB Type C port at up to 1.5A charge rate.

The output is not specified but this does have a simple to use “Auto Draw” feature. This means no buttons to press you simply inhale on the mouthpiece and the device will fire!

An LED indicator is provided but there is no mention of what this actually indicates!

Moving on to the pod – this is a fixed coil pod – which means when the coil has past its best you dispose of the pod and replace with a new one.

Inside each pod is a 1.2ohm OCC (Organic Cotton Coil) which is in a mesh style. Mesh coils usually provide better flavour and longer coil life.

The pod holds up to 1.7ml of your own e-liquid and is filled using the side fill port.

There are 4 colour options to choose from: Black, Red, Brown and Blue.

There was the original Druga RDA followed by the Druga 22 Squonk Kit, Druga Foxy Mod, Druga Narada Pod, Druga 2 RDA and the Druga RTA.

What Is New For The Augvape Druga S RDA?

I will warn you now this preview is super basic. Why? Because the Augvape website gives so little detail on this new release.

As you can see from the few images provided this has gone down the route of a super low profile RDA. The height is only 27mm which isn’t much more than the diameter of 22mm.

Included in the kit is a beauty ring which sits on the deck and makes the base diameter up to 24mm which will look better on some box or tube mods.

Talking of the deck – this has a single or dual wire coil build deck with 2 posts? Not sure how the dual coil bit works? Do you put both coils into the same posts and bend them apart? Who knows!

The deck is otherwise pretty spacious with a massive 4.3mm deep juice well.

This can be used with the installed solid 510 pin as a dripper, or you can convert it to use on Squonk Mods with the included hollow bottom feed 510 squonk pin.

Turn the AFC (Airflow Control) ring to adjust the incoming airflow to your preference.

An 810 drip tip is installed – the contents also mention a “510 Adaptor” which I am assuming is to convert the top cap to use a 510 drip tip if you want?

When it comes to colours there is some confusion…

The Augvape website shows a Pink and Red version only, despite other photos showing different colours.

Looking on Vendor websites I have seen Matte Silver, Matte Gunmetal, Matte Black and Silver.

This is a single battery device that has a C Frame design and very simple yet striking it looks too.

OK, as I always say, I’ve worked alongside Augvape for a number of years now and in general enjoy its products.

Standouts over the years have been the awesome BFTC RDA [still my go to dripper] – I recently reviewed the Augvape Druga RTA [that’s now my go to] and another great Augvape mod is the VTEC 1.8 wow on that one!

The Foxy One gets it’s name from the original Druga Foxy mod – but as you’ll see, neither have much in common if at all.

What Can We Expect From the Augvape Foxy One Mod?

Great performance is the key here.

Whilst the device might look good – it needs to perform well…that’s me being Captain Obvious again lol.

There’s x3 vape modes: Variable Wattage – Bypass and Voltage and we’ll be obviously looking at those.

The Foxy One mod was sent to me direct from Augvape – thank you – and as always my thoughts and opinions are not swayed by freebies…despite what some might think for fox sake lol.

Key Features

As you can see from the specs and features, the Augvape Foxy One Mod is a single 21700/20700/18650 battery device with a max power of 120w – dependent on the type of battery you’re using.

It’s the follow up to the original Augvape Druga Foxy that I reviewed a little over 2 years ago.

The name is really about the only thing the two mods share as the Augvape Foxy One is a very different animal, as we’ll find out in this review.

It’s a classic C Frame design – which I love – and has x3 functions: Variable Wattage, Variable Voltage and Bypass, the latter performing similar to a mech mod.

Unlike the original, there’s no fancy clamp your atomizer feature, just a plain and simple 510 screw on connection and you can just about get away with a 25mm atty – 24mm looks best.

It’s available in: Black & Green Leather, Gunmetal & Alcantara, Copper & Wood Pattern, Leather and Silver & Black Leather and the Gunmetal & Brown Leather that I received.

Augvape Foxy One Mod – Design and Build Quality

I’ve already alluded to the fact I love both the look, and using C Frame styled vape mods, and with the Augvape Foxy One, it was love at first sight looks wise.

Indeed one of my very first proper mods – used in my early reviews – was the old Yosta Livepor 160w – a lighter yet tough mod you’d be hard to find – cheap as chips too and still works beautifully!

Design wise, the Augvape Foxy One Mod, has a very Lost Vape look and feel to it – but without the premium price – that’s a compliment BTW.

I received the gun metal and brown leather version and on reading the box, I was admittedly a little annoyed – I do prefer my black mods lol. However, once out of the box, and topped with the matching gunmetal Augvape Druga RTA , I fell in love – a very smart and classy set-up!

Build wise and this is a solid piece of kit in every way, there’s some weight to this one especially with my 20700 battery – not excessive, just enough to know this is built to last.

So my kind of design and built extremely well…all sounds good – let’s see how it performs…

How Does the Augvape Foxy One Mod Perform?

First up a simple quick start guide:

• Press fire button x5 is off and on
• Press fire button x3 fast to enter menu
• Hit fire button to choose option
• To return hold fire button or leave the mod for 5 seconds
• Press fire to vape lol
• Up and down button together locks mod/settings

The C Frame pulls away nicely from the device and it does take a little bit of pressure as those magnets are very strong indeed.

You slot the battery into the C Frame and then pop that back onto the mod BTW. The 18650 adapter works like a charm if you don’t own one of the bigger ones.

I’m not really a vaping anorak so to speak lol, however I have found myself getting excited about the buttons on the Augvape Foxy One Mod…listen, it’s been a long trying year lol and it’s the little things that brighten my day ha!

The throw on them is among the best I’ve had the pleasure of clicking…yeah I know, I’m getting old and sad…but hey it is what it is

The menu is a doddle to navigate with the bypass mode blowing your socks off [more power more power] so be careful on your build – and it’s the same with the Voltage mode – wow that’s some hit.

I tend to stick with regular variable wattage and comparing it to a DNA – it felt about right, maybe a little under powered – but only a touch…plus I was using a 20700.

I’ll say it again, in the hand this feels wonderfully ergonomic and genuinely feels like a high end product…

Yeah…I’m smitten!

Augvape Foxy One Mod Final Review Verdict

I like it – I like it a lot and go as far to say I bloody love it!

The design is simple yet elegant – less is more in this case – and it is beautifully put together – foxy indeed.

Menu wise it’s dead simple and despite not having a temperature control feature.

Not much more to say apart from this is one of the best vape releases of the year…and then some.

At the time of review it’s hasn’t hit the shops yet – however have you got your hands on one?

Once again, hugely popular YouTube vape reviewer, Mike Vapes, is the man behind the design having collaborated with the three other versions of the Intake range.

Augvape is one of the better vape manufacturers hailing out of China and in general produce good quality vape gear at mid range prices.

I’ve reviewed a lot of the company’s products finding the majority very good indeed including: the recently reviewed Augvape Druga RTA which I rate very highly – still my go to dripper the BTFC RDA and my daily mod the awesome Augvape and Mass Mods S2 semi-mech squonker.

I’ve been a little luke warm on the Intake series so let’s see if the Augvape Intake MTL RTA warms my opinion up somewhat.

What Can We Expect From the Augvape Intake MTL RTA?

As the name suggests this is designed for mouth to lung vaping and takes a single coil.

It features an interesting airflow set up, with individually sized inserts to swap in and out, as well as a top airflow ring – so plenty of options.

And to top it off, the familiar Intake airflow ‘pipes’ once again feature on the deck.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – Specs and Features

Key Features

This is a single coil RTA designed for mouth to lung vaping and is once again a collaboration with YouTube reviewer Mike Vapes and Augvape.

It’s a top airflow and fill design and Augvape is pushing the line this one’s leak free – we shall of course see.

There’s a choice of glass which changes the vape juice capacity from 3.1ml with the straight glass to 4.6ml using the bubble glass.

I’ve had a look and can’t see a TPD friendly 2ml version, so your best bet – if you want this MTL RTA – looks like using our link [cheapest I could find].

OK, sales pitch over lol.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – Airflow Control Inserts

I guess the real key feature here is the airflow inserts, which technically should change the amount of airflow from totally restricted to a looser more airy vape.

We’ve seen this style of airflow insert before, including on the Vandy Vape Berserker V2 MTL RDA – which worked well it was just the flavour I didn’t like – and Augvape’s own Augvape Merlin Nano RTA, which I felt was a bloody awesome vape.

All told, there’s x5 airflow inserts with one already installed which I’m ‘guessing’ is the 1.4mm – here’s the sizes: 1.8mm – 1.6mm – 1.4mm – 1.2mm and 1.0mm.

Now I might be getting old and due an eye check, but these inserts are tiny and I mean tiny. I have looked under a bright light and for the life of me I can’t see any numbers!

So I guess you judge with the naked eye…like I said, they’re so small, there’s literally no room for numbers – correct me if I’m wrong but like I said…fading eyesight and desperately in need of new glasses lol – more on the airflow inserts in a mo’.

Back to the airflow and Mike has continued with the Intake deck design – those two intake pipes climbing above the deck.

The top airflow control ring features x5 tiny holes that reduce in size, so along with the inserts, you should really be able to tailor your perfect MTL vape.

The post ‘slots’ as you might expect are small with nice little Phillips style screws and there’s x4 spares in the box.

Wicking seems simple enough with generous holes for your cotton tails – we’ll look at the build in a little more detail next.

Design and Build Quality

Straight off the bat and this is a very smart looking MTL RTA, and that’s using both the straight and bubble glass.

The trademark Intake knurling is there and tastefully done and works very well indeed giving you plenty of grip.

The Augvape Intake MTL RTA logo looks like it’s engraved rather than laser etched and not at all ‘in your face‘ especially the stainless steel version I received.

Speaking of colours, there’s just x4 at the moment: Stainless Steel – Black – Gun Metal and Blue.

Build wise it is very nicely machined and really does have some weight to it.

Augvape has opted for a half bayonet style screw off top fill, which for me is a bit dated, as in nowadays we expect slide or swivel styles, but it is what it is…

So, a smart design – plenty of airflow options and great build quality, let’s slap a build in and swap those AF inserts about…

How Does the Augvape Intake MTL RTA Perform?

As always with vape reviews, no matter how it looks performance is the key, so let’s break down the Augvape Intake MTL RTA.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – Build and Wicking

I used one of the included MTL Clapton coils that had a resistance of 0.62ohms which I thought was a little low for an MTL RTA…the coils feel a little flimsy too.

Popping the coils in is an absolute breeze and the screws are of decent quality – just remember the screws are reverse threaded – yeah I was that vaper…nothing changes with me lol.

It’s a familiar style post hole/ slot, which means you simply slot the coil leg underneath the screw and tighten – easy.

Wicking is straightforward too, with the old adage less is more. I thinned mine out after cutting to just short of the deck [the juice will make those tails swell remember].

So dead simple to build on…now let’s look at those airflow inserts.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – Airflow Inserts

The main issue with these, apart from the size, is you need to swap them about before you put your build in unless you really and I mean really want to jack it up.

So that means sure you can suck on the mouthpiece and alter the AFC to get some idea of the airflow without it coiled, wicked and juiced, but it’s not the same as changing an insert on the fly so to speak.

Saying that, even for a fingers and thumbs old sod like me, swapping them out was easy enough – despite the fiddly tiny size.

Let’s look at each of the inserts individually.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – 1.8mm Insert

With this one on the deck and the airflow wide open, it was obviously the airiest vape of them all.

It’s a very smooth vape despite that, and extremely quiet.

I really struggled to get decent flavour at that setting and it only jumped a little half closed and even set on the smallest airflow hole.

I tried a number of wattage settings, from very low to as high as 31w and nope not much flavour going on here.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – 1.6mm Insert

Slightly more restricted, but not so you’d really notice.

Again lack lustre flavour wide open or tightly shut.

Again a smooth vape with little noise…little flavour too…

Loads of vapour!

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – 1.4mm Insert

Obviously the vape is now getting tighter albeit slightly.

I found 35w eked out a bit more flavour with the airflow on the second lowest setting.

Sadly nothing to write home about though – what I’d call an average flavour…decent clouds too.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – 1.2mm Insert

Things are slightly looking up for the Augvape Intake MTL RTA flavour wise with this airflow insert.

But again, not by much I’m afraid.

However, I did notice that airflow on the smallest hole and 35w did improve the flavour by a couple of notches.

Still not what I’d call amazing or even good flavour – average again…good cloudage though.

Augvape Intake MTL RTA – 1.0mm Insert

At last you ask?

Kind of says I.

There’s a definite improvement in flavour which begs the question why the need for the other inserts?

I wouldn’t scream from the hilltops this airflow insert turns the Augvape Intake MTL RTA into a flavour machine though.

At 33w the flavour was better by far than all the others, and with the tighter AFC ring settings it was markedly so.

This is definitely what you’d call a ‘proper MTL vape‘ as far as restriction is concerned.

But as for the flavour…not the best I’ve tried by a country mile.

Pros

• Hasn’t leaked once!

Cons

• Average flavour

Final Review Verdict

I reviewed the original Augvape Intake RTA and to be honest it didn’t blow me away scoring only an 8 on flavour – and that was me being generous.

The Augvape Intake Dual RTA was another I reviewed, and much preferred that rendition bumping the flavour score up to almost a 9.

Sadly the Augvape Intake MTL RTA continues the trend of not blowing me away.

Of course, it could be down to my builds – using Cotton Bacon V2 and the included coils – I always review tanks using the included coils first BTW – to see exactly what you get in the box…not everyone can make or has tons of coils to choose from.

However, I have used a coil I wrapped myself and switched cotton, and whilst I felt the slightest improvement in flavour [brain playing tricks?] it was not enough for me to get excited.

Airflow Inserts

Only two of the airflow inserts seemed to actually bump the flavour up a tad – so as I already said, why the need for x5 is maybe a little bit overkill…but hey what do I know…

On a plus note lol, it hasn’t leaked once – so that’s good

Sadly I stand by the flavour being distinctly average, so for me no matter how it looks, the fancy inserts and the ease of build aside, flavour is the BIG factor for me when testing any rebuildable, pod or sub ohm tank – and this one just don’t cut it I’m afraid.

As the tank has already been reviewed in the VX217 kit I will mainly concentrate on what the mod has to offer.

What To Expect From The Augvape Flash Kit…

First looking at the basics of the mod it is powered using a single removable battery.

You can choose from a 21700, 20700 or 18650 battery – all are compatible with this mod.

There is a kind of Variable voltage operation which I assume is adjusted using the fire button? The LED indicator changes colour according to which power level you are on:

• 3.5V (Red LED)
• 3.7V (Blue LED)
• 3.9V (Green LED)

I have not noticed a mention of a USB port – so I assume you need to charge your batteries externally with a good quality charger.

The body is made from Aluminium Alloy with an “Anti-Skid” design and does look pretty!

The Intake Sub Ohm Tank does come with a new Stainless Steel 890L mesh coil which apparently is more resistant to oxidation and corrosion which should improve coil life.

You can also still use the Intake range of coils including:

• Intake Clapton Mesh – 0.2ohm – this uses wires wrapped like a Clapton coil but built into a mesh configuration – so plenty of surface area to vaporise the e-liquid.
• Intake Mesh – 0.15ohm – standard mesh configuration – the material is not stated.

An adjustable airflow ring is located at the top of the tank which should help to prevent leakage from the airflow inlets.

Refilling is taken care of by removing the top cap to reveal the filling ports.

There seems to be plenty of colours to choose from – well if you like Black that is…(because there is only black!)

OK, I’ve worked closely with Augvape for quite a few years now and generally find its vape gear of high standard in what you could call the everyday vaping market – as in not priced out of most folks budget.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing though, unlike many reviewers and vapers I really didn’t like the Narada pod kit – or its successor the Narada Pro – but as I always say…what the hell do I know lol.

On a more positive note, I did really and I mean really enjoy the Augvape and Mass Mods S2 squonker and it’s still one of my preferred go to devices.

Other Augvape products I’ve enjoyed have included: the Augvape Merlin Nano RTA – the awesome Augvape VTEC 1.8 mod got me and many vapers all revved up, whilst the Mike Vapes Augvape Intake Dual RTA was a decent step up from the original.

What Can We Expect From the Augvape Druga RTA?

It’s a smart looking compact single coil tank with dual airflow.

Augvape says the airflow is 3D – which I guess mean the angled honeycomb ports on the deck.

The straight glass gives you 2.4ml capacity whilst the bubble glass has a generous 3.5ml.

It’s currently only available in x3 colours: Black – Stainless Steel and the Gun Metal version I received.

So with all that in mind, let’s take a look at how this one performs.

Key Features

As we’ve already established, the Augvape Druga RTA is a single coiler with dual ‘3D’ airflow – I guess a fancy name for the angled honeycomb style holes on the deck.

It’s quite a small RTA at 24mm wide, but seems to sit nicely on even larger mods I’ve tried.

The deck is dead simple to build on with Phillips screws and rather small wicking ports.

In all honesty it has an RDTA feel about it – no bad thing.

Design and Build Quality

As far as the design goes – I really like it.

It’s very compact and free from gaudy over the top logos and brand names.

Indeed there’s only one Druga logo and that’s etched into the barrel and tastefully done.

The knurling is low key too – but does the job admirably.

I’m not so keen on the screw off style cap – these days we expect slide off or swivel – however the fill ports are wide and take even the largest bottle nib.

It’s dual cyclops style airflow and mirrored on both sides.

All the moving parts are pretty good and the machining is up to the usual Augvape standard – as in very good.

It’s a plain low-profile black drip tip which I like. If that’s not your style other 810’s I’ve tried have fit – some others haven’t.

So first impression are I really – mean really like the look of this one.

Saying that, I was a little miffed at receiving the Gun Metal version – beggars can’t be choosers lol – however I reckon it sits beautifully on the Augvape VX200 mod…the only matching colour I have to hand.

So let’s see how it vapes…

How Does the Augvape Druga RTA Perform?

Without giving the game away…I’m pretty impressed…

I used a Tank Track coil [one I found in a dusty box lol] that ohm’d out at 0.45ohms.

I vaped from between 60 and 75w – I’m sure the real builder out there will enjoy experimenting with a variety of coils.

Building On the Augvape Druga RTA

As I’ve hinted at all ready, even for a clumsy old fool like me the build is a cinch – even without the clamps found on the Druga RDA’s.

Dependent on which way your coil legs are set, open up x2 of the screws and slide the legs in – easy.

It was a little tight snipping the legs and took me a few goes to get them flush – any jutting out might cause a short, so trim well.

I used the angled airflow ports as a guide and set the coil for maximum air coverage. The air doesn’t exactly ‘wrap around’ the coil, so as close to the base of the deck was my preferred spot.

Wicking the Augvape Druga RTA

It’s that old adage ‘less is more‘ with the Augvape Druga RTA.

The wicking ports are small and you will need to get the scissors out to give the tails a haircut.

Saying that, my first wick [shown in the photo] felt like a little too much cotton – however the Augvape Druga RTA coped very well indeed. However, I’d feel a bit happier with less cotton – which I did in my next build.

BTW – I did think the RTA had leaked due to the amount of cotton I initially used. However, swapping the straight glass for the bubble meant the O-ring had stayed on the straight and it was that causing the leak – NOT my wicking lol – so be aware, those O-rings are on tight and I need new glasses!

Augvape Druga RTA – Flavour and Clouds

Wow – when it comes to the vapour production is the answer – cloud chuckers will indeed rejoice – amazing clouds!

For the review I used the very tasty SuperGood Cocktail Collection Cosmopolitan flavour – a 70/30 VG/PG mix – a juice I’ve come to love!

I know the flavour very well indeed and was impressed – it almost matched my go to dripper – the Augvape BTFC RDA – and that really is saying something.

One downer is no matter how I set the airflow – fully open or almost shut off – the Augvape Druga RTA is pretty noisy…but hey that could be my builds…

As to the airflow…wide open and it’s a very airy vape with 10 being the max I’d set this at the high 8’s to even a 9 – the flavour didn’t dip too much though, always a good sign.

I found a happy vaping medium with the airflow half open.

Final Review Verdict

Despite the noisiness it’s not a turbulent vape – but then it’s not the smoothest.

There’s decent knurling on the airflow control – however it is very tight on the mod meaning it can be a bit tricky to handle in situ.

I’m a little surprised the Augavpe Druga RTA has a screw off cap – it’s 2020 and many RTA’s now have a swivel or slide. No biggie, just a little surprising and hence the drop in the design score.

The build deck is easy even for a novice and so is the wicking but keep the scissors handy as you’ll need them.

As I’ve already mentioned, the flavour is very good indeed and better than a few RDA’s I can mention.

Speaking of which, I’ve reviewed both the Druga RDA and Druga RDA V2 and can honestly say the Druga RTA just squeaks past both in the flavour scores.

So yeah, a pretty good RTA that delivers amazing clouds and very good flavour – highly recommended.

There’s been a number of changes which I shall go into shortly and the designer of the original Druga dripper – Indonesia’s Mike House Vapes now gets his name on the base.

I’ve worked closely with Augvape for quite some time and as I always say, tend to really enjoy the company’s rebuildables – tanks and mods.

My go to dripper is still the Augvape BTFC – the recently reviewed Augvape VX217 is a decent vape kit, whilst the Augvape and Mass Mods S2 squonk mod rarely leaves my side.

It’s not all been plain sailing though – I really didn’t like the Druga Narada nor the Druga Narad Pro pod kits – but hey a company as classy as this can be forgiven for the odd blip – plus many people loved them – I mean what do I know lol.

What Can We Expect From the Augvape Druga 2 RDA?

An easier build experience is top of my checklist!

Augvape says the major transformations are the new bigger harder wearing clamps and a big change in the airflow control.

And as always I’m hoping the great flavour and clouds – the original was very tasty indeed so it will be interesting to see if there’s an improvement.

Key Features

The major overhaul is the clamps – if they were big on the original on the Augvape Druga 2 RDA they are massive.

And that chunkiness goes through to the much larger post slots for your coil and the overly large and deep Phillips head screws to tighten your legs. And unlike the original dripper, they don’t completely unscrew either.

The clamps/posts are 18k gold – as are both 510s – which Augvape says increases conductivity.

The juice well is 6mm deep – it actually looks shallower being dwarfed by those huge posts.

There are 6 airflow holes on either side – making a dozen in total – and there’s a number of airflow options to choose from which I’ll look at later.

There’s also a squonk pin and really that’s about it for features.

Design and Build Quality

The Augvape Druga 2 RDA is made from stainless steel and as tends to be the case with most of the company’s products, the machining is perfectly acceptable.

The airflow control moves with just enough tension to make sure it stays in place and it’s a very smooth action even straight out of the box.

As for the new and improved clamps – or to give it the full name the CSS [Clamp Snag System] – as I’ll keep saying, they are big chunky and again very smooth to screw and unscrew.

The larger post slots coil legs bite down well and as I’ll mention later, you can get some big old coils in there in both dual or single coil mode.

Design wise it’s bang on point for my tastes – it’s a no frills unfussy clean lines kind of look and the stainless steel version I received looks very classy indeed – no garish logos and company names here.

The 810 drip tip is extremely low profile – which I like – and I have been able to swap a couple of my larger ones – though one didn’t fit.

So is it easier to build on than the original?

How Does the Augvape Druga 2 RDA Perform?

In my review of the previous version I said it was within “touching distance of being a superb RDA…”

That was 3 years ago and I was pretty new to all this building malarkey, and given Augvape had said the CSS was easy for even brand new builders – I did struggle – and wasn’t alone!

So how did I get on with the Augvape Druga 2 RDA? Let’s take a look…

Building On the Augvape Druga 2 RDA

I’ll cut straight to the chase…easy as pie!

Those posts/clamps whilst towering over the deck and taking up a lot of real estate – really are a vast improvement.

Being so big and wide means there’s much more room to slot in your coils.

In dual coil mode I was able to pop in all 4 legs tighten down and snip them tight no bother, and even fingers thumbs old man me sorted it first time – get me ha!

BTW – I only had 3mm Tri-Core Fused Claptons in my cupboard and they do look tiny in there, ‘proper‘ builders will enjoy popping a pair of chunky fancy ones in no worries – or of course a big single.

Wicking was a cinch too – and I kept quite longish tails to pack out the juice well as it is indeed deeper than it looks.

Augvape Druga RDA 2 Airflow

The original had a pair of quite narrow Cyclops style slots.

The Augvape Druga 2 RDA now has 6 holes either side and the clever top cap has steps so that each side mirrors.

Wide open and it’s a very airy vape with very good flavour – on a scale of 1:10 with 10 being gale force – it’s a 9 at least – a little bit of turbulence and a bit noisy too.

Just one airflow open and it’s very very tight indeed – not quite MTL tight – but close.

I found a happy medium with 2 of the holes closed off – this gave me very good flavour indeed – cut down on the turbulence and still delivered amazing clouds.

Incidentally the coils ohm’d out at 0.17ohms and I used Supergood Cosmopolitan flavour [lovely stuff] at 70/30 VG/PG – and it almost matched the flavour off my go to dripper – the Augvape BTFC.

And if I’m honest the squonk pin works with a nice action – though I did get one leak through the airflow holes by over-squonking.

Pros

• Very simple to build on
• Deep juice well
• Excellent airflow control options
• Great flavour
• Amazing clouds
• Classy design

Cons

• A little noisy – depends on airflow

Final Review Verdict

I ended my review of the original Druga dripper with the words:

…let’s hope the Druga 2 – should there be one – is genuinely ‘easy peasy’ to build on.

Augvape has certainly achieved that with the Druga 2 RDA – it’s probably one of the easiest decks I’ve built on.

Those clamps are massive and that deck might look crowded, but it really isn’t with more than enough wiggle room.

As I said earlier, I’m sure the real builders out there will enjoy popping in some of those fancy Dan chunky coils.

So yeah, it might have taken 3 years, but those little changes have made a big difference.

As to if the Augvape Druga 2 RDA is superb..?

Once again it’s close – but for me it doesn’t surpass the performance of the BTFC dripper.

However, if you don’t own that one – then this will give you great flavour and clouds – what more do you want?

I say powerful, it’s a dual battery mod taking 21700/20700 or 18650 batteries, giving it a max wattage of 217w and a whopping 12v!

Augvape say this is the follow up to the VX200 kit which was made of plastic and very lightweight. The Augvape VX217 kit is a much more solid device made from zinc alloy and has a rather chunky look about it.

I’ve worked closely with Augvape for some time now and generally like the kits, tanks and rebuildables they bring out.

My go to dripper is still the BTFC RDA – I found the Intake RTAs a little restrictive for me so it will be interesting to see if the sub ohm version is a little looser.

The last Augvape review I did was on the Druga Narada Pro pod mod and to be honest I was not that impressed…

What Can We Expect From the Augvape VX217 Kit?

Lots of power and lots of vaping options is the short answer.

I’m also hoping to get plenty of flavour from the Intake sub ohm tank – those clapton mesh coils sound very interesting.

The design of the mod has raised a few eyebrows – it does look rather chunky – let’s hope it’s more comfortable than it looks.

Good to see Augvape has offered different battery options and there is a sleeve to use regular 18650s.

The mod is technically the upgrade to the Augvape VX200 – I reviewed that one and didn’t like the plastic feel to it – this newer version is made of a more solid zinc alloy.

There’s a full set of vaping modes: Variable Wattage, Variable Voltage and Bypass and all settings are controlled by a dial rather than the fire button.

There’s a very smart looking 1.3inch display that really does have a wealth of information including how much life is left in both batteries – wattage – resistance and voltage.

A Type C USB charge port means this can be charged internally, though we always recommend an external battery charger.

Augvape VX217 Kit – Intake Sub Ohm Tank

The mod comes topped with the new Augvape Intake sub ohm tank which has been designed by US YouTube vape reviewer Mike Vapes.

With the bubble glass the capacity is 5mls – can’t find how much the straight glass holds but I’m guessing around 2/3mls.

You get x3 clapton mesh coils inside the box with a resistance of 0.15ohms – according to most websites – and extra coils can be bought in packets of 5.

There is a slight confusion on what coils are included – I’m guessing mine is a review sample and only had x2 coils included and both were 0.2ohms. I also received a packet of x5 0.20hm coils so no idea how the 0.15ohm coils perform.

The tank is a top fill with top airflow and looks very similar in design to the Intake RTA and the Intake Dual RTA.

Augvape VX217 Kit – Quick Start Guide

It’s a fairly straightforward set of controls:

• Press fire button x5 to turn on and off
• Press fire button x3 to enter menu
• Rotate the dial to scroll through the options
• Press fire button to select the option

Design and Build Quality

I’ve already mentioned the Augvape VX217 mod is made from zinc alloy and feels weighty in the hand.

The battery door feels solid and there’s no rattle whatsoever.

The dial is responsive to the touch however the fire button on mine feels a little spongy and kind of moves around when touching it.

Design wise it reminds me very much of the recently reviewed Asmodus Minikin V3 – no bad thing as I like that design…

Augvape says the VX217 kit is designed for thumb firers and it does indeed feel extremely comfortable for both left and right handers.

There’s x3 colour options, the full black I received, grey and the rather classy looking green.

The Augvape Intake sub ohm tank comes in x3 colours to match the kit – full black – a gun metal grey and stainless steel for the green set-up.

I have no issues with the tank whatsoever – my matte black looks awesome and everything comes apart beautifully and there’s a nice amount of resistance to the dual airflow ports.

How Does the Augvape VX217 Kit Perform?

In a nutshell – very well indeed!

Everything is extremely intuitive and refreshingly simple.

Using the dial is for me a great way to whizz through all the options.

However there is a slight niggle on how to lock in your wattage.

Once you’ve set it, you need to go back into the menu and select the ‘lock dial’. Not a big issue, just a bit annoying, but then once locked in I doubt you’ll need to change it much at all.

So the mod is very nicely put together and apart from the fire button on mine being a little wobbly, it looks good and feels good.

Big question…how’s the flavour off the Intake sub ohm tank?

How Does the Augvape Intake Sub Ohm Tank Perform?

I’ve already touched on the ease of filling and swapping out the coils.

I used the included 0.2ohm clapton mesh stock coil with a suggested wattage of 60 to 75w.

I began at 60w using the bloody delicious SuperGood Peach Bellini e-liquid from the Cocktail range – a 70/30 PG/VG mix.

I let the juice sit for 5 minutes – known as priming your coil – this means all the e-liquid is soaked into the cotton so no chance of a dry hit.

Mike Vapes Introduces the Augvape Intake Stock Coil Tank

Flavour Machines!

It’s been a very long time since I vaped on a sub ohm stock coil so was expecting at least one tank fill before the flavour came through.

However, the flavour absolutely hit the spot immediately – wow – this is an impressive vape!

Bumped up to 70w and the flavour got even better with all the right notes popping off my tongue and a ton of cloud!

As I said – this is an impressive sub ohm tank – those clapton mesh coils are absolute flavour machines.

BTW: the tank can be bought separately.

Augvape Intake Sub Ohm Tank – Airflow

Wide open it’s not the airiest tank out there by a long shot and it’s not the warmest vape either.

With 10 being ultra airy this is about a 7.5 – so a little bit of restriction.

Closed right off and this one’s tight for a sub ohm tank.

I do like plenty of air, so kept mine wide open. Whilst I might prefer a little less restriction I soon got used to it.

Pros

• Well built mod and tank
• Stunning design of the tank and mod
• Dial works very well
• Superb customizable screen – crystal clear
• 21700/20700 or 18650 batteries
• Plenty of vape modes
• Whole host of safety features
• Type C charging

• Tank a little noisy wide open but that’s nit picking!

Final Review Verdict

As you can see from the long list of Pros, the Augvape VX217 Kit is a bloody brilliant vape set-up to say the least.

It feels great in the hand with just enough weight and the thumb firing is very intuitive – pity the fire button on mine is a little loose.

The tank is bloody brilliant and trust me those coils will blow your minds – banging flavour as the young folk say – with clouds to match.

The last Augvape review I did I was a little hard, but they’ve come back with the VX217 kit and blown me away.

Not more to say apart from the Augvape VX217 Kit is highly recommended.

So a pretty good pedigree and given I wasn’t that keen on the original Narada Druga pod kit – let’s hope this one is a major improvement.

What Can We Expect From the Augvape Druga Narada Pro?

I’m hoping the changes have increased the flavour more than anything – I found the last version a little lacking in that department.

As you’ll see there’s certainly been some major tweaks – some might say total changes – and again as to if they’ve helped we’ll certainly see.

In a nutshell this is 30w max pod kit with airflow control – an LED screen and a wheel to roll through your options.

In the box are a DTL and MTL coil – the pod is now a side fill and an RBA kit can be bought separately.

Key Features

There’s been some major upgrades to the Augvape Druga Narada Pro – almost top to toe.

There’s now an LED screen and you cycle through your options using a wheel – reminiscent of the control on the Augvape VTEC 1.8.

The wheel also acts as the fire button and you can lock in your preferred wattage by clicking x3.

Augvape has kept it all very simple only displaying your wattage – battery level and resistance – so straightforward enough even for absolute beginners to vaping.

On the original you needed to remove the panels to get to the pod – now the pod snaps in and out from the side.

This now means you don’t need to dissemble the kit to get at the airflow, whilst it’s still on the pod – you can reach it whilst vaping buy pushing the little button up or down to suit.

You still need to remove the pod to fill which is not to much of a problem at all in the scheme of things.

It’s also a tad shorter and maybe not as heavy. Indeed the original Augvape Druga Narada was a solid piece of kit in the hand. The Pro is still sturdy but just somehow feels a little lighter – more on that in a moment.

Less Power

It’s a touch less powerful with a 950mAH battery maxing out at 30w and using the control wheel you can increase or decrease the wattage in 1w steps.

The Augvape Druga Narada Pro has USB-C fast charging and yeah I got it from flat to fully charged in just under half an hour – BTW, the lanyard acts as the cable as it did on the original.

Note: my review sample came with a bog standard cable…

OK, the pods are a 3.7ml or the 2ml TPD max – and the kit comes with x2 coils: 1.0 ohm MTL coil and the 0.4 ohm mesh coil for DTL.

Design and Build Quality

I’ve touched on the build quality and not sure why but the Augvape Druga Narada Pro doesn’t feel as solid in the hand or as well built to me.

It’s made from the same materials so it might just be my usual half assed opinion – but hey there it is…

The pods certainly don’t feel as ‘robust’ and the silicone stopper feels a little flimsy.

As for the airflow control – that too is a little stiff even after a lot of use from the pod, and if that works I’ll look at later.

Design wise – I much prefer the original which looked classy and screamed quality.

It could be that I received the grey and wood design – just looks a little tacky to me – the sticker is on firm enough – I just don’t like it.

Other options look a lot better – black and carbon and red and black.

So I’m a little underwhelmed at this point…so let’s see how the Augvape Druga Narada Pro pod kit vapes.

How Does the Augvape Druga Narada Pro Perform?

As I’ve already mentioned, there’s a DTL and MTL coil included as well as the RBA deck.

So let’s break it down to bite sized performance pieces.

How To Fill the Augvape Druga Narada Pro

The pod has a 3.7ml OR 2ml capacity depending on where you are in the world.

You fill by removing the silicone stopper – that simple!

Augvape Druga Narada Pro – 0.1ohm MTL Coil

I used my go to nic salt – Pachamama Sorbet – that stuff is liquid crack lol.

I began at a conservative 18w with the airflow pushed up fully – meaning wide open.

On a scale of 1:10 with 10 being the tightest, wide open and I’d place this at around a 7.5 – so reasonably loose and bang on my preferred style.

Not a huge difference half closed and once fully ‘shut off’ things really didn’t tighten up that much.

I’d pop this setting in the mid to high 7’s – a looseish MTL vape I guess.

Flavour wise it was OK – just short of good – though things improved after the second fill.

I found a happy medium at half open at 21w a touch over the max.

Not sure if ‘clouds’ are really a thing any more – but for a small device that MTL coil certainly pumped them out – impressive.

Augvape Druga Narada Pro – 0.4ohm DTL Coil

I thought I’d see if the Augvape Druga Narada Pro DTL coil could handle a 70/30 VG PG mix.

I used the Pachamama Fuji Apple Strawberry Nectarine – which if you haven’t tried it – you really should!

I let the juice sit on the coil for a good ten minutes – known as priming your coil – to let it all soak in.

No worries at all wicking and with the airflow wide open with 10 being as airy as it can get it was around a 9 – plenty of air!

Half closed and it was spot on my sweet spot – though again not much of a difference in airflow if I’m honest.

Flavour wise not bad – not amazing but slightly better than good and again the clouds were impressive.

BTW both coils are very noisy…

Augvape Druga Narada Pro – RBA Deck

If you read my review of the original you’ll remember I had an absolute nightmare building on it.

With my clumsiness and fading eyesight it was a real challenge to say the least – not just me either – many ‘proper’ reviewers struggled.

So is the RBA deck on the Augvape Druga Narada Pro any better..?

In a word…nope!

I seriously almost gave up…no joke…

On the original’s RBA deck you had a useful gadget that allowed it to sit on a 510 – a mod or build platform.

Not so here, and to make it even more fiddly – the deck pushes away from the pod very easily.

So it’s a case of fingers and thumbs literally.

The screws are cross-head and tiny – the gap to get the wire to bite is minuscule and for someone with terrible eye sight little or no dexterity and who can’t even change a plug…this was testing to say the least.

The worst part for me is the question was it worth all the fannying and frustrating around..??

Not really – lol – maybe a slight jump in flavour using a basic round wire coil at 1.1ohms.

Buy it by all means – but be prepared for angst in the bucket full!

Final Review Verdict

If I was luke warm on the original, I’m just tepid on the Augvape Druga Narada Pro.

I’ve worked with Augvape for a long time now and love pretty much all their products.

However the company’s journey into pod mods just doesn’t do it for me.

The new Augvape Druga Narada Pro just doesn’t light my fire at all.

The pod is cheap and clunky – the flavour is muted and don’t get me started on the bloody RBA deck…

Trust me, building on that is a nightmare and then some.

It’s so small I can barely see it and there’s no way of anchoring it anywhere – apart from the battery which makes getting at it harder still!

Not even worth the effort given the slightest bump in flavour.

Sadly, and as much as I love Augvape, they really need to drop this range IMHO – just doesn’t cut it…
